Fantastic experience: Went in to obtain an international driving permit. Walked in and was immediately assisted. Friendly staff and quick service. I was in/out in less than 10 minutes.

Negative experience: Be careful when your son turns 15 Years, even if he doesn't drive like mine, they say “ we sent you a letter with a questionnaire about your son” that I never received and they also have no proof of mailing, that's why they didn't send me the renewal and then they illegally canceled the policy without notice by mail, email, phone call. They said they couldn't do anything we have to make a new policy. My last policy was $ 4,634 annually and the renewal will be the same for two cars and they raised it to $ 7,542.I feel forced to pay the new rate because I don't like drive without insurance and don't have other options, they gave me hope for a favorable resolution, after two weeks without a response I went to the Allen TX office to speak with the manager to see if she had an answer and she didn't attend to me, the next day she called me and said she couldn't do anything because more than 30 days had passed, the next day I went to the office and canceled after having AAA for 22 years the policy on my cars and my home as well. After canceling, I received an email saying they con reinstate my previous policy. Thanks, but I lost trust and credibility and State Farm provided me with better coverage, price and service.

Fantastic experience: Date: 15th Aug. 2025 I visited this location for International Driving Permit (IDP). My experience was very good. Staff helped me well with all I needed. As I didn't took passport photo with me, they charged me $17 for one photo which they needed. Please plan in advance to avoid getting charged way much. It took me 15 minutes to get IDP done, overall process was seamless. Thank you for your service.

Negative experience: If I am calling your store it is because I want to speak with a real person. I don't appreciate being transferred to an automated system by the receptionist. I'm asking for an insurance declaration page and it wants to send me proof of insurance cards. These are not the same thing

Negative experience: I'm giving up on AAA and not renewing my overly expensive roadside coverage. For a family of 6 it was going to be $415. But then I remembered the last 3 times my children called AAA for towing and roadside service, a AAA truck NEVER SHOWED UP ON ALL 3 calls. One call even put my son in danger of his life as he had to spend the night in his truck on I-35 all night before a different tow company came. You can use AAA for maybe printing maps or something but DO NOT RELY ON THEM FOR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. They will almost always let you down. I would give zero stars but I guess you have to select one star to submit this form.

Negative experience: SUSAN WILDS is just a rude and helpless individual. Called for help and kept interrupting me during our conversation. Never helped in anyway and transferred me to a virtual agent instead. This is just not a professional way to do business. Poor customer service. Really sad. If you are not happy with your job find something else. Spoke with the manager Brenda. Hope she can handle the situation and train and educate the agents at this location.

Negative experience: Insurance department: Nothing short of horrible. The only reason there is one star is because you can not post comments without a star. No follow thru by agent or manager. I never got a policy for which I paid for June 2024 and this is Sept. Many calls to the Allen branch went unanswered. Spoke with Ins. Manager Vrenda in Aug 2024 and she assured me we did have an active 2M Umbrella policy. I asked for a copy of her screen and she said she could not give it to me. She said the policy was stuck in underwritting. She NEVER got back to me. Calling the Allen Branch is a joke....they don't answer or will answer and hang up. I called customer service and they show this policy was cancelled 8/28/24. So, I have paid for a product and they cancelled it with zero notice to me and they have my money. Customer service promised on 9/6 that she would get back to me no later the 9/10/24 with a resolution. Today 9/13 no call. Today's call to Customer Serice, this rep same story I asked to esculate to a manager and was on hold 35 mins. with her checking in to say she couldn't get anyone to help her. Interesting, even in their own orginazation they can't get answers! This is my first year with AAA insurance. I have my home, cars and (I thought) Unbrella policies with them. I have lost confidence in them and can only imagine what whould happen if I had to count on them for a claim. My next call is to the insurance commission.

Negative experience: I currently switch from AAA where I had 10 years of membership to State Farm just because this Jason or John ( whatsoever your name is) couldn’t explain an increasing $800 on my auto insurance and also insulting me during the process.

Fantastic experience: I've been a AAA member for many years and feel blessed to be so. This was the first visit to the Allen location and the staff was great. My wife and I had notary and insurance business to take care of which Sue and Marsha helped us with (very friendly and helpful) and to top off the visit we took passport pictures. Great location and great team.

