Fantastic experience: I will never forget my time in the Galápagos on the Evolution. As much as I love to travel solo, I'm very much of a worrier, but the Quasar team and their guides left no questions unanswered---in fact, I didn't even have to ask any logistical questions. They cover all the bases from the get-go, which is a relief. The only downside to the trip was when I cried in the airport because I didn't want to leave my guides (Bolo, Soto, and Cristina who are all incredible, unbelievably knowledgable people), my new friends, and the wildlife. People always say "up-close-and-personal" encounters, but you don't understand the gravity of it until your guide teaches you how to dance with a sea lion. A small little detail I especially appreciated is that Quasar's guides are quick to ask if you want a photo, which is nice for a solo traveler. It can be daunting to ask for yourself, and they care deeply for the beauty of the islands and know how special it is to people to have memories to take home.

Fantastic experience: Our days on Quasar's M/Y Grace were full of adventure. One minute we were hiking across lava fields, the next we were snorkeling with sea lions that seemed just as curious about us as we were about them. We swam with penguins (yes, penguins—still can’t believe it), drifted past massive schools of fish, and even spotted a few sharks gliding by. Our guides were absolute rockstars. Djedo was amazing with the kids and seemed completely in his element anytime we were in the water—it was like watching Aquaman lead a tour group. And Monika? She blew us away. Her knowledge of the islands was endless, her passion contagious, and she somehow managed to keep us all calm and curious at the same time. We walked away from every outing having learned something new and feeling lucky to have her as a guide. The food deserves its own shout-out. Every meal looked like it came straight out of a cooking show—creative, colorful, and packed with local ingredients. Honestly, I’ve eaten in restaurants that weren’t half as good. Plus, eating it all while watching the islands float by wasn’t a bad bonus. The boat itself was gorgeous, with so much history and charm, and our cabin was cozy but big enough that we weren’t tripping over each other’s stuff. Functional, comfortable, and actually kind of stylish too—not always the case on a boat! And the crew? They nailed it. Super friendly, always ready to help, and somehow managed to keep everything running smoothly without us ever noticing the work behind the scenes.

Fantastic experience: I just got back from a Quasar Galápagos cruise and it honestly couldn’t have been a better experience. The boat itself was beautiful, full of history, and our room was cozy, nicely decorated, and had plenty of space to make it really comfortable. Every day was packed with adventure. We were always out exploring—whether it was hiking, snorkeling, paddle boarding, or kayaking. One of the highlights was swimming with penguins and sea lions, surrounded by huge schools of fish. We even spotted hammerhead sharks and other smaller sharks! On land, we got to see albatrosses doing their funny courtship dance, land iguanas slowly crossing our paths as if time didn’t exist, and so many incredible birds—Nasca, blue-footed, and even red-footed boobies. Having two amazing naturalist guides with us made it all the more special; they were both so knowledgeable and passionate, and fun! The other guests on board made the trip even more memorable. We bonded quickly and even ended up throwing a little boat party to celebrate someone’s 80th birthday, which was such a fun and unexpected highlight. And then there was the food—wow. Every meal was creative, beautifully presented, and used fresh local ingredients. It wasn’t just delicious, it felt special every single time. The service was excellent, and the whole team was warm, attentive, and made sure everything ran smoothly. The company also did a fantastic job with the logistics—transfers were seamless, and there was always someone there to help us at the airports when we needed it. All in all, it was the perfect. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime trip that I’ll never forget.

Fantastic experience: Quasar as always provided a superior trip. This was our second Galápagos excursion and we loved it. Food- incredible. Service- impeccable. Guides-awesome. A special shout out to Arianna our cruise director, no one could ever top her skills and work ethics! We did the western islands and liked them the best. So many birds, penguins, sea lions (lots of new babies), iguanas and flamingos! Second trip of a lifetime!!!

