Dreams Unlimited Travel: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Stacey made planning a breeze with white glove service all the way through. Thank you so much! This is a must have service for any Disney World trip. Cannot recommend Stacey enough.
Fantastic experience: Lori has booked two cruises for us (One Disney & now NCL). Very responsive to all requests and issues. She navigated an issue with NCL promptly resolving NCL’s error. Will recommend fully and will use Lori again and again in the future!
Negative experience: Poor Customer Service. I inquired of Travel and they sent me to their website. They didn’t even want to help me. Really?!
Fantastic experience: We've been using Dreams Unlimited for years to book our Disney Cruises, everything always goes well and love the baskets and in-board cruise credits. Highly recommend.
Negative experience: Worst experience ever. Booked a Disney land and sea vacation with them 6 months before the trip. It was a disaster. When they sent us all the booking info, rooms, reservations, transfers to the port from our on-site resort etc, there were a number of errors. I sent them numerous emails and never heard back. Called, and the agent I had never called back. Two weeks before the trip I was getting quite anxious so I called Disney directly. Not only did they fix all the errors over the phone with my reservation - taking over the reservation from Dreams Unlimited Travel directly, they apologized profusely. Well done Disney. Never did hear back from Dreams Unlimited after that. Talk about poor customer service from The Dis folks. Yes, my agent was one of the podcast people. Stopped listening to it after that.
Fantastic experience: Hannah Anderson did a fantastic job planning for us! We had SOOOO many questions, and we literally went on journey's together figuring out the best journey for my hubby and I to celebrate our 15 year wedding anni. Hannah was so wonderful and gave me all the deets. And we had a MAGNIFICENT time!! We did both Disney & Universal, and it was plum amazing!!!! I just really appreciated all the knowledge and patience, as I had ideas and fantasies of one avenue, and then i'm like lets try this direction, or what about this ? lol Hannah was just so kind and down to earth, and oh so knowledgable! Forever grateful for Dreams Unlimited travel! Making dreams come true!
Fantastic experience: I can only speak to the travel agent I have used-Traci Kann. I highly recommend her. She has been easy to work with, very helpful in finding the best cruise that fits our needs, plus she takes into account what works financially. Most important, she is easy to get a hold of and returns messages in a timely manner.
Negative experience: As a former listener to the podcast, I decided to try out Dreams Unlimited Travel. First instance was fine; we ended up cancelling due to the pandemic but the whole refund process was easy. It's true that they ignore your questions via email (especially if you have a list of them). Second time, I used them for a Disneyland trip with no issues. Support is minimal but it's fine if you're knowledgeable already. Second time I used them was for an Aulani booking. Again, we had minimal support. We were supposed to get the Aulani mugs sent to us before the trip but didn't see anything. Agent said that since it was "my" mistake, they wouldn't send replacements. I asked where I could've updated my address on their site and apparently it's when you fill out the quote form. I went back to check my dates. The address they sent the mugs to was the OLD address I was living in during my previous Disneyland trip. Why would I input my old address into the form (in 2022) when I've been living at the new address for months (moved out in 2021)? It seems like they didn't update their ancient system, which is evident by the outdated design of their site. This could have been avoided by double checking the address before they shipped out the mugs (didn't see any tracking info either btw). The whole situation left a bad taste in my mouth. Use this company at your own risk, but most would be better off booking by themselves.
Fantastic experience: Delicious food, cold drinks, it is always packed expect a wait and you won't be disappointed.
Fantastic experience: We’ve worked with Krystin many times! We primarily book with her for Disney World and she always helps us get our favorite dining reservations, as well as spa time. We always end up in great rooms, with no pressure to upgrade our resorts (she has helped us with both deluxe and moderate stays). She helped us navigate COVID when we were at the parks when they were shut down, helped us book a trip and navigate the every changing COVID rules a year later, helped us book a last minute trip when we weren’t happy staying elsewhere in Florida and wanted to go back to Disney for the end of our vacation (she seriously answered our email day of inquiry to get us booked). She booked us a stay at the Grand Californian and helped answer all of our questions for our first Disneyland trip, including snagging us Oogie Boogie Bash tickets and some super challenging dining reservations (blue bayou and chef’s table at Napa Rose which involved her making a call at a crazy hour just to leave a voicemail to get us on a special list). She helped my maid of honor book my bachelorette trip (she couldn’t book our hotel or tickets because we stayed off property and for a short time, but still helped her book our VIP tour). She’s helped us book a rundisney trip so I could run the Dopey challenge, and helped us book a big family trip, including canceling a portion when part of that group could no longer make it. Krystin is truly amazing at her job. If she doesn’t know the answer to your question she will find out. She is SO FAST in her responses and reliable. I wouldn’t book a Disney trip without her. She genuinely cares that you have a wonderful trip and wants to help tailor it to your group (I can seriously speak to this after having planned so many different types of trips with her)! If you’re looking for a Disney TA then she’s the one you want. I can’t wait to book our next trip with Krystin!
