Fantastic experience: I have been working with Becky for over 14 years, and she has been doing a great job. I just want to give some kudos to her. I booked my first trip with her when my daughter turned 25 and we went to the Bahamas, and she is now 39. Negative experience: I don't know where to begin, I called to cancel my trip spoke with Leah at first she seemed very helpful, told me to put it in writing no problem I did just that, told me that I would get an email of the cancelation never received, called back on 06/23 to confirm it was canceled it was then that she sent the email saying it was canceled. called back today spoke to a young lady (didn't get her name) she then transferred me to Jean who started the conversation off rather rudely I had to tell her please let me talk. I was just checking the status of my refund simple she then says I need to call you back I need to talk to Leah ok, when she called me back with the same rude attitude to tell me that my trip was canceled on 6/12 and that Leah sent me an email on that day and again on the 23rd will Jean I only received one email and that was on the 23rd and the killing part is I save all my emails so as she was telling me this I am going through my emails. I just want my refund my back. I wish Barb Wagner had not retired she was kind and respectful but I get it we all need time with our family. I say all this to say, I will NEVER BOOK WITH THEM AGAIN . I am sure they don't care and that's fine to so I will wait until July 12th and see if I receive an email regarding my refund and if not I will call again on the 13th and prepare myself for the Rudeness. Update: Thank you Jenny for reaching out, and handling the process I do appreciate you going above and beyond even on your vacation. any further travels I plan I will reach out to you personally. Negative experience: Terrible customer service, had to inquire multiple times in order to get a response and even caught them in a lie. I know not all agents are like this but the one I was dealing was very unprofessional. So much that I went to a different travel agency to book a trip.

Fantastic experience: We've booked several vacations through Vacation Superstore and they have always been great to work with. On our latest trip we got a flat tire on the way to the airport and missed out flight. I was able to reach someone at 6:00 am to help us. Jenny and Shawn were able to get our flight rebooked and they took care of updating all of the downstream reservations like transportation and hotel for us based on our new arrival time. I highly recommend using Vacation Superstore.

Fantastic experience: I have been booking with Vacation Superstore for years and I have never been disappointed. They are very helpful in finding the perfect fit for your vacation. I just love how stress free it is knowing they have everything handled from your flight, to your hotel transfer to your resort. I have never had a bad experience booking through them and I will continue to refer all of my friends and family to Vacation Superstore. They are great at getting back to you if unavailable to answer when you call. I always receive a welcome home email from them on my return to make sure our trip was perfect. Negative experience: I have zero clue where to even start with this review, other than I wish I could give them Zero Stars. Everyone in that office is a complete joke, horrible about returning phone calls, they don’t work hard to find you extremely good deals. Also do not expect them to call you back after leaving a voicemail. You will either need to call back later that day or just tell them you will hold for however long it takes. They only want to bend you over and fill their pockets, on top of not checking up on you at any time before, during, or after your trip to see if everything went smoothly or wrong. Just a horrible company. The biggest kicker is, they got extremely when they had to price match Costco. PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Fantastic experience: 10 out of 10 Would book again!! I have booked with Vacation superstore twice now and both experiences have been amazing. For my first time traveling outside of the United States to Mexico I was so nervous but this agency made it very easy. We were treated with 1st class service, top notch accommodations, transportation to and from the resort and help during the customs process. The second vacation to Jamaica was even better. Fantastic experience: I can't speak highly enough of this travel agency! They consistently recommend the most incredible, once-in-a-lifetime trips that I would never have found on my own. Each destination has been unique, unforgettable, and perfectly tailored to my interests. Positive experience: Not the service I expected from a travel agency. I started booking with Vacation Superstore 6 months before our travel to Cancun at the end of May. I did not know that this agency does not book directly with the resort; they use a larger agency, Funjet Vacations, to book. In January, I called to ask how to access my reservation on the resort website so I could confirm my request for double beds and have our 4 rooms located close to each other. Barb was out of the office. John answered my phone call. He told me he would get back to me with the answer. Even after follow-up with him, he did not respond to my request. At 3:30 a.m. on the morning of travel we got an email notice that our flight out of Omaha was delayed 4 hours which meant we would not be able to make our connecting flight. I called the agency for help. The on-call agent told me that she called American Airline and was put on an 8-hour hold. She told me to go to the airport and work this out ourselves. There are 11 of us traveling. She did not help us look for other options. We looked online and could not find any flights for 11 people that day. I called American Airline and made travel arrangements myself. I was not on hold for 8 hours. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule flights for the next day. Barb told me that because we changed flights without their help, they would no longer help us with the airline booking.