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing time on our 3-week trip to Ecuador and Peru, thanks to Quasar's superior knowledge, top quality guides (20+ years' experience and training), safe, competent drivers, friendly hard-working staff, and expert customer service. The centerpiece was a week on The Grace with exceptional naturalist guides Walter and Lola, wonderfully attentive manager Valentina, always-smiling bartender Diego, Melani in housekeeping (great towel art!), and terrific captain and crew. In the Galapagos, we swam with sea lions and penguins, learned to snorkel (thanks to Walter and Lola) and did so almost every day, sometimes twice a day, saw the most beautiful sea creatures including eagle rays, parrotfish, sharks, and so much more. Hiking on several islands, we learned about Darwin and viewed fantastic flora and fauna, giant tortoises, huge iguanas, colorful birds. The food was the best on any group tour we have experienced. The group of passengers blended really well -- interesting and lovely people. Our trip began in Quito, with top-notch guide Suzy Munoz, followed by 4 days at beautiful, remote La Selva Lodge in the Ecuadorian Amazon, with guide Daniel Hicks, knowledgeable and great teacher. After the Grace, we spent 6 days in Peru, starting in Lima with another wonderful expert guide Vanessa, then 4 glorious days in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu with guide Paco (Holger) and driver Braulio. Paco is smart, organized yet flexible, great with people, and took us on a very productive visit to an alpaca factory store on our last day. Machu Picchu was beyond anything we could imagine, a stunning, magical place -- we were very glad Quasar encouraged us to have two entrances there. We are also grateful to Quasar for arranging all the transfers, including having Dani meet us at the Lima airport when our plane was delayed past midnight, and then getting us back there early morning 2 days later. Kudos to Quasar's Diane and Camille for encouraging us to do half-day tours in Quito and Lima, that was time very well spent! Huge thanks to Diane, Camille, and Gabriella for thoroughly and quickly answering every question throughout our many weeks of planning. The entire experience was perhaps our best trip ever (even compared to a 2-week safari in Tanzania). Highly recommend Quasar!

Fantastic experience: Simply magical! The Grace is a beautiful boat with lovely shaded decks (for outdoor lounging area + alfresco dining). The activities were top-notch (snorkeling every day, hiking, kayaking, SUP, naturalist talks...).

Fantastic experience: Our trip to the Amazon Rain Forest and Galapagos was amazing. The naturalist tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and great company too! Quasar succeeds in the details - at every meal Quasar ensured that there were options for those with special dietary needs and snacks, drinks ,coffee was available 24/7. Diego, our bartender, had his daily drinks special awaiting for our return from our daily excursion. (and of course would make anything we wanted) Highly recommend traveling the Galapagos with Quasar!

Fantastic experience: We experienced the Galapagos aboard The Grace in January and it exceeded our expectations in ways I didn’t expect. First, the ship is historical, but with a modern style and very well maintained. The crew was professional, hard working and made us very comfortable. As there are only 16 passengers aboard, we all got to know each other and enjoyed sharing unique perspectives. Everyone was great to be around! Our days were filled with activities including early morning hikes, morning and afternoon snorkelling, options for kayaking, paddle boarding, and more walks to view the unique wildlife very close up. This opportunity to view and learn about the wildlife wouldn’t be the same without the expertise of our 2 naturalist guides, Walter and Alejandro. They were very knowledgeable and you could feel their love for the Galapagos. The cruise, as well as a pre-cruise tour in Quito ran very smoothly. We were really taken care of each step of the way. I would highly recommend booking Quasar.

Fantastic experience: Just got back from an expedition in the Galapagos Islands on the Grace Yacht. What a fantastic trip; probably the best trip that I have ever been on. The ship was really nice, recently redone and in perfect condition. The crew from the captain, assistants, engineers, chefs, and panga drivers were awesome and very visible and accessible. The "hotel" staff were also great and friendly. The 2 naturalists that were onboard to guide us through these islands were very knowledgeable and personable. We also benefited from having a nice group of passengers which is always a wild card, but everyone was great. The wildlife also cooperated by being themselves ... it was amazing how close you can get to them to take pictures without spooking them. My wife and I weren't "birders" but they are something else in the Galapagos ... absolutely love the albatrosses and boobies. The snorkeling was also something else, saw so many colorful fish, penguins, rays, sharks, sea lions and sea turtles. Pick up a book on the Galapagos wildlife and you are sure to see it full color. As a said, simply awesome and probably the best trip that I have ever been on.

