Fantastic experience: UAC is an amazing social club to try new activities, make new friends and be pampered by amazing hosts! The hosts always take great care in planning and executing the events. My favorite events were weekend getaways in nature that involved lots of hiking!!

Positive experience: UAC is awesome! I have seen some social clubs that have some events organized once or twice a month, but UAC has something going on almost everyday. UAC events have good range of activities that there is something for pretty much everybody. I met so many cool people of all ages, and racial/ethic background. I even made some friends who I hang with out side of the organization. I recommend checking it out!

Fantastic experience: Had an excellent time on the Angel Island backpacking trip. We happen to go on a weekend with the strawberry harvest full moon. Ridiculous views, great hikes, and history of the island. Highly recommended!

UAC provides the opportunity to connect with others & make new & long-lasting friendships, explore all there is to do & take on fun, exciting adventures (both in-person & virtual) that is readily available to all that is willing to give it a try.

Fantastic experience: UAC has been by far one of the best experiences I’ve had since I joined last year in 2021. The most memorable event I had was on the ski trip back in Feb 2022. I was initially anxious and nervous since this was my first time skiing and snowboarding and also since I didn’t really know the others who were also attending the ski trip event. But little did I know that this weekend would be an unforgettable one, creating lasting memories whether that be cooking together, learning a difficult sport, or enjoying the hot tub together after a long day. Doing something new for the first time in an unfamiliar environment and where it’s cold, some might think it’s a daunting experience. But I think that I really learned a lot from putting myself out there and pushing myself. I would like to keep having more of these experiences and can’t wait to go on the next ski trip! At UAC, there are so many events to choose from-sporting events: baseball games, basketball games, pick up sports, hiking, wine tasting, ski trips, potlucks, bbqs, bar crawls, escape rooms, and other very cool and fun events. Everyone at this club is so welcoming, interesting, warm, kind, and friendly. I feel that attending any event is an adventure of it’s own! Shout out to all the event hosts for being super awesome and accommodating. I am looking forward to attending future events in 2023!

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience with Urban Adventure Club. Andy is super gracious and treats guests well. Most hosts are great, but some of them are not so good when it comes to communication or keeping things up to date. I have been on many events so far and plan to attend quite a few more.

Positive experience: They have a good selection of places for hikes and events. Preplanning for an event is also pretty good, and all the hosts are awesome.

Positive experience: This group seems very active. There is a good range of interests and different people join up for different activities. The hosts are active and friendly. There is a range of activities from free to expensive. I just joined recently and enjoyed the online social game night.

Positive experience: It was Avery good and fun event. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I was treated very rudely by the bouncer. As I came to the entrance, he told me that I didn’t meet their dress code. When I asked him why, he said my shoes were dirty. In fact they were brand new Calvin Klein. He only let me in when I told him I was meeting a group and asked to speak to the manager. Nina did a really great job as a host, but I will not be coming back to the venue.

Fantastic experience: One the best decisions I ever made! If you’re looking to expand your social circle, meet new people from different sectors of life or overall have a good time socializing would recommend UAC . If you suffer from social anxiety when it comes to meeting compete strangers, then don’t worry at all! Andy (founder) and event hosts are very friendly and co-operative.

I joined roughly two years ago (4th of July weekend 2020) and have made a great network of folks who like to go hiking, try new food, play tennis, watch professional sports, celebrate holidays/birthdays, and go skiing with in Tahoe

Fantastic experience: I LOVE UAC! I find their events to be authentic and well thought out. It's not just another social event thing. The company's values and intention are great and their entire vision is focused on creating great connection and friendships.

Fantastic experience: A website to meet new friends in San Francisco or the East Bay. Urban adventure club offers activities like game night, eating and drinking events as well as some outdoorsy weekend trips to help people meet in a natural way. It is relatively inexpensive and all organizers are volunteers and members themselves. If you recently moved to SF or East Bay, and are in the 20 to 50 range, you’ll find a decent choice.

