Negative experience: We have come here several times and are timeshare owners. Have raved and loved it. This weekend we were told we had a newly renovated room, the minute we walked it was awful. The new furniture is cold, staral, ugly and uncomfortable. I have to say it again UGLY. I have frozen both nights, as there is not even a comfortable comforter for the bed... I don't often write bad reviews, but this honestly felt like a joke. So sad, rethinking taking over our family timeshare after this stay..

Fantastic experience: Our experience with Alicia M. Casey during a timeshare presentation was outstanding. These types of presentations are often known for being uncomfortable, but Alicia was the complete opposite. She was professional, incredibly kind, and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire process. At no point did we feel uncomfortable or overly pressured, just respected and heard. Alicia’s warm personality and professionalism stood out, and she made what could have been a stressful experience genuinely pleasant. Although our personal financial situation doesn’t make this program the right fit for us at the moment, we walked away very impressed. If the timing were right, there’s no one we would rather work with than Alicia. Highly recommend her. She left a very positive impression on us about this resort and their program.

Negative experience: Who on earth picked out the new green chairs? Why is there no dresser in main bedroom? Very bland design of new rooms. Check in folks very nice. Concierge rude. No deals. Didn’t even offer our friends staying with me a timeshare presentation…which is fine. Also states I’m not an owner because I purchased through a 3rd party..so this is written notice of stopping yearly maintenance fees!

Negative experience: I am a new owner with Tahiti Village. At my first check-in I was offered an owner update. I signed up with the promise of a couple of gifts for my time. When I arrived, my appointment had been canceled and I was never told. Was asked to wait while they looked into this. After about 15 minutes Jesse came and talked to me. I was informed that since I was gifted the ownership I didn't qualify for the updates. I told him that was not good for them and when asked why. I started to explain the issues I have had since the transfer started. He started making excuses. I stopped him and told him it was not worth my energy to argue with him and left. Before leaving the lobby I was stopping by a gentleman that had overheard the conversation and he asked what unit I owned, I advised The Royal Tihaitian and he said that is why they told you you don't qualify, they can't upsell you. As this was not my fault I felt I should have been compt for my time and effort but they didn't feel the same. As an owner, regardless of how I got there, I am entitled to property/unit updates also. This false advertisement, their primary objective is to see more units, dont be fooled like I was. I honestly thought I was going to hear about plans for the properties/units. 8/13/2025 Update So I called Owner Services as advised in the response and was told they couldn't help I have to call owner advantage. I called and talked with a manager and of course they couldn't help. I am now in the middle of the blame game. No one wants to take responsibility for this mess. All I'm asking for is a little compensation for my time and frustration. I did what was asked of me. I took time away from my family and ended up very frustrated and left feeling like I don't matter as an owner since they can't upsell me. I think that they are under estimating certain owners worth. I have a reservation this Friday and will talk to the resort manager and see where we land. Make to look for the update, I really hope it is a positive outcome. 8/26/25 Had my stay. When I arrived on Friday left messages for 2 managers. On Sunday was at the front desk and ask again for the managers. One was busy and they took message to have her call. Monday I got a call from V, the Concierge Manager. She was very nice and acknowledged the issues and offered me a gift card. She explained somethings that helped explain. Thanks.

Negative experience: Hi, was at Tahiti village for ten days. The life guards at the pool are not very nice. One in puticur was a girl wearing white glasses. I ask how here day was going just look at me. I said to her that bad!! She does not pay attention to her surroundings. All she did was pick her nails. Also went to the life guard shack there were 8 life guards just sitting down. I ask why isn't the pool open on the north side. The response was we don't have enough life guards. WOW!!! I have been and owner since 2006. Come now who is in charge. Keep the volleyball closed until 1 or 2 Nobody starts playing until then. Open the rest of the pool. I would have fired some of the life guards. The only guard that was doing anything was Dustin.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusting and DIRTY. We just arrived. The room is old and dated and smells. Furniture is disgusting and dirty. We were told our room hasn’t been updated yet so they don’t want to bring any new furniture in. Furniture is broken. The phone doesn’t work, the microwave is broken and the room has 2 and the safe doesn’t work. I called and was told the pools/ lazy rivers were heated to 83/84. They’re not and are freezing. This is the worst resort I’ve ever been to in my life. Management couldn’t care less. Do yourself a favor and avoid this resort at all cost.

