Fantastic experience: 100/10. Heather was truly wonderful to work with. I reached out way before I needed to and was unsure what I actually wanted and overall a little manic with everything but Heather answered all of my questions thoroughly and planned the trip of a lifetime. The process was seamless from beginning to end and Heather always made sure to reiterate that we could reach out to her if needed for anything. I cannot put into words how beautiful our trip was, we went to Germany and Switzerland for two weeks and wanted to be in places that were convenient for walking and public transportation and she made sure to get us in the best spots for both. Fantastic experience: We just returned from our two and a half week honeymoon in northern Italy, Switzerland, and Germany. It was an absolute dream thanks entirely to Heather! With wedding planning and everything else, it was such a relief to just give a budget and destinations and have Heather plan everything. It would not have been a tenth of a trip without her expertise and guidance. Every hotel was so perfectly located in every city, the trains and travel were planned so expertly, with private transports only when needed. We had told her from the beginning that we were confident with navigating public transport and didn’t want too rigorous of a schedule and to wander and explore at our pleasure which we did. However, the few planned events by her were absolutely amazing, the highlight being a wonderful dinner cruise on lake Lucerne in Switzerland. We feel like we have lived and experienced a full year in these few weeks, had the absolute time of our lives, and started off our marriage in the best way possible. Thank you Heather and team! You will make traveling without an agent nearly impossible in the future!

Fantastic experience: Pam Cheek with Globe Getaways was so helpful when planning our Alaskan cruise. I had never been on a cruise before and didn't know what to expect. I needed someone to answer any questions I had, while also allowing me to do most of the research and planning myself, like I'm used to doing. Pam, with all of her experience with Princess Cruises and Alaska found me the perfect room and gave me all of the information that I needed to have a fantastic vacation. Definitely recommend!

Positive experience: Heather is a wonderful travel agent and got us what we requested! She was very accommodating to our changing schedules and was able to update any itinerary changes almost immediately. She gets things done quickly and with no complaints! Great person to go through if you value communication and understanding.

Fantastic experience: To say that Heather Travis is an exceptional travel agent and a wonderful person is an understatement. We just got back from 2 weeks in Italy and the experience exceeded all of our expectations. She planned every detail to perfection. The transfers were always on time or a little early. On several legs of the trip, we had to take boats and trains etc. In every case the person handling the transfer practically held our hand until we were in line to board the boat or train. At the end of our trip our flight from Rome was cancelled. We called Heather in a panic late on a Saturday night. She got us rebooked in the same cabin on a later flight. I think she stayed up past 11 pm Denver time to make sure that we were totally taken care of for our flight home. If you want a turnkey worry-free vacation call Heather at Globe Getaways, she is the best!!

Fantastic experience: Well, I don’t hand out praise often, but Globe Getaways truly earned it this time. I’m not one for all this fancy travel nonsense, but they managed to get me to Brazil safe and sound—without a single headache. That’s no small feat. The whole process was smoother than I expected, and believe me, I was waiting for something to go wrong. But no, every flight was on time, the connections were clear as day, and even the hotel they booked didn’t give me anything to grumble about. It’s rare I say this, but they did a damn fine job. If you want your trip handled right, with no nonsense and no surprises, Globe Getaways is the way to go. Five stars… and I don’t give those out lightly.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience booking with Globe Getaways! This is a very delayed review, I don’t know where the time has gone. Heather from Globe Getaways planned our two week trip to Spain. She was very communicative, easy to work with and knowledgeable. I was super hesitant as I had never used a travel agency but after such an amazing experience I cannot wait for Heather to plan my next trip! Highly recommend this company for your travel needs.

Fantastic experience: Heather did a wonderful job setting up our trip, helping us pick where to go, stay and excursions. We’d recommend Globe Getaway and would use them again! The trip was fantastic! The weather was perfect, in the 70s every day. Everyone was friendly and the food was fantastic. All of our transportation was on time and friendly. Athens is interesting, the Plaka was cool, walking around town and seeing all the history, wonderful! Acropolis was still very busy with people, can’t imagine what it would be like during the busy season. Mykonos was ideal for our taste this time of year. The beaches were basically empty. Some of the restaurants didn’t have their full menu as they were prepping for closing down for the season. We added a catamaran cruise around Mykonos through the hotel and it was wonderful. Highly recommend the Petino Beach Hotel we stayed at. The Delos Tour was incredible. For anyone who enjoys history, Greece is hard to beat. Santorini was beautiful, the sunset cruise was top notch. They still had more tourists than Mykonos did, but not an issue. I think the difference was the amount of cruise ships and that on Mykonos we were opposite side of the island from the main town. The winery tour was amazing, other guests of the tour had cancelled so we had a private winery tour. Just us and the guide! Again, our accommodations at Mill house were good, the views could not be beat. It was fun exploring the towns and islands and would highly recommend Greece. Thank you for all for your help in planning/organizing our trip!

