The Vacation Store: Reviews
Negative experience: Do not go here for there so called presentation. They are a complete joke. One of the so called people that work there even tried to fight me because they did not get there way
Negative experience: The presentation and lady from our original sit down were great, but the ringer man after that they sent in was very rude. He didnt like the questions we were asking and making valid points about. I straight up even said he offended me and he stormed off like a child...clearly he hates his job and is not meant to be in the position he is in if he cant handle questions with respectful responses....if i could give him a rating it would be zero stars! Would not reccomend this particular place to anyone in the branson area. Kuddos to the man giving the presentation and the lady sitting with us,they were both wonderful and good personal skills
Negative experience: We went to Branson . The vacation store was offerring a 4 day 3 night special. 69.00 It was for sure what it was supposed to be , but the vacation deal they wanted to sell us would not work for us. We set through a required meeting. The presentation was good, and the person doing the talking. He said just a simple yes or no. My husband and I said no. I told the worker that we got to say a simple no. Then she went and some man, probably her boss who continued to pressure us to buy. I said a simple no, about 11 times. Then, I thought , if I stand up amd start to leave they will let us . But Tavis the man, told me to sit down, twice, I said no. H you have said I know you haveyou, told you 3veHe said he had paper work to fill out. I said ok, fill it out . I'll stand right here.He told me to sit down again. He also told me we were doing it his way. Somewhere along the way I started to leave and he said He had to fill some paper out. I said ok and sit down, but I said, don't ask me anymore questions. He started asking my husband questions. We finally got to leave, but they both looked mad to us.I wouldn't advise anyone to go to that place! I know we won't . (We did think it was a pretty good plan, but we don't vacation enough for it to pay off for us. I suggest don't go!.
Negative experience: Need an option for zero stars. The Vacation Store is part of a large scam. They initially rope you in with reduced ticket prices. They only people they wish to talk to is people that already own a time share. Next, they tell you that they can help you get rid of your time share. In essence, all that they do is sell you their own time share product. They deceive you by telling you that you are putting down money to leave the time share that you already have. It is a lie. Now I have two time shares that I do not want. Avoid these scheisters at all cost.
Fantastic experience: Love it
Negative experience: The people there are great but don’t let them talk you into spending more money on “free weeks” to a destination you want to go to. The Casablanca certificate they give you is worthless. It’ll just cost you more money so you’re free week ends up being hundreds of $$
Positive experience: Been with them for several years ,have no complaints.at this time keep up the good work
Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Erik, he is willing to move mountains for you. They have great deals. He was honest and upfront about everything. He told us sales was not his expertise but I would have never known it if he hadn’t said anything. He was a down home guy not everyday you meet someone so willing to help. I would recommend him to anyone I know! He made us feel welcome and that we had walked out of there with a great deal. Even told us to contact him if we need anything or whenever we go on vacation. He was a genuine guy!
Fantastic experience: Enjoyed the talk with Roy.
Fantastic experience: Geat service. Very organized, and all of the reservations had GREAT seats and location.
Positive experience: Very nice place. Charges extra for pets daily. Even when the dog is better trained than most kids but do they get charged?? I think not
Negative experience: My wife & I went to Branson, MO., a couple weeks ago during the fourth of July week for a vacation. Went to one of those discount places to get discounts on a couple of attractions while there. Of course we'd have to go sit through a seminar at The Vacation Store in order to qualify for the discounted shows/attractions. The lady at the discount store was very nice. We said we weren't interested in sitting through one of these things because it'd be probably take several hours. We already had a time share & The Vacation Store supposedly could possibly get us out of the timeshare if we wanted. The girl had said that it wouldn't take long as they have a "one hour" meeting available at certain times. It ended up being 4.5 hours! He was a very nice and patient man, but some of the answers he gave just didn't seem to add up or make sense. Bottom line we didn't do business with this company & now I'm receiving MANY calls from telemarketers concerning booking travel. So beware, you'll probably be calls after going to this business. And we will try another way to get out of our timeshare.
Fantastic experience: Great product presentation.
Negative experience: The gentleman we talked to was nice. It's a gimmick. It's pretty much a time share without them calling it a time share.
Fantastic experience: Very nice people
Fantastic experience: The people At the vacation store Very nice and polite They help me out And set me up for my next vacation And got me out of my time sure For a reasonable price
Negative experience: Although the lady was kind and doing her job. Look on the website from Vegas and see the reviews before making a decision. The only difference between this and being called a timeshare is they say you don't have yearly maintenance fees. They still try to get initial 10 grand to use the service. It's better off to save and plan than to get hooked into something that could hurt your credit or vacation experience.
Fantastic experience: Very nice people
Positive experience: We only went for the presentation for discounted tickets to an event. The woman was very friendly but knew that's why we were there so didn't waste a lot of time on us.
Negative experience: These people will say whatever they think will convince you to buy what they are selling. Yes, I got a discount ticket, but I had to endure an hour and a half of listening to a woman tell us lie after lie. She seemed really unfocused, contradicted herself, and couldn't keep her own lies straight. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.
Fantastic experience: If you are a big traveler they can really save you money. The people were very nice
Negative experience: They were not pushy, however, we were gullible and found out later that everything "Matt" said was a lie. Do not fall for their tactics of getting you out of your timeshare by buying a vacation club. Stay away from them.
