Fantastic experience: Denise at Crystal Lake Travel coordinated a family group of 11 traveling from 4 different states, all meeting up in Cancun. The planning and execution went flawlessly. Denise called all groups several days before the trip to explain everything - flights, transport and resort info. For a group of super busy professionals, it was great to have Denise to make everything go smoothly.

Fantastic experience: My wife and I had never been on a cruise and are generally not cruise people. But we love to dance and found out about a cruise with a company called Cunard. They offer cruising with the Queen Mary 2, which has a full dance floor. We initially tried to do the booking ourselves but soon realized it would be better to work with a travel agent. Enter Vickie Zinanni. She is the cruise specialist with Crystal Lake Travel. She took care of us in a very special way, handling most of the details. She is a great listener and a true professional. We just got back and it was a wonderful experience. We will definitely do it again and will look for Vickie’s help. The cruise started and ended in New York

Fantastic experience: MARCIA at Crystal Lake Travel is an expert at what she does! A large group of travelers just got back from 2 weeks aboard and thanks to Marcia it went beautifully!!! We had some unexpected tragedies before and during the trip and without Marcia helping along the way it could have been so much worse. She knows her stuff and offers great advice while paying attention to every detail. She was always communicating with us and patiently answered all our questions. Fantastic experience: We've used Crystal Lake Travel for a few trips now, both cruises. We worked with Julie both times and felt she was really helpful in helping us pick the best room type/rate and finding excursions while at port. The booking process was smooth, and prior to our departure she drops off any documents you might need for the trip, including luggage tags for the cruise process, which seems small, but it's helpful. Fantastic experience: Patty organized our daughter's destination wedding in Punta Cana. She had just been there on a 'fam' trip and had great things to say about 3 resorts. We chose Dreams Macao Beach and couldn't be happier. The resort's wedding package is called 'Beyond Memorable' and it was!!!!! Top notch from start to finish. She managed accommodations, which includes trip insurance and airport transfers, and offered air transportation for our group of 50. We needed A LOT of hand-holding. Patty was very helpful and provided the support we needed. I highly recommend Patty and the many travel experts at Crystal Lake Travel :)

Fantastic experience: It was great working with Sue for our Japan trip last fall. She was very helpful and was always there whenever we had questions. She arranged a walking tour in Tokyo which was the best. We had our own tour guide for the entire day. Michjko was our guide and she took us to all the places we wanted to see please more that she thought we would like and she was right. We would highly recommend a walking tour to hear all about Japan. We took a tour to Mt Fuji and went to Hiroshima, which I think everyone should see and experience. The Tokyo Prince Hotel was right across the street from Tokyo Tower and in the heart of everything. The best Hotel. We are looking forward to using Crystal Lake Travel for all our trips.

Fantastic experience: Julie was great when helping us plan our 14 day honeymoon trip to Europe. We had extremely high expectations for our first trip abroad together and with her help we had the best trip! We traveled to Italy (Rome and Florence) and Switzerland (Interlaken, Lucerne, Zurich). She helped with all our travel arrangements, making sure our train views had the best seats for all the views in the Swiss Alps and that our accommodations were the best locations for what we wanted to do. Julie was able to provide a sample itinerary in each city and we were able to choose what we wanted to do. It was a great help in giving us an idea of where to start with our planing. Additionally her knowledge and expertise of the region allowed her to give us valuable feedback and recommendations which greatly improved our trip. There is no way we would have been able to plan a more perfect trip on our own had Julie not helped us and looking back we would not have changed anything!

We ultimately chose the Viking River Tour from Budapest to Bucharest with an extension to Istanbul. What a fantastic trip! From booking to answering all our questions, Vickie was *aces*. Fantastic experience: I just recently had a big birthday and we wanted to plan a trip to Italy but had no idea where to start. I goggled travel agencies in the area and Crystal Lake Travel caught my eye with a five star rating. So we called and Marcia Curtis answered the phone it was surreal because it was an immediate connection! We scheduled an appointment to meet with Marcia and again we just knew she was our lady right away. Marcia asked so many questions so genuinely concerned about what we really wanted in this trip. She listened one of the most important qualities. We discussed a couple of options a Regency cruise which did look wonderful or a land trip. We decided on a land trip because it was my first time going to Italy. Marcia put together an itinerary that was absolutely perfect it looked like a dream vacation and it was! We also discussed adding a cooking class which was amazing Marcia just made everything happen! I really can’t say enough about this entire trip the Hotels, the travel, the private tours and guides and how she took into consideration that we have Parkinson’s to deal with as well. We have never experienced a trip like this ever and it would have never happened if we hadn’t met Marcia. Fantastic experience: Sue does a great job with our Europe travels & Denise also with our Mexico trips. They pay attention to every detail on our list of things we want in each of our trips. We just got back from our travels to Spain & France and had a great time! We especially enjoyed Nice, France and the location to the surrounding places such as Monte Carlo, Monaco & even made it to San Remo, Italy. The Sagrada Familia Cathedral was beautiful in Barcelona. Fantastic experience: I was looking for a fun trip across Europe, with Switzerland being on that stop. Marcia Curtis helped make that trip happen! Fantastic experience: Kayce from Crystal Lake Travel helped us book a great honeymoon. She helped us book private transportation also which was a huge plus! Everything was a seamless process. We stayed at Kore Tulum which was a very quiet and peaceful resort. Despite some Drawbacks to the resort , the food was great, staff was awesome, drinks were flowing. Tulum is a great place to explore, whether you want to find peace or adventure.