Fantastic experience: Globe Getaways is awesome! We started the process of doing a European cruise with Pam back in 2022. Since this was our first time going to Europe, we just started throwing out ideas. In 2023, we got serious and Heather guided us all the way to our first river cruise, the Danube River - Budapest to Munich, which we completed in Sep 2024. Heather was able to tailor our trip to include additional days in Budapest and Munich. Her experience, expertise and patience resulted in a great first trip to Europe and everlasting memories. She covered details such as flights, drivers to and from airports and tours during our city stays. In fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much, we just scheduled a Christmas Cruise, sailing in December 2026 on the Rhine River!

Fantastic experience: I went to Istanbul with two friends, and Heather was such a great help in getting plane tickets and finding a hotel in a heavily touristed city. I would recommend this service 5/5 stars.

Fantastic experience: Since Google won't let me put a new review, I'll just add on to the one I did in '21. Since our Alaska trip was so awesome in 2021, we decided to go back and catch things we missed or revisit things we loved this year, 2024. Heather did such a great job of putting the trip together, I got back in touch with her with our new trip plans. She was great at getting all the places in we wanted to visit this time and spend a bit more time at. She took care of the hard part so I could concentrate on the little things of what all I wanted to see. Hotels, shuttles, trains, rental car, etc., were all taken care of, so that saved me so much time and headache. We had the time of our lives. I didn't think we could top our first trip, but I think we did. Anchorage, Katmai-Brooks Falls, Seward, Homer, and Alyeska. It was all fantastic. Thanks again, Heather. We just returned from our bucket-list trip of a lifetime to Alaska, and it was awesome. Heather Travis set us up with everything we needed and then some. I told her what I was interested in seeing and doing, and she took it from there. The trip was so well planned out with great hotels and transportation taken care of. I saw so much wildlife and great scenery while there. We didn't have to worry about a thing.

Fantastic experience: Heather was great to work with! We had a multi-family trip to Costa Rica and the resorts we stayed at were perfect. The excursions were excellent. When we had a family member need to shorten his trip unexpectedly, she was very responsive and ready to help us. (Even though she was traveling herself).

Fantastic experience: We just returned from a 12 day British Isles Cruise. Heather worked with us to plan and book the trip. The trip went off without a hitch. We will be using her again!

Negative experience: Have to let folks know that we've had nothing but problems with a TA at this company. She MIGHT return an email or text message in 3 days if you are lucky. We've lost out on options due to the lack of prompt response and it's frustrating. We have had to find another TA that's actually willing to jump on deals for us when they appear. Just beware - if you have a timely request that means a lot to you, this isn't the company for you.

Fantastic experience: I had an unexpected opportunity to go to Europe for business and decided that we wanted to include a family vacation while we were there. There was not a lot of planning time, this was our first trip to Europe and I was completely overwhelmed. Heather took care of everything! We met in person- twice- and it felt like she really cared. She was as invested in our having a great trip as we were. She answered my many email questions and arranged for us to visit Paris and Amsterdam in style after my business trip to Geneva. I will use Heather again for my adventure travel! P.S. This review is long overdue. We traveled end of October, but my husband had unexpected surgery and long recovery shortly after we returned home. All good now!

He was a great guide, patient with our many questions and very friendly! He put together the perfect package for us-- including park tickets, hotel and some fun extras!When our flight was significantly delayed on our departure date, (a Sunday)-ultimately wiping out our first scheduled day at Universal- he helped orchestrate an extra night at our hotel for a great price. Fantastic experience: We have used GG and Heather for a previous trip to Ireland and we had her book a two week trip to England and France in May 23. We stayed in 5 different cities and had multiple other reservations and logistics to cover. Everything was taken care of and exactly how we envisioned. I can't recommend Global Getaways and Heather enough - she listens and uses her experience to book the trip you are looking for, is easy to communicate with and provides everything you need well ahead of time.