I was the one who took your call on the morning your flight was delayed. I did call American first in hopes of getting through to them faster, after finding out there was an 8 hour wait in queue for a call back, I then reached out to Funjet Vacations During travel, to see what they could do. I suggested you may want to go to the airport in case American could move you over to the Delta flight that was leaving earlier. Since you didn't want to try that, I look at sveral airlines to see if we could get you out the same day. Unfortunately all the other airlines were sold out. Funjet was working on the flights - when I spoke to you again and you said you got all of you rebooked with another Funjet Agent- you did not contact American Airlines. I had Funjet email the resort about arranging a date shift for all of you so that you could get the number of nights you had paid for, and had them contact the transportation people to re-arrange your airport shuttle. It was my understanding that you had changed the return flight before we had gotten confirmation of the hotel being extended. We did not conact Funjet again since you were also calling in and didn't make sense for us to be using 2 of their oncall agents when there were others who were in the same situation. As you realized in calling yourself, it is not as easy as everyone thinks it should be to make changes. I do show we had made the room requests you wanted- but those are always requests and there is no guarantee to bed types or rooms close together. Thank you for your comments, we will learn from our mistakes.
Negative experience: Horrible horrible horrible. To put it in better terms, 14 flight delays, 19 hours in an airport and they were little help when they did answer their phones. Our travel agent was on vacation and not available by computer!! We would have been better off booking everything ourselves. Save yourself the stress and go through a different travel agency. I tried to write everything that happened out, but was told I exceeded my word limit.

I am sorry that you had trouble on your return flight back to Sioux Falls. 14 flight delays seems a bit exagerated but I know when getting delayed it is not fun. Even though your agent was on vacation at the time, we still had 8 other people in our office that could have helped. I was the one who got your call while you were sitting on the tarmac waiting to get off the plane. I think there was some confusion and I wanted to clarify a few things. When I contacted American Airlines, their system had already rebooked the four of you for the next flight which was the next evening. Since your original flight was delayed, I was able to get you rebooked on it for departure that evening. All of you were still on the same confirmation numbers and I had emailed you from the American Airlines Website with those confirmations. The tickets had been reissued for the next day and had to be reissued back to the original flight. That is why your boarding passes wouldn't have worked. I am truly sorry that the airport was a mess and you were stuck in long lines, so what should have been a simple check in on the app or kiosk - was not. I was on the phone with you again when the rep got your boarding passes reissued. I waiting a few minutes for you to get through security and even called to make sure you were going to make it to the gate. Travel delays and situations like this are upsetting but I think we did everything we could do to help you. Hopfully your next trip, the airlines will be on time and the weather will cooperate.

I have used Expedia or Travelocity and many others and they can be just fine and decently priced but when there are issues, nobody beats the service and care of this agency, they do ensure you get the best travel experience and will be there when you need them to handle any issues that might arise while on vacation. Fantastic experience: Have used for so many vacations, Jack is the best, highly recommend
Negative experience: This was our second time using this travel agency. We will not be using them again. The first time everything was great but the second time went absolutely terrible. My parents also booked with them and we all got switch to a new agent in the middle of us booking. My parents flight got canceled two days before they were supposed to leave with no way of them being able to rebook through the same airline. My step dad travels a lot and has points and was able to book them a flight to get them to their connecting flight in Houston so they could meet us. Jean was horrible on the phone to him when he explained what he wanted to do. She practically hung up the phone on him and when she called back told him she fixed the problem he caused. My families flights got canceled the night before and I reached out to our agent and never heard back from her for two days. Thankfully I just took it upon myself and was able to reschedule my flight from Omaha to Kansas City which caused my family to have to panic and leave at 1 am in bad weather to make it there. We then had a problem with our return transfer from the resort back to the airport because they spelled my parents last name wrong but at least they did get that fixed promptly. I was very disappointed with this trips experience with the travel agency.

