Unlimited Vacation Club Timeshare: Reviews
Negative experience: From the moment you get to the Cabo airport the scam begins with being approached with discounts coupons for your resort and the promise of a bottle of Tequila. Once you are there they put you in a room and begin the high pressure sales. I have asked for a refund for this scam vacation company but they continue to steal my money monthly for a vacation service that provides nothing and you cannot use. Hopefully a class action lawsuit will be filed against this horrible organization and the way they take advantage of people on vacation with high pressure sales and steal their money

Negative experience: Misleading, Overpriced, and Unusable Membership – Buyer Beware We purchased a UVC membership in early 2024 after being promised exclusive discounts, flight credits, VIP nights, and premium service. In reality, none of these benefits are delivered as described: The flight credits are worthless — their “partner” charges inflated fares and has very limited airport options, so the $500 doesn’t even begin to offset the higher costs. Promised discounts don’t exist — public travel sites like Expedia or Booking.com often show the same or cheaper prices than UVC’s “member rates.” VIP nights and perks are nearly impossible to use due to blackout dates and restrictions. We even had to pay an extra fee for adjoining rooms on our first trip, something that should have been included or disclosed upfront. We spent $25,000+ in good faith and after months of trying to make the membership work, it’s clear this was misrepresentation and deceptive sales. When we complained, UVC offered no refund and only deflected, insisting the contract terms were clear. This program is predatory. I would strongly warn others not to fall into the same trap we did. We are now filing disputes and complaints with the FTC, CFPB, BBB, and PROFECO.

Negative experience: This UVC is a complete SCAM. BIG TIME SCAMMER.they told me something at breathless in Mexico. They convince me to purchase a certificate which will last a year and I can book anywhere as long as its before the year. When I got to Mexico food was shitty at DREAMS (One of their resort). The same people that sold me the certificate told me it wasn't one of their option. I went there with my daughter i ordered in room service at 7PM they brought the food at 1 AM. Missing my daughter order ans she was already asleep. The next morning the front desk for UNLIMITED VACATION CLUB called me a threatened me to pay 1000 dollars if I dont show up to their SCAMMING MEETING, I went there from 11 AM until 8PM all they gave us was 2 glasses of virgin mojitos. They convinced my husband to buy another membership for 5 YEARS For $6700 with $1200 deposit on site. They told you a bunch of Lies. Of course (SCAMMING) is their profession. I called for my transportation to the airport. Not only they didnt reply on time and they let the driver leaves.they told me to get my own transportation although the certificate said I will have free transportation. When I went back to the room I started making a scene which led to them ordering me a cab. So, I already started making payments although they told me I would get some benefits while I was seating at their table in their conference room in Mexico . Everything was a lie. I was supposed to go to DR, when I called they said I'm not qualify for the benefits that I have until I paid my balance off. On top of that the agent make me call RCI and book a shitty room for $224 plus I need to pay 40 Euro per person and a 10 dollar fee when I get to the hotel. RCI got their money, sent me an email to call UNLIMITED VACATION CLUB, when I called UVC they told me I have to pay an extra $329 additional meanwhile I have an account with them. Then I told the agent why? She said that's how it works sorry they didnt explained it that way to you. Mind you the hotel in Dominican Republic they book me "Acarium is a 2.5/5" and its $230 on Expedia. I went in and explain to her so for a shitty hotel I'm paying probably $750. Then she proceeded and said that wahy you sign up for. I wish I can share my recording with you guys. That's the first time I'm writing a long/nasty review on Google to WARN everyone about THESE SCAMMERS. They also talking about a price match and they want you to pay then send them a picture of the receipt to refund you the money later. That's another SCAM. Expedia/Hotel tonight/Priceline have the same room for 230 dollars but with UVC and RCI I'm paying 750 dollars. Make that make sense to me.She said she sorry there is nothing she can do about. BEWARE OF UNLIMITED VACATION CLUB. THEY ARE TRULY A FULL SCAMMING COMPANY AND THEY HAVE BEEN DOING IT FOR 14 YEARS. Whatever the information they give you in the conference room. Its TOTALLY DIFFERENT from when you call customer service. I just wish I can share my voice recording to you GUYS. PLEASE BE AWARE/CAREFUL AND VIGILANT THEY ARE SCAMMERS. BIG TIME SCAMMERS
Negative experience: Just don't do it. Don't event attend the meeting, it's not worth the perks the give

Negative experience: This is a SCAM!! This company has completely violated several components of the Federal Trade Commission Act1. Deceptive Sales Practices ? Misrepresenting the value, resale potential, or availability of a timeshare. ? Promising benefits (e.g., investment potential, exclusive access, rental income) that do not materialize. ? Pressuring consumers into purchases through high-pressure sales tactics or misrepresented "limited-time offers." 2. Failure to Disclose Material Terms ? Hiding or downplaying maintenance fees, special assessments, or ownership restrictions. ? Not informing buyers about difficulty exiting the contract or transfer restrictions. 3. Bogus Timeshare Exit or Resale Scams ? Companies that claim they can resell or cancel your timeshare for a fee, then fail to deliver any service. ? Often involves upfront fees with no legitimate results, violating Section 5 by misleading consumers. 4. Unauthorized Billing or Enrollment ? Charging consumers without clear authorization or enrolling them in services they did not agree to. ? Violates the FTC's standard of unfairness due to substantial consumer injury. ________________________________________ I am a Travel Agent, and I will be filing legal action.