Fantastic experience: I recently used Global Gateway as my travel agency to plan a trip to Paris and Amsterdam, and I have to say that it was an amazing experience. Heather Travis, the travel agent who coordinated our trip, did an outstanding job. She made sure that everything was taken care of, from the hotel selection to the car transfers between locations. The hotels we stayed in were so beautiful and took such good care of us. Their locations were perfect for exploring the cities. The car transfers were convenient and allowed us to get around easily without any issues. The Seine River Cruise was definitely a highlight of our trip, and the views were breathtaking. The tour of the tulip gardens in the Netherlands was also an incredible experience we are never going to forget. I can't recommend Global Gateway and Heather Travis enough for anyone who needs a travel agency. They were professional, helpful, and made our trip an unforgettable experience. She knows exactly what she's doing. Thanks, Heather, for everything you did to make our trip a success!

I basically handed her a list of places I wanted to go to in Europe, told her I wanted to be in nice hotels centrally located, and a timeframe of how long I wanted to be gone for. The work and dedication she put in to make sure I had the most life changing experience with minimal information provided by me blew my mind when I got my itinerary back from her! I spent 18 days in Amsterdam-Berlin-Prague-Vienna-Munich-Brussels-London and not one time was I stressed about anything due to her extra efforts in helping me out. I’m forever grateful to Heather and will shout from the top of a mountain how everyone and anyone should use her services when trying to plan a vacation. Fantastic experience: We originally planned to travel to Germany and Austria in 2020, however those plans were delayed two years due to COVID. Heather Travis helped secure all our initial deposits as credits so we were able to finally replan and take the trip in June 2022! The small boutique hotels we desired were exactly what Heather arranged and were convenient to the train stations in each town as we travelled by train. A private excursion to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles was spectacular! Transfers to/from the airport were perfect despite flight delays and an early morning return flight. A spectacular trip! Thank you, Heather.

Fantastic experience: This gentleman wasn't able to sell me an airline ticket because it didn't work with the specific airlines that was giving the least expensive trip for the time frame that I needed to get to Florida for a dying relative however he told me what to do and who to call what airline and what time so I could get out there and be with my aunt who passed away and I made it on time thanks to this gentleman telling me what to do he didn't try to make an extra Buck he actually told me where I could spend my money and that to me is going the extra mile and when I need to go somewhere I'm definitely will call him next

Fantastic experience: Like a lot of people who put travel plans on hold in 2020, my family decided to go big in 2021 and spend Christmas in Mexico! I thought I could book it myself, but with family members flying in from all over the country, staying for different lengths of time and needing rooms of different sizes with different amenities, I realized pretty quickly that I wasn’t going to be able to pull it all together. Thank god for Heather! She handled every detail, was able to add someone at the last minute and even managed to have all of us land and depart at almost the same time. And when it became apparent that COVID was not actually in the rear view mirror, she was a comforting resource, telling us exactly what we needed to know about our travel insurance and how to plan for a worst case scenario (which, thankfully, did not come to pass!). We exchanged a lot of emails over the last six months, and I’m not sure I ever waited more than an hour for a response - even when she was on vacation herself! Our trip was perfect. We hadn’t all been together in several years, and could not have hoped for a better place and way to reunite. Thank you, Heather, for making this Christmas so special!!

Negative experience: We were in search of a travel agent to book our honeymoon following our wedding in summer 2021. We wanted someone that was familiar with booking during covid, and could handle all of the logistical details while abroad. We were very excited to use Heather and her business as she comes very well recommended (on both Yelp & Google). However in this post-covid world, what we received as service from Heather was entirely disappointing. We were specifically requesting that all of the local logistics would be coordinated, such as airport pickups, transfers, and excursions. This was not the case, as almost all of the details fell on our end to manage, specifically: - Summary of documents for which we needed to bring to St. Lucia. Traveling and entering the country is very document intensive and we had to collect this information ourselves. - No airport pickup scheduled. We had to schedule this directly with the hotel the day prior to arrival. - No hotel transfer scheduled or details. We had to schedule this. - Helicopter service for end of trip airport transfer was cancelled via company. No follow up from Heather and we had to schedule our own transportation again. We had to request for our refund, which went unresolved for two weeks until we had to follow up again directly. - Excursions that we requested to be enlisted on (Heather offered to sign us up), were never scheduled. We followed up as well. They were at full capacity by the time we got to the resort and we we unable to enjoy those excursions. - Hotel confirmation numbers were sent to us for only 1 of the 2 hotels, so we entered the country and got to our first hotel without any of our hotel details, confirmation or room type. We simply wished there was more due diligence and proactivity from Heather, for which we got none. We had socialized these pains with the numerous of other honeymooning couples and it was clear we were not being taken care of as we should. Pair that with the fact we were asked to pay an upfront fee of $50, we would recommend anyone to learn from our mistake and shop around a bit more. A lot of great agents now work remotely and we are excited to be planning our next trip.