Negative experience: Booking the trip went just fine, but to make a long story short, my wife and I were unable to fly home on our prepaid flight due to a transactional error that happened at time of booking. It has been almost 4 months since this happened, and we are still waiting for our refund since we double paid for our flights just to actually get home. During this process, Jean's help has been minimal at best --- After 3 months of taking zero action, it has now been an additional month since that and we still know absolutely nothing --- we were gipped out of $924 and Jean has made it abundantly clear that since our trip is complete, we "aren't a priority" ------ If you're using a travel agent because you want things to be MORE efficient then i HIGHLY recommend you use someone OTHER than Jean ---- the trip was great and the customer service was good right up until the trip was completed ---- I'm very disheartened by this experience. Again, 4 months since my trip and still ZERO resolution by Jean.
Negative experience: My wife and I used this place for the first time for our honeymoon. To sum it up, this was the first and last time we use a travel agency; it made our vacation more stressful. Our flight out of Omaha was cancelled at 11:30 PM the night before by American Airlines. We were originally leaving on a 6:30 AM flight, and we couldn't get a hold of our agent or anyone at vacation superstore. We did the thing that made the most sense at the time; reserved the last two seats on another plane out of Omaha to our destination. Vacation superstore told us after the fact that we shouldn't have done that and we made things more complicated because we didn't tell Funjet about it. Funjet is a third party company that Vacation Superstore booked our tickets through without us knowing. I'll take some of the blame for not reading through all the contracts and paperwork that they used another company to book. With this being our first time using a travel agency it would have been appreciated if that could have been pointed out more clearly. After that, we asked for a refund on the original flight that was cancelled by American Airlines. They told us it would take 60 to 90 days to refund us. After 2 months, I reached out to American Airlines myself to see why it was taking so long. DoT requires airlines to promptly refund a cancelled flight, which is 7 business days. AA told me they had refunded our vacation booking service a month prior with proof. Vacation superstore tried to put the blame on AA. After I called them out, they changed what they told us to "Funjet has a 60-90 day refund policy because they're short staffed. We booked your flights through them." Unacceptable excuse for holding onto our money for so long on a flight that was cancelled outside our control. I would not recommend this place, they have very little control about actually helping out when you need it.

Negative experience: TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION!! February 2023, This was my 4th visit to Dominican Republic. In-laws have used this travel agent for several years and didn't seem to have any issues. Our flight was canceled about 5pm the night before out 6:30am flight out (not travel agents fault) We called the "24 hour" emergency number right away, several times that night and it went directly to a voicemail every time. The next morning, Friday 8am we received a call and were told, sorry the after hours line was not transferring their calls?? We were advised that it could take a couple hours to see if we could changes dates as the hotel only takes EMAIL changes. At 6pm Friday, after several requests for an update we received a call and were told they still have not heard from the hotel. She told us every time she CALLS she is on hold for a half hour?? I called the hotel reservation line 3 different times to see if they had rooms for our date change. I got right through and off the phone within 10 minutes. We finally heard from the travel agent Saturday at 1PM that we would be leaving the next morning at 6:30am. Then leaving the DR we were told out outbound tickets were never changed?? We had just waited for three hours to check in and the flight was getting ready to board. Of course last flight out of DR where we almost didn't make the flight. Maybe it was an American Airline issues but regardless very stressful. Can not trust this travel agent again!!
We are sorry that your original plans were canceled due to the airlines. However, it is not as simple as just calling the resort to do a shift in dates. We did call to find out the hotel did have availability, but we have to go through the tour operator to make adjustments. Everything must be done in writing as that is the policy of the resort and the vendor. We did work diligently on your behalf to get the issue resolved as quickly as possible. We were told all had been reissued and confirmed for your trip. As a goodwill gesture, we are happy to offer you a discount on your next trip of 5 nights or longer. Negative experience: We had used this company before with no issues. This time we booked a cruise to Alaska. We booked with Kala who at some point in time left the company. The trip was not booked correctly the package was not the correct package that I was told I was receiving. We booked the trip, gave a deposit and was supposed to pay off the remainder the next year. There was no communication between booking the trip and going on the trip. I called several times never was able to talk to anyone besides to give them payment. Sent an email May 2 with questions regarding the trip, I received a call back the day before we left June 11. We got to the vacation, things were messed up in the room and such there was no way of them rectifying the situation. I did email them from a place with wifi and the response I got was Kala no longer worked there so their was nothing they could do. Even after we got back I emailed them to let them know of the experience and I never got a response. They also added a drink package to our cruise I assume attempting to make up for the planning process fiasco, but we had already paid for one ourselves. What I learned, it was a fantastic trip that I was able to work with the cruise line directly. They had great customer service and could answer all of my questions directly. I could plan all flights and everything directly through them.