Negative experience: Unlimited Vacation Club is a Total Scam Do not fall for the lies from Unlimited Vacation Club. When they sold me the certificate, they promised luxury hotel access, no blackout dates, and unbeatable vacation deals. That was all false advertising. I’ve been trying to book a trip for weeks now. Every time I call, I’m told that the hotels are “fully booked” and no matter what dates or destinations I choose. So much for “no blackout dates,” right? I’ve asked to speak with a supervisor, and every time I’m told someone will call me back. No one ever calls back. It’s just a runaround with zero accountability. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, and one of the most frustrating purchases I’ve ever made. They got my money, and now they don’t care. If you're thinking about signing up with Unlimited Vacation Club, don’t. It's nothing but broken promises and wasted time.

Negative experience: ***SCAM ALERT - ZERO STARS - SCAM ALERT*** DO NOT; I REPEAT; DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR PUSHY SALES TACTICS. YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY AND RECEIVE ZERO BENEFITS FROM THE "UNLIMITED VACATION CLUB". THE VACATIONS ARE VERY LIMITED, AND ARE PRICED MUCH HIGHER THAN BOOKING THEM ON YOUR OWN WITHOUT THE USE OF THEIR SERVICE. YOU WILL PAY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FOR NOTHING AND WILL BE UNABLE TO USE ANY OF THE BENEFITS THEY CLAIM COME WITH THEIR PACKAGES. I'M ALSO PLACING A NOTE ON THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU PAGE FOR THIS COMPANY

Negative experience: We purchased the Unlimited Vacation package at Breathless Punta Cana, where many benefits were promised. However, during our honeymoon at Dreams Karibana Cartagena Golf & Spa Resort, we discovered a significant discrepancy between what was promised and what we actually received—most notably, we were denied Preferred Club access, which had been a key selling point. Upon contacting the club, we were told we only received one certificate for access, not ongoing access as we were led to believe. This limitation was not clearly stated in the contract. A representative explained that the salesperson likely adjusted the package to fit our budget but failed to communicate the differences, which is the most disappointing part.

Negative experience: They will offer you unlimited alcoholic drinks and con you into signing contract that has no benefits. You are better trying to purchase your vacations via expedia. And it’s a lot cheaper. Unlimited vacation club should be ashamed of themselves

Negative experience: Beware of sales people. They present a very appealing deal, but when you read the contract carefully, you'll realize that they are empty promises. Everything is subject to availability and not guaranteed. Moreover, they try to represent themselves as linked to Hyatt, but they are a completely separate entity based out of the carribean. Luckily, we were able to get out of the contract due to the 5-day cancelation clause .
You are so lucky to have gotten out because so many of us were not! Please put on the BBB where they have an F rating.
Negative experience: Company absolutely impossible to deal with. They gladly take your membership money but never assist when there's an issue. Avoid this company at all costs!

Negative experience: 0 stars ~ PLEASE STAY AWAY ~ THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM They are worse than the people at the airport that you try to avoid being taken advantage of. The sales people lie about everything they are selling, please do not waste your time. Or get the free coupons or gifts, but keep your answer to NO!!! Tell them you got bad credit, so they can leave you alone. How dare you try to trick people and lie to them while they are on long awaited hard earned vacations. Shame on you for preying on innocent travelers visiting your country. Shame on you for waiting just to rob them and causing them grief and headaches from a vacation. We thought the Hyatt would have been more classy, this is totally unacceptable. This whole situation is horrible and disgusting and we will have nothing to do with it.

Negative experience: Pressure sale is not the only problem but more important is the deception . When we went to our first trip through UVC of course they wasted our time with the new upgrade , the agent approach was terrible he was trying to convince that the package I already bought is bad and if I don’t upgrade to a new package then the 5 K I already paid is worthless !!! You got the pointe !!

Negative experience: ZERO STARS, Don't get involved with these people! They add roadblocks instead of making vacation planning easier. The people who sold us this told us verbally that traveling with a large family would be no problem, but we are fighting to get 7 people into a shuttle so we don't have to split up our party. BEWARE of the cruise "money" that comes every year and don't assume you can use the entire amount, you need to book a huge suite to be able to use more than a tiny percentage. They call me multiple times a day to bug me about upgrading. I hope the people who are trying to put together a class action suit are successful.