Fantastic experience: Our week long Galapagos adventure on the M/Y Grace was amazing. The on board staff, naturalists, captain, panga drivers were helpful, kind and informative. This is a trip where every excursion, 3 to 4 a day, we're not to be missed. We ate exceptionally well and every diet was discretely managed without having to say a word. Definitely, take this trip.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful 7 day Galapagos Cruise with Quasar. The boat and 32 passenger capacity were perfect. Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable and fun. The entire crew was great. I would highly recommend Quasar if you are looking for a Galapagos adventure.

Fantastic experience: We recently returned from an absolutely fabulous trip to the Galapagos with this company. Diane & Paul, who were the two we worked with to set the trip up, were incredibly helpful in making the process streamlined & painless. They were also wonderful in their suggestions as to what to do both pre & post the cruise itself in the limited time we had to work with. The cruise was a revelation as to the islands themselves of course. We enjoyed every minute of our time during the week. Making the experience even better was the knowledge & care of all the staff on the boat and the naturalists. The crew were extremely attentive to everyone's comfort and needs. The 3 naturalists' attention to detail & desire to impart their love of the Galapagos to all the clientele was evident in every minute of the day. Every excursion was filled with information about the environment, the animals, the history and the unique beauty of the islands. The many snorkeling opportunities were fabulous. The highlight for me was the chance to swim with too many sea turtles to count. Swimming with the rays, the sharks, the sea lions, the octopi, the moray eels and the many exquisite tropical fish wasn't bad either! One word of caution--this is not a laid back vacation for relaxation. The only way to do this environment justice is to participate in all the hikes, panga rides, snorkeling opportunities offered. Bring your walking shoes and adventurous spirit and prepare for a trip of a lifetime!

Fantastic experience: Liz and I had an amazing trip! So much to see and everything - crew, guides, vessel, food, excursions, wildlife, logistics, etc. met and amazingly exceeded our very high expectations! We are avid divers and Liz is an avid bird / wildlife photographer. Every single crew member, guide, and willing adventurer shared our utmost level of passion and enthusiasm for a once in a lifetime experience for my milestone birthday. Our whole passenger manifest is still in touch - sharing photos, videos, and contemplating new adventures with others from our group. We had a great group of adventurous souls. I highly recommend this expedition to anyone with a spirit of adventure and taste for great wildlife, food, comfort, and comradery! I've posted a very few of many gopro snorkeling videos with massive schools of hammerhead sharks, mobula rays, sea lions, sea turtles, marine iguanas, and many other tropical species. Fantastic experience: The Galapagos trip with Quasar Expeditions was fabulous. We were a family of 13: 9 grandkids, my two daughters and my daughter-in-law, and me. Aged from 9 to 80! The activities planned by Quasar worked for all of us. The accommodations were perfect. The crew and the naturalists were all friendly, super helpful, knowledgeable. And of course the animals, birds, sea life—amazing. It was a trip that I expect we will remember forever.

Fantastic experience: We had a great time travelling with Quasar to Chilean Patagonia in July '22. From the moment we arrived in Santiago all went smoothly, our guides were good company to be with and the transfer drivers took us safely to first Torres del Paine and later the Atacama as well. Seeing Torres del Paine in a thick layer of snow was just stunning. With respect for the natural environment and giving the animals the space they need, our knowledgable guides Christian and Junior went out of their way to show us many different pumas every day - with owls, condors, caracaras and more as a bonus. There were few other people which made for a quiet and memorable experience. We were well taken care of in Explora with a comfortable room and lovely warm shower after a day of spotting pumas in -15c. Great cocktails and good food were a perfect end to every day.

Fantastic experience: If you want to be spoiled with amazing guides, great food, clean & wonderful accommodations, and spectacular scenery, we highly recommend Patagonia & Quasar! Top notch service from start to finish, a personalized jeep safari that takes into account your interests and physical levels and adds in special little touches that make your trip everything you could imagine. Add on Santiago for a couple days and Iguazu Falls too- all can be booked through Quasar and everything is first class service & accommodations. Patagonia will not disappoint!

