A little backstory: When I got engaged, I immediately had to start planning as I live in upper Michigan where it’s bitterly cold and covered in snow for 6-8 months of the year. It was unrealistic for us to plan a summer/fall wedding at the time of engagement, knowing we would be hard pressed for venues for or having to wait a year or two. We didn’t want to wait or make compromising decisions so we decided to have a destination wedding as much of our guests would enjoy a reprieve from the winter. I stumbled around the internet searching out how to plan a destination wedding, reviews, and other insights. I had met with reps from destination wedding planning sites — I mean, that was their speciality, right? No. Each conversation was all very murky - lots of questions, no direct answers. I continued to feel like my wedding was a box to tick and that I was simply to be sold to rather than guide me through vision to plan. That’s when Reddit turned out to be the key I needed. I forget which subreddit it was, but I during my research, I found a user responding to posts and linking an agency site; lo and behold, I submitted an inquiry with Haus Travel and was quickly introduced to Blake. He spent over an hour that night with me on the phone going through the details of different resorts, what to expect, and what I can do to be confident in having a wedding in a foreign country. Blake was very attentive, listened to what I wanted and made recommendations based on my feedback. He and the Haus Travel team were very responsive to my questions, concerns, and made sure each guest who needed accommodation had an open line to them to get resolutions. If you’re considering a destination wedding or any group travel, we highly recommend Blake and the team at Haus Travel. Fantastic experience: Maddy and Blake went above and beyond for our trip to Japan. It was our first time and they took all the anxiety out of the process and made sure we made the most out of our time. Wonderful hotels, transfers with professional drivers, and exclusive tours and experiences. Maddy also included details about shopping and food in each area we went to for when we had time to explore. My favorite was the omakase dinner at Sushi punch in Tokyo.

Fantastic experience: What a great trip. We saw so many beautiful places in Canada. The Rocky Mountaineer was beautiful. The staff was very informative and the meals were delicious. The view from the train was breathtaking at times. The accommodations at the hotels we stayed in were amazing. Blake did an amazing job setting thinks trip up for the 7 of us on our cousin trip.

Fantastic experience: I will recommend Haus Travel 10/10 times. We worked with Maddy for our honeymoon, who did such an amazing job first presenting us with multiple destinations tailored to what we were looking for, then actually helping us to book with our destination selected. She helped with all of our shuttles, which was a seamless process and even helped book a round of golf! After our trip was done we ran into some unexpected delays due to the worldwide Microsoft outage. Maddy helped us out by providing us a great lounge to hang out in while we waited hours on end for our flight. Fantastic experience: Contacted Haus Travel to help plan a trip to Italy. Maddy was awesome! She gave me great suggestions on where to go and what to do, helped book all reservations (tours, transportation, hotel, restaurants) and just general info/suggestions for international travel. She sent everything over in an organized and easy to use link that was accessed through an app on my phone so it was always on hand. The trip turned out perfect! I will definately use them again!!

Fantastic experience: Blake was great to work with in coordinate our destination wedding (room blocks for hotel, flights and transportation) in Playa del Carmen for over 50 guests. He was able to secure great pricing for the entire wedding group, setup a website with info/pricing for the resort and was able to accommodate all the guests. I would absolutely use Blake to help coordinate and plan a large destination wedding. I would encourage the company to work on improving it's communication.

Negative experience: Incredibly rude and hostile, we had two business interactions with them and the lady is unhinged. It's very unfortunate since you would think they would learn after so long in business not to be rude towards customers who are the sole reason for their existence.

Fantastic experience: Blake from Haus travel was absolutely amazing planning our 30th Birthday trip to Playa Del Carmen. We loved every minute of it. From the private transportation to and from the airport to the beautiful hotel accommodations. It was an absolute dream of a trip. The excursion was so much fun to. It was great to have everything planned for us and all we had to do was show up and have fun! We will definitely use Blake again!

