Negative experience: Looking for a travel agent who doesn’t return phone calls in a timely manner and who will be non-Responsive to emails??? then use this branch of AAA. They will be sure to ruin your vacation, if they’re given the chance.

Negative experience: We are not from this area and wanted to get a driving trip book made with our destinations to get home at Hanover Pa. AAA. We had a book made at our local AAA to get here. Lady at member services said we don’t do that here. Told us to go on line and WE can do it from our home computer. Never even offered us maps. They seemed rude and disinterested in helping us out. I’ve been a member for 25 years and have never treated like this before.

Negative experience: Mid-Penn AAA and the Hanover office is the worst and will leave you stranded! They have a towing rule that will deny (strand) a AAA member of any help if the truck has a "Tool Box". It doesn't matter what kind or size tool box. You ( the AAA member) must have it removed and off the truck or they will not tow you to a "safer" place for a repair. Phone call for help was ended abruptly when I relayed I had no tools to remove a ( box is for safe storage of loose items, not tools and was empty) 150 Lb bolted to the bed of the truck tool box. I was also told I had to find my own way home with the tool box. What absolute Bullshxx for a long term Premium member to be stranded along side a road with a tool box and your truck is the only one getting a ride. Targeted mugging system right there. When I arrived at the Hanover office, the "individual" wouldn't answer any questions for their district because I was a Central Penn member. The question was about verifying the Mid-Penn rule of tool box removal prior to receiving assistance. Help denied again! Be AWARE that each "Club" has different rules that can strand you in a precarious situation. Ask questions and read the fine print. FYI- Toolbox issue, flat denial, driver is NOT to touch the tool box or give you a ride to a safer place. You are left along the road with the tool box trying to find help to get off the roadside. Poor form Mid Penn, someone could get killed and or mugged with this rule. Thank you to Auto Zone for stepping up and helping me get my tire fix and not leaving me stranded. Auto Zone went way above and beyond to help me and make sure everything was absolutely properly fixed and safe! Shout out to Mavis Tire Hanover also, great service! Mid-Penn 800 service - Fail, Worst Service Ever Central Penn Office - A+, Wote up complaint report and gave me the backdoor way for help needed for next time......call your AAA Clubs direct office number, find it prior to needing it. Do not use the All Call 800# on the AAA card. Your club will help you find assistance as long as it is not Mid Penn.

Fantastic experience: I needed to get my auto registration transferred from MD to PA and learned that AAA offered title services. You also get a significant discount if you are a AAA member. I called ahead and got a list of everything I needed to get my registration completed. I was also able to get an auto insurance quote over the phone. My now agent, Stephen, was very patient, courteous and just wonderful to work with. He truly went above and beyond. Hanover location has one as well (Ashley), but she was on vacation that week, so Stephan took care of me during her absence. I spoke to Ashley before and she's very polite and patient as well. You will be in good hands with either agent. All you need is a PA valid ID/Real ID or DL, proof of insurance and your title. Not sure what the procedure is if there is a lien still. While you wait for your PA DL or Real ID in the mail, a regular ID works as well. Make sure you get one if your DL is coming by mail!!! I wasn't told this at DMV and had to go back to PennDOT the next day as AAA will need a HARD copy. Camera card will not work for titling your car! The ladies at AAA took care of everything when I came in. Stephen emailed a hard copy of my insurance card, so that was great! They were efficient, patiently made copies for me of my documents when I asked them to, guided me through the whole process, explained fees and handed me my plates. It was so easy! Worth every penny! Very happy with them. AAA is like a friend you need. Seriously. Call ahead to make sure you got your ducks in the row and you will have everything taken care of.

Fantastic experience: I was locked out of my vehicle. Was able to get the help I needed. Someone came and helped me to make sure I was okay. Eventhough i had cancelled my service call due to not having my DL or AAA I'd card, he still came to me and asked if I was ok and offered to help me. Negative experience: I have been a member of AAA for years. I have never received customer service as poorly as I did at this location. The woman who was behind the desk argued with me about me being a member for a few minutes and continued to do so after I asked her to look my membership up in the system. Even after I was verified as a customer she continued to argue with me and refused to do her job.

Negative experience: Last at approximately 7:30 PM after about 30 minutes of trying to start my battery using a compact battery charger, I called AAA for assistance. I've been a member since 1989 and have only used the roadside service about 3 times since then. While people were friendly when I called, it took more than 10 minutes to actually speak to the person who could help. After talking about the battery problem and noting that I needed a jump start, I was told that I would need to wait 90 minutes for a service person to arrive. It was freezing and dark and my daughter and I were already cold. I am very disappointed that it was going to take 90 minutes until help arrived. Given that we were already so cold, I decided to call my husband. I'm now asking myself if a AAA membership is worth anything.

Fantastic experience: I have had AAA for almost 20 years yes they may have issues at times but what company don't have busy times. If you price membership versea tow. Then all the other stuff. I love going in for vehicle tag or even going in to take care of insurance. Love you guys and I have never had issues with service.