Negative experience: Somerpointe is ripping us off us as in me and my wife. We purchased an RCI membership through them because they told us we could use our points in destinations that we would like to go to, but that is not the case. The destination we chose is not available through this membership, and the reps knew where we wanted to go also to mention to make it even worse. The hotel deals are not even good. they are comparable to what you would get at Expedia or any other hotel site for discounts. Why would we pay thousands of dollars For this if we were aware, we could not use it how they said that’s gotta be illegal. Every time I try to contact owner services which they told me to speak to they will not pick up the phone and they will not return any of my calls. They are basically stealing from us Somerpointe from Tahiti Village needs to make this right and take the membership back. We don’t want it.

Negative experience: Stay Away! This is a scam. They get you to buy points or a trial of points. Then you get diverted to RCI to use those points, which will give you false info. We were told by multiple sales rep from RCI we have points rolled over til this year, but then our points expires in 2024. Management from both RCI & Somerpointe won’t do anything even though their employees tell you lies. On top of this, you have to pay fees to book your vacation even if you use your points. Not many great selection of hotels/resorts & they’re expensive, points wise. So if you add up the cost for you points & fees when you use those points, traveling is more expensive. Not worth the headache, hassle, restrictions & money up front. I’m glad we only have a trial & not stuck with this for life!

Negative experience: If you think to signing up, to this program stop, time share's speciale summerpoint are big scam, they have many hidden fees, which is to be found after you make contract, they have charging me maintenance fee, every year for no reason and reazing every year. I got vacation thru RCA which is part of sammerpoint, for 3 day I have been charged 110.00service fee, RCA is charging 72.00 if you don't travel, in order to save points. And that is automatically charged without asking. I wish I never get involved I am paying 129.00 monthly. For nothing.

Negative experience: We unfortunately made a mistake and signed up for one of timeshares about 2 years ago. The sale rep at the time told us it was a temporary membership and that once we paid off the fee in full, we'd be able to cancel it if we wanted to. I called multiple reps and verified that if I paid off the remaining balance in full, I'd be able to cancel and that I wouldn't get any additional "maintenance" fees. I spoke with Jonnie on 11/13 and she said she spoke with a manager about it and confirmed that if I paid off the balance in full, they would let me out of the temporary time share. She went on to say that they would mail me a letter stating it was cancelled. It is now 11/27 and I still haven't received a letter and my account is still not cancelled and I also received another "maintence" fee that was $58 when it was always $29 in the past. I have called several times since and no one is willing to help or follow through on anything they told be. Do yourselves a favor and don't work with this company at all. They will just lie to you and take your money. It's not worth the headache and frustration dealing with this scam of a company. Unfortunately we had to learn the hard way.

Negative experience: The presentation says the company is RCI. When I pulled up the terrible reviews, the rep said "that's not RCI's fault, it's the venue". Vague, deliberately confusing. Is it a timeshare or a vacation package? Somerpointe? RCI? WHO? If it's such a great deal, why put pressure to close "now"? Thanks for the $150 and 4 night in a sub par resort, but something too good to be true typically isn't. Have found many more negative reviews than positive. AND THEIR RESPONSE MAKES NO EFFORT TO CLARIFY.

Negative experience: Absolutely disappointed with them. I planned a surprise vacation for wife through this website and I got a timeshare at Tahiti resorts and it got approved and confirmed the stay. They called me and confirmed the stay. I did made all travel arrangements and today they called me took all the details which I gave on the website and now they told that I’m not qualified with the timeshare I was literally shocked because the same questions on website which I got approved. This is really bad and not a good way to treat clients even after making all the travel arrangements they called me to inform that I no longer will have the reservation.