Fantastic experience: We’ve worked with dreams unlimited for our last 5 Disney cruises and have always been so happy with the service and the help. Kathy Wherling has been our agent and has always been wonderful and helpful. We are booking a Royal Caribbean this summer and have been working with Tracey who has also been amazing! Definitely recommend!!
Fantastic experience: Good choice of raw food available. Competitive prices
Negative experience: Don't use this agency... they leave ppl stranded at the airport knowingly the fault is on their side. This happened to us before as well ... same agency ( no communication what's so ever. Natasha is the lady we deal with all the time. Pls pls pls don't use these ppl ... As always we end up angry after using them.... I'm not sure why my husband use them. We def will not use them again that's for sure.
Negative experience: After watching the YouTube channels for years I said if I ever booked a DCL trip I'd use these guys. I went on the site and it's like a geocities website. It's like a site from 1999 all it needs is a visitor counter on the bottom. It was our first cruise so we were hesitant and contacted the agent we were randomly assigned and we asked to speak on the phone and he acted like it as such a hassle to call. (IMMEDIATE RED FLAG) The emails they send are clearly copied and pasted word pasta. Again WAY too wordy and look like a Nigerian Prince scam email. We decided to give it a shot anyway after doing our own research. Watching other channels and reading other blogs that were super helpful. We tried to reach our agent for days with no response we finally called the customer service line and they were WAY more helpful. We tossed it up to our agent just not being a very good one but it was way too late. After we paid it was crickets. We were left feeling snubbed and if I had question it would go unanswered. There are plenty of other travel agents hungry for business and we should have gone that route but we kept thinking it'd get better because we have been fans for so long. They repeat how knowledgeable and great the service is. It was not. Just sorta lackluster, a real shame. We decided to join some DCL Facebook groups and we are so glad we did THEY were sooooooo helpful. Talk about a plethora of useful info and people who aren't bothered over u asking questions, they are happy to help! I don't think I'd use them again, the gift basket was nice but I'd rather have 1-2 quality things over quantity of cheap stuff tbh.
Negative experience: I had such high hopes for my trip booked through Dreams Unlimited Travel. I have listened to The Dis Unplugged podcast for over 6 years and they always talked up how they go above and beyond for their clients. My experience was far from that. Travelling from Australia to Disneyland CA for a once in a lifetime trip I wanted to use a Disney TA (travel agent) for the best experience. There were specific dates for park and dinning reservations we needed and I communicated all of this from the start over a year before the trip. Originally it seemed to be going well with my TA Mary, but it didnt last long. When I asked about questions on the best way to get to our hotel in Anaheim from Hollywood and she told me to google it because she didnt know the area. She also would ignore certain questions I was asking and I would be chasing up for weeks to get the answer. She said she wasnt able to help me book the park reservations and that I had to do it myself and also failed to help me with the dining reservations even though I expressed early on how important they were. I then ended up needing to pay an app to be alerted when reservations opened because they were all booked up and she said she couldnt do anything about it. I was (apparently wrongly) under the impression having a Disney TA would mean helping me with these bookings especially when I was in a different timezone. Everything but booking the hotels and the park tickets was left to me and I believe I would have done better booking the hotels on my own. We also were told the full balance was due a month before the trip which we paid but surprisingly we were charged on checkout of Paradise Pier Hotel. I was then unable to look back on our booking because everything goes through the client portal and after your trip is no longer available. I chased up with our new TA and she said they couldnt send me any invoices as the payments were through Disney even though we paid through DUT. This meant that we had to pay an additional $800AUD that we didnt realise was not apart of the original quote. This company does the bare minimum but likes people to believe they are a godsend. I responded to their online questionnaire about my experience and heard nothing. Don't even bother booking through them. You can do it yourself and probably will get better hotel deals anyway!