Negative experience: If I could give a no star I would. I started working with Blake in 2019 after my original agent left. I had a trip to Europe planned with him that was to be in July of 2020. The pandemic cause the trip to be cancelled and that was where the problems started. Blake told me that he could hold onto the funds to try and rebook it or he could return it. I chose to let him keep it since I still wanted the trip. Since then, almost 3 years later, not once did he reach out to me. I always had to call, often with no response or answer. Called out to him again 2 weeks ago and he told me he couldn't find my file and to send him an email. A few days after that he was on vacation which he didn't mention. He sent me an email yesterday saying that I cannot get my money back now and I only have a waiver for a new vacation that expires at the end of the year. I want to know when he was going to tell me that because he NEVER tried to call me. I am very upset and disappointed with the service or lack of and in myself for staying with him. I am going to try to look for other means, maybe legal, to try and resolve my problem.

Negative experience: Very slow response. Call backs take a long time. Getting information takes along time too.

Negative experience: I was not impressed with our Galveston booking it was beyond less than I expected for a first time vacation. Our trip was not $2500 worth can't imagine why it was so horrible. And hardly any response from Blake on certain things. Only reason for Haus travel was because of the winning of this trip and we got the shorter version of vacation . Total disappointment.

Fantastic experience: Blake planned a 18 day vacation in Italy and Greece for my fiancé and I. He did a wonderful job as all of hotels, excursions, and restaurants he recommended and booked for us were fantastic! We will definitely be having Blake plan our honeymoon!!!

Negative experience: Replies to an initial email then completely ghosts and never responds. Or will book some services then never answer. Absolutely unreliable. Edited to add checked junk email and nope never an email. Had even sent a follow up checking in after several weeks of no response and no response to that.

Fantastic experience: Blake stuck with us through planning a two-week honeymoon in Italy in which we had to cancel due to COVID-19, 2 months before we were to leave, helped us regain all of our money back, and then proceeded to keep in touch and replan a different honeymoon in Mexico a year and a half later! It was important to us to feel like we could explore rather than stay at one resort for a week while in Mexico. Blake planned a perfect honeymoon split between Punta Mita and Puerto Vallarta with day adventures to other towns form there! Each resort was romantic, clean, with great staff as well as our transportation services to and from! He listened to us when we told him what was important to us for our trip (food, adventure, but also some relaxation) and tailored it to our liking. We still plan to go to Italy one day and will definitely be using Haus Travel for this and other explorations!

Fantastic experience: This was my granddaughters first trip to the ocean and Blake at Haus Travel did not disappoint. The water was beautiful, the beaches were gorgeous. The resort, pools and room were all wonderful. Blake did an awesome job of getting us set up and was available 24/7 if we needed help. Haus travel is my go to travel agency.

Negative experience: If I could leave less than a one star review I would. Blake and his counterpart Corine we’re not helpful at all. Blake did not respond to emails. Even though I let him know I was needing to have something planned in a few weeks time. Nothing but excuses from both individuals (ex: sick kiddo, holiday, out of the office etc.) I decided to give one more chance today and was given “I don’t want to hear a he said she said”. I’ve worked in sales and customer service my entire career and know there are much more willing individuals who will go the distance and make you feel valued. Awful customer service highly recommended taking your business elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Wouldn't have gone on a honeymoon without Corinne at Ski Haus. She was sooo helpful. When we deduced to go to a resort, she helped us find a country by explaining what each tropical paradise offered. After narrowing down the country, she helped us pick the perfect resort. We went to Riviera Maya and had the best time. Corinne was a lifesaver and I definitely recommend Ski Haus 100 times over!

Fantastic experience: There are simply not enough words to describe how completely satisfied we were with our experience working with Blake to plan our trip to the Riviera Maya. He took care of everything, answered my many (MANY) questions and took all of the stress out of planning our vacation. The resort he helped us find, Unico 20.87, could not have been more beautiful or a better fit for our needs. Blake checked in on us while we were there to make sure that we had everything that we needed – and because he had taken care of everything so completely before we arrived, we did! On the day that we were scheduled to fly out, there was terrible rain and wind from the tail end of a tropical storm. We called Blake to ask what our Plan B should be if it turned out that we weren’t able to fly out that day. He had already checked the weather in Cancun before we even called him! He calmed our nerves that our plane should take off as scheduled, but that if it didn’t, he’d find us accommodations that would be affordable and even extend our vacation a teeny bit. After that phone call, he even went a step further by calling the airport directly to find out the status of the departures and texted to let us know we shouldn’t have any problems. Of course, he was right, and we arrived home on time. The customer service, personal attention and deep travel expertise here is unparalleled. The only way I could be any more satisfied is if he’d organize my day-to-day life too! Without question, we will use Blake in the future to plan our travel needs and I cannot recommend him highly enough to others.

