Negative experience: 5 year member (going on 6) customer service has been horrible, my first time speaking with agent(4years ago) in regards to billing issues(aaa neglect), she starts the convo off with a condescending "I'm fresh off vacation"... Customer service has been declining ever since, unfortunately, & sounds like us policyholders are just funding "vacations" in return we get a traumatic experience

Negative experience: My family has been a loyal AAA member for over 30 years, including my two adult children. Recently, my daughter experienced a battery issue and contacted AAA for assistance. The battery in question was a AAA-branded battery and still under warranty. A contractor sent by AAA arrived, jumped the car, and told my daughter that AAA would not replace the battery because it didn’t show a “full red” reading during the test. Afterward, my daughter took her two young children to the store, but the van's dashboard indicators lit up, and the vehicle began running poorly. I had to go pick them up and bring them to safety. The next day, a reputable service department inspected the van and confirmed the battery was no longer charging correctly. They replaced the AAA battery for over $200, even though it was still under warranty. I then reached out to AAA's battery supervisor. They were professional and assured me they would investigate. I provided all necessary documentation to assist with their review. Since then, AAA has ignored my emails and has shown no interest in resolving the issue. As a result, I will no longer be using AAA for the following reasons: 1. They outsource their battery services to contractors. 2. They do not honor their battery warranty. 3. They failed to assess the situation appropriately—leaving a young woman with two toddlers stranded in a vehicle with a faulty battery that was still under warranty. 4. They have been unresponsive and uninterested in addressing the situation, I would have been satisfied with a simple acknowledgment and a commitment to review their processes. If you're considering a service to assist you when you're stranded, I recommend checking BBB reviews for AAA and researching other companies that may have a more consistent track record of positive customer experiences.

Fantastic experience: Very efficient!

Positive experience: Quiet location. Clean and well staffed. Agents seemed enthusiastic and willing to help. Got an international drivers permit for $37. $20 for permit and $15 for photos.

Positive experience: Learning g how to park an MB. That is a sha.e that AAA don't test the employees before they give them a dynamic ford rig.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding! I went to this office to simply register for TSA pre-check. The woman that greeted me could not have been more pleasant. Then the agent that processed my registration was excellent as well. She was efficient, extremely nice and actually made my visit enjoyable. Thanks to these kind folks.

Negative experience: Made an appointment online, followed gps to address given. Could not find DMV, no signs as to where it could be. I left and went back home. Found out later it was inside AAA…need a sign if two places/business share an address

Negative experience: No where says DMV!!!!! Missed appointments because supposedly THIS is DMV, same address Virginia.gov gives….yet NOTHING that says DMV location.

Fantastic experience: Every time I had to use my AAA the dispatcher always gave me an ETA but Tow Driver always came before the time I was given. GREAT JOB!

Negative experience: I really don’t know why I even pay for AAA. My wife broke down in the middle of the main road, was unfortunately impeding traffic. Waiting with a police officer for over an hour without so much as a phone call or any kind of ETA. This AAA company is discourteous and rude on the phone as well. Will def be looking into other roadside assistance.

Fantastic experience: I have to say that my agent Kristal was amazing she gave me an amazing quote and got me on the road fully covered along with renters coverage for my home all at a very great price thank you. Highly recommended

Every detail was taken care of and all documents neatly packaged. Cheryl, just didn't book a trip for me rather an eye opening adventure to cultures, people and history. From my departure out of Newport News to landing in Instanbul was flawless. The return trip was just as great. Cheryl is the guru of travel!