Fantastic experience: We booked multiple cruises Teresa was fantastic.we will continue to use her
Negative experience: They'll never, ever answer. No customer service at all bc they don't even contact you. They act like they want you to just go away. Pls, pls read other reviews, as well. Horrible bc I really wanted to like them but after two tries n no reply at all, I'm done No wonder others are saying very negative things.
Fantastic experience: We have had three different booking experiences so far. Complete different storys, but all handled perfectly professionally: 1. 2018: Universal-Orlando: Had a long interaction on finding the best fitting travel plans for us. Ended up in the hard rock and had 3 wonderfull days with our family. 2. 2019/2020: Covid-19: Did our booking a full week staying at DW (french quarter). Had to cancel the trip due to covid: Again: Very helpful with the process of finding the right package fo us. And then a very, very, professional cancellation process. 3. I asked for a very specific packaging for a potential november 23 Orlando vacation. Unfortunately this time DUT was not able to match the pricing DW offered on there EU websitge. But the response time was incredible fast, and the answer was very professional and honest. @Beth, you are the best !
Negative experience: Horrible experience with this company. It’s 2023…Do yourself a HUGE favor and book your own travel. I decided to reach out to them for an upcoming Disney cruise because they host this podcast on utube and they seemed like a great bunch of people and I wanted to support them. When I first reached out they were nothing but professional and responsive, but after they got my money the communication just STOPPED! I had to make a change about two weeks before the cruise due to a death in the family and they finally responded a week later with rude answers and basically told me tough luck. They didn’t even show any empathy towards our situation. Absolutely horrifying experience. The nasty 15 dollar gift basket they sent was expired and stale and the 50 dollar on-board credit wasn’t worth it as you will get the same credit if you just book the cruise yourself. I’m not sure why travel agencies still exist in 2023. Just go online and book your trip yourself and save yourself a huge headache in the future!
Fantastic experience: Our agent was Allison Raver for our weeklong Disney World trip October 2022. She was awesome and very responsive. Even was able to book a VIP tour about a month before the trip. I had a very positive experience and she provided us with all the information we needed. We are experienced with taking trips to Disneyland and Disney World however working with an agent made it even easier. It was nice to know someone was taking care of our hotel and park tickets for us. Thank you Allison!
Negative experience: Never got back to me when I had questions.
Negative experience: Definitely not impressed. If you just want the travel agent for the onboard credit, etc., go for it, but if you have a question or need help, good luck. My agent answered, at first, but literally was passive aggressive with me about it. I told her I was just double checking about something, but she responded that the info was in the website she sent me, but the short answer was yes. Now I can't get into my picture package & I actually need help & she has gone MIA. I will not be using this travel agent again. I normally take care of booking, etc myself. I'd heard that they were supposed to help you with the process, etc., & since this was our first cruise thought it might make it less stressful. Instead it felt like my agent wanted to do the bare minimum & that was it.
Fantastic experience: I’ve used Merrie for all three of the Disney cruises I’ve taken so far. On our first cruise she caught a discount we qualified for, and was able to save $1k on our trip, with a room upgrade! And every time we cruise we get the free onboard ship credit. I’m not the biggest fan of the website, but it is serviceable. So all in all, it’s been a great experience and I’ll keep using their services.
Negative experience: I've been a listener of the DIS Unplugged for years and thought our first DCL trip would be a good time to try out using a travel agent for the first time and to use them since I love their show. Good experience with getting a quote and then booking our first ever DCL trip on the Wish. It was all downhill from there. First agent, Marla was MIA, gave us several very wrong pieces of information. Requested a new agent, John Magi was helpful and quick to respond and reassign us. Next agent, Chris, was ok at first but has quickly turned MIA unless we reach out multiple times and getting one small piece of information is tough. Overall, I haven't found using DUL to save me time or make planning easy like they advertise. The OBC and gift basket are nice but not at all worth having a middle man. When you book through a travel agency instead of direct to DCL, every little thing also needs to be done through the agent and when they are MIA, it's very stressful. I've planned my WDW and DL trips myself for YEARS and will likely continue to do so. They didn't ruin my vacation as others say here, but it just wasn't worth it at all. I regret booking through them and not direct.
Negative experience: Always takes multiple emails and a week to get a response from our agent. Not happy with our service. We will never use them again!
Fantastic experience: We love Mary from Dreams. She answered all of my husband's 1 million questions!
Fantastic experience: We always book through Dreams. We get on board spending money and the BEST customer service from Tracey H. Would not book any other way.