Negative experience: Never emailed me any options, when the gal said she would and no it didn't go into "junk mail." They seemed annoyed when they called, so I knew it wasn't going to be a good experience. Unfortunately, they lost our business and we've been using them for all our vacations. We went else where.
Negative experience: Went to Jamaica last month when we arrived ar the hotel the front desk said our reservation was canceled and we had no room. Several calls to vacation super store was no help as we had to pay an additional $1600 for our room for the week after we have had this trip paid for months in advance. It was over 5 hours of waiting for us to get a room and a whole day wasted on our trip. After we arrived back stateside we contacted Jack the owner of vacation superstores and he was very rude to my fiancé and basically blamed everything on Delta vacations and has yet to return a phone call to myself or her to help in getting our money back from the hotel. I have taken his non returning of our calls as he is not helping in this matter. We have used this place several times before and it's always seems to be a disappointing adventure. It has been over 2 weeks and nothing has been done by them to help with this matter.

Negative experience: We have used this company probably 10 times and our most recent time, we booked a package (air, hotel, and rental car) for San Diego. When we got to San Diego they told us that our rental car hadn’t been paid for. Vacation Superstore (etravel) claims that if you have any issues to call their office and they’ll take care of it right away. We called on a Saturday and couldn’t get anyone to call us back for over 2 hours! We were stranded in a different state with our 1 year old daughter and no rental car. The owner, Jack, who booked the trip was supposed to call us back that following Monday but we never heard from him. I also tried emailing him but got no response. Please beware of this company. We have always used them but after this last time it is apparent that they have lost touch with the business. In addition, they are constantly are trying to get people to come work for them and can’t keep their employees, which is difficult if you like to work with the same person that you trust with your trips. All in all, if you have any issue with your trip just be aware that you will not get any response from them.
Negative experience: They must not want any new business… First I filled out the free price quote on their website and never got a response. After waiting a week I tried calling and directly emailing them and I still never got a response. But after reading some of these reviews it looks like a dodged a bullet!

Negative experience: At first, it was a standard basic transaction based off our wants and needs. But as everyone knows, COVID appeared making traveling difficult, complicated and worrisome. We had a Jamaica trip planned for April, reached out to our agent Becky and she advised she had clients there and all was fine, she just got back from Mexico etc, encouraging us to still go, even though the experience more than likely would not have been the same and we could have also had issues crossing back into the United States, contracting COVID. WHO KNOWS as this was unforeseen and unplanned. She gave us an option to reschedule and advised we could get a resort credit. Little did we know, a few days ago we JUST found out since we chose that option it is now unrefundable and if we do not travel our new dates picked in November due to COVID once again, we have a penalty of $200 and we do not get a refund instead a travel credit until December 2021. It is very clear this company is NOT customer led, they strictly care about profits vs the well being of there clients. If it weren’t due to COVID we would have already went on this vacation. Becky advised a few days ago again she just got back from Mexico...it seems she goes there every time we have a concern to reassure us. Jamaica currently has a travel curfew in affect 9-5, they require tests to get in, masks, different protocols etc due to COVID, no one in there right mind would want to travel out of the country with all of this going on, who knows what will change and what if we don’t meet the requirements, we either miss our flight and are screened either way or on the way back we are just stuck in a different country until those are met. INSANE!!! The other people in our party luckily went through another agency and got a full refund even after rebooking. You go on a vacation to get away from every day life, not to have to worry about bringing your masks around a resort. On top of concerns with traveling, we also have kids that we could come home to and have to be quarantined away from them. Overall, this has been a very unpleasant experience, a bunch of back and forth, miscommunication, misinformed, with our options not being fully explained. This company does not have the customers best interest in mind, they would rather keep the money that was paid as in “credit” for what will be 2 years vs giving us the opportunity to rebook when COVID is situated and we will have a pleasant traveling experience vs a vacation and money wasted at a resort out of the country with restrictions. On top of that, so much has changed, the agent never discussed us not being able to cancel once rebooked, if we reschedule again, which will more than likely happen due to COVID, who knows what the next change will be. We will never give thought to using this company again. They are not customer oriented and they are not doing the right thing. This is an unforeseen circumstance out of anyones control!!!! Negative experience: We had never used a travel agent before and turns out we should have kept it that way. This was the worst experience. We knew that some personal reasons might cause us to need to cancel our vacation so we made sure to ask if a refund would be possible before booking. Becky told us that we would receive a refund on the hotel and car rental but that the flight would become a travel credit. This was perfectly fine with us so we went ahead and booked. Well life happens and we did have to cancel. We knew several weeks before the trip that we needed to cancel and we were told that we would not be receiving a refund and that there’s nothing they can do. We were told that the policy had changed with the company they do their booking with. How convenient that it changed right when we needed to cancel and get our refund. Even the manager was not kind or helpful about this situation. I would definitely recommend not using this company. Unless you like headaches or have a life time supply of Excedrin.

