AAA Traverse City

Negative experience: Very disappointed with the TC office. I've tried several times to talk with a person over the phone, left messages, can't get through, no return calls, very poor phone menu. Waisted a lot of time waiting on hold. If I operated my business this way, I would probably be out of business in a week.

Fantastic experience: Got my passport photos taken here for free included in my AAA membership. Clean building, very normal office environment. The staff were quick and friendly, and even helped me set up my first Credit Card.

Negative experience: If you care about time do not use this service ever 5th!! time ive been stranded for more then 4 hours waiting for a simple tow. 20 min wait time turns into an hour then 4 hours. So beware if you are looking for reliable roadside AAA is not for you ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: I am a 41 year Legacy Customer. All Auto, Home and Life with AAA. AAA has changed. Can't even reach the local office? Transferred 5 times as far as North Carolina I am done. And filing a complaint with the State Attorney Generals Office. Wow!

Negative experience: My son is working in traverse city for a few weeks. Last night he got locked out of his car and waited from 5 pm till 11pm for service. He has to get up for work at 5am and no one ever came. He was able to get an Uber back to his place and this morning he saw that they had called at 2am. Our family has been with AAA for many years; auto, life and road side assistance. I think it’s time to look for another carrier

Negative experience: Called for a tow (stuck in sand). After multiple "press 1, or 2" type things, reached a human who eventually transfered me to another human. After providing all the data requested, I was told a truck would be out within about an hour. After 90 min, called again - they couldn't determine where I was (one turn off a state route, drive to the end of that road. Don't fall into the sand). No one had called for any clarification. After 2 1/2 hours, nothing. Nobody. Met 2 kind strangers who called spouses (4x4 and a tow strap) who had me out in 5 minutes. So grateful to them, and, after 36 years of membership, very disappointed in AAA.

Negative experience: Called AAA to get my tire changed. They told me at 11am they'd have someone out by 2pm. Two came and went. Now it's 6:50 pm. Two phone calls and over 47 minutes on hold I get told to "find my own provider because no one would answer" (which they will reimburse). 5 minutes later I have a local towing company that will be at my house and told me they never received a call from AAA. Won't be renewing my membership and definitely will never recommend this service ever again. Terrible.

Fantastic experience: Karin Meriwether in insurance is a supreme insurance agent. She is knowledgeable in all areas of insurance. She is reliable, responds quickly and thoroughly without ever being pushy. I've switched to her being my agent as have 2 other acquaintances. I highly recommend her!

Fantastic experience: Greg is amazing, but you do have to go in to get anyone to talk to you. Called 3 different times before Greg got assigned to my account and each time no one called me back. But Greg has been great!

Fantastic experience: I went to apply for an international driving permit, and the staff was incredibly helpful and everything was finished in about 20 minutes. The picture they took for my permit turned out really well, too!

Negative experience: I was talked down to on the person and on the hand never got what I asked for.She promise to do something for a Journey I was taking , two weeks still haven’t heard from her so called AAA the lady on the phone was rude said there was no way that they could do what I requested but I was told Quick tip planner something I’m new or something you do when you travel that I was asking too much . I joined AAA because I was traveling all the national parks at the end of this year I needed what I join AAA for anyways I didn’t get my request I did talk to a man that was very friendly and nice but it still didn’t smooth things over with the way that the ladies treated me on the phone . Anyhow I spent now $100’s on buying Benchmark and Delorme Atlas so I hope things get better

Negative experience: After 49 years with this company I can attest there is no customer appreciation, rates increase as deductables are so high one opts to fix things out of pocket. No consideration for loyalty. Don't care if they lose you as a customer...plenty more fish to fry. I'm shopping.

Negative experience: We just moved to Michigan from California, the AAA in California takes care of most DMV services. Paying registration, transfers, and plates is handled at AAA in California. Michigan AAA doesn't and it's very inconvenient. If it wasn't for the great roadside service AAA provides, we would cancel our membership.

Positive experience: Good towing great maps. I have towing. But over 20 years it was cheaper for me to go with progressive.
