Negative experience: I went on July 11 and learned from the person at the reception desk that this branch of AAA closed about 6 months ago. He had no information about the location of another branch, but said to consult the website of AAA.

Negative experience: Place abandoned months ago

Negative experience: Poor customer service and support. Had to call off another phone just to talk with another rep that could resolve the issue the first rep started. Wait for a tow for 2 days and they had the nerve to over talk me multiple times about a simple issue they could of verified through there system. No called to follow up or see if we made it off the road. SMH are company and partners company will no be renewing any of our memberships.

Fantastic experience: Walked in to get a international drivers permit. They can take care of the photos so you don't have to worry about getting passport photos elsewhere. It took about just 10 minutes. Rhonda and Cori were so awesome! Easy!

Never questioned or said that it would be a hardship or industry standard to charge for any research for more than one destination. Has followed up and kept me informed every step of the way on everything. Gave me suggestions and answered any questions I had without any hesitancy. I highly recomend her!

Fantastic experience: Visited to get my international driver’s permit. Rhonda was lovely!! And took care of me in an 10 minutes. FYI for other travelers — due to supply chain issues, they’re short on paper and aren’t processing IDPs for folks who aren’t traveling within the month. They’ll ask you to return closer to your travel date. Just visit a week or two out from your trip to save yourself some time :)

Negative experience: Very bad customer service, I need a international driving license, something that takes 10 min to do it, and the lady working there was very rude, she start screaming at me that there are back order, and they don’t have them, to come other time. Very bad experience, PS if anyone wants to follow this, it happened on 06.09.22, at around 11am. Thanks

Recommended Previous from a few years ago: Got international driver's permit in less than 10 minutes (I already had passport photos). I am quite satisfied

Fantastic experience: I have been a member of AAA for many many years. I love the roadside assistance. You all always come through for me. Last night, I discovered my tire was flat while in Indiana. The truck arrived fast and I was home in no time. You all always come through for me. Thank you so much!!!

Positive experience: This review is for AAA in the Downtown Chicago area in general, I recently bought a membership with them for the first time and I was pleased to say they arrive on time and also have friendly and assisting drivers. The only issue I have with the company is that you don't receive additional calls with the upgrade of memberships doesn't serve you a big purpose since you are stuck with the same membership for 12 months. I recommend that they change that fine print to 3 months. Cars and people have various demands and needs. Also the first 5 miles of towing is free then every 6 miles after is $25.00 so.. you do the math.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, AAA Insurance dropped my auto insurance policy without any proper notification. They claim underwriting dropped my policy due to an error with an Illinois Drivers License Number, and due to their lack of communication I was unable to renew my insurance policy within the 30 days allowed by the state of Illinois. 4 months later I was contacted by a debt collector that I owed AAA $11 and upon calling was instructed that my policy was dropped due to an invalid Drivers License number. Upon reviewing my email correspondence with my agent, I confirmed that the Drivers License # submitted was indeed correct. Also, the $11 debt seemed concerning in the first place because I was paying for my insurance through my mortgage company so this was the first of any auto insurance notification I received. Despite admitting that there might have been an error, the AAA sales manager was unwilling to accept any emails or communication documents I had with their agent to prove that I supplied all the necessary information and that at no point did the agent indicate I was even in danger of having my policy dropped. I believe the lack of due diligence in September, and the lack of accountability for following up on their agent's communication is worrisome.