Fantastic experience: Everythibg was running smooth from the word go untill we got back .... Thank you Dreams Unlimited for making it a memorable wonderfull trip
Fantastic experience: Super nice , come in and get the best deal on your travel or allow it to be an upgrade from your expectations.
Fantastic experience: Everyone is amazing and so helpful! I will never not use Dreams Unlimited, it's so worth having the vacation planning help!
Negative experience: OMG. What a nig htmare. As a previous poster stated, DreamsUnlimited reserves you a stateroom, takes your money and you are on your own after that. I expected information, guidance, answers to questions. They basically ghosted me after they took the money. I tried to get through, but no responses. I didn't realize that's ALL they do. I feel so scammed.
Fantastic experience: I’ve booked two cruises through Dreams unlimited and Kelsie J. was super helpful responsive and over was a good experience. Second cruise had lots of questions and changes to the party before booking and she helped me out and made sure all questions were answered. I did get a bit of a slow response one time but it was when Disney released their last round of dates so Kelsie was definitely a bit busy. I plan to keep using them.
Negative experience: Was not helpful for me. I am a nurse, very busy schedule. They do not allow phone calls. Pretty much bombard you with emails. We booked for Disney and resort on property and it was very overwhelming trying to sort through nothing but emails.
Fantastic experience: It was our first time working with a travel agency and using Dreams was a simple and easy process with no added expense to us for the excellent service. We were given all the information we needed to make our choices and our agent, Makayla Porter, took care of all the work. She was quick to respond when we had any questions, and there were many as we are cruising newbies as well as having to deal with cancelations due to the covid shutdowns and then the rebooking. She kept is informed, made it simple for us and was was amazing to work with! So much so that we've already booked another vacation through her and Dreams for next year. We also dropped by the Dreams office near the port before we went to the ship and had a lovely time relaxing and chatting with the agents there (Teresa and...? I missed the others name, sorry.) There's a reason why they call their office the "Welcome Center" because that's how they make you feel there. All in all, it was an easy and enjoyable professional and personal experience throughout.
Fantastic experience: Anytime I have a question my TA is on point with an immediate response.
Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough about Tracey Heinrichs’ kindness, professionalism, and competence. I married into a Disney family, and so I was very excited to go to Disney World for the very first time this summer. We had an amazing first two days out of the 10 originally planned before getting news of a family emergency. None of us hesitated about our decision to leave early, but we were sad to potentially lose our tickets since they typically can’t be canceled or modified after a certain time. Thankfully, during the stress of this family emergency, Tracey graciously and kindly stepped in to help us get our tickets modified, even though she originally only helped us with room reservations and not tickets. Despite having nothing to gain from helping us, she was very happy to do so and got us a great replacement option so we will still have 8 days for our next trip when we can get it rescheduled. Tracey’s thoughtfulness made a tough time a lot better, and I can’t wait to explore more of Disney when we are able to go back. Tracey, thank you so much for spreading some Disney magic and kindness!!
Negative experience: I have never used a TA before but thought it might be helpful since I haven’t cruised on Disney before. Basically all they do is book your cruise and that’s it. It was impossible to get any contact from my agent after booking even after multiple emails and forget calling you won’t speak to them. If it wasn’t for the Disney Cruise FB group for my sailing I would have had no idea about anything I need to do before hand or how to prepare. I could have booked the cruise myself. I guess if you looking for some on board credit it could be worth it. But honestly it was only $50 and didn’t make much of a deal especially since I was frustrated that I wasn’t getting any assistance . As for the gift basket it’s a bunch of dollar store stuff I didn’t even use or made sense post Covid. Sadly they lost out on future business since we just booked another cruise with a TA I met on the Disney Cruise Fb Group for July.
Fantastic experience: Dreams are the Best ! Elaine always does a great job for us.
Fantastic experience: We've booked our last 3 vacations with them after watching their very helpful videos on YouTube. We recommend them highly to anyone going on a Disney Cruise or to any Disney vacation.
Negative experience: TL;DR: ghosted Contacted an agent after our first Disney Cruse to transfer an advanced reservation. Was ghosted for 2 months, then told that it wasn't within the 30 day window to transfer the reservation to them.
Fantastic experience: Best travel group to book Disney cruise with
Fantastic experience: We booked several vacations with dreams unlimited. There always right on top of the latest Walt Disney World and Cruiseline information as it's changing every day with covid 19 at our heels.
