Fantastic experience: Truly nothing but amazing things to say about Forest Travel, and especially Michelle! My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon in Tanzania, and Michelle and her team truly planned the trip of a lifetime. Every single detail was thoughtfully handled, from flights and transfers to incredible accommodations and once in a lifetime experiences so all we had to do was show up at the airport and enjoy. Michelle made the entire process seamless and stress-free. The itinerary was perfectly curated, balancing adventure, relaxation, and romance, and it was clear how much care and expertise went into every decision. Fantastic experience: They did such an awesome job with my recent trip to Tuscany. They set us up with a gorgeous villa and a private Italian chef that made us homemade pasta everyday. My travel advisor even went to the villa personally before we got there to make sure it was up to standard. So appreciate the attention to detail, would highly recommend!

Positive experience: Update: First Travel's president responded to our complaints and resolved the issues. Our trip is planned for Sep/Oct 2019 and we will update review following our trip. Original Review: We had the worst travel agency experience ever with Forest Travel!. Last year we purchased for $7,000 a Business Class trip for 2 from the U.S. to London that Forest Travel had donated to a not-for-profit auction. Last Nov/Dec we attempted to book our air travel and we experienced great difficulty with Forest Travel. The agency was slow to return calls and emails and proposed routes were often circuitous with multiple stops and international connections were often too tight. We finally got it booked on Dec 19, 2018 only to discover today June 8, 2019 that it had been cancelled by American Airlines for non-payment by Forest Travel. American indicated that since last December, Forest Travel had repeatedly booked flights which American repeatedly cancelled for non-payment by Forest Travel. Our travel dates are Sep/Oct 2019 from the U.S. to London and back. So, with time until our trip now getting short I booked the flights today directly with American at great expense (about $12,600) in light of the Forest Travel induced delays in ticketing. We will now seek a refund of the $7,000 that we paid for the non-existant Forest Travel donated tickets. Don & Erin Chappel

Fantastic experience: Have been working with Forrest Travel, specifically Juan Lozano and others and have nothing but positive feedback. Always courteous and willing to find the best options for us. I highly recommend them and their efficient and patient ways when handling our travel arrangements.

Negative experience: Not the most efficient way to book a luxury vacation, you’re better off just putting the intricate details together independently. When calling agents, they either don’t answer, don’t respond in a timely manner (for my case they left a number out of my email so I never received any information nor a follow up call), or transfer you around until someone decides to help. I do have to say Santiago did save the day and assist but if you don’t work with him, just do it alone. Unfortunately, due to all the miscommunication on their end I ended up creating my own intinerary and just did my own research to create my 3 day trip. I guess I saved a couple bucks too.

Fantastic experience: It was honestly a pleasure working with this travel agency, specially with our agent Alfredo who took great care of me & my family. He is super dedicated to what he does. The whole process was really always quick and easy. I highly recommend using them for personal/corporate travel.

When we got to the hotel, we received an upgrade and amazing amenities due to the fact that the agency has awesome partnerships with most properties. Fantastic experience: Dana Herzberg at Forest Travel planned our honeymoon to Seychelles and South Africa. This is the way to travel! Pick ups and drop offs at hotels and airports were arranged. We received multiple perks throughout our trip. Currently planning Laos, Cambodia, and Chiang Mai with an entry in Hong Kong - Dana & Forest are taking care of it!!

Fantastic experience: I have been working with David for quite few years now, he is always so approachable and attentive, on my last trip I went to Japan so David took care of all my needs from the beginning, he explained everything about Japan since the currency exchange, weather and activities to do all over the country. I usually fly business class and so he got me an amzing deal with AA with almost 40% discount of what I was watching online. The hotels were picked by him since I had no previous experience in Japan, the hotels were amazing and on top of that I had extra amenities, I got upgraded on my arrival , early check in since I arrived from USA and brekfast included!... thanks David for everything and talk to you soon!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I had a destination wedding in Miami this past April and used Forest Travel for our hotel room blocks. We had 2 hotels across the street from each other and about 100 guests - and some with particular needs. Aurora and her team were incredibly helpful and responsive the entire time. I would use this service for personal travel...they are that good. We can't thank them enough for making this part of our wedding so seamless!

