Fantastic experience: Interesting tour and knowledgeable guide. Very worthwhile tour.

Fantastic experience: We are so happy we went with West Point for our wedding shuttles! Their team was so responsive and helpful in organising how many shuttles we needed and what times everyone needed to be picked up. We had a lot of guests coming in from out of town and the whole process of getting them from our hotel block to the wedding and then the after party was so seamless!

Fantastic experience: Tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a wonderful bus/walking tour!! She was very respectful of the military, West Point and the Cadets. Recommend to everyone who has never been there. Loved her quote from Colin Powell’s graduation speech at USMA.

Fantastic experience: The 2hr 15min History and Tradition Cemetery tour is an amazing tour that takes you all along the USMA grounds and highlights some of its most iconic (historical) features and monuments. The guide really knew her stuff! Highly recommended for anyone interested in West Point its history and that of the US Army.

Fantastic experience: Duty—Honor—Country. If you love this country and all its democratic values, a visit to West Point is a must. I never felt more inspired or patriotic, with a terrific tour guide (Sherrie) leading us by bus and on foot to see the campus and magnificent setting on the Hudson River. I learned a lot, and the length (1 hour and 15 minutes) is just perfect.

Fantastic experience: Amazing tour, the tour guide knew a lot more information than any other tour I have ever been on before. She tied a lot of stories into the tour that made it special. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to learn a little more about our military history.

Fantastic experience: The tour through West Point was enjoyable and informative, the guide was very knowledgeable, well spoken , and very pleasant in describing what we were seeing and answering all questions that were presented by the people on the bus, the bus itself was very comfortable , this is my second visit and will likely not be my last, the place is absolutely beautiful

Positive experience: A fun tour and fair for $20. Bear in mind, it's limited. You only enter one building: the chapel. The bus windows were also in need of cleaning, so photos were spotty at times. Very nice guide though--and funny at times. And entertaining to see the grounds and views. I would never do it again, but once was fun. Nevertheless, room for improvement.

Fantastic experience: Glenn had a wonderful personality and a wealth of information. We were able to gain a lot of information in just an hour and a half!

Positive experience: Tour was ok. The first part was really great! We learned a lot of the history of WPMA. The 2nd part of the tour, the cemetery, was too long. The guide was very soft spoken and really concerned about where we were standing and following orders. She gave no time for questions. She worked off a script and did not make things interesting. I could have been a better experience with a better guide.

Fantastic experience: This is the way to experience West Point! Sandy expertly chauffeured us to all noteworthy points on an air-conditioned bus with velour-lined, comfortable seats. Despite being hoarse, Tom talked continuously, pointing out buildings and fields and their historic background and current use. He was engaging, knowledgeable, friendly and well-organized. We could not have asked for a more informative tour.

Fantastic experience: Due to the nature of the site, the tour is pretty limited, but it's very well run and the things you do see and places you get off the bus are worth it. If you're into history, military, or education don't miss it.

Fantastic experience: We were scheduled for a tour when multiple members of our party fell ill. Although they won’t issue a refund, they offered a gift certificate for the whole amount that never expired. On top of that, they sent wishes that we all feel better soon. That last part, the personal part went a long way with me. Good customer service is always a bonus ! Can’t wait to rebook because we were really looking forward to it.

Positive experience: Just ok. Biggest problem. Guide didn’t mention bathrooms. I’ve been on many many towards and they always mention a place to stop. And told her it was two hours with the amount of time we waited on the bus. You have to allow for older people, especially that might have to use the restroom. Bus bathroom was locked. Especially since it was a very hot day and people drinking a lot of water to stay hydrated. Also, maybe the tour guide needs a microphone we couldn’t hear her in the chapel.

Fantastic experience: This was my second tour of West Point. Melanie our tour guide was incredible! Excellent information of the Academy. She was uplifting, had stories and facts. A must tour if ever near Highland Falls! The Best!

Positive experience: The tour of West Point was very nice. We did not do the cemetery tour because we were late arriving for the original tour. My GPS didn't give us the best dirrections, but we would not have been late if there was better signage in town as you approach it. They were very accommodating and able to get us in on the next tour. Fascinating history and we enjoyed the beautiful views of the Hudson River. Bus driver and guide were very good. The museum was closed due to renovation, so maybe next time.

Fantastic experience: Excellent tour! A group of us drove up to West Point yesterday for a day visit. We had lunch across the street, then met the tour group at the bus. We did the history and cemetery tour, and we all found it a valuable learning experience. I definitely recommend the tour. We plan to return when the museum reopens.

Mary was an deeply knowledgeable and friendly tour guide who answered all of our questions thoroughly and patiently. She clearly has a deep love for the history, lore, and importance of West Point. Our son is applying to West Point, and since there are no official Admissions tours this time of year, we were incredibly grateful for such a professional and detailed tour provided by West Point Tours. Fantastic experience: What an experience! West Point is stunning, and what an honor to have had the opportunity to visit such a fine school. The history is fascinating. The tour lasts approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes, but allow extra time to visit the museum. It is worth visiting.

Fantastic experience: Interesting and enjoyable! To give you an idea of how organized and precise the cadets are, I'm attaching a picture taken in the chapel. Take a look at the way the Bibles and the hymnals are lined up!

Positive experience: Very nice tour, very educational, great scenery of the Hudson Valley. The tour guide was very informative. The tour does not go into any of the buildings (which look amazing from the outside).