Negative experience: This property is beautiful. However I was roped into a “promotion” where I left another Secrets location to take a tour of this one. My husband and I entered a large hot room, full of agents who were trying their hardest to get people to join the Unlimited Vacation Club. So we are assigned to Chris who escorted us to breakfast. While eating he began digging on our backstory of how much we travel, what we do a for a living etc. After 30 minutes of him rambling on about nonsense I finally asked the cost of the membership. Of course he did not give me a clear answer and hurried to show me and husband a luxurious room on the top floor and the pool area. Again rambling on and on about how we can save money and our families could use the benefits to travel. Finally after 2 hours we were then escorted back to the main room full of agents. Chris then proceeds to tell us this package cost 100,000 USD. That would be financed over the course of 5 years. All I could do was laugh and of course my husband and I declined. So he calls over his supervisor Bobby to try to give a lower costing deal. We decline. Then a female agent comes over and offers an even lower costing deal, we decline again because at this point they are being very pushy. Chris then also becomes a bit aggressive saying we’re waisting money and at point he says “ your parents are not going to buy every vacation for you.” After telling him we were not interested whatsoever, an older gentleman came over who was supposed to ask quality assurance questions. This gentleman then proceeded to flip the survey over to the back side and tries to offer ANOTHER lower costing package. We once again declined. The whole tour was waste of time. These people clearly work on commission and they were desperate to have us sign up. I guarantee no one in this company makes enough to spend 100k on a membership. BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!

Positive experience: Hi ALL, This is the hitchhikers guide to getting the best deal from UVC! A lot of reviews on here are trashing UVC because people were not properly informed on what they were buying and how to get the best of their membership. Yes! They are lying to you and they are con artists. It’s their job to sell you their product but they can be defeated. Here’s How.. If you’re thinking about purchasing a UVC membership here are some helpful hints to get you the best possible package for your money. 1. Always! Be willing to walk away. They need to know that you will seriously walk away even after negotiating for two hours if the deal is not exactly to your liking. They say you can’t, but you can always come back the next day or the next trip and purchase your membership. You have to be able to walk out the door. 2. Never! Accept their first offer. They are going to show you a list of tiers of memberships and what is included with those membership levels. Everything is negotiable. Whatever they are offering to give you, double it! Whatever it costs, make them cut the price almost in half. That’s just the starting point. 3. Know what you’re buying! Is this a timeshare or just a discount rate? It’s kind of Both. Your Membership will come with a lot of extras. Some of which you may not even know of because they overwhelm you with so much information. Your UVC membership is actually only a guaranteed 25% off of their Hyatt all inclusive hotel brands, 1 guaranteed room level upgrade at check in and a Hyatt points account. Did you know it also comes with an RCI weeks account. It can also include a UVC Lifestyle account and if you negotiate high enough, you can get into their Registry Collection, which is basically just RCI for rich people. Higher end units that are rarely available. 4. The fun begins! The goal here is to get the most for your money. You should be able to purchase the lowest level membership and walk out the door with “almost” platinum level membership benefits. If you travel a lot and want to start at a platinum level membership, you should walk out with almost EVERY benefit on that tier sheet. That means even the lowest tier member should negotiate to get 0% interest, guaranteed preferred rooms even when you book the most basic room, more trading power on your RCI weeks account, more premier nights and VIP weeks than what they initially offer, a BOATLOAD of Hyatt points and make sure you get some leisure cash to spend at your current vacation for the time you used to negotiate this deal, we got $500 pretty easily which covered an extra night stay. These benefits should at least equal your downpayment or more. 5. Abuse the System! Trading Power is your time share value so get the highest number you can! 21 is acceptable for lesser expensive membership levels and 36 for platinum members and above can easily be achieved. RCI will match, so 21 is actually 42 and 36/72. What this does is when you deposit your UVC week for “time share” exchange, you can then use RCI to book some sweet Vacation Condo Units anywhere in the world for up to an entire week at a fraction of the cost of Expedia or Priceline. Each RCI unit has a different trading power number and you can use your leftover trading power to book another week vacation. I took my entire Latino family, rented 7 separate 3 bedroom units for 7 nights each in Orlando. Each unit averaged out to be about $325, where a one night stay was $325 on Expedia for the exact room. Saved over $12,500 on that trip alone. 6. Hyatt wants you to Buy and these salesman are allowed to give away the farm at signing so get as much as you can. Get your Hyatt membership level guaranteed at explorist for a couple years. Get at least 75,000 points to use on free Hyatt hotel rooms. Get your RCI and UVC membership fees waived up to 3 years. These all add up to BIG savings and you can learn how to save even more on All Inclusive stays by purchasing trips at certain times of the year or discounted trading power. Hope this helps!
They will lie to your face for your money because I was one of the victims
Negative experience: We signed up for the Platinum Unlimited Vacation Club plan (it wasn't cheap). We were supposed to receive several "free nights"; however, we can't even use the "free nights" at some resorts because they don't offer the lower category room. When we booked at the Columbia Dreams Resort, UVC quoted us a price for one additional person that would not be using "free nights" so we booked our flights only to be informed days later that the price was more than DOUBLE what we were originally quoted. I will make it my life's mission to ensure no one else falls victim to this scam.
I have also made it my life's mission to take down this company after fraudulent info was given to me also. Please report to the BBB where they have a F rating
Negative experience: THEY ARE CON PEOPLE!!! We will never travel with them again. The customer service at Unlimited is terrible and not willing to help. We booked another vacation while on honeymoon with them and was told we had 2 years to use it. When calling up they told us it expired 6 days ago and can’t help us. Being said it was only a 1 year 6 days when we purchased not 2 years which we were told. So they just took our money and are unwilling to help. We will never use Unlimited ever again. I advise my fellow vacationers to go SANDALS over Secrets and Dreams / any Unlimited vacation package.. Sandals was a much better experience, better food, and definitely better customer service. After 2 vacations and over 10k spent and an attempt to spend another 3-4K you guys declined because of a 6 day expiration date that we was told different. Well done.