Negative experience: Started policy one day, wasn't happy compared to previous policy with another agency so I cancelled very next day with AAA but they charged me$111. I didn't know it for a whole year when my credit rating went down due to a late payment. I'm upset to say the least! Now I have to contact contact contact with my precious time to try and fix THEIR mistake!

Negative experience: Very very very ...bad service of the manger Matthew Kinnon and Kelsey. Don't go to this branch, try some others. The way they always do is to give you a low premium, and then after several months, they will cancel ur policy because of your drving history. No replies through phone and emails all the time. And even worse fake my number on my policy.

Fantastic experience: I came here to get an International Driving Permit (IDP). I was happy with the customer service and service time. It took 5 mins to walk out with my IDP. They can take the passport photos for you if needed ($16 extra for a pair) which was handy. The forms are also available at the location. (I'd recommend printing and filling out the forms before hand to save time.)

Fantastic experience: Great experience with the Allen location! I have been working with Kelsey who has been nothing short of responsive & informative. It’s been a very easy and preferable transation after using Geico for 3+ years. Kelsey helped me find the best insurance to fit my needs. I also recently moved and she was able to get me the coverage i needed for a very affordable rate and was able to process my move and have all the documentation i needed in the same day! 10/10 would recommend. I look forward to many years of service working with AAA and Kelsey!

Fantastic experience: Initially a little hesitant to switch from my prior insurance provider, as I had been with the same agent for over 10 years. But my decision has been rewarded with far more than lower premiums. My agent, Ms. Kelsey P., pays more attention to detail than just about anyone I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with. The entire Allen staff is wonderfully helpful, but I feel like the family has gained a close friend when it comes to Kelsey. No matter how minor the concern or what time of day or night, she never seems bothered by us or too busy to give us her undivided attention. I might add that I enjoy her balance of humor and professionalism as well! Hard to imagine anyone outperforming the AAA Allen staff!

Negative experience: This was my first experience with AAA and I regret that I ever opted AAA over Statefarm. It all started 15 days after my insurance start date. I received a mail saying my premium was reduced by around 300$ and in the same envelope there was another mail saying my insurance was cancelled. I was confused on what was true. I tried to reach my agent Kelsey but as usual she never picks up my call. After trying hard I was able to reach out to her. She confirmed my insurance was cancelled due to my driving history. I immediately went back to statefarm and they were happy to have me back. I was told by them that a refund check will be issued but it has been more than a month and I never received my check. I tried to reach Kelsey many number of times but she never picks up. I requested to cancel my AAA membership as I no longer need it because I don't have insurance from AAA but she didn't even respond to that. Still waiting for my check.

Fantastic experience: AAA has so many benefits... It pays to check with them first...I had my passport pictures taken which cost me $18 and because I'm a premier member at AAA I could have had them done for free... I went in to acquire my international driver's license and thought I would have to send it off but got it while I was standing there... Awesome awesome services highly recommend

Negative experience: AAA Insurance gave me the highest quote out of the three other insurance companies that I contacted they were literally $1,200 higher than the insurance that I selected which was Liberty Mutual auto insurance shame on AAA

Negative experience: I've been a AAA Member for 17-years. As a single senior, I depend on the roadside service to give me peace of mind when I'm on the road. I also have an insurance policy with AAA. Over the years, I've also ordered city and state maps to help me with travel plans as well as to acclimate myself to new communities after a move. As a relatively new McKinney resident, I called the Allen office today to request that several Collin County street/city and state maps be mailed to me, a service I've been accustomed to over these past 17 years as I've relocated to five states. Imagine my surprise when I received a call from "Sue" who informed me that, "...we don't typically mail maps to members who live close to an office.We prefer they come in to pick them up."" When I told her that I have been receiving maps in the mail for years, and that I am a senior who doesn't drive much, she didn't budge. "We don't typically mail maps when a member lives nearby" she repeated. Well, to whoever owns/manages the Allen office, I don't "typically" go online and post negative one-star reviews, but as a longtime paying customer, this complete lack of customer service has left a very poor taste in my mouth.