I had to co-ordinate several family members and dates of travel in and out of the country and he was very courteous and prompt in answering all of my questions. Fantastic experience: Regarding Steve Gulko: We cannot say it enough: “Thank you for all you do.” On January 25, 2014, we had planned to be in Miami by 10:45 a.m. This would give us plenty of time to board the Celebrity Reflection. Got up early to get to the airport – no problems. We boarded our flight and were then told we would have to de-board the aircraft. There were problems with the aircraft. That’s when “all hell broke loose”. We proceeded to jump through hoops, on the phone with Delta, to get booked on the next flight out to Atlanta. We did get on the next flight, but by the time we got to Atlanta, our connecting flight was in take-off mode. We came in at concourse B, and found that we had to go to concourse F for the next flight to Miami. I knew Frank could not walk that far, so grabbed a stranded wheel chair and away we went to “F “, wondering all the time why we were going out of that concourse as it is normally an international concourse. A few minutes before boarding, we found that the gate had been changed, and we were now rushing to the train to get to concourse “A” before the flight left. Whew! We made it. Now the problem was that at best, when we got to Miami, we would have 45 minutes or so to get to baggage claim, get our luggage (you know how slow that can go at times), get a taxi and get to the ship. You can imagine my joy when there was a celebrity representative waiting as we exited the plane. She said, “Do not worry; we are collecting your bags as we speak and we have transportation to the ship. Relax and let us take care of you”. We knew that you had taken care of us. We are very grateful to you for “handling” the situation for us. You truly are a professional. By the way, the room was terrific, the service was immaculate, the ship was awesome, and the music on the ship was wonderful. I did fill out the CIS survey and acknowledged the representative from the airport and the RCCL representative who found our baggage, and the stateroom attendant and butler who took such wonderful care of us to make our trip one of the best cruises. Fantastic experience: We have used Forest Travel agent Steve Steve Gulko. He has been the best travel agent we have ever used. He always takes care of our travel needs, including details that most agents leave for the customer to do. Example--On our last cruise I was having problems getting in & out of the bathtub/shower. I contacted Steve, before the day was done, he got our caben changed to an accessible cabins on out next two cruises that we have scheduled with him. Every contact we have had with Steve has been 5 STAR all the way. This is why, for our travel needs, we will always use Steve Gulko.. .

Fantastic experience: I went on a wonderful group cruise with my family and friends for my sister's special b'day and I must say that our travel agent, Shaun D'Arcy was exceptional in organizing everything in detail for everyone. We booked ten individual cabins with some being balcony and some interior and he was able to make sure that we were all on the same floor and very close to each other. We all really appreciated this detail. We were all given coupons and discounts for stuff on the ship and then was also given advice on the various ports of call that we visited. I was very impressed with Shaun's professionalism and his wonderful kindness extended to us all. Fantastic experience: I met Liora through a family member. I think she was God sent. She is definitely the best travel agent I ever met. She is an expert in cruises and she sent us to Europe to amazing hotels. We went twice to the Florida Keys to an amazing hotel she reccomended. Every time we arrive to our destination we are treated like royalty thanks to Liora arrangements. She even found me a seat in a fully booked flight!! She is extremely responsible and diligent. She always answer my calls and my emails. Liora is amazing!!!

Fantastic experience: Mary Jane Miranda is a god send. My family and I recently had the greatest trip to Athens and the Greek Islands. We were very particular in our requests and MJ took care of everything and gave us options a long the way. We had the greatest service from Hydrofoils to airport transfers, etc. Our trip was to end in Istanbul, but due to the issues their, we changed everything to Rome at the last minute. MJ was able to book us airline tickets, hotel, etc at a limited added cost and did so with enthusiasm and a tremendous attitude. We will never do another trip like this without using Mary Jane and Forest Travel. Thanks to all involved.

Negative experience: I'm not sure if I hate this travel agency or all travel agencies. Ramon was nice on the phone- but never followed up. I had to call HIM back in order to ensure he actually booked my flight and get updates on price changes. Now that I think about it- hes yet to call me back...ever. I'm not sure what the customer service mantra is here, but regardless of language quality business practices are the same worldwide. If I want to know something, let me know that day. And if you can't tell me, let me know when you'll have an answer. If you drag your feet don't expect me to pay the price- you'll pay it in lost business- that's a guarantee. UPDATE- 1 year later. I was recently contacted by a rep hoping to 'change my mind' about this company by offering a discounted price due to my poor review. Since this contact, new reviews have been created (I'm looking at you Mike Anderson). Maybe there was a management change recently and they are looking to create a new positive image. They may actually be providing some better service a year later. Too little too late for my $. Welcome to the 21st century Forest Travel.