Positive experience: To be clear, this is a discount all-inclusive vacation club that requires a substantial fee (memebership levels vary) to enjoy future discounted resort stays. They do throw in some free nights to entice you to join. UVC claims that future resort stays are discounted 25% from the market rate, but this isn't always the case. To ensure you truly get the full discount,. You have to don your homework by checking Priceline, Expedia, etc and submit a screenshot, if your booked rate isn't 25% less than the cheapest market rate. So, the forced comparison shopping, to make sure you are getting the full discount is work I'd rather not do. I think they should make sure their membership rates reflect 25% ofd the current market rates!
please report everything to the BBB
Negative experience: My Dad got sucked into a very expensive program that has very little benefit. He passed away soon after. Even though we have the gold level membership, and they do give all family members the right to book, it has not really been worthwhile and it’s still cheaper to book a package of flight and hotel together. That said there are some people who will be able to make this work beneficially for them, for example if you live on the island or have super cheap flights from where you are. But there’s a reason it’s a business, it’s because most people don’t make enough use of the purported benefits and the vacation club pockets the money.
Please report this to the BBB where they have a F rating.
Positive experience: We have had UVC for the past 7 years. We've gotten everything we were promised and even though it was expensive, we have went on trips either free or at a ridiculously low cost compared to anything online. Plus, it can be used around the world (we are Platinum members). Since purchased by Hyatt, we have other perks, but have yet to check them out. The only reason I give it 4 starts instead of five is because I get tired of going to those seminars for free spas when I go on the resort. We've learned to deal with the short seminars and how they attempt to get us to be diamond members, but we're fine...and most of the salesmen get it an leave us alone...it's just that it is an unnecessary 3 hours of our trip. Overall, if you have the money, read the contract, and actually use it, it isn't a ripoff, although the price of membership has risen exponentially since we purchased. Now I'm glad we purchased when we did.
This is definitely not what most of us have experienced with this company. The majority of us have been lied to and lost a lot of money.
Negative experience: Ahh UVC, completely predatory company which turns your vacation into a headache by dangling a carrot at the end of the stick. If it seems to good to be true, then go with your instincts and dont cave in. The amount of time and money spend on their packages and membership are not worth the headache nor the quality you get out of it. if you want to cancel anything, be ready to go through an endless loop of run arounds.

Negative experience: I was recently at dreams Flora resort in April 2024, immediately when you arrive you are attacked by representatives from ultimate vacation club. They grab you with promises of upgrading your stay to preferred if you listen to there pitch. As they pitch you all the things they offer they also say if you book and change your mind you have a week to cancel. We did end up booking and decided we wouldn't use it as advertised so we decided to cancel. This is were the nightmare really begins, they pass you from rep to rep and quality control officer to quality control officer just for them to say contact dreams Floa directly. I continue and continue to call daily no one ever responds. So then you have to go down the process of canceling your credit card, and leaving a review like this. I enjoyed my time at resort while I was there but it's really been soured by unlimited vacation club having horrible customer service. Please beware of them when you go!

Positive experience: I am with UVC for bit over 6 years now. Am I 100% happy with it? No. Is it a scam? No, it is not. I did not have problems claiming any of free items promised during signing the contract. On couple of trips, we were upgraded to VERY nice rooms. Ocean front and such. On one occasion, new resort did not open on time. So we were given option to travel to different resort in the area + got 2 certificates for free stay when new resort finally opened. So pretty much free vacation. Now, does the price of membership can be ever recovered? Even with 25% discount on all stays, we would have to travel 10 times a year to get the money we paid back. But it was clear to us from the very beginning, so I do not have any regrets about that. Now, couple of things I do not like about UVC. While purchasing our membership we chose "no preferred club" option. We were told that if we ever want to upgrade specific stay, it is possible and costs $20-30 a night. It turned out to be misleading. Because reservation of preferred rooms is not allowed with my level of membership and upgrade at the resort costs a lot more than $20-30 a night. Next, every time we stay at the resort we are pushed to attend "the update meeting". It is promised to take an hour, but usually it takes half of our vacation day. And it is pretty aggressive sales pitch. So if someone cannot take the pressure, just say no, before going. I am not sure why they could not make regular info / update meeting without that desperate sales attempt. I am pretty sure some people would sign up for upgrades. Pricing of the the packages and stays at resorts. We paid for our membership less than $10k and like I said - will never recover the money. We just do not travel enough. During one of "updates" we were offered $70k package. Really, who somewhat reasonable would spend money like that for vacation club?!?! That is when things starts to feel like it is some greed race. Also, introducing "super luxury" resorts with room prices costing several thousand dollars gives me the same vibe. If they keep pushing those ultra luxury places, all other resorts will feel like low quality ones. Not a smart strategy in my opinion. We would never pay 10 times more to be in any of those. At the end of the day, sea, beach and food are pretty much same regardless, where you stay. And here is the final disadvantage of the membership. Everyone who paid a lot of $$ for it, will try to recoup the money. Means, booking only within UVC resorts (Secrets, Dreams, Zoetry, couple of others + now Hyatt brand). It means, traveling to the same places. Staying in similar resorts. Eating similar food. I like to try something new on occasion, and in order to do so, we book different resorts for full price. UVC membership limits the choices (unless you choose to pay full price with non-UVC resort). So, whoever screams that it is scam, probably overpaid and regrets the purchase. But for those who pay, what they can afford and are willing to spend for vacation club, UVC for most part meets my expectations.
you must work for them because most of us have gotten really taken by this company
Negative experience: BUYER BEWARE! UVC is a huge, global scam. They'll use dishonest and scam practices to take as much money from you as possible. Do not visit any of their resorts. Do not give them anything. So many people fall victim to their fraudulent business and it's disgraceful.