Fantastic experience: A number of years ago, we decided to take our “trip of a lifetime” to visit the Galapogos. We were fortunate and lucky enough to discover Quasar Expeditions, and had a WONDERFUL experience in all accounts. Last year, to celebrate our 30th anniversary, we used Quasar to visit Pategonia. It was amazing. So many great adventures and experiences that the staff helped make happen. I often tell friends about Quasar, and have one set of friends that I forward the emails to whenever I receive them. I can’t wait for them to decide to make the trip. Fantastic experience: We absolutely had the best time and the most memorable trip. On our way home, we discussed coming back again in the future and doing the opposite route to what we did on this trip - with Quasar of course. Everything was amazing from start to finish - the planning, the support from Quasar, the ship, the guides (Bolo, Christina and Hernan) and the FOOD and ACTIVITIES!! I do want to make note how incredibly inclusive the guides were in adapting to guests’ ability to do the activities. The wild life that we saw far surpassed anything I expected. Snorkelling with sea lions, penguins and turtles was amazing! All the staff on the boat - including the guides - were approachable and friendly at all times. Their knowledge of the Galapagos history and wildlife was a great asset in my view. Everything was perfect start to finish. Quasar has lived up to my expectations and more.

Fantastic experience: Quasar is a top notch tour operator. We first used them to book a cruise in the Galapagos a few years ago with some private tours before and after in Ecuador. Then we went through them to book adventures in Chile Patagonia and Santiago. Tasha and Peter were our Quasar contact then so when we went to Argentina and Antarctica, we used them again to help plan our adventures. Tasha really understands what we enjoy doing and kinds of places to stay in so every minute of our trips have been wonderful. She also has helped me with information and contacts in South American countries that she doesn't cover.

Fantastic experience: Our trip on the Evolution Yacht was the best trip of our lives! A very active itinerary, with 3-4 activities every day, including snorkling, hiking, kayaking and swimming. We saw so many islands and so much wildlife and geography in 8 days! Our room was so clean and comfortable, and food/drinks were all homemade and delicious. All the staff went above and beyond every day...with a big smile and so much genuine friendliness and helpfulness. We highly recommend Quasar for a Galapagos tour...definitely got our money's worth!

Fantastic experience: We’ve put off the Galapagos for years not being able to justify the cost. Finally I told my husband it was time. We are world travelers for the last 30 years and upon leaving the Galapagos said to each other that this trip would easily be in the top five of our extensive experience. First the passengers. I was concerned I would be surrounded by monied obsessive athletes. Nothing could be further from the truth. We mixed with everyone and especially four great young single adults who didn’t seclude themselves from the older crowd. Seeing pilot whales and dolphins swim under our rafts was breathtaking as was watching lava spill into the ocean. Our guides responses to all three convinced us we had observed something sacred. Fantastic experience: This was a dream vacation, not just because of the destination but because Quasar's team made it so fantastic from the help with organizing our itinerary on land, transport, flights but great knowledgable interesting guides and wonderful choice of destinations and hotels. Will definitely use them again!

Fantastic experience: I recently spent 15 days on the Grace, chosen primarily for the small ship and crew/guest ratio. While no place is completely 5 star, the Quasar Grace comes pretty darn close. While the finishings and rooms are comfortable and well decorated, it’s the crew that makes things happen. The chefs (Gibson, Luis, and Alejandro) kept us well fed and accommodated the tastes and dietary requirements of a diverse guest list. Any adjustment was met with attention. The engineering crew (Victor, Alberto, and Luis) were on hand to help with not only maintenance issues such as my faulty air conditioning but with the loading and unloading of the expedition pangas. In fact the whole crew was on hand to give the steadying Galapagos handshake and help with the dreaded life jacket buckles. The panga drivers (Livingston, Roger, and Ignasio) were amazing getting us in and out of some tricky landings and watching out for us while we snorkeled. They always could be counted on to know where every person was and who might need some help. The hotel staff (Xavier, Melanie, and Renan) kept our rooms ship shape, drinks and snacks coming, and watched to make sure every guest was comfortable. Our captains (Jorge and Javier) were great at keeping the ship steady and avoiding most of the rock and roll. We did have one night of things sliding around but mostly the February weather and seas were kind to us. The guides (Walter, Gabi, Lenin, and Lola) were a wealth of knowledge and were receptive to a few safety concerns I had. Were there a few areas that could be improved, always. It was week 2 before I learned that there was a laundry line for wet suits/clothes up on the sun deck. As there is no guest laundry on board, hanging things to dry in the cabins was tricky. Most of the cabins did not have under bed storage for luggage but there was a storeroom that you could send your bag to stay for the duration. That did mean completely unpacking. The wifi was good enough for email and some surfing but streaming a movie might strain the system which was only available in the common areas, lounge, bar, and dining space. That fact that we had wifi at all was exciting. I think the main consideration when things need attention is to speak up. This crew was ready and willing to help address any problems that they could. Would I recommend Quasar Grace, Absolutely!

