Fantastic experience: Went to exchange currency for trip overseas. Was very easy process and staff was extremely helpful. They explained it could be 3 to 5 day turn around but for me it was 2. Transaction was done on Thursday morning and I picked up on Sat morning. Have used AAA for more common issues in the past. In my opinion this service is just as good

Fantastic experience: I've been to the AAA Farmingdale office twice in the past couple of months. 1st was for an International Driver's Permit and most recently to register a vehicle. I was a walk-in for the IDP and was taken immediately. They also do currency exchange! The gentleman who took care of me was professional, polite and efficient. I made an appointment for the DMV services. While it was very busy, once I was sorted (I had forgotten a form), the process was smooth and so much better than a visit to the DMV.

Fantastic experience: We have been using AAA in Farmingdale for a few years now. We updated our licenses there. My son was able to update his license there. It is so much more convenient than the Dmv. They really add a personal touch. They could smile a little more, but they are very helpful and definitely know what they’re doing and aim to please.

Negative experience: I recently visited AAA for my TSA PreCheck application and had a mixed experience. Upon arrival, the agent checking us in behind the counter at the front desk greeted us with great energy, which set a positive tone. However, when it was my turn for the interview, the demeanor of the woman conducting the process changed dramatically. While she had been very friendly, flirtatious, and engaging with my husband—laughing, touching, and even suggesting he consider a job there—her attitude towards me was quite different. I felt she was less than welcoming and didn’t allow me to ask any questions. The interview felt rushed, which left me feeling confused about the process. Interestingly, my husband received approval within a week, while I am still waiting for my status. Overall, while the initial greeting was warm, the interview experience was not as positive for me.

Fantastic experience: I came here a while ago for TSA Precheck and today for a license renewal. Both times the staff have been so friendly and competent. Make the right appointment, come with the right documents, and you'll be in and out. I became a AAA member mostly because it's required to make appointments here, and it's definitely a huge perk! If you guys read this, thanks so much for your help :)

Fantastic experience: They were helpful, friendly and worked hard to make sure that my new license was able to provide me with my travel needs. They are also dog friendly, which means a lot to us during her last months of her life since she has a brain tumor and is on a lot of medication. Everyone treated her with love, that made her happy.

Fantastic experience: Went here to renew and also upgrade my drivers license to an enhanced ID. Process was quick and handled well by the nice lady who helped me. Took my new photo and administered the required eye test. I paid my fee and left with my temporary license. Total time spent...15 minutes. Going to AAA to take care of many DMV transactions is much faster and so much more pleasant than having to go to the DMV and dealing with the large crowds, having to pay attention to your number being called and then dealing with an unfriendly DMV robot.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed with your sales company. I was led to believe that I was getting a new battery installed in my vehicle. The man that came to give me a jump sold me an old battery that lasted 5 mos. my mechanic told me that label on the battery said 7/21, I found this out when my machanic had to install a new battery. I bought the battery from your company in April 2022. I was misinformed and misled to believe that i was getting a new battery in which i paid $172.00 for.

Fantastic experience: Came to get an international drivers permit. Staff was attentive and quick. I noticed it was pretty busy for a weekday at 3pm. If anyone else wants to get an international drivers permit- look online for the form, fill it out, bring 2 passport photos, your drivers license, and $20 here. It's very easy. You don't have to be a AAA member.

Positive experience: As a non-member, I was unsure of what to expect when going in to use their services. They were courteous and patient. They took the time to answer my questions fully. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. I've been to this location during lunchtime, and I'd advise you to avoid it then. They share parking with several of the only restaurants in the area, so it can be nearly impossible to park here around noon on a weekday.