Negative experience: Poor customer service after my last trip. Their trip insurance and what the agent tells you aren't true. They only refunded less than half my trip. Very disappointed in this trip experience.

Negative experience: If I could do zero stars I would... we had booked a trip to Jamaica through the company in November for the month of May. Well obviously unless you’re living under a rock the world is going through a pandemic crisis. We were dealing with an employee called Janelle Wilson. And she was no help. Obviously we had to cancel our trip... because hi, COVID. She at first explained we could not get a refund and may even have to pay more for canceling. If we could have traveled we could have gone. After a lot of back and forth we got the okay for the refund. Well it was DEPOSITED into someone else’s bank account. When we asked to speak to someone else about the situation all we got was the run around. So it has now been 5 months with no refund or real explanation. If it was a mistake we would have understood and could work together to correct it. But instead we’re just out money with no explanation. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!

After looking over your reservation, we show your credit card was charged the deposit on November 19 and the same card number was refunded on May 6. It was not refunded to the wrong card, by law the refund has to got back to the card charged. I have emailed your travel companion and am waiting for him to get back to me. Thank you

Fantastic experience: Contrary to the other reviews, I have had nothing but success planning vacations with Vacation Superstore. They have planned 2 trips to Mexico and 1 to Jamaica for me. 2 of which were for large groups (20+). I have worked with both Jack and Vicki and have had great experiences every time. They are easy to work with and help you find the best value for your budget. I recommend them to all my friends and will continue to use them for my international vacations :)

Fantastic experience: I've been using Jack and Karen for years. Ignore the bad reviews, - and- ask for Jack or Karen. They are the owners. They will take care of you. We've used them to go to New Orleans twice, Mexico twice, Italy, and the DR. They price match any deal, as long as everything is the same(same hotel, same flights, same airline, same cancelation policy). I like to use Jack vs online because if something goes wrong, I've got someone to call. If the AC is broke in my room, Jack gets me a new room without me having to have the hassle myself. I've referred family and friends and he always takes care of everyone.

Negative experience: If i could give zero stars i would. Ronna Howell and her supposed manager Jenny, are completely unprofessional. I have tried for over 6 months to get a wedding booked for 10 rooms and flights. 6 months! and they still cant get it correct. Charged us for incorrect amounts, put wrong couples together, overcharged everyone, delayed refunds after they screwed up for a second time. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. they have added unimaginable stress to the process when i could have done this myself in one day. the only reason I used them is because they assured me they could save money. Turns out the cost was the exact same as booking with the hotel and airline directly. PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION. In fact, just don't use this company whatsoever.
Your post is exaggerated. You have had maybe 2 clients charged incorrectly. We did not put the wrong couples together. I actually saved you money with taking off the transfers and having you get cabs. We also re-priced all packages twice, when the prices went down. You had 3 changes on one person, and it takes time to have the vendor make the adjustments. Everything has been completed and refunds are processed. Enjoy your wedding!
Negative experience: Called them last Monday and asked to speak to someone that could handle vacation for a group of 16 to cancun. Four families of four each. Spoke to Vicki and made appointment to see her that afternoon. Desk was a mess and seemed like she couldn't get me out of her office soon enough. Gave her a budget of $25000.00. She said Monday is busy so something out to me by Tuesday. On Thursday when she finally sent me some info most of which was not what I asked for I was talking to another lady at different travel agency who got information back to me in a couple of hours not four days. Worked with two ladies at this agency and they were super and today one week after contacting Vicki without any kind of followup contact from Vicki I booked with other agency for around $25000.00. They were great and I will be giving them a five star. I guess the vacation superstore and Vicki are not so super! Terrible way to run a business!

