Fantastic experience: I enjoyed the process of picking any location I wanted, within the time frame of the hotel/resorts available slots. Check in was very easy. I enjoyed my stay.

Negative experience: Their ai dialer calls me every 10 minutes. One time I was on the phone with someone telling them not to call me and their dialer was beeping in on the other line. Seriously messed up company and systems.

Negative experience: They keep spam calling me - constantly. Stop calling me!

Positive experience: Well the place was ok way far from any store that you had to pay a taxi 30 for each Way an there should have been a shuttle bus to take in town or sight seeing the road was hoble with large pot hole that a car could fall in and be lost we was told no kids but lots of family was there and no one speak English good so when ask a question would say no English,first night no TV and the minniebar only had Mexico beer no water or soda or wine when asked about it no one could give a answer why

Negative experience: The lady was rude and hung up on me while talking. I did not read the terms and stuff I just signed up and then found out when they called me, I was asking questions like if both parties had to be 25 and things like that about the eligibility and she just hung up on me. The lady is named Kathryn, so just be aware if you get a call with her, you won’t get any answers to your questions cause she will just hang up on you.

Negative experience: Disappointing Experience and Misleading Pricing ​We booked a travel package to Orlando based on a $299 advertised deal. However, the price was increased to $399 at the time of booking, and we were required to sit through a lengthy sales presentation as part of the package. We later found a better deal directly through the hotel for $75 less with no strings attached. The pricing was misleading, and the overall experience felt like a waste of time and money. I would recommend booking directly to avoid these issues.

Fantastic experience: We has a great vacation time at Thunderbird resort club in Reno Nevada. We explored many adventure events and places including Lake Tahoe, golden bridge in San Francisco and enjoyed the Vietnamese restaurant in San Jose. By the way, we played a few times at casino too, no winning. Maybe next time. We booked this to Carefree Destination. The price we paid was incredible reasonable. This place is nearby all the events we wanted. Strongly recommended to stay at thunderbird resort club in Reno Nevada.

Negative experience: I keep getting solicited by telephone from this company. I have requested multiple times for them to please remove me from all of their lists And yet I am still getting multiple calls every day. This is bordering on harassment. I have explained multiple times that my mother is in hospice in my home and I am her primary caregiver. NO RESPECT!!!! I cannot block phone calls because Dr’s etc.. need to be able to reach me. I have explained multiple times that I cannot travel at this time and I am not interested in their services . At this point, I wouldn’t use this company even if I could. I have been repeatedly ignored And I’m still getting multiple calls every day.

Fantastic experience: The booking process was excellent. 110%. Our agent was attentive and she answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Our check in once we arrived at resort was very well organized. No surprises. We thoroughly enjoyed our accomodation and the resort. We had read some negative testimonials about time share promotion, however one couple in our family group had a very positive experience in this regard. We would definitely take up the offer to visit again!

Fantastic experience: Late review, book with this company 2023 paid 500$ for basically an 1 bedroom apartment in playa del carmen for 7 days 6 nights. Flight for 4 two adults and 2 kids was 1000$ from chicago. You have to paid for your food not all inclusive, but we ate whatever we wanted and paid for a water park day and left the hotel 2x paying for taxi and shop at a Walmart. Everything was still under 4k total. Study the place before you go. It is huge resort so you’ll beed to take the shuttle everywhere but it is only a short walk for the rooms and they come like every 10mins or less. There is like 20 different place to eat from and also room service. They clean the room 3x a day which is crazy. We ask for extra pillow they give us like 5 fresh linen pillows. You dont even take you own bag to the room lol. My family begs to go back. Im plan another trip soon.

