Fantastic experience: My husband and I just had a baby and we knew when he was just old enough that we wanted to take him to our favorite place—Mexico!! Kareena helped us with every detail and made sure we were set up with all of my (many) requests. Nothing was missed. She was so patient on every call with me. Fantastic experience: We booked an all-inclusive stay at Playa mujeres Blanca to attend a friend's wedding and we used Pepper Munoz. He did an incredible job! I had a lot of anxiety and even more questions and he was cool, calm and collected the entire time. He helped us book our flights Reserve our room and organized transportation to and from the resort back to the hotel. I felt like we got a fantastic deal! He really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with everything. I really loved how before our take off he sent us an email that had several attachments from the itinerary, everything we needed for the transportation, our flight in a hotel confirmation and just some tips and tricks. We honestly had the best New Years experience and birthday stay of our life! Even though weather could have granted us more sun but that did not stop us from enjoying our time with the dolphins/the Mayan Ruins/swimming with the sea turtles / foam pool party /a Mayan Spa Day /incredible room service/ swimming in Cenotes and bringing a Vegas like show on the beach with a buffet to feed royalty! I cannot be more pleased with all the beautiful memories I made alongside my daughter and I for such a special occasion. Again thank you soo sooo much and we look forward to booking with you again. He creates magical experiences for his clients by putting in very special personal touches. For example, when my family traveled to Cancun for our family vacation, he asked me to send him some of my family pictures. When we got to our suite, those pictures were printed, framed and hung up on the walls in the suite already. My family was absolutely floored and amazed at his personal touches. Last year, my girlfriends and I stayed at Live Aqua in Cancun, which is now our favorite resort! He had arranged for us to be treated as VIPs and we were definitely treated as such! At every restaurant onsite, they had us on the VIP list and even the pool towel attendant recognized me by my name before I even walked up to her because she received a picture of our group from Jay before we got there. Now that's VIP treatment, right there! He just has so much knowledge, experience and CONNECTIONS (which translates to special upgrades, favors, magical stuff!) with the resorts in Cancun that he can really help you have the best experience there. I personally recommend him to all my family and friends.

Fantastic experience: Another great vacation in the books. We celebrated mine and my wife’s birthdays with three wonderful nights at the ultra-deluxe Iberostar Grand Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Once again, our trip was made possible by our travel agent (and Dream Maker), Jay at Grand Travel & Cruise. We have been booking all our Caribbean trips with Jay for over 15 years now! He treats us like we are his own family. This trip was no different. It started with me initially doing my online research, finalizing the dates, where would like to celebrate the occasion, and getting a rough estimate of the costs. Then I contacted Jay with my list and he helped me narrowed down locations based on my favorite options, previous journeys, and most importantly, my budget. The Iberostar Grand and Jamaica fit most of criteria that I wanted, and this would be our second trip to this resort because we loved it so much three years ago. Jay provided the resort with our information prior to us arriving so that our checking would be flawless (and it was). The resort manager was aware our repeat visit and went out of his way to make sure our room was decorated for the celebration; that we had a plate of our favorite tropical fruits everyday there; and that our dinner reservations were guaranteed. We even got a complimentary upgrade to an ocean view room! I know for sure Jay made that all happened. The thing about Jay and Grand Travel & Cruise is that they have an extensive, direct network of contacts throughout the Caribbean. And they have actually stayed at the resorts that they are recommending. They have first-hand experiences (good and bad) that are invaluable in my decision making. Most travel sites limit the search results to providers who are usually their highest ad purchasers. Not Jay. His recommendations are personalized from the things that are important to me and are based on his personal experiences at the resorts. And having personal direct (GM-level) contacts at the resorts allowed Jay to offer additional perks that you are not going to find on any of the travel websites. If the costs are comparable, I would rather work with a travel agent that has my interests at heart and who can insure that I get the best personalized treatment and value during my vacation. That’s Jay and his people at Grand Travel & Cruise! I highly recommend Jay and Grand Travel & Cruise to everybody. Use them, even if it’s to ask specific questions about a resort, or to do a price comparison. I recommended Jay to my friends and they all shared my similar experiences when working Jay to book their trips.

Positive experience: It seemed the agent went above and beyond and was helpful in some ways but not always up to date on specific details. If I hadn't called the cruise line myself we probably wouldn't have been able to board the ship because we were misinformed. As a customer, I also feel that the agent should have followed up after the cruise. A simple "thank you" phone call can go a long way for customer retention. I probably won't use this agency again.

Negative experience: I used them for a trip for Vegas in 2014 and all was well. Called and asked to book to Exuma, Bahamas and TONY would not even look it up! He told me we only go to Nassau, Bahamas. If I can search for this flight successfully on AA and Delta website why can’t you. I will be taking my money elsewhere from now on! Horrible customer service.

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing relaxing and care free vacation. Didn't have to worry about anything everything was already organized for me. Jay had me at El Dorado Royal and it was beautiful even had a special package with my stay and got some massages with it, the spa was too Good! Went to explore around Cancun and playa and everyone was so kind and nice to me no violence at all anywhere near. If I could have stayed longer I would have! I would highly recommend this company and going to Cancun or playa right now.