Negative experience: This was our first time using a travel agent to book a trip. We are going to Mexico for our anniversary and wanted help with flights and the hotel stay. In the beginning the process was seamless with booking our travel, but after trying to reach the travel agent multiple times with questions and never getting a response we started to quickly change our opinion. We were also told by our travel agent that she was going to get our travel package upgraded (at no cost to us...) for our anniversary. Then after speaking with another travel agent at a different agency who reviewed our itinerary we found out she not only lied about upgrading our travel package she also booked our flights incorrectly. When this was brought to her attention she was non-apologetic and dismissive of our complaints. When we asked how she was going to rectify the situation we were given a $4 parking pass to put towards our parking at the airport. (Thanks, ;-) ) Sadly, this company and some of their employees do not care about having a negative reputation or giving poor customer service. They only care about their bottom line and making money off their customers. To anyone looking for a travel agent: I would suggest you AVOID Vacation Superstore and find a company that truly cares about their business and the customers they service.
I'm not sure why you could not get an answer, we are here all week, Satudays and have a 24 hour number where you can always contact one of the 17 agents. Sorry for the problems.
Negative experience: Booked a cruise & had nothing but troubles, after the 3rd agent, the owner took over. He also messed up the flight plan. Had us fly from Omaha instead of Denver, then had our names wrong. Would have been less stressful going through Travelocity. I asked for some type of apology & got nothing. They said...these things happen!!
Sorry to hear about this, sometimes we are at the control of the airline, and they will not allow changes.
Negative experience: I contacted this company to book a flight and spoke with Vicky. I told her I needed a flight to the Bahamas. Mentioned I was looking online and suddenly most of the flights were gone and I decided to book with an agent instead. She set me up and I mentioned to her that I could never once find any of the flights she booked us on. She told me she has access into the airlines system and sees more than I would. That should have been my first clue that something was wrong. I will take complete ownership in my part of not looking over the flight she booked. Yes, that is my fault as she booked our flights to Nassua and not George Town. There are several parts I have a problem with. When I called her to tell her what I noticed she immediately told me I told her Nassau. I wouldn't have done that as I was never looking at Nassua, always George Town. I may have said I need a flight to the Bahamas but after telling her where we were staying and her being a travel agent she should have then asked me if I wanted George Town or Nassua. Nope, she just told me I said Nassua, which I didn't. Again, I take the ownership that I didn't look at the exact itinerary, I assumed. Never once did Vicky say sorry or try to come up with a solution to help me. She got very short and rude. I asked her what I could do and I was also looking on priceline for flights. I found a flight I needed and told her what it was. She couldn't find the same flight. I finally had to tell her to cancel my tickets and I would book on priceline, which had a 24 hour cancellation. After booking on priceline I calmed down a bit and started looking at options. I realized I could change the tickets for just a return flight. I asked Vicky to make this change and it took her two days to finally get it done. She never once responded to me that it was complete I had to call the airlines to find out. There is so much more I could say but in the end Vicky's customer service is horrible and she is not helpful and never responds back to you. Maybe others in the business are good but I would stay clear of Vicky.

Tried one of my favorite agents from another company and she couldn't begin to get close in price. Will be using them again. I love the emails sent to me each Monday morning. Negative experience: Two days ago I called the vacation super store looking for accommodations in Fiji for May. Jean was incredibly unfriendly on the phone. A day later she called me back and told me she could not find anything open off the main Island due to the storm that came through a couple weeks ago. I mentioned that Beach comber island resort was open. She said they were not open until late May. I just called them and they told me they will be open March 15th. I also found many other places. I'm guessing she could not find any places that would be commission able For her, so instead she lied to me. Bad way to do business.