Positive experience: My best friend and myself are co-owners of the Unlimited Vacation Club and Lifestyles Collection. After our first year of being members we wanted to share some of our concerns and dissatisfaction with the program. Many are similar to the rest of the reviews above. While planning our first trip to London with our “Travel Butler” , we were promised a conceirge experience with personalized consideration of hotel, flights, and excursion options. During our visit, he even offered to get dinner with us and his wife at his friend’s 5-Star Restaurant. As our trip got closer, we were told that his peer would be helping handle our account as he was on vacation for a few days. I reached out to via multiple calls and emails, all of which went ignored. When we were finally able to get ahold of her after TWO WEEKS for booking, we were given only two flight options in Coach and rushed to book. She also assured me over the phone that our checked bag was completely covered with the ticket price and we instead had TO PAY $75. We basically had to do all of the research and booking of our hotel and sightseeing/tours ourselves. This was NOT the “conceirge service” we were promised and pay well for. A large part of purchasing the vacation club in the first place was the assurance that this would be done for us(“Full Service Planning”& “Best Value Guarantee”). For this supposed service, we spent hours doing our own research and trying to figure out the best deals. Despite these frustrations in booking our first trip, we decided to explore more of the touted benefits of the UVC- cruises. After simply browsing online at what some potential options looked like and what prices would be, this set off a barrage of phone calls. Literally EVERY DAY we were contacted by a different member of UVC claiming to be our “cruise concierge” looking to help us book our trip. After dodging the myriad of phone calls they eventually stopped. After London, we were contacted by yet ANOTHER “travel butler” who said he would be taking over our account. My friend and I were again berated with calls at least once a day while we were at work. She is a busy NYC Physician Assistant and I work in Hospitality. On top of being dismissive on the phone and repeatedly calling my friend the wrong name, he tried to hard-sell us ANOTHER monthly fee saying we would, “be forced to upgrade”. As someone who has worked in Hospitality in NYC myself for over twelve years, I must say this run-around is not good business practice nor is it what we were promised.

Negative experience: The absolute worst customer service of any travel company I’ve worked with. I’m not a member (thank god!), but traveled with a member and my reservation was linked to their account. 6 months later, there are still billing issues and they locked the member’s account because of their own internal accounting problems. Countless hours were spent on the phone with foreign customer service reps. It was unreal. Run away!

Filed BBB report, will be filing a UDAAP (Unfair, Deceptive and Abusive Practices) complaint with the CFPB, and with the Florida Attorney General’s Office of Consumer Affairs.
Please let me know what happens because I lost five thousand dollars with this horrible company.

Fantastic experience: Booked another vacation with no problems!
Can you explain why they have a F rating on the BBB and why all these people are saying they were scammed
Negative experience: This company is a total scam, nothing in their contract meet up to what was promised, I spent more then expected and the upgraded room are still basic. All lies this is a total scam. The resorts that were listed on the contract does not honor anything in contract with unlimited vacation club. These properties have their own rules. Do not waste your money or time. Please report if your not satisfied with them on BBB
Please leave a review on the BBB where this company has a F rating
Negative experience: I have been a member for almost 5 years and we loved it. Now that Hyatt took over it is not going well. We upgraded a month ago and were promised specific things in our contract. Now one month later after we paid they have taken away the only benifit we upgraded for. Do not join this club, it is going downhill fast!
It has never been legit from the start. When we join they misrepresented themselves as personal vacation club for Secrets in Jamaica where we went serval times. This was a total lie and we left with a handwritten contract that never said Unlimited Vacation Club. They are a scam totally and the BBB has rated them with an F. Please leave a review on the BBB
Negative experience: Achtung, reine Abzocker!
please report this to the BBB
Negative experience: They practice being the devil. They are totally evil people. Scammers!!! They teach their employees to be evil. I was scammed I paid $14K for nothing. George Jerez is the the devil.
Please put a review on the BBB and site jabber
Negative experience: These people are scammers! Do not sign any contracts with them