Negative experience: This was my second time taking the West Point tour—my first visit was back in 2012, and this time I went so my child could check it out. Honestly, for the price though, it’s just an okay experience. The highlight is definitely the large chapel, which is stunning, but after that, you mostly just see an open courtyard, a field, and some war memorials. I really wish the tour included a look inside a dorm room or more of the campus facilities. I also wasn’t very impressed with our tour guide; they had no previous connection to West Point and didn’t seem interested in answering questions, even though there were only a few people on the tour. On a positive note, the updated museum (from around 2017) is very well done, and the new visitors center is beautiful with an outstanding view. For comparison, the Annapolis campus tour in Maryland was much better value—they took us into many more areas and offered a richer experience overall.

Fantastic experience: Today myself and a friend surprisingly received an excellent private guided bus tour called ‘WP Story’ (private was unplanned; we were the only 2 signed up). Diane was our wonderful and knowledgeable guide and she spoke the entire time sharing WP history, fun facts, pointing out important markers, Hudson River history, etc. And she happily answered our many questions. Our time in the Chapel was my favorite part of seeing the stunning campus! I highly recommend this tour experience and the 20$ cost is very fair. Departing from the visitors center is super easy with plenty of parking close by.

Fantastic experience: We took the History and Tradition Cemetery Tour in September. Our guide was Tom. A good guide makes for a good tour and in this case the tour we took was beyond excellent. Tom enthusiastically shared his wealth of knowledge of the history and traditions of West Point, which included some of the famous people who were West Point graduates. The visit to the Old Cadet Chapel and the West Point Cemetery were complimented by Tom’s narrative, which, to me, brought these places to life. One thing that I really appreciated on the tour was the fact that when one of the tourists was taking a call on their cell phone, Tom approached the tourist and kindly directed him to an area where the call could be taken so as not to lessen the tour experience for the other patrons. We had a two day visit to West Point and this tour was beyond a doubt, the highlight of our trip. I strongly recommend this tour.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday 11/09/24 myself and my two young children had the honor of visiting West Point and taking the tour. With the proximity to Veterans Day and on UK’s Memorial Day weekend it was a particularly poignant visit for me. Our tour guide was highly knowledgeable and took the time to really bring the history of what George Washington called the “Key to the continent” to life. We particularly enjoyed our cheery driver and his sunny disposition, that matched the weather that day. I had a minute after the tour to talk with our tour guide and he shared that his father survived the normandy landings! We then went to the museum and saw for ourselves the nazi surrender details. This filled me with pride in the Anglo-American partnership now formed despite our differences in the days of the great George Washington. Absolutely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Excellent tour with an excellent driver and an experienced tour guide (who previously worked in the history department at West Point!). Hit a few key spots on the campus and was able to spend time in the chapel and at Trophy Point. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We joined the WP bus tour on Sunday. At the time of leaving the WP visitor’s center, our car won’t start. All the local garages were closed on Sunday. We got stuck. Margaret K. at the visitor’s center heard us. She was exceptionally nice and helpful by making multiple phone calls to get us help, and borrowing a tool box for us to try…Finally with her extra efforts the fire department people came to jumpstart the car so we could drive back home in Pennsylvania. Positive experience: Overall, we had a great experience working with West Point Tours. We worked with Jeanne to rent a 44 passenger school bus for our wedding in the Hudson Valley. Jeanne let us know when we initially called that our wedding weekend was a busy fall weekend, so we should book asap to confirm. This was a helpful tip and we booked right away. Our bus schedule was complex as it had multiple hotel stops in advance of the wedding ceremony and after the reception. We did hear that the bus driver actually missed a stop in advance of the wedding, so we did have to delay the start time and a handful of guests were late to the wedding. However, everyone ultimately got to where they needed and people appreciated the service. We had a really fun bus ride on the way to our after party and I enjoyed speaking with the driver. He was very kind and shared sentiments that our DJ / wedding sounded really fun. I’d definitely recommend if you have a larger wedding and concerned about how people are going to get to / from a wedding. They will work with you and help solve this logistical challenge!

Positive experience: A good tour to take. Would love for it to be longer to explore the monuments and statues. The Battle Monument would be a great stop to explore. Also the artillery display on Trophy Point would be worth while to cover. There are historic pieces there and no explanation for them was given.

Positive experience: Very interesting. History, especially Revolutionary War, is my passion so seeing West Point meant a lot to me. The guide was very interesting but I felt she had a bit of an attitude and seemed brusque and annoyed at times. I felt a bit uncomfortable with her. But, of course the tour was worth every second and I plan to come back to visit the museum, which closed at 4:15 so I missed it. Highly recommend it if history interests you.

Negative experience: POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! Just read some of the snarky responses by the tour owner. They have no interest in listening to concerns and resolving issues…only try to justify their shortcomings. The tour is not interesting. Very little history or facts are discussed. Only childish anecdotes by the boring tour guide. Insufficient stops at monuments and key areas. Can’t wait to read the response to this review

Fantastic experience: Our tour guide was a retired history professor from West Point, he was informative, personable and entertaining during our tour. The personal stories about West Point only added to our visit. We've been to the Saratoga National Battlefield in Schuylerville and Fort Ticonderoga, the connection was made with the captured artillery pieces and the chain used to block the Hudson River. The two chapels and cemetery were incredible and probably could be a tour in themselves. It would have like to see inside some of the prominent buildings such as the library and dining hall. Thanks for an incredible experience.