Fantastic experience: We are not cruise people. However, this small cruise ship and its marvelous staff made for an exceptional Galapagos experience. Not too big, not too small. Just right. We'd go again for the longer cruise., more island exploration, more snorkeling and kayaking, and more educational talks every evening with a naturalist. Every bit worthy of its exceptional ratings.

Fantastic experience: Galapagos trip was the honeymoon of a lifetime! Quasar did an amazing job planning for us, from the days in Quito before hand to helping with the travel back. Everything was seamless and the experience on the Grace was AMAZING! We have come home and recommended it to all of our family and friends and made sure they knew there was no better way to do this trip!

Fantastic experience: We took a 7 day cruise on the Expedition... and it was absolutely fabulous! Every aspect of the experience was terrific, starting with the reservations, the planning, the preparation. They provided very detailed packing and preparation support. And from the first minute of the experience, everything was top notch. All of the staff was equally professional and service oriented. The naturalist guides were sooo fun and informational. We have raved about the entire experience and recommended Quasar to several of our friends. You can't go wrong with them.

Fantastic experience: Quasar Expeditions was amazing. I believe we had the best cabin on the ship A-1. The crew was very knowledgeable. I learnt so much about the Galapagos. They are fascinating islands for sure. Diane who arranged everything was fantastic. There was not one glitch in all our planning. Loved the snorkleing and all the Panga rides. The food was top notch. Fantastic experience: Our usual trips are off the trail and certainly not guided. I was surprised to discover how unobtrusive and yet accessible the naturalist guides on the Evolution were. We were given access to a bounty of flora and fauna and always with these outstanding experts to help us to understand what we were experiencing. I will say I grew to love the great meals and comfortable beds and may now have been ruined, so to speak. But I would do it again in a heartbeat. I got tired of saying "Wow".

Fantastic experience: Our trip on Quasar Evolution was a once in a lifetime trip. Everything was perfect. From the booking, the transfers, the excursions, the food, the accommodations, and the staff. Book this trip ASAP.

Fantastic experience: Quasar's attentiveness, grasp of details, and staff execution cannot be beat. I was one of four people traveling together for two weeks on Evolution in the Galapagos. The research and booking phase was superb including 100% knowledge and unexperienced quick response times. The vessel was as described. Every crew member extraordinary. The itinerary was splendid. The food was excellent and beyond "three squares a day". I'm sorry if this sounds like a paid-for, over-the-top advertisement but it's the way it was. Every day. Evolution is a good size in terms of passenger count. Three guides for 32 people means better on-the-islands group size (than either bigger or smaller vessels). The guides were excellent. Based on my experience with smaller boats (than this), meals for 32 have more variety than for smaller groups where it's like a big family dinner and you get whatever grandma made. Evolution didn't offer a Norwegian buffet but the variety was exceptional. The negatives? To me, none. But there's always personal taste. If you want a spanking new boat or the big cruise ship vibe, Evolution is not it. Even so, why not try something different in a place that's different?

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience on our Galapagos trip with Quasar. The vessel MV Evolution was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The crew was attentive, professional and made us feel like family. Kudos to all for attention to detail, comfort and safety. The meals were exceptional, superbly prepared and with a variety of healthy options for all dietary needs. I highly recommend Quasar and MV Evolution for a tip rate Galapagos adventure.

Fantastic experience: Amazing service, magnificent staff, great activities, spectacular sites (especially snorkeling!) in the GALLAPAGOS with the Grace crew. Our cruise director, Scarlett, was phenomenal-highly-qualified and engaging. I recommend this unique, once in a life time experience!

Fantastic experience: January 2023 aboard the Grace. My son called it the best vacation ever. Food was excellent, staff gracious, and the naturalists were amazing. The Panga drivers should be in the movies they are so skillful.

Fantastic experience: We took the 8 day East Galapagos tour on the Evolution and our expectations were well exceeded. It was clear from the start that the staff were a well oiled machine that have gone through this process several times. Everything was so smooth. We loved the size and layout of the Evolution. Everyone was very personable and you could that they love what they do and were excided to share it with you. It will be hard to top this cruise!