Fantastic experience: Our unforgettable vacation in Riviera Maya, Mexico, would not have been possible without Jay Islam, CEO, Grand Travel and Cruise. Jay not only met our needs, he far exceeded them. My husband and I are generally “do-it-yourself-planners”, but Jay made the process easy and seamless - nothing but smiles on our end. All the details were arranged for us from flights, transportation to and from the airport, hotel accommodations and immigration forms to fill out in advance. Jay periodically checked in with us to alleviate any questions or concerns prior to leaving as well as during our trip. He provided numerous recommendations for excursions and restaurants (and what to avoid) – all of which were amazing. Since my husband and I were celebrating our 5 year anniversary, Jay was able to include a special anniversary package that included a candlelit dinner on the beach, breakfast in bed, champagne in our room upon arrival, and other small touches that made it very special. Lomas Travel was fantastic. They were timely in picking us up from the airport and our return. We also booked an excursion through them as they had a desk at our hotel. They picked us up in the morning and took us to each of our stops that included the Mayan Ruins in Tulum, cenote, snorkeling, lunch and back to our hotel. The El Dorado Seaside Suites staff was equally friendly and helpful. Every employee greets you with a smile and “hola”. Our room was unreal - Incredibly spacious with a private balcony and infinity pool with a tranquil view of the ocean. Our fridge was stocked daily with our favorite beers and lots of bottled water. Jay went above and beyond anything we could’ve imagined and we truly felt looked after every step of the way. We would very highly recommend Jay and Grand Travel and Cruise.

Fantastic experience: Once again Jay at Grand Travel & Cruise provided my husband and I with an absolutely awesome experience – better than we imagined! Our vacation to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic was above expectation. From start to finish we were treated like royalty. The service, guides, lodgings, transportation, and travel experiences are always top notch. We leave all the planning to Jay and he never disappoints! Fantastic experience: Just got back from our really nice vacation near Playa del Carmen at Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. This is a great place for a family vacation. They have fun pools with plenty of activities for the kids, plus quieter areas if you just want to read a book. They also have secluded sea water lagoons with nice beach sand, chairs, umbrellas and services for food and drink. The restaurants all had good food without needing to make reservations. They have nightly shows in their show room or outside in large party areas. We also liked watching local bands play in atrium lobby area each night after dinner. Thanks for setting us up with such a great vacation hotel Jay and Grand Travel.

Fantastic experience: Coming from a family who's father worked for American Airlines for over 40 years...We NEVER used a travel agent. Booking my wedding back in 2011 at Barcelo Maya Palace, I knew I needed help and googled TA's familiar with the Barcelo property and I found Jay's name. I reached out and thank goodness I did! He is AMAZING! He made our trip/wedding planning a breeze for us and all our guests. Not to mention he upgraded us and all of our guests to ocean front club premium! Fast forward to now,there is not a trip that I go on without booking through Jay (I just got back from yet another "Jay trip" to Punta Cana). Everyone I encounter on vacation,friends,etc...I ALWAYS give Jay's name and contact info. He is actually booking my best friends wedding to Punta Cana next year. After a horrific experience with another travel company and her being out a couple hundred dollars, she reached out to Jay and she and her fiance were so happy with their conversation with him and trusted putting their wedding in his hands,even after just being burned. Fantastic experience: Incredible service from Jay Islam/Grand Travel & Cruise. I have booked multiple group trips with Jay and always get kind, professional A+ service. His communication is quick, precise, detailed. Most importantly he offers many options and is ALWAYS PATIENT while a group is trying to make decisions! Better yet, the group coordinator can pass on the group payment details to him...you can make all of the arrangements with him...then each person in group will contact him directly with their payment - no hassles, not necessary to see him in person - all is done via phone and email. Love it! Regardless of all the "deals" online...he can secure same great deals and carry the burden on HIS shoulders of getting it all booked for you. You cannot go wrong with a person to person booking with Jay of Grand Travel. All of your questions are answered and you will feel comfortable that all has been addressed from a seasoned traveler. Especially regarding international travel. Jay doesn't just book a ticket, take the money and disappear. He takes the "trip arrangement journey" along with you and makes sure that all is well! He will always be our preferred travel "go to guy" in a world where thousands of confusing options are available, via a click of a button with so many questions left unanswered via that route.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend using Jay Islam at Grand Travel if you are making plans to go to an all-inclusive resort in Mexico! He has personally been to most of the resorts and he can give you an honest opinion of the resorts. He has a lot of personal contacts at the resorts so he is able to get you "extras" at no cost. Using Jay gives you an advocate at the resort rather than just being an unknown guest who booked on the internet. Also, Jay can provide private transfers to and from the airport which helps make your vacation start off on the right foot. We have used Jay to stay at the Barceló Maya Palace Deluxe and Barceló Maya Beach (Riviera Maya) and we have an upcoming trip booked with him at the Iberostar Playa Mia (Puerto Vallarta area). I have recommended Jay to friends of mine and they have all had positive experiences with Jay.

Negative experience: Do NOT book a European Cruise through Grand Travel and Cruise. We had to contact Viking multiple times to get information when our travel agent would not return our emails over and over again. We tried to add a couple of days to our trip to explore Munich and we were told by Grand Travel that was not an option. I sent her the link from the Viking website that explained that option, the associated costs etc. and then we got excuse after excuse about why it would not work or was a bad idea. Their job as a travel agent is to make things like that happen and help arrange transportation and hotels, not to be an obstacle. We will never book with Grand Travel again- save yourself the hassle, take your business else where.

Fantastic experience: Jay Islam and his staff at Grand Travel & Cruise have made our vacations perfect! Jay takes all the stress out of the booking process and because of his contacts at resorts, was able to get us upgrades and VIP treatments at no extra charge! Booking our trips with Grand Travel & Cruise saved us on one trip to Jamaica where our flight was cancelled and we had to lay over unexpectedly in Miami. We called Jay and within 10 minutes he had booked us a hotel a couple of blocks from the airport, complete with free shuttle. And since we were a day late getting to our resort, Jay was able to use his contacts to get us some money back from the resort. Take the stress and the possibility of unexpected not-so-happy surprises out of your trip and book with Jay!