Fantastic experience: I originally met with Blake to plan a trip with my wife to France. We wanted to go to Paris and possibly one other city within France and since neither of us had been to Europe before, we thought a travel agent would be a good idea. Blake did a great job listening to us about what we wanted to do and then helping us choose where we wanted to stay, for how long and then helped us book everything. He recommended that since we love wine, it would be fun to go to Bordeaux for a couple nights and do some wine tours in the area. He also recommended that while we were in Paris, we should take a trip to Versailles. He also gave us tips for traveling (what to bring/what not to bring) and tips on what areas to definitely see and what areas we should avoid. We consider Paris to be one of our favorite vacations and it was really nice not to have to research and book everything on our own in a foreign country. Because he did such a great job, we decided to use him again for our baby moon trip. We were looking for a place in the United States in September with a beach that wouldn’t have any threat of Zika. We also wanted to stay at a nice hotel with a spa where my wife could get a prenatal massage. I also like mountains so we decided to throw that in also. Blake suggested Lake Tahoe and we couldn’t have been happier. It had everything we wanted and we were able to find great local restaurants while we were there. We felt like it was the perfect place to have a baby moon. After our son was born, we wanted to take a trip to celebrate our 5th year wedding anniversary. We were looking for a nice beach all-inclusive resort where we could relax, catch up on sleep and not have to worry about excursions, other people, and food and drinks while we were there. Blake recommended a resort in the Dominican Republic because he considered it a high end all inclusive that would feel luxurious. He mentioned that the Dominican is not usually known for having good food, but that this resort had better food than any other place he had gone in the country. Blake was once again spot on. The resort, beach, pools and service were amazing. We were able to relax and enjoy being together and felt like we were given special treatment the whole time we were there. We even had a butler who took care of anything we asked for throughout our stay. The beach was fantastic and probably the best beach we had ever been to. And Blake was right about the food. There were some dishes that were really good and some that just didn’t cut it. But overall, we had a wonderful experience. We like that Blake is very down to earth, listens to what we want, and typically has recommendations in places where we may not have thought of. He’s been very accurate in his descriptions so we know what to expect when we travel and we will definitely use him again. It’s also nice that we are able to talk with him each time instead of having to talk with someone different. The more we use him, the more he is able to understand our preferences to help us on the next trip. We also like that he’s easy to contact. He always answers his phone and has helped us when we’ve had issues at the airport which can be a nightmare if your travel agent doesn’t answer. He is always very helpful with whatever we need and we appreciate all that he has done for us!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough great things about Blake and Ski Haus! He was there every step of the way- answering our million and one questions! For all our questions, he was right there ready with suggestions and recommendations, which did not disappoint! He was very honest about resorts we inquired about and wasn't pushy when we bounced back and forth, over and over again. His email responses were always super fast and informative, as well. We had such an amazing time on our vacation (of 8 people), which he coordinated from beginning to end flawlessly. He sent us all an email to check on us once we arrived and then again after there was a bit of commotion at a nearby resort/bar- just to make sure we were all okay. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company and Blake again!!

They take all the stress and worry out of planning for your trip, no matter the destination. If weather could delay or change your flight times, they’re on top of it and find a solution before you even realize there's an issue. If there’s something particular you want to do outside of your resort, they have the best suggestions and advice. I cannot say enough great things about this company.

Fantastic experience: We had the best experience with Blake and Ski Haus Worldwide Travel. We were treated first class through the entire process working with Blake. Once we arrived in St. Barth's the work Blake put in for us paid off. We were picked up from the airport and immediately the staff of our resort knew why we were traveling. The accommodations that Blake made for us were amazing! We could not have had a better experience. I knew that I wanted to use Blake and Ski Haus from the start and I was not disappointed with the service we were given. I have already recommended Blake and Ski Haus to my family and friends because everything was first class from the start with Ski Haus. Everything that Blake provided fro us was perfect. He made the process smooth and took care of all our needs. When we left he made it clear that if we encountered problems he was ready to assist in making things correct. We didn't have any problems and we were able to rest easy knowing Ski Haus had taken care of every last detail.
