Tamarack Ski Resorts, Weather & Snow Report

Negative experience: Its not worth a mountainbike season pass. They have added a few trails but there is next to 0 trail maintenance. The prices went up this year, and the weekends you are able to ride have been reduced. The week after opening they will close it to archers, shortly after there is the NW cup so its shut down " they say some trails are open but go ahead and see for yourself what that actually means". They also have added another enduro race so its closed to season pass holders as well. Now we are mid July, the trails are beat, and its pretty dang hot. Luckily though they will close end of sept right at the weather gets nice. They used to stay open till Oct 11th but due to the season pass price increase, they close earlier in the season. Its become a joke. I've had a season pass for 5 years in a row but its not worth it now... don't waste your money. There is one new benefit now. They are open 7 days a week, so the lifts are running while you are at work mon- Friday hahaha. Genius

Positive experience: Not a bad place got out of the shower tho the secerity seem to think i was in the wrong place creepin. No privace . Security seem to come ever 30 mins .chill yo .. good people .the house are to close together to have fun .cool place for sure tho very hight end

Fantastic experience: The only resort that has snow activities, golf and water sports that are all in one. Lots to do if you are coming this way. Fresh powder on the mountain almost every week.

Positive experience: My family recently stayed at the Tamarack Resort for a family reunion. The accommodations were nice but pricey. We were supposed to have all our family stay in houses next to each other, but this didn't happen. Having the houses spaced out meant it was harder to get together and talk since several families had small kids. Overall we had a good experience but it could have been great...

Fantastic experience: Tamarack is fantastic and still kind of a hidden secret! We love skiing there! The runs are long, the snow is great, the staff are fun and helpful, and the village is small but awesome. And it's only going to get better with their expansion plans. Can't wait. We love Tamarack!

Negative experience: I have been to this resort 3 years in a row for several days at a time. I can honestly say this place has the facade of a nice high end resort but fails to execute on all levels. The top of lift still has no operating lodge. The yurt is poorly run and you are still relieving yourself in pit toilets. The grooming has been terrible and mostly non existent. The runs are off camber and with so many crossing cat tracks and bumps they can be frankly dangerous. To many areas that are flat or even uphill leaving newer skier and riders stuck or skating. This place has so much potential but just doesn't seem to improve or change year after year. With other resorts close by stepping up their lodges and already much better at slope grooming and at lower ticket prices. I will be skipping out on much more time here. Hoping for better in the future.

Fantastic experience: Honestly only 40% of the mountain was open but we still had a great time we don't get to come out West a lot so that might have helped but we loved going. Sure wish they had a lodge at the base of mountain though.

Positive experience: Great family resort year round! Each year, it keeps getting better with new rides or trails. Rafting, skiing, zipline, mountain biking, hiking, and cool events all the time!

Positive experience: We got stuck having our kids come with us and the bedroom and bathroom door on the lower level didn't lock! Talk about a close call! It was nice that they had a hot tub right outside the bedroom sliding glass door, which was really convenient and it was a two story house so the kids had the upstairs to themselves so there was some level of privacy. Other than the doors not locking, it was awesome! Would stay again, without kids next time, hopefully!

Negative experience: Told parking attendant that my truck was to big to park in lot...he said" that's a you problem...buy a smaller vehicle" I asked if he was serious, he said yep..not my problem. Lift ticket line at noon is over an hour wait for half day tickets for my children. Electronic kiosks for tickets dont work. Cant get truck outta parking lot to go pick them so I guess the one hour wait doesn't much matter. I could go on but dont feel like writing a book. CIRCUS!!!!

Fantastic experience: Enjoyed the best lake view on the top. The snow was great in mid December. Would go again so long as the Indy pass still be available here.
