Negative experience: Went to get passport photos with my kids and husband. I got kicked out with my two boys 4 and 5 yo. We got there and waited like 15 mins standing there. The lady at the front desk that attended us was good and did her thing. My kids were not even loud as an yelling shouting etc. They were just talking and I told them to keep it down. Well like 25 minutes there while my husband getting attended with my baby to get the photos, this rude man from the auto section said please get out go wait outside. I got so mad but hold it in to myself and walked out with my kids. They were not loud. Kids are kids. My husband did say something. I didn't get his name but he was caucasian. They should have a sign that says no kids allowed. Just get your photos at cvs or walgreens. Never coming back here.

Negative experience: I no longer a member. The service has gone downhill. Have to wait hours to get towed. If you’re in an accident state troopers will not wait for AAA towing to slow. Poor service. Not worth the cost.

Fantastic experience: I discovered this service about several weeks ago and it's been great. I needed them several times and there hasn't been a disappointment, from the towing to the mechanical service. Thank you.

Negative experience: I transferred to the Tidewater AAA several months ago. I am still trying to get a hard copy of my membership card. I have had to go to the Hampton center to request one for the third time. Had to go to the center because getting someone to answer the phone is impossible. I keep getting told that the cards come from California so be patient. Really, three months is beyond patient. And yes, I have downloaded the magic app, but sometimes you need to show the card to get discounts. I am very disappointed in the Tidewater AAA service.

Negative experience: I’m not sure who just called me? I’m already a member and a background check was given to see if I qualify to purchase car insurance w you all? Worse call back ever!!!!!!

Negative experience: Worst tow experience ever. The driver was very rude. I guess he was having a bad morning. He was very short with me never got out of his truck. I asked him did want to tow my van so he got upset handed me my keys back and left me stranded. Still haven't heard back from AAA about this tow claim about there sub contractor Cole"s Towing.

Negative experience: I got my car towed there for a new alternator. The price was good, and the return time was good. I'm giving 2 stars only because I got a call from them saying a part was broken during servicing and that if I buy a replacement they'll replace it for me. Went to pick up my car only to find the invoice saying the part was broken PRIOR to servicing??? And that I have to pay for repairing the part that THEY BROKE?! That's wrong for covering for your technicians and not helping the customer.

Fantastic experience: Helpful staff! Especially, Candice, we contacted her because we needed an NP. A good friend advised us that AAA offers it to their members free (1st ten signatures are included, then there is a charge after that). I had a few questions regarding if the NP could also serve as a "witness," and she answered my questions professionally and advised how the process is handled as she sees many different types of documents. We recently relocated, and I realize the benefits of AAA now more than ever. They are a great resource, and until recently, I just used them to receive discounts. Though, I've been a member for well over 20+ years. I advise everyone to check what is included with their membership. I am sure you will be surprised about all the benefits.

Fantastic experience: Anywhere you go these days, be prepared to wait. Staff is low, and retailers are doing their best. This is true with AAA. The staff They Do have is extremely courteous, and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Phenomenal work I was in dire straits after being turned away at the Pep Boys on Mercury and I told them I was in a tough spot and they ran a full inspection and got me out as fast as possible. Killer dudes and great service I’ll definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: I had to get passport photos for myself and my daughter, who is under 2 years old. My daughter flipped her lid and had a huge meltdown, making it incredibly difficult to get a good picture. The women working were so helpful, nice, welcoming and friendly. They tried so hard to help her out of her funk to get pictures. It was really appreciated.

Negative experience: Don’t get repairs done here if you can. They quoted me thousands of dollars in repairs saying this needs to be done before they aligned my car.... Oh yeah also these parts struts old and will cost about $400 to replace. Parts were $50 at autozone. Took my car somewhere else and all the “necessary” Repairs were nonsense and they aligned my car for a fraction of the price. Mechanics at the second place laughed at the attempted scam.

Positive experience: Yeah customer service sux. I went there for tires and inspection. The lady that was supposedly helping me set up an appt for me at 11 am. She then told me everybody goes to lunch at 12 so if my truck wasn't done by 12 I would have to sit around for an hour until they came back. Cancelled order not going back except to get my deposit on tires

Negative experience: Short staffed in Hampton, never even a hello or welcome. You sign in and feel like you're at a bad DMV office instead of a great membership service center that AAA is known for. We had to leave after waiting over 20 minutes without any hi or I'll be with you soon, nothing at all as if we didn't exist. Before I left I let them know politely that a business should greet those who walk in, not look at them and say nothing at all.

Negative experience: 11:30 am call for tow. 11:35 get text truck dispatched will arrive 12:04. Driver calls 12:15 on his way. 12.35 text update 12:47 arrival. Not truck so AAA cancelled the call and made another dispatched truck. When I talked to the first driver he seemed confused and was slurring his words. To make a long story short oh yes there's muchote I'll say next year I'll look elsewhere for roadside assistance as they failed us miserably.

Negative experience: The AAA on Aberdeen Rd in Hampton, Va. had a man cutting their grass and he was blowing it ALL INTO THE STREET! This is dangerous for motorcycles. Tried calling and held in the line...they never picked up!

Fantastic experience: Had state inspection done there. Didn't need work to be completed to pass but specs were so close we did work since car was there. Final price was actually less than original estimate. The technician and Eric heard a noise after work was completed and diagnosed noise. Did a quick research and told us that it properly was covered by manufacturer. Brought car to the dealer and they were correct. Saved us a couple thousand dollars

Negative experience: Worst tow service ever, waited forever on my tow truck, was told over and over they were coming. Finally told sorry that dispatch was canceled, then told my plan doesn't help tow Van's, then told they just couldn't find a tow truck. I may still be sitting on the side of the road as you are reading this, unless I got smart enough to call another service.

Negative experience: Utterly useless towing and untrustworthy customer service. They send you an email stating the tow will be there at a specific time and it's confirmed by the driver. But they don't show for another hour. Then customer service denies the original time sent in their email. Use a local towing service.