Fantastic experience: The 5 stars definitely goes to Ella. She was the reason I purchased this vacation package. I also upgraded bc of the great reviews she gave . The hotel gets 4 stars because of the treatment we were given half the time . The hotel itself is a wonder . Amazing aesthetics , pools are gorgeous but the housekeeping could have definitely been better . I don’t want to take away from what the resort has to offer . The food was the best I’ve had ever !!! From Italian to Chinese cuisine . A+ all the way . You really can’t walk anywhere but the trams that transport people definitely are reliable! Positive experience: I would not recommend - would give ZERO stars if allowed. From the very first call with a very pleasant customer service rep.. I told him we were only interested in AI and for specific upcoming (no flexibility) dates, international to the Caribbean/Mexico, 8 days 7 nights. We spoke a few times and ultimately declined as he had no AI to offer and did not have 8 days 7 nights, and our 2 adult children would not be included in the package. A few weeks transpired and this CSR called back indicating that they were just given access to 8 day 7 night vacations, all inclusive, our adult kids included, just what we wanted... with 2 other bonus reservations included in the package. The only "catch" was we had to attend a 90 minute presentation at each of the resorts that we booked. OK, fine we said - we've done these before and can say "no". Once we received the email with my membership information, I find I am now working with another "fulfillment" company to actually reserve my my vacation. I have to call to get a reservation (because website will not allow you to browse dates (only submit requests for dates and wait to hear back)/ resort availability and/ or look up reviews) and... am told "so sorry, there are no 8 day / 7 night packages 'unlocked'.... we will email you if something comes up". So, I settled for less nights, and booked a trip where they charge you taxes and fees up front ... get on the computer to research the 5 star resort and the recent reviews are terrible. So I call to cancel... of course they can cancel the trip and I can reschedule it, but we are only allowed a "credit" for the resort fees and taxes towards a next vacation. Fast forward to another call with another rep who indicates that the 8 day 7 night international is not "unlocked" but no explanation of what that means....I assumed that meant no availability. One last time, as I was becoming very disappointed in my experience.....I filed a grievance with Monster RG, who contacted me and I explained the situation. This representative apologized repeatedly stating that she had never heard of carefree destinations and they must be new to the Monster reservations group, but educates me for the first time that every person that I spoke with previously, including other reps from Monster RG & Carefree Destinations, should have informed me previously that my 8 day/7 night international AI vacation only becomes "unlocked" after I take the shorter domestic trip and attend the timeshare presentation on that trip. So it's completely unavailable to us until this happens. Well this becomes a problem since I had no idea of this and per my initial conversations with the CSR .... my with my upcoming vacation as the only priority that I communicated to CSR repeatedly was 8 days, 7 nights, ALL INCLUSIVE for 4 and international to the Caribbean or Mexico. Monster RG was amazing with their customer service to try to make it right but in the end I am now waiting for responses from Carefree Destinations as I would like my money back. There seems to be a disconnect between this company and their booking company. Further,on my first login to my carefree destinations account, it indicates I owe $299 in June 2025 for renewal fees... what? THIS WAS NEVER DISCUSSED IN OUR CONVERSATIONS. Buyer beware. They record you saying that you understand this is non-refundable however they overpromise and misrepresent the details and what is required. UPDATE: 7/12/24 made a BBB complaint and was contacted by Carefree destinations and provided a full refund. Changing my review from 1 to 3 stars due to this.

For those of you wondering about Carefree Destinations, they are truly legit. Booking was so easy over the phone, they send a follow-up up email with all information and instructions afterward. I did call back a while later to make sure I followed all the steps correctly, and that was a very pleasant experience as well. I got through right away, and they had all the information pull up off my phone number. Great customer service! The best part is the resort! Beautiful, great food and pools! You will not be disappointed!

Negative experience: This lady Catherine called my personal cellphone talking about this her last and final attempt to offer me a Mexico vacation. I was taken aback as I wasn't sure who I was talking to and didn't recall the company name. She then basically calls me a liar stating Im getting her emails. I kindly told her to not call my phone, I'm not hard up for a vacation, and I can travel whenever I please. I don't like rude agents. If you work off commission, you might want to change your tone. DONT CALL OR EMAIL ME! I DONT WANT OR NEED WHAT YOU ARE OFFERING

Fantastic experience: Carefree Destinations was an amazing company to work with in planning our week get-a-way last May. Everything went as planned. There were no hiccups or glitches at all in the plans that we made through them. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

Fantastic experience: I recently came across an ad on facebook for what seemed too good to be true. Thanks to the reviews of others and the help of Jennifer and Eric, we had an amazing time in Riviera Maya. We stayed at the Mayan Palace at Vidanta and it was the most wonderful vacation we've had in a very long time. This was our first time staying somewhere that was not all-inclusive and we really liked the numerous dining options offered. Food on property was delicious and much more affordable than paying for an all-inclusive post-covid and we learned very fast that most meals are so large we could share them. We really appreciated the fact that we were told to download the resorts app on our smart phone where we could access restaurant and grocery delivery. The joy squad helped us with some amazing excursions to xcaret adventure park where we swam with rays and in the beautiful cenotes. I highly recommend spending the extra money to see Joya the Circque de Soliel show too. We took Jennifer's advise and visited Cozumel for a day and loved our dune buggy ride through the jungle. We also enjoyed the entertainment and hospitality offered. This place is so beautiful and we can't wait to go back with our entire family.