While both provide a different focus with different itinerary they both excel in the food and beverage experience and onboard experiences. One thing is for sure though no matter which yacht or which itinerary, go with Quasar. They have DiBe a fabulous job for us every time and never disappoint.

The crew was professional, accessible, friendly and made sure that everyone was cared for and having the best time. Our cabin was spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious, especially the Ecuadorian cuisine. The naturalists were extremely knowledgeable and made sure that we all had fun. The open sea was an adventure and the wildlife, birds, and terrain of each island was exquisite. Fantastic experience: The experience was fantastic. Galapagos is a magical place and getting to know it traveling on Quasar cruises is the best decision I have made. I have taken both cruises and stayed a few days in the Islands after the last one. Without a doubt, the cruise experience is the best way to get to know the islands and Quasar cruises are the best in Galapagos. They have the best guides and the best routes. Their guides address all the different approaches of interest: geological, geographic, historical, biological and, of course, evolutionary and they explain them clearly while you go through those wonderful landscapes and get in touch with the wild nature. The service is first class, full of details that one appreciates. The staff is friendly and attentive, they give you personalized service with impeccable professionalism. Inside the yachts the cabins are comfortable and the spaces pleasant and elegant. Both cruises -on both, the Grace and Evolution yachts- were wonderful and exceeded all my expectations.

Fantastic experience: We brought our two boys ages 10 and 8 with us on our excursion to the Galapagos. I was unsure how they would manage on a boat for seven days. It wasn't a problem at all. The Quasar staff went above and beyond to ensure our entire family had a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The Chef cooked dinner early for the kids on the boat, and many staff joined in on their card games in the evenings. Cristina was wonderful assisting my kids with their snorkeling gear. The staff are so attuned to the needs of their guests, old and young! Everything is take care of for you. All that is left is for you to enjoy the magic of the Galapagos.

Fantastic experience: Our trip to the Galapagos on Quasar's Evolution was simply amazing! It far exceeded my expectations: top-notch service (20 crew to 30 guests); perfectly planned daily itineraries led by knowledgeable and good-humored guides; a beautiful and intimate boat; and the crew themselves, always smiling, willing to do anything for you and really seemed to enjoy their jobs. Of course, the nature and wildlife are the true stars of the show, but you cannot beat seeing it the Quasar way!

Fantastic experience: The experience with Quasar Expeditions aboard the Evolution is simply fantastic! My expectations were high as I had researched previously and they exceeded them by far. The first thing I want to highlight is the organization, there is nothing that is not covered by each and every one of the Quasar staff at every stage of the trip. From the airport, to the yacht, to the guides, everything is perfectly synchronized. Secondly, I would like to highlight the experience on board. The crew takes care of even the smallest detail, when we came back from snorkeling and the water was a bit chilly, they waited for us on the yacht with hot chocolate and this is barely a detail. We had the opportunity to go on tours with each one of the guides and it is incredible the level of knowledge and experience they have no matter where they are on the itinerary. You can tell they have many years of experience and know the islands from A to Z. These 7 days aboard the Evolution have been the best vacation I have had in a long time. Congratulations, keep it up!

Fantastic experience: Our experience on the Quasar cruise aboard the M/Y Grace in the Galapagos, was sublime. Certainly, the Galapagos with its primeval landscapes and unparalleled opportunities to see wildlife up-close is unique. Just as certainly, the Grace is comfortable and elegant, with a timeless cozy charm, though not grandiose or ostentatious. The Galápagos Islands, seen from the home base of the M/Y Grace constitute a solid foundation for a great trip, however the crown jewel is the staff and guides of the Grace. They transformed a wonderful experience into a magical experience. Where can I begin? Frankly, before our trip began I was skeptical about how much "joy and discovery" were to be found amongst these islands of rocks and birds. The staff and guides worked seamlessly and tirelessly to create an environment where joy and discovery were yet one more natural phenomenon, to be experienced effortlessly. Like we say in the US, as easy as falling off a log. The staff of the Grace were unfailingly warm, welcoming, and gracious. Their tireless efforts to ensure our happiness were an inspiration. Their relaxed teamwork, coordinated without apparent organization, never once forgot about our safety and well-being. Their attention to small details was continually surprising and refreshing. Every time we returned to Grace from snorkeling we were welcomed with towels and refreshments. Every time we returned to our cabin from breakfast, our rooms had been cleaned and our bed made. At the risk of sounding facetious, I felt like Princess Grace. Our guides allowed us to set the pace. They were both enthusiastic with apparently boundless knowledge of the environment, teaching us how to see the remarkable landscape and inhabitants of the Galapagos. Friendly and approachable, they gently encouraged us to see more of the Galapagos and its strange creatures, to see more deeply into the mysteries of why such a place exists.