Fantastic experience: Quiet, Clean, Lazy River is so nice.
Negative experience: DO NOT buy a timeshare from these people. They promise many destinations you can book with your points, but you can't book, because it requires more points than you have (e.g.15k and it takes 50k). It is hard to book since nobody picks up the phone or the points required is NOT enough. They will lie to you about fees and more fees. Their maintenance cost keeps increasing yearly and you have no say in the matter. When you call consumer services, you end up getting the run around, nobody picks up the phone or they put you on hold forever.

Fantastic experience: Love this place
Positive experience: Pretty dated and worn but a Vegas crowd is going to be rougher on properties. Had a car rental so it wasn’t too bad, but had been told the shuttle ran 24/7 on call and it doesn’t and that was a problem. Not because of my partying schedule but because I had to attend a conference early every morning.

Negative experience: It really should be ZERO stars. DO NOT WASTE your time. They take your money and run with it. They like to nickel and dime you for any rescheduling you need to do. Not very understanding so if your schedule is busy, you'll end up paying them just to take your calls. Customer support is awful as well. This company is not recommended for families. They also stereotype against single, independent MOMs. They have a rule that you HAVE TO HAVE A SPOUSE. Like a woman cant make money to afford a timeshare? Sorry not a company I want to support.

Guy was extremely rude, dismissive of our concerns, and hung up on us. If this is their level of customer service then I would avoid at all costs.

Negative experience: I've owned my timeshare for a year. I've called several times bc my points haven't shown up in my account. I still don't have my points. However, I have been charged over $1300 in HOA fees, even though it was only supposed to be a couple hundred per year. This company needs to have a class action lawsuit brought against it. Please email me if you want to sue, so we can start the process. I will also be filing actions against the Realtors involved in the sale to try to get their licenses revoked by every Association of Realtors in the country.

Negative experience: We were frauded and scamed. Do not fall for the presentation. You can not travel anywhere or anytime. They will tell you that your 15,000 points are good for 2 vacations per year. Guess what 95% of the available vacations are over 50,000 points plus you got pay a ton of money in exchange fees. Run as fast as you can from this rip off. We got scamed and lost a lot of money. Trust us just say no!
Negative experience: This resort is RUBBISH! The worst resort ever. Unprofessional reception staff. No managers, it is like an airport or like market place. Avoid this place at any cost. Las Vegas has 100s of wonderful hotels. Save your money and book somewhere else where they can appreciate you as a customer pays them money.
Negative experience: Filthy resort! Waited 3 hours for our room because the manager had to inspect it. B.S. No one inspected it. The dishes were filthy and I had to wash everything. Had to ask for potholders, dish towels, dish drainer - which I never got. They brought a pasta strainer. The dishes were a joke. One plastic tumbler, one wine glass, and a filthy glass. No matching sets of anything. No hand towels for the bathrooms. Room hadn't been vacuumed (I could see what previous guests ate because it was on the floor and chairs), and the hallways were disgusting. They left a broom, vacuum and trash outside my door for 4 days. Finally took them away, but didn't bother to use the vacuum. Other guests had similar complaints. I'll never waste my points exchanging here again. This Worst resort ever! Staff didn't care that it took 3 hours to check in or that basic things were missing. Definitely not worth the cost.

Fantastic experience: Hospitality was great. I read quite a few bad reviews prior to my arrival. I've owned there for 15 years and the only bad experience I've had was the one time furnishings were looking a little worn. Everything looked pristine this time and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Negative experience: So my wife and I attended a timeshare presentation and everything was nice and very easy going, they made promises and gave us a free stay at the resort for future use, they gave us a voucher to a free dinner. We ended up purchasing a timeshare and went on about our vacation, later that night we went to dinner only to find out they wouldn’t accept the voucher that night so whatever we paid for our dinner, that was when I became suspicious of the promises that were made during the timeshare so we went back and looked at the contract and then realized we made a huge mistake but luckily we looked into canceling laws and after carefully reading contract it states you have 5 days to cancel by certified mail and we beat it by a few hours, where my bad review comes from is when I first called the guy that answered thought it was funny saying oh your an owner now and why did you purchase something you knew nothing about, it was then when I told him I was recording as well his attitude changed and I told him I knew the law and will be sending a letter, they all know the deal and think it’s funny but please be aware of the false promises to only get you in a contact and possibly screw your credit up!!!