Fantastic experience: My friend had told me about UAC and invited me to their virtual board games night back in January 2021. I only wish I had known about this club sooner! Why join UAC: Lots of different activities throughout the Bay Area (board games night, trivia, beach bonfire, hikes, food crawls, bar crawls, comedy, escape rooms, etc.) and a great way to meet people and make new friends. While majority of events are based in SF, there are also events in East Bay, South Bay, and North Bay, and virtual events. Through UAC, I was able to meet my karaoke and board games group and have made many friends along the way. How it differs from meetups: Because it's membership-based ($25 a month or discount with 3-month membership or annual membership), there's more incentive to be proactive and meet people. You do end up seeing familiar faces after attending a few events, especially if you share common interests. What I love about UAC: Andy is a great organizer (supportive, responsive, open to feedback, understanding), actually verifies vaccination status, and understands that people have stuff that may come up in life. Plus, majority of events are affordable with membership, ranging from free to $10 at most to sign up for. In addition to activities around the Bay Area, UAC also has weekend trips. Lots of ski trips this past winter and a Mt. Lassen trip back in July. More international trips to come (Puerto Vallarta trip, anyone?). If you're new to UAC, my advice would be to join in on an activity you enjoy and start with the smaller events so you can actually get to know people. If you're looking to make new friends and/or try new activities, come check out UAC!

Fantastic experience: I can only say amazing things about UAC! :) As long as I have known Andy, the creator of UAC, he has always been about bringing people together, striving for inclusivity, and the more diverse the group, the better. That is why when he asked if I would partner with UAC to offer yoga as a benefit for the members, I immediately said YES! Yoga is my love -- it allows me to channel and share the same beliefs as Andy's when he created UAC -- to connect the community of people of all ages, backgrounds, and interests, and bring joy, love, and unity into our surroundings. Thank you Andy for your creation and passion of bringing people together. I would highly recommend UAC for those looking to meet and to expand their horizons in all areas of their life!

Fantastic experience: Great place! Very hot day but because of canopy and shade we were ok. It’s a big park but the hike was nice. No cell phone reception. But we still found each other. Perfect place to go explore and check out if your in Watsonville area!

Fantastic experience: I joined Urban Adventures Club this past April. I have had a great time at all their events so far. Wanted to give a shout out specifically to 2 hosts - Erin and Lily, both of them went above and beyond as part of their hosting duties to make things special for me for my birthday weekend celebrations at both the SJ Giants game and bottomless mimosas events. They had a couple of nice touches added to the events. In addition, they and other event hosts make all the members at the events feel inclusive.

Fantastic experience: UAC is a great club for anyone who is single or married. Even married couples are members together! This is a social club for anyone who wants to get out and try new things or just socialize with down-to-earth people. It's a wonderful "grassroots" type organization run by Andy Huang, who is an authentic believer in the important benefits of community and healthy social interactions.

Fantastic experience: UAC has been the highlight of my COVID experience. I have gotten into hiking and weekend trips and I have met many people including some new friends. Thank you, Andy, for providing us with a way to socialize during COVID! I look forward to joining many of the indoor activities once the pandemic is over!