Fantastic experience: Our group just returned from a charter on The Grace and it was truly a trip of a lifetime! The crew of The Grace could not have been more accommodating to our every need. The food was first-rate; the service was impeccable; and they were just a fun group to spend a week with. The naturalists were smart, attentive and passionate - cannot imagine two individuals who could have cared more for their Galapagos home or who could have made every single thing about the Galapagos more fascinating. And The Grace was a beautiful boat. As our group has said over and over - It was just Perfect in every way! Thanks Quasar!

Fantastic experience: I enjoyed our trip with Quasar. We were on the Evolution yacht. The food was very good. The room was quite nice and that staff kept it very clean visiting several times a day while we were out on our adventures. Most every day we had two adventures out on the water such as snorkeling or going on a panga ride. Panga is what they call a zodiac in the Galapagos. Safety is a high priority on the Evolution. The snorkeling was awesome. Sea lions and sea turtles and penguins close up either checking you out or doing there thing unafraid of you. Massive schools of certain types of fish. At one point several hundred surgeon fish at another about 15 King Angelfish all at once. The guides are very nice and diplomatically accommodated my unusual requests to do some open water swimming within the context of still staying safe with the group. Guides will keep you safe and go out of their way to make sure you see as much as possible. The other staff were also all very good. We also had daily land excursions. My favourite was the trip to the Albatros (sic) island. There were quite few kids on our trip. They spent a fair bit of time being kids which entailed some running about the ship. I was totally cool with it I like kids even though mine are grown up. It is an article of faith to have kids these days. However if you covet your ability to have serenity or a siesta in the afternoon you may want to ask to not be booked on a trip with a lot of kids. That might mean being on the Grace or specifically on the Evolution on a trip with no kids.

Fantastic experience: If I could give a 50 star rating, I would. This was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Every detail was handle expertly by a crew did everything possible to optimize fun, interest, and safety. Fantastic experience: We are so glad we chose the Evolution for our Galapagos cruise. It was just the right size for us. It has history, yet is very luxurious. We were so lucky that all 32 of us quickly bonded and it became like family. I did suggest to the ship that it would have helped if they provided a list of passengers on the first day. We all laughed for days as we tried to remember names, what with everything else going with all the activities. The food was great (I still want the ceviche recipe that David served the first day). It seemed they accommodated every passenger’s request. We enjoyed cappuccinos every morning (it’s great to get up a little early to have a little time before the action packed day). The upper deck lounge was our favorite spot - early mornings, after each activity and sometimes in the evening. Everyone’s gathering place. Our cabin (C2) was perfect. We thought it had plenty of room for storage, great bed (maybe because we were so tired each night?). Yes we heard the anchor but went right back to sleep. The air conditioning worked great. The cabin was kept clean and clean towels whenever we needed. I wouldn’t have even needed to bring conditioner for my hair, as they supplied everything. I also needed only one swim suit as unlike what we were told by other cruisers, things in our room dried every night, maybe because of the air conditioner, which some ships might not have. We did have a couple small glitches in coordinating with the ship for our flights (through our travel agent) because we went to San Cristobal early and stayed in Puerto Ayora a couple days afterward. I encourage travelers to consider doing this as it added to our whole experience (and helps the local economy), but it does seem to complicate things for Quasar, so be sure you coordinate that with them carefully. I wish we had brought a small guide to birds in the Galapagos. The ship had in their library but it would be great if they would offer the cards you can buy with most of the birds on it. I got one in Puerto Ayora after the trip but would really have liked during our cruise. Lastly, our guides were fantastic. We both have a few health issues that required concentration as we did the hikes over rocky, rough areas. Our guides were helpful when needed. Thank goodness too that the ship had walking sticks which were most appreciated. Each guide was great in different ways. Our favorite was Federico, both for his knowledge, his patience and his enthusiasm. They made sure we saw so many special birds, fish etc. They provided so much information about not only the flora and fauna, but also the evolution of the Galapagos. Our entertainment night, with two of the guides entertaining us with their guitars and singing, and a guest who also sang for us was very special and I’ll bet unique compared to other boats?! The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend the Evolution - the ship itself, the crew and guides, and their attention to detail, made our trip full of special memories. I can’t imagine being in the Galapagos on any other ship.