Fantastic experience: This is NOT a timeshare, if you think it is, you don't understand what a time share even is. This is a vacation discount. You pay x amount of dollars based on the package you buy. With every package you get 25% off the rooms as well as upgrades and free/reduced week rate packages. If you READ your contract when you sign it, you will ensure you get what you were told. Just like buying a car, the contract states the terms. We are going on year 5, going to Secrets Tides which just opened using one of our "free" weeks, current room rate is $5,000. Yes, you pay at the beginning for the package, but with 40 years of savings, as long as you vacation it is worth it. We've saved over half of what we have paid for the package, in another 5 years the savings we have made with zero out the package price. Then for the next 30 years we will save 10's of thousands of dollars.
When I first signed up I was told that this was a sole program for Secrets in Jamaica and I just got 2 free weeks at Secrets. When I tried to get these weeks I was told my contract did not cover going to Jamaica only the Dominican and Mexico
Negative experience: PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS MEMBERSHIP! IT´¨S A SCAM. I WILL MAKE AN UPDATE LATER ON. they will promise you a lot just to sign up the contract. however, when you want to take those vacation they wil. tell you there is not avabilty to reserve try later.. months later. my daughter who was the beneficiary was calling like crazy however, they told them the owner of the account can only reserve ... they will give you points enough. however at the end you need to pay to exchange those points into money. well the lady who was talking to my daughter said the points were NOT sufficient to reserve a hotel that it will be cheaper paying with money than with points and there is no available days to reserve. please do not trust this company! they will promise youa whole world!!!!! PLEASE AT LEAST READ THE COMMENTS BELOW. i wish i had read it when i was being pushed with my family to sign up
I started this review when I was scammed by them so please put a report on the BBB also
Fantastic experience: Really good service, easy to deal with!
Wish I could say the same thing instead of all the out right lies I was given by this company that has a f rating on BBB
Negative experience: We went to Dream Jade Vacation in Mexico and was sold a time share, which the sales associates said we were entitled to many many things and we were entitled to so many benefits in our vacation plan. A week later we find out everything they said was actually false advertisements, misleading and complete lies. Now we are fighting to get our money back and terminate our contract! Please be careful and stay away! They are con artist! I would of not even given any stars but this was the only way to warn others.
You will not get your money back and do not let them talk you into anything else. I was taken also and every summer this happens to people outside of the US
Negative experience: The worst investment that we have ever made! This deal is a total scam and we are so disappointed in they way they treat us when we try to use what we paid for. Always the bait and switch when you book a room. Stay away!
Negative experience: Just another lie and scam! This is not worth a penny to invest in!! The bottom line is we paid over $10,000 for 2 trips. And then $150.00 to $170.00 fees each year for 10 years. The fees price goes up and up every year! It's better to go with vrbo or airbnb, than waste your time and money on this farce! I can't wait to end this contract and never, ever sign up again! Stay away from UVC!!

Negative experience: DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM. My partner and I were pushed into buying this. They told us we could get refund if we changed our mind. The next day we changed our mind and cancelled. They told us “no problem! You’ll have it back on your credit card in 72 hours.” Two weeks later and NOTHING. We called and they said there was no refunds and called us liars for saying that someone promised it to us. The manager on the phone was incredibly rude and patronized us many times. It was at that moment we realized they were crooks and we decided to count our losses and just use what we purchased. When we tried to book a week away with them we were told that EVERYTHING THEY PROMISED WAS ACTUALLY NOT PART OF WHAT WE PURCHASED. They said we’d get a free week at any of their facilities during specific times. That was a LIE as it’s only at North American resorts. They said we’d get 25% off at any Hyatt owned hotel. This was important to me as I frequent nyc and los angeles for work and having a discount at a hotel would have been great but NOPE. We only get 25% off at a secrets. There’s a bunch of other things they lied about too but I’m just going to say that you should STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM.
Please report this to the BBB where they have a F rating
Negative experience: Can't say enough bad things about these terrible scammers. Even the "fancy" property they showed us, was dirty and had terrible food. More importantly, though - they are scammers. Expect all types of fraudulent charges, if they gain access to your credit cards. They don't even deserve 1 star
please also report on BBB
Negative experience: Scammers who sells you dream and hope. They were very pushy during the pitch and would say anything that you want to hear to make you sign up with them. Contract states that you can cancel anytime and that you are entitled for refund but they didn't disclose the correct cancellation policy terms when we signed up. Now all they're saying is 'we'll contact you, sorry for the inconvenience', yet they want us to keep paying - bills keep coming. We will be seeking legal actions for this matter if they don't resolve it soon. STAY AWAY. Regards, MK