Fantastic experience: Making my first Google review of all time just to say you should definitely join UAC. Every event I've been to has been a blast! And I'm basically a hermit who uses the club to go outside more. I've really enjoyed attending the virtual events since COVID, meeting new people and keeping in touch with members. Andy (the founder) and his team of hosts make it super easy to try new things with minimal effort, since they research and plan everything for us. If I could make one more suggestion besides joining the club ASAP, it would be come to an event ASAP. I was so nervous before I went to my first event. I signed up for Monday Trivia since it was free, but then canceled (AKA wussed out). After signing up for a free picnic at the Presidio, I kept changing my mind about going until I finally just hopped on a bus. But everybody was so respectful and genuinely interested in hearing what I had to say. It was just chill. And that's what this club is about. It's been about two years since I joined the club, just after moving to San Francisco. I didn't know anybody, but now I see familiar faces at every club event. I'm definitely louder at SFUAC events than anywhere else (again, I'm a hermit. Oh, and I work in a library). My favorite regular event is trivia. One-off events I've also really liked were: salsa lessons/dancing, hotpot (with karaoke), Halloween party (also with karaoke), and Holi. And now I just realized I really like events with music. See? Negative experience: TL;DR This is a horribly run business. They claim to professionally organize social events for people living in San Francisco Bay Area, but this is a complete sham and is more of a hobby than a business. They should not be charging money. I signed up as a new member, but was unable to sign up for any events for a couple of days due to an issue with the website. There is no customer support available except for the owner's phone and email, so I had to call the owner 3 times just to get a response. When I finally reached him, I explained that I was unable to book on the website. He seemed annoyed that I was calling and too busy to deal with the issue - the owner often attends the events he organizes. He hastily gave me some directions on how to book on the website. I followed it but was still unable to book due to a payment processing issue. I told him this and he didn't ask any details on what was wrong with the website he just said, it's fine just go to the event without paying - I'll let the host know and we can figure out payment later. For context, the event is a gathering at an open air bar for some drinks, no special deals or organization required. I show up to the event, which is 5 hours later. There is no one at the location. I try to reach the host of the event whose only contact listed is an email - obviously no response. I call the owner who sends me to voicemail. He texts me saying he's unable to talk. I explain that I am at the address specified on the event but no one is there. He instructs me to get in touch with the host, I inform him the only contact info for her is an email. He sends me her phone number. At this point I have been waiting for 45 minutes. I call the host 2 times and she doesn't pick up, so I text her asking where everyone was. She says they arrived at the meetup location and decided to move to a different restaurant where there is more room. She shares the new location. When I show up I introduce myself to the host and everyone in the group. The host then asks me why she can't find my name on her list of attendees. I explain to her that there was an issue with the website and the owner instructed me to go to the event and the payment would be figured out later. The host seemed very unhappy about this, because "I was not on the list". She clearly did not want to let me join their multiple tables at the restaurant - a public venue. It was clear that the owner had not reached out to the host about me joining the event. I felt very taken aback by the host's rudeness and basically saying I should leave, because it didn't seem she had any real concern with me joining aside from the fact that I "wasn't on the list". Luckily everyone else at the table was very friendly (one person recognized me) and jumped into the conversation to encourage her to let me join, especially because they had several free seats. After a few minutes she agreed, but it was very awkward so I wanted to made sure that it wasn't a problem that I was joining and she assured me it was ok. After I sat down, the host left the table and I presume went to call the owner, because I received several text messages from the owner who was irate and told me that joining the event without registering for it online was not okay and that my disregard for the host's request for me to leave was unacceptable. I felt extremely unwelcome, and left the restaurant. The owner suddenly had plenty of time to talk and quickly followed up his text messages with a call. I thought maybe the owner didn't realize he was talking to the same person whom he told to go to the event without registering online. Without any attempt to understand what was happening, the owner proceeded to berate me for 10 minutes. Apparently the host had told him that I refused to leave, became hostile, and sat down at the table despite her telling me to leave. An absolute lie, which could easily be checked by asking anyone who was at the event! *continue reading in attached image*

Fantastic experience: There's no other social club like it in the city! I've built great friendships with the community and there's always something going on in the social calendar. Highly recommend if you're new in town or trying to branch out your social circle.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of UAC for about 5 years. Great group of people. Highly recommended for people new to the city as well as anyone who just want to get out and meet cool people in a comfortable environment. UAC has also done a great job of quickly creating many online events as a result of the pandemic.

Fantastic experience: I joined this social club about 3.5 years ago when I saw them going to a Warriors game. Haven't turned away since. I've had the opportunity to try new things I never thought I'd do. I've been white water rafting, backpacking, hiked the Mist Trail in Yosemite, visited New Orleans and many other activities. Through it all I got to meet new and interesting people from all over the world. I've even made some great travel buddies and adventurous friends to continue doing these types of things with on our own time. I'd recommend UAC to anyone who wants to step out of their comfort zone and try that activity you've been waiting to get off your bucket list or even to anyone just looking to meet new people and have great conversations. That's what's great about UAC, the variety of activities and people that make the experience whatever you want it to be for you.

Fantastic experience: Most of the events organized well from my previous experiences. The event organizer found a popular and exciting place well, and most of the events were conducted in small groups, which was good for promoting intimacy. I felt safe and trustworthy when I met new people in a new place because every event, a host like a guider provided transparent information, concentration for participants, care, and friendship; of course, all of the events were fun!!! Fantastic experience: I have loved all the events I've attended and all the people I've met through the club. There is a real sense of community here and everyone is friendly and welcoming. I've done so much with this club I don't know what I would do without it! If you're thinking of joining, then just do it. You won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: I had been living in the Bay for a couple years and still felt like I hadn’t developed any meaningful connections so I tried out UAC. I felt a little nervous joining because I imagined it was full of people who just moved to the area while I had been living here for a while. However, everyone was super open and welcoming, and I met a lot of people in the same boat as me. Unlike other meetups and groups, UAC has a lot of consistent members who you get to know more than just meeting random people at one time events, and I found I jived better with the personalities of folks I met. There’s so much to do in the Bay, and UAC has helped me discover new places and hobbies, like improv (which I am now in love with)! The group has become part of my community now, and I don’t know where I’d be without it.