She recommended an amazing resort and coordinated all our room accommodations, which I'm glad she did because the hotel booked up quickly. She helped navigate a trip that was cancelled twice due to the epidemic, and went above and beyond trying to communicate with a small Caribbean airline that was impossible to communicate with. Considering all of the recent requirements for travel (proof of vaccination, Covid tests, and more forms that you can imagine), she really earned her commission. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Heather at Globe Getaways planned an amazing family (5 adults) trip to Ireland in May of 2018. She was GREAT to work with, always keeping me up to date on when to book this or that, when to provide a deposit for this or that, changing our itinerary based on 5 adults' preferences (sorry Heather!). The trip went off without a hitch, but I know that if we had run into any snags, Heather was a phone call away to help. She was so wonderful to work with that I contacted her again to plan an Alaska vacation for my husband and my 20th anniversary in June/July 2020. Although it's now being put on hold/postponed due to COVID-19, all the planning and research that she did to put together an exciting itinerary is greatly appreciated and we can't wait to go in 2021. I highly recommend her and Globe Getaways to help plan your next vacation!

Fantastic experience: Globe Getaways recently helped us plan our two week European adventure and we couldn't be happier with their service. We worked with Jessica to create our itinerary, book our travel and lodging, and schedule some tours throughout our trip. Jessica and Globe Getaways were very easy to work with and planned an incredible trip for us. We do not live in Colorado but easily communicated via email and phone during the planning. All of the accommodations they recommended were exactly what we were looking for and within our budget. All of our tours and travel went smoothly and it was so nice to go on a trip without the worry of logistics. They also provided helpful tips prior to travel and guides that we used for restaurant, cafe, and activity recommendations. Fantastic experience: Heather at Globe Getaways did a fantastic job of working with me to tailor an affordable yet fabulous trip experience in Italy! Her services included much needed assistance in reserving boutique hotels in Cinque Terre, Venice, Milan, and Lake Como, plus tour packages and "skip the line tickets" for the Colosseum/Forum/Palatine Hill and Vatican in Rome, and a walking tour of Milan including entrance to see the Last Supper. Her expertise helped save time and made it super easy to see the sights I've always wanted to see. The tour at the Colosseum was my favorite with an amazing guide named Cinzia who provided historical details above and beyond the basics. Heather was also great at immediately and seamlessly assisting with a last minute change needed. I highly recommend Heather's travel services for your trips too!

Fantastic experience: Amy planned our trip to Peru. We had to connect with 2 different travel companies to see everything we wanted to see. The transfers and transportation all went as planned.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I had random things we wanted to do and see in Peru and Ecuador so I was a little nervous how we were going to put a trip together. Amy was amazing, setting up our hotels, transportation, and tours. The hotels were all amazing and we had no issues at all with the transportation company we used. There was always clear communication between Amy and I and her and the companies we were using. I will never use anyone else except Amy! Our trip was one we will always remember!

I especially appreciate how Heather stayed committed to us and making sure our trip went perfectly long after the money was paid. We were a large and opinionated group, we were trying something new, and we wanted all kinds of unusual accommodations - definitely not easy customers! Fantastic experience: Worked with Amy to put together a trip to Puerto Vallarta. After getting our budget she researched a number of all inclusives that met our requirements. We initially had determined that Iberostar seemed like the best. But due to tainted liquor in the Cancun area and the Iberostar there may have been one of the places that may have been affected.. So we scrapped our initial plans and ended up at the Hyatt Ziva. Then everything else worked smoothly. Amy had set us up so air travel, transfers and hotel check-in were all easy. And then we had a wonderful relaxing and warm no worry vacation. We were very happy with Amy and Globe Getaways and would look forward to working with them again.