Negative experience: I am not usually one to leave reviews but I feel obligated to other families that will be traveling and possibly using Carefree destinations to share my experience. We are a family of five, Me and my wife and our 3 kids: 5yr old boy, 3yr old girl, and a 5 months old boy. In March 2023, we decided to plan a much needed vacation to Mexico. I saw an ad on Facebook for 7 nights in Mexico for $599. It sounded very intriguing so I called the advertising company, carefree destinations and spoke to one of their agents and she painted their resorts to with Rosy colors saying that I would have the vacation of a lifetime with Vidanta. I was suspicious about the pricing and asked if it was all inclusive buy she said no and she went on to say that she and her 3 teenage boys ate well for the week for less than $500! I was sold. if she can feed her teenage boys well for less than $500 then surely I could feed my 5 and 3 year old well. We love Mexico for 2 things: Beach and affordable good food. I bought a voucher from her and We decided to go to Vidanta Riviera maya. A few days later, I decided to verify what she told me by looking up the resort and looking at the menus. When I looked at the menus, I was shocked. This is what I suspected. It felt like a tourist trap scam. “Get those foreigners into your difficult to leave resort and charge them whatever you want for everything!” To feed all of us at their cheapest restaurant, would cost at least $100 per meal. What the heck that’s more expensive than in the US! A quesadilla was $13, cheese and Tortilla…freakin’ cheese and tortilla. I decided to call carefree destinations and tell them I would like to cancel the voucher as this was false advertising. The once nice and helpful representative was determined to refuse me cancelling now that I had found out the truth. She said the voucher is “non refundable”. When I referred to the menu and asked her about the measly $500 that she told me she spent and calculated with her that it would be closer to $1400 if we are only at the resort, she quickly said that “I was only sharing my experience and I was not that you will have the same experience”! I was furious and demanded my money back. She refused. I told her, I would ask for a chargeback and she said good luck with that. We have your recording agreeing to a non refundable voucher. I will leave that statement for your judgement to decide if you want to give your money to this company. We could not get our money via charge back from our bank so we decided to go so we would not lose our voucher money for nothing. Sure enough, my suspensions were confirmed. Vidanta was a tourist trap with exorbitant prices, even more expensive than the US and we had to shop for our groceries at the grocery store and make most of our meals or go to restaurants in town so I wouldn't have to get a second job to pay for this trip when we come back! Do business with this company at your risk and do not trust their claims. Verify for yourself before booking a voucher with them. Carefree Destinations lol they should be called Careful of these Destinations!

Fantastic experience: Our trip to the Riviera Maya was delightful. We found the booking to be easy and everything we were promised was granted. Our rooms were just as expected and they accommodated us so that we could have rooms near other family members. Your staff prior to our vacation was very helpful and told us exactly what we needed to do to have a seamless arrival and check in. We appreciated the friendliness of the Front Desk and Concierge Desk and all of the people who work at the resort. The cleaning crew, pool staff, shuttle drivers and restaurant staff all exceeded our expectations. Our young adult children made friends with the Activities Staff (who do a fabulous job) and we very much enjoyed their enthusiasm poolside. Thank you for a very fun time at a reasonable price. We would love to use your services and travel with you again!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I just returned from a week at The Riveria Maya Vidanta resort. We have been going to Mexico for vacation for over ten years. This is the most beautiful resort we have ever visited. We stayed at the Luxxe level. One week, two adults and under $500!! Fantastic!

Fantastic experience: Vacation thru Carefree at the Vidanta Grand Luxxe Jungle was a seamless fantastic vacation for our entire group of 8 people , staff, grounds and food and beverage top notch all the way, was a little concerned about high pressure timeshare and we were asked once on arrival if we wanted the tour and pitch said no and never bothered again , this place is massive and we enjoyed travelling around and exploring the whole place, something for everyone here .... The staff really make the Vidanta an amazing resort would highly recommend.

Positive experience: We LOVE staying here! Firstly, we love Nadia and the Joy Squad team. We love the games they play, and how fun they are. They bring us out of our shells, and even got my husband to karoake! Never has been done before. Haha. They treat us like royalty, and we just love to be here. We love to relax by the pool and drink Happy Hour drinks and eat the most delicious food by the pool. Can't wait to get back!