Negative experience: All I can say is this, they are the same as the other “time share” companies. Sounds great on paper…….. reality is a very different story. We were told if we needed any further information, or had concerns, to reach out to them for any help. I have been waiting on a call back to ask questions for over a week and a half. We contacted the “Concierge” service to look into booking a place. How that works and what we were told in the sales pitch don’t seem to match up. Supposed to be able to book “advantage weeks” or “quick weeks”. Availability is borderline non-existent. Booking a hotel is no cheaper than if you can use almost any other discount (military, AARP, AAA, etc.). You earn some “credits” but it’s not worth the investment to get started in the program. Bottom Line (in my opinion), if you are trying to get relief from a previous program you may be involved in, don’t do it here.
Negative experience: Very rude people.
Fantastic experience: Great
Fantastic experience: The lady I had was wonderful....I wish I still had her business card.... I'm still interested!!
Negative experience: Do not buy!!! Buyer Beware.!!!! What you hear in the sales pitch and what you actually receive are totally different., I thought the sales presentation was good and purchased but when I tried to utilize a time share they quoted a price of $2000 for one week versus the sale pitch price of $270-$350 ... Don't be fooled, do not purchase anything. Better off utilizing other sources such as Expedia, Delta Vacations, or even Club Whyndham.
Negative experience: Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy! Brought in with linney silver I think is how you spell it. Now I am 8000 down and a 1000 this month payment! So mad!
Negative experience: Not living up to what were were told.
Fantastic experience: Very nice and friendly people!
Negative experience: Liar s
Negative experience: This is a scam! They say they will get you out of your timeshare if you sign up with them. They have no ability to do that.. They open credit cards for you while you are there to pay off their enormous fees and then you are stuck with it. They say you can cancel it at anytime. Yes, the membership yearly fee of $199 but thats it you are out 15K-19K as much money as they can get out of you and then you can cancel it. They are Liars!!!!! Stay away go book your own vacations on the web at Expedia or Orbitz or anywhere else!
Fantastic experience: Best ever
Negative experience: Very high pressure , acted like we were stupid , then tried to guilt us it it.
Negative experience: If anything they said would happen, we would be happy (at least not so sad). (1) Tried to use our first cruise certificate on an Alaskan Cruise (first time I called the sales person basically said the certificates were for off season and since there is a limited season in Alaska, they don't really offer the certificates - after calling the manager, it was magically fixed) - the port/tax fees were DOUBLE that from the actual cruise website and the total cost was $35 MORE. (2) They said they could sell our timeshare - after we signed up with the contract company, they pretty much said don't hold your breath - no real market for them. (3) They said we could add family members to use our account and the cruise certificate but when my sister called they said she could not use the certificate (after several phone calls it seems she now can, but now knowing the "savings", I am embarrassed to offer it to her) They were very nice in person, but everything has been painful dealing with them on the phone. We have had it nine months and haven't used it at all -wish I could go back and WALK AWAY. I would implore anyone sitting there trying to decide to WALK AWAY.
Fantastic experience: truly just great people. Preston really helped us. We have been scammed again and again trying to get out of our wyndham. There was no pressure he showed us the information clearly and let us make our own decision. I have been an electrician for 34 years and I just cant afford the high maintenance fees anymore. this program was more affordable for us and we hope just as good if not better. again I want to be sure our salesmen Preston gets the credit for this. he did an amazing job.
Fantastic experience: Very nice saleman. Not pushy. Told me go home think about I could come back next march and see him if I choose to join the membership.. the best sells pitch I have ever been to
Fantastic experience: Good service and friendly people
Fantastic experience: Very friendly salespeople and not pushy.
Positive experience: Preston did a great job of introducing TLC and to help me with information regarding my timeshare thanks so much.
Negative experience: To be honest, this did not work for my family. Wish we would have realized it sooner but when we asked to get out it was easy and we were treated respectfully. Was a tough lesson to learn. Update: Turns out it is not so easy to get out. Don't care who you are don't do it. If I could do zero or negative stars. I would.
Negative experience: I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. At first the people are nice and answer any questions you may have. They stated they wanted to help us to end our timeshare and sign up for better vacation service through them. They had us fill out a questionnaire that they were to forward to Resale Closing to help find an attorney to end our timeshare. After signing the contract and walking out the door, customer service is not heard of. I called in regards to questions about my contract, left a message and still haven't got a call back. Called again left message and still no call back.Resale Closing called us because our payment didn't go through. Once when we paid them, we were told we were going to be getting a call from an attorney. (Never talked to the attorney). For the next month I received weekly calls to verify my mailing address and email address stating I was to receive the paperwork from the attorney that needs to be filled out/signed and returned. Once when they gave me a number to an attorney office I did a BBB and google search. I read the customers reviews/complaints and decided not to use there attorney. Called the Vacation store back about this and still have not received any calls.
Negative experience: Stay away.
Positive experience: Neutral.
Positive experience: Vacation plan for $200 a year then paid discounted price for traveling destinations
Fantastic experience: Preston was informative and not aggressive. We have attended numerous timeshare and vacation club meetings and even though we are very happy with our Holiday Inn Vacation Club membership, we decide this might work better for us.
Fantastic experience: Nice folks, no pressure, they are trying to sell vacation club plan. Some might like it, I passed. Not my type of travel , I have a motorhome
Positive experience: Vacation Club, similar to timeshare. Once again, either you are into it or you are not!!
Fantastic experience: We may have gotten the best person that could make us feel welcome there but they were not near as pushy as most timeshare or vacation places
Negative experience: Extremely high pressure time share sellers!
Positive experience: These presentations can make you feel uncomfortable, we got there and met a gentleman named Jim , he went through his sales pitch and was very detailed on what they were trying to sell us, he understood this wasn't a thing that was logical for us at this this time, never once did he pressure us, we left after our 90 minutes with no issues at all.
Positive experience: Great service, ty Dale!