Negative experience: Like others, we were also scammed. They reduced the price during sales meeting without ever explaining how our options became more and more limited, except that major holidays etc. would not be available to us. They never explained that children above 12 were considered adults and could not share the units with us or that the free stays were limited to two (2) people only. At a "refresher sales meeting, at another resort, we told the salespeople there what we were told and how we cheated at our initial sign-up. They looked sad and admitted, "so those salespeople lied to you" and then continued to claim, "but we will not lie to you." Covid has exacerbated the entire fiasco and I won't blame them for that BUT they lied, cheated and the continuous further sales tactics and pressure, incl. from the timeshare swap company (forgot their name) and whatever that third other company is called were incessant and caused me major stress. We're down to only Unlimited Vacation but our daughter is 12. More than US$15,000 down the drain, wasted. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!
Please also go to The BBB and put a review. They are already rated F but if enough complaints come in then maybe the FBI or some other organization will look into them
Positive experience: Waited 1 hr because there was only one person on site working. Poor management and operations.
Negative experience: These ppl are scammers! My wife and I got fraudulently pushed into signing a contract with them while we were on a vacation in Cancun. They told us we can just sign up right now and think about it later and we can cancel anytime with no penalties as long as we didn't use their membership benifits. After our vacation ended we decided we want to cancel and they told us we have to pay 7k dollars to terminate contract and that we signed on it. The sales team lied to us about the cancelation policy terms just to get us to sign. They were just telling us what we want to hear. They didn't disclose the correct cancelation policy details while signing, and of course we didn't read it word for word until after our vacation ended. We need our down payment refunded and this fraudulent contract to be terminated. If the UVC didn't resolve this I will be seeking legal action.
Put complain on Better Business also, this is an American company and they are scamming people out of the country. I am hoping the FBI will get involved at some point. Go to as many platforms on the internet as you can.
Negative experience: SCAM Don't waste your money. Bought this with friends and they won't even allow me to access anything without her calling, despite the fact that they took my social and all my personal information and let me sign the contract! You also can only book over the phone if you actually want to get a discount. Their websites are more expensive than the deals found on a general google search.

