Fantastic experience: The vacation experience was awesome! Melissa chose a fantastic property in Aruba for us (and we were given the most heavenly room!) The ease of transfers from the airport to resort and back to the airport was great - and the add on "Baby Beach Jeep Experience" was a highlight of our trip! We loved the people of the island and didn't venture off the resort to eat as the buffet at Riu Antillas Aruba was incredible every night. We did several excursions (Donkey Sanctuary, Butterfly Farm, Baby Beach Jeep Tour, Alto Vista Winery and Turtle Snorkeling). All were wonderful and would highly recommend them. It was a pleasure working with Melissa as she listened to our concerns and our wishlist and made it all happen! We hope to do it again in the future!

Fantastic experience: his was our first time using a travel agent for our vacation with our best friends. Melissa took the time to listen to our needs and provided us with just the right amount of options to choose from. We went with an all Inclusive Resort in Aruba and we couldn't be happier. Melissa got us into the best rooms at the resort. The food, wine, and cocktails at the resort were amazing and each day we had the option accessing all the island had to offer or to just hang out in our Palapa on the beach. I am so happy we found Melissa and we will certainly be using her again in the future for our travel needs. She took the stress out of our travel as much as possible and that is exactly what we were looking for in a travel agent. Negative experience: I used this agency because this was destination wedding and the bride asked that we use this agency. The only part of the trip I was really concerned about was the transportation to and from the airport. It took us an hour to find our ride to the airport when we arrived and on the way back there was no ride at all! I was told by the travel agent that I could provide a receipt and she would “see if there is anything she could do”. I had asked for her to confirm that our ride to the airport pick us up at 9am. What I got was an email with the pickup times of everyone in the party and our pickup time was not 9am on the email. Unfortunately, Cancún taxi drivers do not provide receipts. Also, a member of our party was incorrectly booked through (Friday instead of Saturday) which cost our family member to pay several hundred dollars out of pocket to stay one more night. This is because the wrong itinerary was sent to this family member. All I would like is to be reimbursed for the ride to the airport that we pre paid for. That issue could be related to the transportation vendor but that vendor is who the travel agency decided to use and part of the total cost of the trip. I would be more than happy to edit the review to 5 stars if our party was refunded the cost of our return trip to the airport which was $150. I have a feeling that the travel agent is just going to respond with something nasty as they tend to do with any review that is not 5 stars. I hope they are professional in their response and offer a refund for the ride to the airport. I guess I will have to wait and see. UPDATE: Anyone who is reading this review can clearly see how unprofessional and incompetent this agent is. I edited my original review because I felt I was too harsh in my review. She just sent our entire traveling group an insulting email regarding our request for compensation for the $150 that we were out of pocket because of her lack of ability to communicate with the transportation company. I am not seeking reimbursement anymore though since I feel that leaving a honest review of this agent is more than any monetary compensation I could possibly receive. Anyone seeking a travel agent..please read the replies this agent has left to anyone who has gave a negative review. A “real” travel agency would professionally and respectfully try and address the issues rather than blame the traveler in every instance.

Fantastic experience: I am beyond pleased with all the time and attention Melissa and Hal provided in the planning and preparation for a trip to London with my grandson. Emails and phone calls were answered thoroughly, patiently and timely. Everything was explained in detail and there were no surprises. It was an enormous comfort to know they had our backs for any possible issue while we were away. We have wonderful memories of London, and a day trip to Paris, that will last a lifetime.

Negative experience: I’m not one to really ever leave a bad review online, but In hopes to save another future customer from making the same mistake we did. Do not use this service. So many members of our party we given misinformation and shelled out a ton of money fixing the mistakes in our trip and it’s booking. Communication is key when traveling internationally. If your company can’t handle a negative review, I suggest fixing the problem or staying out of the customer service industry entirely. By all of the responses I see left under not so shining (but honest) reviews, I think this company’s answers to the problems they’ve created speak for themselves. Do not recommend whatsoever- But excitedly await the subsequent bashing from the travel agent herself in response. Update: As to be expected, your response lacked class and professionalism. Shocking.

Fantastic experience: Shirley's attention to detail and knowledge base in planning a European cruise are second to none. From transfers, to hotel reservations, to planning fantastic excursions, to travel tips while on and off the ship, Shirley was thorough and meticulous, while still giving us so many options so we could truly craft the family vacation of our dreams. She was available the whole time in case we ran into any issues (we did not), despite the fact that she was on a vacation of her own. We are so grateful for these lifelong family memories and can't wait to book our next Dream Vacation with Shirley's expert assistance!