The reservation process was easy, the pricing was excellent and our trip went flawlessly! Check in at the Resort was smooth as silk, Carefree delivered on all their promises. Fantastic experience: We had an incredible week long vacation at the Mayan Palace Resort in Puerto Peñasco. The golf course is difficult , but has beautiful ocean views on many holes and is in great shape. The accommodations at the Mayan Palace were very nice, the staff very friendly, and the food at the restaurants was good. We especially enjoyed our daily walks on the beach. It is less than a thirty minute drive into Puerto Peñasco where we enjoyed shopping and some great restaurants. The price for the week was very reasonable. We are planning to make this trip again next year.

Negative experience: Not what I was expecting

Fantastic experience: My husband and I used Carefree Destinations for his bday trip in Rivera Maya Mexico Dec 2021 and I am so glad we did ! I spent countless hours searching the internet trying to find a Lux vacation on a modest budget. With carefree destinations my search was over! Our accommodations were top notch all the way ! I'm talking marble floors 2 balcony's fresh flowers in our room every day, jetted tub, 5 different pillows to choose from. Happy hour with amazing food and tropical drinks .The resort had so many restaurant's and activates we didn't want to leave. I will most definitely recommend this company and use them again in the future

Positive experience: I arrived on Nov 14th for a week. Travelling with a pandemic wasn’t easy. I stayed in a beautiful accommodation one bedroom with kitchen and decorated beautifully . However the area I was in was a newly renovated building which was far away from everything. The shuttles were excellent but a pain sometimes always having to organize your plans. The resort is massive and for one week it’s difficult to get your bearings. I was in a deluxe area so had lots of perks. The beach club was amazing private loungers the pool expansive . Great service and music. The staff could not do enough for you. So pleasant and not pushy The restaurants were over the top. Exceptional and everything I had was so delicious and presented beautifully and such generous portions. I didn’t have all inclusive . I was at this resort in 2014 stayed for two weeks thru an exchange with Rci stayed in two different areas . I found prices have really gone up. Also happy hour should be a bit longer it’s only two hours should be at least 3 to 4 hours. Drinks r excellent. I’m older and prefer a smaller resort . The pools are huge and over the top. . Also beds to lounge on overlooking the ocean. Sometimes I had difficulty communicating with staff as some don’t speak English. 6 out of the 7 days we had rain. The clouds would come in around 2 to 4 and torrential rains with high winds. Terrible. Made going out for dinner difficult. Locals said they have never seen so much rain in November even tho it is a rainy season. Beautiful resort.

Positive experience: Our 2-bedroom villa was probably the most luxurious place we've ever stayed. The bathrooms, and dipping pool on our balcony were fantastic. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and pristine, and the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. However, the size of the resort--many, many swimming pools, hotels, and restaurants--was just not our kind of place. It seems most guests do not even go off the grounds to get a taste of the real Mexico. It was an interesting experience but not our "cup of tea."

Fantastic experience: The wife and I had a awesome vacation at a beautiful resort in Mexico for a great price. Booking agent was easy to work with and the vacation went off without a hitch.

Positive experience: Check in was very long. Resort had wrong info and it took a long time for them to sort it out . Over an hour to get checked in. Seems the staff were new and did not understand the computers. No maps of the resort so it was difficult to know where all amenities were. All restaurants have different hrs and staff at front desk did not know what the hours were. It was always confusing when we inquired at the front desk. Rooms were clean and grounds kept very nice

Fantastic experience: AMAZING. This has been the FAR most best VACATION ever for me. I never been anywhere before were I felt safe, secure, and LOVED. The pictures can't even describe how I felt. Every need, every want, was taken care of in a timely matter. The hospitality by far was MAGNIFICENT. So many BEAUTIFUL people and BEAUTIFUL faces made you feel at home and welcomed. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants all there needs to be met. Whether for themselves, family, children, retreat, honeymoon they have it ALL so many different restaurants to choose from, relaxtion at its finest, beautiful beaches, sceneries to dream of, grocery store if you want to cook yourself or get certain items, activites for everyone, and the BEST entertainment you can ask for. This is what you call a DREAM COME TRUE. I'll be back for sure. Thank you for your LOVE

Fantastic experience: We had a very good experience at the resort. We had a smooth check in and good room with microwave and refrigerator. Pools were close by.

Fantastic experience: Let me tell you … this place was amazing! We came with our whole family and kids! They love the lazy river and pools! The water slide was a blast! Every single thing we ate was amazing! And the bartender …WOW soo good! The games at the pool were fun too!! This place is a mustttt see!!! Wish we could have stayed longer!!! All the staff was sooo welcoming and helpful !! They also have advertisements for dolphins adventure .. this is a must as well (off site) This place spoiled us for sure ❤️