Fantastic experience: I came across raving reviews about Globe Getaways on Yelp. I was relentlessly looking for a good travel agent since the one's my friends and family has recommended we're dead ends with no response or poor customer service. I emailed Heather Travis about wanting to plan a birthday trip for my 30th to Paris. It was only a couple of months away, so I knew we were one a time crunch. She emailed me and called me literally with in minutes. She was prompt and very informational. She asked what I wanted and price range and started right away on an itenerary. She emailed me prices and suggestions , we spent days exchanging emails and she worked with me endlessly to stay in my price rage and include certain attractions & extraditions in our itenerary. Before finalizing everything she went above and beyond and checked prices again and ended up savings us a couple of hundred on our flights. When meeting up to get our vouchers she was the sweetest, she gifted us chocolate truffles and stood talking with me over some coffee. She was such a delight to work with. We had planned a trip to Mexico last summer through an entire different agency and it was a head ache. It was such a nice breathe of fresh air. We had a couple of minor hiccups while in Paris but when we had emailed Heather they were dealt with quick and painlessly. She also went out of her way to email me happy birthday, and congratulate us on our engagement ( he proposed on the Eiffel Tower out first night there) when we returned home we had a lovely thank you letter & birthday wish card from her. We will be using her in the future, she was amazing!!! Had a memorable 30th birthday with my fiancé. A magical & memorable trip, thank you heather.

Fantastic experience: Heather and her staff searched out the best way for me to get to Hawaii and meet up with my friend in San Francisco for the flight. She took care of the booking and travel insurance for both of us, and was with me right up to reminding me to check in the day before. Their customer service is outstanding. Fantastic experience: My husband and I recently traveled to Europe for almost 3 weeks, booking the trip with Heather at Globe Getaways. It was a very last-minute decision...with planning starting about 3 weeks before our departure date. Needless to say, I felt a bit overwhelmed with all the details, especially with the holidays coming up. I've never done this before, but I searched Yelp for the name of a travel agent in my area who might be able to assist me with the planning. I knew nothing about Heather, except that she had received several excellent reviews. Heather responded immediately to my call. I told her that I had already purchased my air tickets to Europe, but I needed help with arranging transportation between countries, hotel selections (I gave her a price range), and gave her a few of the special spaces we wanted to see that might require tours to be set up. Within 24 hours, she provided me with a preliminary itinerary, complete with all the information I needed. She worked with a company called Europe Express in making sure our travel plans matched our vision for the trip, within the budget we had set. Needless to say, the combined efforts of Heather and Europe Express resulted in an amazing trip. We traveled to Amsterdam, Brugge, Brussels, Munich and Florence...with several side trips and tours planned. We went on city tours in every major city; some were planned and some we arranged ourselves through Sandeman's free walking tours (which were excellent...you just tip the local tour guide). The hotels chosen were all great, with full breakfasts included each morning. I had asked for them to be located within walking distance to the train station/ central downtown (if possible), and in every case, they were. This made it really easy for us to take local trains to surrounding areas to explore outside the metro areas. We also appreciated that Heather arranged for private transportation upon our initial arrival in Europe (Amsterdam). After a long flight, and not yet oriented to the area, it was REALLY nice to not have to worry about how we were going to get to our first hotel. After that, we were fine with navigating the cities via rail and/or bus. Soon before the trip, Heather provided me with all the necessary travel documents, train tickets, hotel and inter-country air vouchers, tour vouchers, etc. She also printed off a travel itinerary with all hotel contact information for me to share with family back home. The cost of the trip was very reasonable, considering how much was included (18 nights of hotel, and breakfasts, inter-country train and air travel, booked tours, private transport from the airport to hotel upon arrival, etc). I would've spent just as much if I'd have booked it all myself. This was definitely the no worry, no hassle approach. There was not a single snag on our trip, which was really incredible. We're pushing 60, and at times, we find we aren't as adept at planning a trip as we used to be, mainly because it can be complicated at times. It's not the actual traveling that holds us back, it's all the options and decisions that need to be considered in the process. Letting someone else take your vision of a trip, and helping you implement it, is empowering...and it makes it happen. That's the bottom line. Fantastic experience: Heather at Globe Getaways was absolutely great. I consulted three other travel agents before talking with Heather, and she blew the others away. Although it wasn't crucial, Heather said she preferred to initially meet in person to get my details and requests, which I thought was a really nice touch. I didn't actually book a vacation through Heather due to unforeseen family issues, but I am absolutely planning to use Heather again when I'm ready to book another vacation. She was great at answering any questions I had either through phone or email, and answered all questions in a very timely manner. She was excellent at taking my requests, wishes, concerns, and budget and coming up with hotels that fit the bill. All around, great experience with Heather!