Positive experience: We recently used Dream Vacations as part of a destination wedding group. I've used a travel agent from a different company in Middletown (he has since retired) and it was a really great experience. As part of the wedding group, I was told that I could not book the trip independently but instead I needed to use Dream Vacations. I came back with mixed results. Positives- Dream Vacations booked the hotel room for us as well as transportation to/from the airport. We had a bit of a mix-up locating the shuttle service during our arrival but we made it. They were initially pretty responsive to emails. Initially. Dreams handled all payments and the check-in at the hotel was fine. Cons- Lack of communication after we paid the initial deposit. I've sent over email questions that were ignored or answered very late. We were given very limited details on the trip (no info on excursions, things to do) and travel documents were sent 1 day before the actual trip. 1 day. The lack of communication came to a head when the entire wedding party was given different departure times from the resort to the airport. I was assigned a 12:30pm pick-up to make a 1:55pm international flight. We all ended up taking a financial hit and spent $120 on a taxi...even though we pre-paid for a private shuttle. I just left wanting more. When I previously used a travel agent, I was given binders of activities, my e docs were sent weeks before, and telephone check-ins were made periodically before and while we were at the destination. None of that happened here. I appreciate the handling of logistics but I do feel like better communication would go a long way.

Fantastic experience: This was hands down the BEST experience my husband and myself have had with any travel agent and trip experience. I can't even thank Melissa enough for all her hard work that she put into making my 50th Birthday trip the most memorable. From the planning, flights, top notch transfer service that was provided by her and for all the other small details that made this trip absolutely perfect! When I walked into our room the day of my birthday I realized just how much Melissa paid attention to detail. Room was completely decorated ,champagne in the fridge with chocolate covered strawberries amongst other things. Fantastic experience: Melissa Stolz.....SIMPLY THE BEST...! This past week has been the perfect example of why having the RIGHT travel agent is so very important. And without a doubt, Melissa is absolutely the RIGHT travel agent! True story: Our son and daughter in law, with the help of Melissa, have spent months planning their perfect Barbados honeymoon. COVID however, has no concern for the best laid plans, and sure enough, both kids tested positive with only ten days left before the planned departure. Naturally, we all expected that the honeymoon would have to be rescheduled, and thankfully, Melissa had booked them into a package that allowed last minute changes. Still, the kids were so very disappointed. Our daughter in law is a teacher and only able to travel during school break. It looked like they would have to reschedule for June/July .... hurricane months in the Caribbean. Enter Melissa to save the day! Melissa was in touch with the Barbados authority and able to direct the kids on exactly what would be needed for them to be allowed access into Barbados. It was an insane week, but with Melissa's guidance, the kids were able to secure copies of their original COVID positive results, official isolation release orders from their County, and MD notes confirming they were recovered from COVID, currently asymptomatic and fit for travel. The last step was a rapid PCR which Barbados requires to be done one day before arrival in their country. Our son's results continued to show "detected". Another worry! However, all indication was that, because of the required "COVID recovery" documentation, arrival in Barbados should go smoothly. Being allowed to board the plane in Newark was another concern. Were the JetBlue staff well versed on all the Barbados considerations for the COVID recovered? Yesterday was travel day and the day we witnessed first hand, the extent to which Melissa goes above and beyond for her clients! Melissa was on the phone with kids before 7:30am, confirming what needed to be done and even talking them thru the continued flight delay notifications coming in from JetBlue. Melissa continued to be in touch through the day, checking in on updates from the kids, and even sent us a link for the parents to follow their flight. It was a VERY long day, which continued into a long evening. Melissa was in continued communication right up until 8:30pm when we finally had confirmation that, thanks to HER guidance, the kids passed all hurdles and were settled into their resort! The kids checked in today. They tell us that everything is amazing, their resort is gorgeous, service impeccable and they are so very grateful for Melissa helping to make this very special trip a reality, despite the odds against it. Thanks Melissa! PS. Admittedly, over the years, we have booked numerous vacations independently. However, the world has changed. We have seen first hand, and not just in the above instance, the importance of having a trusted travel professional in your corner. The Chorba Family ... clients for life.

Once there was a price drop after final payment and she managed to obtain an upgrade for me for no extra dollars even though i had booked the cheapest inside cabin available. I have also met Melissa in person and once traveled with her - she is not only efficient but also a LOT of fun. All of my travel friends book with Melissa. Her response time is rapid! When you book with a cruise line rep you are on hold forever and God forbid you might need additional info - you can forget being able to take advantage of a price drop or even asking a question.
