Negative experience: Good luck trying to get a hold of someone. And when you do, you get put on hold only to keep getting disconnected. This has happened more than once. And I’ve asked them to send my membership card in the Mail and of course, they have no clue why I haven’t received it. AND, I now want to cancel cannot get anyone on the phone to cancel. They definitely don’t make it easy to keep customers.

Negative experience: This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with any insurance company. They pulled money out of my account and refunded it multiple times, turns out whole time I was driving without insurance because Deborah Jones had messed something up with my policy. Along with that I STILL DONT HAVE ACCESS TO THE AAA APP because she told me there was an issue and she would call me back to help and no one has helped me I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated with AAA. They should be more thorough with who they hire.

Fantastic experience: Full transparency, I do not conduct business with this location but do use AAA Home and Auto Insurance. Earlier this week, I had to file a claim due to a tree hitting our house during severe weather. Roughly 1 hour after filing a claim, i received an email from AAA soliciting additional business from me, which as one can imagine does not sit well when this coincides with an already dizzying situation. After all this, i have to give a shout out to Carolyn Jackson. She handled a very frustrated human with perfection and deserves the kudos owed.

Negative experience: This company is an absolute joke. No amount of “being nice” on the phone will get you anywhere. You plebs are gonna pay for your insurance and that’s that! Even if AAA doesn’t cover you anymore, you’re gonna get bills

Fantastic experience: Very smooth and expedient visit to get International Driving Permits. They took our passport photos as well for the permits.

Negative experience: I wish I could give them zero stars. No one helped us. After about 30 minutes of waiting, my husband called the 800 number and did everything by phone while we still sat there. When he was done, there was still no one that helped in any way.

Positive experience: Office was supposed to open at 8:30, got there at about 8:35 and the doors were locked. Got back in the car and started to drive away. Decided to call them and someone answered. Asked them what time they opened and they said 8:30. Asked why the door was locked and the answer was 'I think someone is opening it now'. Went back and was able to take care of my business.

Fantastic experience: Service Rep Nicki North is TOPS! What a Call Center Rep failed to do Nicki was able to take care of it, she got my auto insurance updated and saved me $126 annually, too. I highly recommend you ask for Nicki North if you use this AAA Office.

Negative experience: Double the price, membership required, and absolutely terrible website. The local agent-driven insurance model is dying, get out and you will save money. I've experienced regressive customer service from Reniseya since 2015. She started out as a fantastic partner and great communicator when I initially bought my home, but the last few years I've been very disappointed with her increasingly short and grouchy attitude. Reniseya is overly professional to the point of being disingenuous, condescending when simple questions are asked, and doesn't seem interested in your individual situation. I now pay half the price for both my home and auto insurance, and don't have to deal with a human.

Negative experience: Sat for 25 minutes waiting to speak to an agent... I was the only one there. They could have at least told me it was going to be that long of a wait to see someone. I ended up leaving before seeing anybody.

Negative experience: Been using AAA Birmingham with same agent for more than 20 years. Bill Rankin didn't even bother to call when he noticed abnormalities, he just let the account turn on and off repeatedly until I was driving without insurance and not even knowing it. I could have would up in serious trouble! Twenty years and tens of thousands of dollars didn't warrant a call, apparently. Shameful level of service, seriously shameful.

Negative experience: Eek! Me things not is right. I've never dealt with a business that adds less value than this one. I solicited the services of a full service agent for the oversight, as I had just recently moved from Northville to Birmingham. I figured this might make sense from the standpoint that I need a one stop shop to get my insurance affairs in order, right? Wrong! I just got renewals for an apartment I vacated 6 months ago, so I've been unnecessarily paying insurance on a non-existent dwelling. T They could have added value by completing the transaction in a seamless manner or by calling to remind me of this at the time my home owner's policy went into effect. Again, it was a crazy time for me in that I was buying a house, closing, moving, changing addresses, etc., etc. A good agent would have ensured my insurance affairs were properly in order. To add another story,, I uncovered the fact that they hadn't switched over my auto policy to my correct Birmingham address. I just avoided this agency altogether and called the 800 number where I talked to somebody knowledgeable. We did the transfer and requested a insurance policy checkup. She advised that I was paying for medical insurance in the policy that I might get through my employer- turned out it was a huge savings. My full service agent didn't do this, so I had to figure it out on my own by asking the right questions. Thanks for nothing, Bill Rankin!