Negative experience: Went to a timeshare presentation at Tihiti village resort. Sells team are pushy. One old lady (guessing supervisor) got in my face not wearing a mask and told me she will not let us leave until we agreed on buying the timeshare. She was very unprofessional and rude.

Negative experience: They sold me a point package different from their timeshare presentation. The benefits of the package and what is listed on their website is not what I contracted into. They saw right through me and I had signed all the paperwork without reading it. Which certaintly was a lot. I was swindled for over 10K and have nothing to show for it. They expect us to pay the maintenance fees for their local resort for 10 years but did not disclose the other fees affiliated with their partner RCI on top of the point exchange fees I need to pay to use the points I have paid for out of pocket. I have been unable to use points because the listed destinations are not my top priority. They'll sell you on last minute resorts for an exchange but must of those are the same resorts they expect you to use your over priced points at. Their ponts program is not a savings but a debt that you have nothing to show for. They offer to cancel with in a couple days of signed contracts but refused to do so because I paid cash.. The sells people live their life on scamming people to get a commission check. They are heartless crooks. Working hard at ruining other people's financial lives. Do not sign up for their program as I was sold a point program disguised with lies and false benefits. I am serious. They sold me an apple and when it came time to use my benefits it was a useless orange. They are theives that thrive on the ignorance of unsuspecting travelers. Don't do it! Or read the fine print as their determine to sale you a Honda but give you the keys to a Toyota but you can do nothing because you signed their contracts. I learned very expensive lesson for my mistakes of trusting a lying group of what appears to be junkies they hired from the streets of Vegas. This is not for you. Do not sign contract but use their free vacation. Just don't do it. Say "NO" like they teach you in drug class in school.
Negative experience: Going to this resort was the biggest mistake I ever made. They talked me into purchasing a time share, practically forced me into it. It has been nothing but a nightmare and financial hardship for my family. Go anywhere else but here... they will scam you into buying a time share and there is no way out of it. Even during this pandemic they have no options and offer zero assistance. They keep adding late fees and threatening with ruining our credit if we don't pay. Worst experience with any company I've ever encountered.

Negative experience: Was offered a 3 night stay at Tahiti village in Las Vegas for going to a timeshare presentation. Check in was at 4pm. Arrived at 3:50 pm. Waited in line till 5pm to then be told there was no rooms available. Was told I'd be called when a room was available. Wife and I went to dinner and never received any calls. When calling Tahiti the recording said closed. Arrived back at Tahiti at 8:30 to find another line of people still waiting. Again was told still no rooms available. At 9pm I asked to cancel. I was told they would cancel it and refund my $99. Money still hasn't been refunded. Waste of 5 hours. Ended up paying for another hotel in Vegas and had a good time but will never deal with summerpoint or Tahiti again.

Negative experience: My 2018 Acura RDX was stolen from their Chateau location 30 mins. outside of Palm Springs on 8/3/19 and I was treated as if I stole my own car. Not only do I feel racially profiled because of their behavior I believe they may have been involved in the theft. The GM would not provide an incident report and when the Corp Office did it was blank. They never asked about my car or my bad experience, however, I was asked why would I think the GM accused me of stealing my own car. Where are their security cameras? 2019 and you do not have any type of security? yea right!
Negative experience: Somerpointe Resorts discriminates against single people. They only give the free stay to couples and families. I’ve complained about this before, commented on their site on FB. The ads continue to bombard my page but I’ve been blocked from commenting. There must be a way to stop the scam and the discrimination from this company that owns multiple time shares including Tahiti Village. There reviews are poor anyway so I’m not missing much. I’d love to include the picture as proof of their scam
