Their co-ordination with local staff is really awesome. We did a private taxi for our trip and got amazed by the communication and punctuality of timings. We have known Parag Patel since inception 1997 and are always honored to buy our air tickets from him, (meaning lifetime valued customer) and glad to report that we have had zero trouble or glitch so far.. Our Lufthansa flight from ATL to BOM was canceled recently, and we called the office of American travel for input and assistance. Staff worked longer hours and re-booked air tickets with confirmed seats. We were greatly appreciated. Kudos to the team members at American Travel. Surely, they deserve appreciation and dedication for their hard work. If it's required, teams even call India to update on air ticket issues, meaning special customer additional services. Mrs & Mr D. Negative experience: I had unpleasant experience with Arshad , He sold me international ticket without baggage allowance . He does not know basics, not trust worthy with tickets. . I realized any one can do better individually then him so started to buy may own tickets which I used to get from them before.

Negative experience: I have been a customer here for a while and I just called them today to help me postponing my international flight imagine which I paid in cash the guy called Park has really a negative vibes and interest.I blamed him that he could have helped me then I contacted the airlines and did it with in 4 minutes.After 15 minutes he called me back still with bad tons raised voice even he was equally talking with me with no humble listening being a real rude finally I ended up the conversation by telling him that I didn’t want to react to such tons .

Negative experience: Booked a round trip flight to India. We had a medical emergency and had to change the flight and received poor experience when rebooking. Parag originally booked the flight and Sonali was helping after Parag was unavailable. We had to call multiple times over a few days to get a response when we were rebooking the return flight and they just said they were busy each time and didn’t call us back. We had to keep calling back for an update. Sonali told us it would be ~$3900 for the one way and when we looked it up on our own it was significantly cheaper. We didn’t get any discount for having to rebook for another day from the original booking. When we told them we found a cheaper price on our own and would just try to book it ourselves if that’s the only rate they found, they didn’t even say anything on the phone and basically just said okay which felt like very poor customer service. She didn’t seem to care possibly because they had already gotten their money from the original booking. We didn’t feel prioritized at all. One of the things you expect to not have to worry about when booking with an agency is if something goes wrong or needs to changed. You expect them to support and take care of things. Simply don’t trust them to help if anything goes wrong or needs to be adjusted with the booking.

Negative experience: Booked a two way ticket here and had to change returning flight back from India. The lady said there was no flights from December 25 to all of January. She must think we’re stupid. Never booking from here again.

Fantastic experience: I booked a SOTC tour through American tours and travels for my parents. The tour was eventually scrapped due to the pandemic. American tours and travels returned all my money all though they are still awaiting the money from SOTC. I appreciate that Mr Parag Patel was very involved and always responsive and helped me get my money back. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Fantastic experience: Update: Recently, we talked to one of the agent on the phone, and he helped us resolve the issue. So giving them 5 stars for the service. My husband bought a ticket for my in laws from India to USA, and the flight was cancelled due to COVID-19. Now when i tried to call for the refund, no one is picking up the phone. I tried calling several times, but no answer. very bad experience, I hope they would at least answer the phone.

Fantastic experience: Past 6 years I have been buying india tickets from American tours and travels. My husband and I travel to india every year. From 1st time itself, somehow I got in touch with Sameer. I really liked the way he dealt with me and since then I only dealt with him. He is absolutely amazing in helping and returning my calls in a timely fashion. I had a reservation in Qatar airways to go to india in April. Because of what’s going on, reservations were cancelled and Qatar airways offered either e-voucher or refund. I requested Sameer to process my refund. He immediately processed my refund. If airlines did not offer refund and only offers e-voucher, travel agency cannot do anything else but issuing a travel voucher. I am very happy with Sameer and I am sure all the other employees of this company are very capable. I had nothing but good experience with American tours and travels!!!

Fantastic experience: Sameer was truly and amazingly very helpful. I told him my dates and he did a great job of finding me a flight at a reasonable price! He spend about half a day with me trying to find solutions because I’m a Med Student and my dates were very narrowed but he found a solution and walked me through everything! Including picking out my seats and meal plans! As a girl it mattered to me how many layovers I have on my trip and how many times I would have to go through baggage claim and he found me a solution where I don’t have deal with that my whole trip to India and coming back! This is my first time going back to India and Sameer truly wants me to have a great experience traveling and he did such a great job helping me! Would recommend American Travels for all your travel needs 100%!

Negative experience: Worst agency ever. Will sell you a ticket then change without notifying. Will not work with you and will ask the traveler to call airlines for changes. Booked my travel in August to find out on my own it changed and they were not helpful. Got a full refund!