Julie helped make our long travel days seamless between booking our flights, scheduling our private transfers, and booking both out hotels. Everything went so smoothly. Fantastic experience: We had an amazing time in Sao Miguel in Ponta Delgada, Azores. As soon as we landed, we were greeted with our names on a sign and the taxi ready. We were then greeted by the Doormen of our 5 star European Hotel, The Grand Hotel. Immediately impressed, our luggage met us upstairs after we ate at the daily breakfast buffet as our welcome meal. We rested up that eve and prepared for our first excursion of the trip, ATVing around Sete Cidades with ANC ATV rentals. All transportation is included in this tour and it was the tour of a lifetime. I would highly recommend going with the 8 hour tour versus the half day as there is SO much to see. This really set expectations high for the rest of the trip, and we weren't disappointed. We did a different excursion every single day. The weather in the Azores is impossible to plan around as it changes by the minute… but we made the most of it! We had one free day on Wednesday, and hired a private driver, Jose, because we wanted to see more of the beautiful island. Our last night, we got on a private sail boat sunset cruise and it might have been my favorite part. Dolphins swarmed our boat and swam along the sides doing flips and tricks as our farewell- truly a magical experience. As for food, Azores is home of the best burger I've ever had. Considering the cows outnumber the people at 300,000, this makes sense! Being immersed in the Azorean culture was truly special and I cannot wait to return. Being in a foreign city for the first time, it was so nice to have everything so thoughtfully planned out for us. Fantastic experience: We just returned from a Royal Caribbean cruise booked through CL Travel by Vickie. We originally had scheduled it in 2020 and had to change the dates 3 times due to covid. Each time, Vickie arranged for the new dates, ships and costs so that we did not have to deal with it. She made the cruise experience so easy by providing everything we needed for our cruise. She kept us informed of everything we needed to know about the cruise. We would use her for all our cruises in the future.

Negative experience: Was in contact with one of the Travel Agents here. I was hoping on planning 2 trips but after a couple quotes they stopped communication. No attempts to contact me even though they had all my information. Pretty disappointed ended up booking my own trips. all the agent does is use Apple Vacations anyway. Poor service for a dying position no wonder why. Would have loved the remaining quotes, tips and knowledge I requested, but learned pretty quickly they were not going to be very helpful and apparently did not value me as a customer.

Fantastic experience: I’ve always dreamt of going to Hawaii and Patty made every wish come true! We stayed at the Honua Kai in Maui and WOW the view from our balcony was breathtaking. It truly took me a second to believe it was real! From the catamaran and snorkeling, to really being immersed into the Hawaiian culture at the Luau- Patty didn’t miss a beat. If you are looking to go to Maui I would highly recommend booking a sunrise excursion to Haleakalā. You’ll have to depart around 2:30 AM - but it’s so worth it. Overall I’d give Crystal Lake Travel a 12/10. Patty was always available and just the sweetest- book your next trip with an agent so you can spend all of your time relaxed like I did!!

Fantastic experience: Just returned a week ago from an Ireland group trip ! All I can say is WOW! what a ride! This was our first trip on a bus tour with Globus coordinated by Crystal Lake Travel. It won’t be our last. Denise and Patty worked tirelessly to ensure every detail of this trip was met. All transfers were handled , all airline arrangements , all accommodations were 5 star! It is the easiest way to travel. Our tour guide in Ireland was spectacular she even decorated our bus for St Patrick’s day back to Dublin after visiting the entire southern countryside. Each county was better than the next and Ireland is now one of our favorites and we have been to a lot of places ! I traveled with my young adult kids, this was the second group trip with them and crystal lake travel, two of their best vacations ever! If you have an opportunity to jump on one of their group trips or coordinate one of your own, you will NOT be disappointed. Travel can be stressful, they take the stress out of it all. I am often asked why use a travel agent , well my son is now on a group trip with school with a large booking online company and it has been nothing but a nightmare with no personalized service but an 800# I will never use or recommend anyone else .