Negative experience: Ladrones de guante blanco, ya no se que hacer para zafar de ellos, me robaron U$s 10000 dolares . Puse 1 estrella porque si no no puedo publicar pero si pudiera pone 5 negativas lo haria.
They are an American company based out of Florida so go to the Better Business Bureau and complain. Nothing will happen but if enough complaints come in the FBI might start looking into them
Negative experience: I'm only giving one star because I cannot give less. This company promises you the world, until it's time to fulfill it. Then there's a problem. Every since I signed up, it's been one lie after another and one problem after another. It's to the point to where I've tried contacting them to work something out, but they refuse to make things right, so I'm in the process of litigation. I contacted my attorney and he is in the process currently of contacting the US Embassy. Please, everyone stay away from this company.
Please put this on the BBB also where they have a F rating
Negative experience: I am a member. I have a platinum membership. I still had 7 free nights as part of the agreement of purchase. Due to Covid I was not able to travel, like all of us. I finally was able to book for Januar to Mexico. Tragically there was a diagnosis of advanced cancer and need for treatment. I provided as requested a letter from the oncologist and I received callous insensitive customer care response. I was not provided with proper accommodation. I have pleaded and yet there was no response that was adequate for a six months treatment for cancer. I would suggest to any person who is doing due diligence in joining as a member of unlimited vacation to stay away. Do no do what I did of quickly agreeing to membership without proper due diligence. You will thank me for it. They have terrible customer services.
Negative experience: Unlimited vacation club is absolute trash. They just keep pushing sales and pushing more and more. And you can't cancel either. Cheaper to get a lawyer and file a lawsuit against them.
Negative experience: We had Premier Nights that supposedly experienced - but of course the sales person told us that they last the 20+ years of the contract. Due to the global COVID pandemic some remaining nights expired but I had no idea that they were set to expire. I tried to get them restored and found that UVC was completely insensitive to the realities and complications of international travel. Hmm… wasn’t the border closed? Weren’t people dying? Spoke with UVC Supervisor Carlos Galue and he asked me to send documentation of COVID … isn’t that a violation of HIPPA laws? I find UVC to be unethical in business practices and completely tone deaf to the realities we are living in… I simply wanted to have what I fully paid for ($30,000) and some grace and understanding of the past 18 months. This may be the only company and customer service I encountered who has been so rigid and out of touch. That speaks volume to their culture and the value they place on customers. When asked to speak to someone above Carlos he told that he was the ONLY person that I could speak to! Is Carlos the King?
Negative experience: Was excited about joining this club. Benefits and perks seem great. However, only able to take advantage of residing for extended periods of time. The way they pitch this to you is for over 6 hours, with just shy of kidnapping. A joke of course. It is a long showing/sales pitch. My recommendation? Stay away. Next is they use deceptive practices to engage and have you sign. Contract states you can cancel and are entitled to a refund, however it is impossible to cancel. I have emailed (for proof) demanding cancelation and to no avail. I keep getting calls regarding bills/explanation of contract, but no cancelation of contract. I don't want a "we will contact you, sorry for the inconvenience, etc." I want a cancellation, it is not that hard. (Contract has been read in its entirety).
please put this on the BBB where they have a F rating
Negative experience: Short and straight to the point: SCAM
Fantastic experience: Great experience and a great team! Worth every penny
Negative experience: It is a nightmare to have a contract with this company, I should go to look up to the online reviews before, just terrible experience.
Negative experience: If I could give UVC a -5 stars I would. The "choices" membership is a scam, and they know it. We bought it to try before we bought something bigger, and not only is the membership unusable for us despite endless promises, the representatives onsite at two separate resorts (Maroma, Akumal) acknowledged that the membership could not be used for the way we travel. UVC could absolutely care less. We stayed at Maroma and Akumal this year, and were not able to use the membership for either stay. UVC's answer? I summarize, "Sucks to be you." Avoid them..be happy. Great resorts - terrible vacation club experience.
Negative experience: If I could give a negative star I would. attended a presentation in Cazumel- was fed lies and after a few months of never using the service once they want 50% of the total to cancel. I was blantantly lied to and it cost me 5 grand. UVC You are the epitome of scumlords and hope you get taken down in a lawsuit. your BBB rating is a F and your company is a joke.
Negative experience: terríveis estelionatários que utilizam do contrato para prejudicar seus clientes, se esta insatisfeito abra uma disputa com seu cartão de crédito, certamente sairá vencedor!
Negative experience: Really disappointed. You send thousands of dollars for the promise of discount and benefits above regular travelers. First: you have to do due diligence to make sure that you are getting one, two if the hotel you are going to is doing a promotion on something you are not elligable. Not right. The stuff at hotel takes forever to get back to you unless they want you to come to another presentation to sell to something.
Negative experience: This company is a Timeshare company that will do and say anything to get you to sign a contract . Do not purchase anything from these scam artists. Their arbitration is even worse than their so called “quality control”. They accuse you of lying and then grandstand and talk over you . Of course they feel untouchable because their office you have to deal with is in Cancun. Here is an update and a way to get legally get out of your contract. We purchased this on our credit card and tried cancelling the next morning and we were told you cannot which was the first direct lie among the many more lies to come over the next 5 months from Unlimited Vacation Club. We called our bank a week later when we got home and told them what happened. You have 10 days to cancel the contract legally and our bank then stopped the payment until they settled the dispute many months later because this was around Thanksgiving/Christmas. We had to keep pushing our bank and the squeaky wheel gets the oil. Bank of America finally resolved the dispute in March after it was started November 8th . At that time we contacted Unlimited and told them to send a a letter saying that our contract was absolved and they for the first acted like a professional company because of course they had no legs to stand on anymore. AVOID THESE CRIMINALS AT ALL COSTS
Negative experience: UVC is a sexist company!! My Husband and I traveled to the Secrets The Vine in Cancun and Secrets Maroma Beach for our honeymoon and were impressed with the Vine resort. We received and voucher for a 2 night 3 day certificate, however they will not honour it because it was not activated in time. Sure, no problem, I should have been more on top of it and activated it on time. This really is not the issue that I have with them. I called them to see if there was anything that they could offer so the woman on the phone offered a price of $2268 for 5 nights at a Ultra Luxury AM resort...she asked how old we were so I told her I am 33 and my husband is 29, turning 30 in December. She said that she can bring the price down to $1768 if we travel after his birthday because he will be 30. I told her, but I am over 30...her exact quote was "I'm sorry mam but we only go by the MAN"...you can imagine my shock... I told her that that is sexist and she said, "I'm sorry but that is the way it is". I WILL NEVER TRAVEL TO AN AM RESORT EVER AGAIN!!! Absolutely unacceptable!!!
Negative experience: Everything about this vacation club or timeshare is wrong. They sell you dreams and lies. Please be very very careful before you go ahead with the contract. Don't sign anything unless you have clear information and you understand the reality of the benefits. BE CAREFUL!!! They will try to make you sign the contract and become a member right on the spot, they will tell you there no other way to become a member...that's a lie, you can become a member online too. It's very simple don't make a rush decision, go online and read all the reviews before you make a decision.
Negative experience: Do not trust
Negative experience: DO NOT GET AN UNLIMITED VACATION CLUB MEMBERSHIP, THEY ARE HORRIBLE. Just look at the better business bureau. Their ratings are negative all the way through. I purchased the "cheapest option. Which was arou d $2000. They gave me a week "free" with no expiration date. Come to find out a year and a half later when I go to book my week, they expired and they refused to give me the week that I was entitled to. Therefore i spent $2000 on nothing. Not worth the money for any time share. Save your time and money!!
Fantastic experience: I have been going through a rough time personally; not really able to focus on taking vacations. In the interim my VIPs had expired; called in literally 5 days after. Was fortunate enough to be helped by a very nice young man by the name of Christian; he went to bat for me with the supervisors and wouldn't you know it, he got me an extension on my VIP weeks as a 1 time courtesy. They could have been all business; could have let me live with the fact that I screwed myself out of three weeks vacation; but they didn't and I am appreciative.
Fantastic experience: I have been a part of the UVC for about 3 years now and rarely ever complain about it. The resorts are absolutely to die for and what is even better is the customer service. I have had one particular rep that was super patient with me and handled all of my questions. I tend to ask a good amount of questions and Kassandra was very thorough with all of the answers. Definitely a great experience.