Fantastic experience: My cruise on the Evolution was truly the trip of a lifetime. While the true star of the show was the indescribably beautiful Galapagos and the wildlife, Quasar really made the experience special. While it was a small ship experience (an absolute must for the Galapagos), it felt like you had the amenities of a small town--5-star dining, housekeeping, medical, naturalist guides, bridge crew, etc. Not only was everybody so helpful, they were a delight to interact with. The naturalist guides were simply the best of the best--super-knowledgeable and very personable. I learned a lot and felt like I got individual attention from all the staff. The staff on land was just as great. From the time of booking, Quasar helped me figure out what kind of trip I wanted and were able to arrange not just the cruise, but also mainland excursions. Their drivers, tour guides, and airport helpers really gave me the opportunity to focus on having a wonderful time in Ecuador and spend less time on worrying about my trip. Do yourself a favor and invest in your Galapagos experience and go with Quasar. When I go back, you better believe I'll be going back with Quasar.

Our cruise in the Galapagos on the Evolution was truly the trip of a lifetime and that would not have been possible without the tremendous travel agents, crew, and staff ensuring smooth sailing (literally & figuratively) as well as the guides/naturalists that were selected for the boat. The guides were so incredibly passionate about what they do and they worked endlessly to ensure we saw as much as we possibly could on each excursion and more! I consider myself lucky to have been able to travel with all these wonderful people who made the experience the best I’ve ever had. My expectations were exceeded in all areas!

Fantastic experience: Everything about this trip exceeded our expectations! The ship Evolution, the amazing friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the islands themselves all came together for the adventure of a life time! We swam with sea turtles, sea lions, penguins, sea iguanas, rays, sharks and thousands and thousands of fish in a variety of shapes and colors. On land we got up close views of birds too numerous to mention. We even took a detour and went to the currently flowing wolf volcano. Epic stuff!!! Fantastic experience: In Spring, 2013 I had the pleasure as a travel writer of sailing through the Galápagos on Quasar Expedition's lovely MV Evolution ship. Having not one but two naturalists on board meant that as we hiked the island trails there was always one guide nearby for us guests to turn to for detailed questions and answers on all the curious new flora and fauna we were seeing at each stop. Service on the Evolution was wonderful. Within no time the yacht’s bilingual staff had mastered all the guests’ names, as well as learned their favorite activities, and dining and drinks preferences. Each day the galley produced meals that were both savory new culinary experiences as well as hearty enough to fortify us for days of high-energy snorkeling, kayaking and hiking. Fantastic experience: Sometimes when you dream about something for decades, the real experience just can't live up to the one you dreamed about. So, when I traveled to the Galapagos last year to sail on the Quasar Expeditions' Evolution, I was a little worried since I had wanted to travel to this magical destination for over 50 years. It took me a long time to get there, but I cannot imagine having a better adventure than the one I had on this tiny ship. The crew and our onboard naturalist Samuel were exceptional. I could easily tell that they loved their jobs and were eager to share the Galapagos with us. I've been on over 100 cruises and walked on all seven continents. My experience with the Evolution and Quasar Expeditions was easily one of the best!

Fantastic experience: You always hear about trips of a lifetime but they seem exaggerated. Last year I took a trip to the Galapagos Islands on Quasar's M/Y Grace Yacht. Wow! First of all, the boat has incredible history and is awesome. Secondly, I can't imagine experiencing the Galapagos with anybody else or in another way. My guide Rafa was straight out of Swiss Family Robinson and knew everything. I mean everything. Of course the environment is awe-inspiring by itself but Quasar's staff really made the trip a luxurious, special experience. They really are synonymous with the Galapagos Islands!