Negative experience: I put a placeholder with them because of their YouTube show. First agent assigned ghosted me. Had to contact the owner John (extremely nice) who moved me to another agent. Just inquired about a price for a cruise and her quote was $250 MORE than what I could book myself directly through DCL. Seeing other reviews, it seems many have had similar problems. So buyer beware! Don’t assume you are getting the lowest price even though they say it is. Unfortunately I can’t move my placeholder to another agency. I will probably just let it expire rather than give any business to a dishonest agent.
Negative experience: This is a rip-off. I booked a package for hotel and tickets for Disneyland and the ticket codes are bogus. When I try to link the tickets, Disney says they are invalid. Trying to get help or answers is like pulling teeth. Save yourself time and money. You can book hotels and purchase tickets without using a fake service that will take your money and then disappear.
Negative experience: Very poor customer service. Ironically they have very un-Disney like service. Very unprofessional.
Fantastic experience: I've booked two separate vacations with them, both WDW and a Disney Cruise. On both occasions, and after the initial booking, Disney decided to have a promotion. Without me having to ask, my agent Teresa was able to get the discount for me and lower my cost significantly. That in itself is enough reason to use Dreams Unlimited. She also has helped me in the past with moving dates around when I needed, as well as giving great travel advice in general. As for the gift basket, I should be sending them a gift basket, and I think I will!
Positive experience: I wish I had heeded these reviews. I have actually booked 2 Disney Cruises with them. The first went fine. We had a large party (5 cabins and 16 people), so I thought that was maybe why they weren't as 'professional' as I thought they would be. They are unresponsive, and only seem to care if they can get a commission out of you. We used them to book our second cruise, since we had use them due to our onboard rebooking. That cruise was cancelled due to COVID. When we went to rebook, our travel agent was not helpful at all. They really do expect you to do all the work, and then they just book the room and get their commission..
Fantastic experience: We have been planning a Disney World vacation for January 2021. Our agent Beth has been wonderful. She has done a wonderful job of keeping us posted on all the COVID related changes in the parks. I will use them for all my future Disney travel.
Negative experience: I dont know. They never returned my call.
Negative experience: They say they will do so much to help you but from my experience it was al a joke. I just tried to use them again for god know why and spent 30 mins filling out a form to be told i filled it out wrong and it was all deleted.
Negative experience: Horrible experience. We sent in the for a no obligation quote, and not only did they put a reservation in our name that prevented us from using another service or booking ourselves, their quote was substantially more than any others. We contacted them via email and phone to try and get them to release the booking, and we never heard anything back from them. I’d book a trip myself or with any other service before considering this one, that is for sure. Very disappointing, especially since you’d expect much better from one affiliated with Disney and their high standards.
Negative experience: Very unprofessional! Refused to return phone calls and caused us to lose money! I will never use this company again and I will make sure everyone knows about their poor customer relations.
Positive experience: This review is strictly in relation to Disney Cruises, not land vacations. They only book initial reservation for you, or request any changes needed on the reservation (ie: changing dinner seating). They DO not book any excursions, meet and greets, character breakfasts, adult dining reservations, port arrival time etc...the cruiser is still responsible for doing that at midnight when your booking window opens. I would also recommend calling cruise line directly after making any payment on your account (towards cruise, gratuities, onboard account etc...), since you only get a confirmation email of making a payment, but no confirmation number or amount on the email. - you want to make sure it has actually been connected to, and credited to your Disney reservation, and not just your company reservation. That being said, if you are a seasoned cruiser and comfy booking everything yourself, the onboard credit and client gift basket are nice. I agree that it IS frustrating that you can’t physically talk to anyone, it all has to be through email.
Fantastic experience: Dreams Unlimited has booked all our Disney escapes. Our agent, Kelsie, is the best! Thank you!
Negative experience: We have been calling for two weeks to transfer our place holder. They will not answer or return calls. Stay away!
Negative experience: Very difficult to get information because you CAN NOT talk to any one. If you are a first time cruiser I would NOT use this agency because they assume you know what you are doing and they offer very little service. We are experienced cruisers and used many different agencies - absolutely the worst!
Fantastic experience: Great company. Very awesome people. Love em
Positive experience: Impossible to get anyone on the phone. Just have to leave voice mails or send an email and hope someone gets it. The payment processing team also does not answer the phone or return calls. Hoping that our vacation works out the way it's supposed to.