Fantastic experience: UAC is the best social club in the Bay Area. You will find a variety of events from hikes, board games , bar crawls, picnics etc. One of the best part of UAC is the people you meet and friends you make and hey the trips to explore new places are amazing. If you are in the Bay Area then try out UAC, it's more than your money's and time's worth.

Fantastic experience: One of the reasons why I joined this club is because I wanted to travel. I’ve now been to Hawaii, New Orleans, Portland, and Mexico. Without the club that would have never happened. It can be difficult to meet people under a regular setting, but with the club, everyone knows they are going to meet new people and are more open and friendly. It makes it easier to find people who have the same interest and it’s an easy way to talk to people because we are all a part of the same club. Who doesn’t like to be in a club.

Fantastic experience: With this club I have made friends for life, such a thing is priceless.. Sure, you can get to go on pretty cool events where a host makes sure everyone and everything is ok. Sure, you get to learn about new places and adventures within San Francisco and the surrounding neighborhoods. Sure, you get lots and lots and lots of fun. Still, for me the biggest value of the club is in the people you get to meet. Meeting quality people is a true gift.

Fantastic experience: The Urban Adventure Club is the best way to make new friends or expand your social circle. I have been a member for 2 years and have met some of my closest friends through SFUAC. While there are events everyday, I mostly join the activities on the weekend and for the trips. I have had so many new experiences and fun adventures with the club including, trips for skiing, hiking, camping, and backpacking (my first time) as well as day trips for local wine tasting, white-water rafting and lazy river floats. Everything is organized for you, so it really is the easiest way to explore the bay area, and have a great time with like-minded people. The SFUAC mission is about helping people meet, connect, and develop quality relationships. This is evident in the way hosts and members welcome people into the group. There is also no age or relationship status restriction as they believe everyone has something to offer. It really has a strong community feel and I am grateful I found this group.

Fantastic experience: Great group of people to explore and enjoy what San Francisco has to offer. I have been a member for almost 5 years and have made many friends through happy hours, themed parties, lunches, dinners, concerts, and trips. The events gave me the opportunity to develop deep friendships, and the opportunity to do fun things that I normally would never consider; bounce house dodge ball, downtown nerf gun battles, and even the ballet!

Fantastic experience: You can find a little bit of anything you could be looking for. A ton of activities for just about every personality. Fantastic way to meet new friends whether it's your first day I the are or your 10th year.

Regularly puts together amazing excursions: rafting on the American River, skiing in Japan, and camping in Yosemite, just to name a few. One of the best meetups you'll find in the Bay Area.

They have something for everyone, ranging from outdoor adventures to artistic pursuits to trips abroad to urban hangouts like board game nights etc. I particularly like this group because most people are friendly and respectful, and the hosts/organizers really make an effort to get us to know each other and enjoy the events. Fantastic experience: The SF Urban Adventure Club is a wonderful group to say the least. Perfect for SF newbies but also for long term dwellers like myself looking to expand social circles. There is something brewing just about every day and evening from as simple as happy hour get togethers to more elaborate long weekend getaways to Lake tahoe and other locales. Week long out of country excursions are also available. There's something for everyone in this group. Come on board!

Fantastic experience: I've been in the club for a bit more than 3 years now, and I feel really lucky to have found it when I arrived in San Francisco. It's a perfect social club to discover new places and new people and it's also really good to discover Northern California with the weekend trips! I highly recommend it to anybody who want to discover new horizons and tries things!

Fantastic experience: UAC events are extremely well organized and also very diverse in terms of the activities that you can get to do - potlucks, road trips, food/bar crawls, hikes etc. It’s a wonderful way to explore San Francisco and make friends. Being new in a city like SF can be challenging socially but UAC opens up a gateway to building a social circle that lasts. Organizers are open to new ideas for events and there’s a solid feedback loop. The website is well designed and the calendar makes it easy to keep track of events that are weeks away, making it easy to plan. I’ve already made a few friends in my short time at the club and I look forward to attending more events and meeting more people!

Fantastic experience: Joining Urban Adventure Club was the best decision I made living in San Francisco. Not only did I meet a ton of awesome people, I made many real friendships that I'm so grateful for to this day. The people in this club are so friendly and welcoming that I felt comfortable immediately. Through the club I was able to try out new restaurants and bars, try new activities, and even travel to places on my bucket list. A premium membership in UAC will pay you back tenfold. My only mistake was not joining sooner!