Fantastic experience: Letitia made our trip to Kauai a breeze! The Grand Hyatt resort we stayed at was beautiful with multiple restaurants, pools, and stores. She was very informative about the island to prepare us for excursions and necessities. For instance, a rental car was definitely needed to explore the island and go on different hikes and tours. We got to go zip lining, horseback riding, mountain tubing, snorkeling, and even saw a luau! This has been our favorite vacation and island to visit in Hawaii. Thank you Crystal lake travel!

She has always been there for us, looking for the best pricing, working out travel arrangements, following up to get a return when cancer treatment prevented us from traveling. Fantastic experience: This was our first time using a new travel agency. Janet Lutsch with Crystal Lake Travel was by far the best agent we have used! She treated us like we were her only clients. She was very knowledgeable and we tried a Sandals resort in St. Lucia for the first time and really enjoyed our trip. It was truly a memorable trip of a lifetime. Janet took the time to explain everything from A to Z. She gave us such great detailed information that our entire vacation was a smooth and exciting experience. Negative experience: Was given a phone number for a person to call to help me with my travel and the call was never returned. Took that as a sign to not give out my money since some of the other reviews were just as bad experience as mine.

When Covid hit and our trip was cancelled due to travel restrictions, Denise Roper helped me to reschedule our trip. Everything went so smoothly! The hotel was gorgeous, the excursions exciting and the food fantastic!! Patty and Denise both helped with information on how to proceed through the airport and all the covid testing protocol that would have to be done. They were right on point and we didn't miss a beat!! Ever since covid, traveling has become very complicated and stressful but at Crystal Lake travel they are so knowledgeable about specific covid protocol they give you the information you need wherever you go. They go above and beyond to make sure your vacation goes as smooth as possible. I am traveling to hawaii (the state with the strictest covid protocols) and Patty at crystal travel helped me every step of the way. Seriously if you want to take the stress out of planning travel go to these guys!!

Wedding planning is a stressful time, but Crystal Lake Travel made planning our honeymoon an absolute breeze! They listened to what we were looking for and gave us multiple amazing options on trips, providing us with honest "pros" and "cons" for each. Before the trip, our agent called and walked me through every single detail from when we got on the plane to when we stepped into our hotel room; For someone who hardly travels...I felt so prepared and confident headed to the airport! We had the BEST time at our resort and couldn't be happier.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to this agency by a bride doing a destination wedding to Aruba. They are professional, courteous and efficient. Denise Roper was my main point of contact. She was great with follow-up and answering any questions I had. If she wasn't available someone else got back to me timely and Denise often responded after hours. In this day and age of everything being done online and with no personal contact, Crystal Lake Travel was a refreshing experience.

The attention to detail, empathy shown to their clients, and professionalism are all attributes all customer service companies should take note of. The team members at CLT really do care about each and every travel experience as if they are taking care of their own family members. They treat everyone with respect, fairness and genuine interest to make the travel experiences the best they can be. I’m pleased that we are a client of the company and part of their “family”.

Negative experience: We booked my daughters wedding through Patty DeRoo to Punta Cana. My experience with Patty was one of the worst I've had. She is very rude and hard to deal with. When we first booked and put down our deposit I asked if these prices go down will she be sure to get us the cheaper price. And she assured us that she would. When it came time to pay the full amount of our trip, I was informed by one of my friends how much was left on her to bill to pay. (She booked her trip a few months after me.) Hers was a litle more than $400.00 less than mine and my cousins. I immediately called Patty DeRoo and asked her why we didn't get the cheaper price and she took no ownership of not taking care of that. She also informed me that in order for me to get the cheaper price, I would have to cancel my trip then rebook and also lose my deposit that I put down. So, I wouldn't be saving a thing. And it also had something to do with the flight was full so Apple wouldn't honor the cheaper price. At that point I didn't care who was giving me the $400.00, I just wanted what she promised me in the beginning, if costs went down, I would get the cheaper price. When I would call her she screened her calls not to talk with me. I did eventually get the price difference. But not without having to constantly call and when I was able to talk with Patty DeRoo she was always very rude to me. We had about 34 people go on this expensive trip. Not only myself, the mother of the bride, but the grooms mother said how rude Patty DeRoo was to her on numerous occasions when they spoke. We were informed by Apple Vacations at the hotel where we stayed that if we were to have booked through them directly we would have saved 25% less than what we paid going through Crystal Lake Travel. To sum up, would I ever book through Crystal Lake Travel again. NO NO NO!!!
