Fantastic experience: Absolutely, beautiful area...well, maintained... one of the best camping trips in years...

Negative experience: Weeds around RV sites are terrible I wouldn’t let the grandkids come down because ticks are bad and don’t want them around the tall weeds Poison ivy is growing around because of poor maintenance up keep I had ask twice if someone could cut them twice Trash laying around the lake Beach area is not open it is closed off and this is the middle of June I have stayed up here for the last 5 years But the last couples has been bad If this is still open 2 years from now it will amaze me And if you go online and try to book it is not updated what sites are open And if you need to cancel after booking there is no refund I tried to cancel 2 weeks out It’s a shame this place has gone down so bad We’ll I guess state side if you can catch a site open. This is where everyone is going now

Negative experience: RV section was horrible. Grass had not been cut, cannot get off gravel section at camper site. Couldn’t use picnic table because grass was so high. Made staff aware of this, no action was taken. We left early due to conditions and were told they give no refunds. Not a good experience at all, money wasted.

Positive experience: The people that have taken over LC park don't know how to run a campground. Not only did they cut a road through the middle of the tent camping area they have now decided to close the park for the entire month of October to campers just because of the "haunted hayride". That's the reason we camped there in October was to watch the hayride and the halloween festivities for the week. Not to mention the security dude that tells everyone to hush at 10pm. This place is worse than Fallsburg now.

Fantastic experience: Nice Park. Lake connects to Yatesville state park Lake. Good size. Cheap Kayaking and swimming.

Fantastic experience: Great campground, roomy spots, well maintained. Everyone that works are super friendly and helpful, they are definitely dog friendly, they enjoyed Lizzie every time we stopped at the office....recommend to everyone that enjoys being in a true country setting.

Fantastic experience: Easy access to swimming beach, playground, kayaking, and fishing.

Positive experience: If you like off the grid. You are the right place. it make no sense they don't have wifi one cabins but they got satellite t.v on the cabins. It will be lot cheaper if get rid of satellite. And replace cables. They got Foot Hills. Only place they got is lake and mini golf. It was nice, if was thunder stomach came. They say more that all I see. They put brochure either at the office or in the cabins. But it nice place and clean.

Fantastic experience: Staff was great and allowed us to drive thru and we really liked the camping areas (both tent and cabins). The lake was really low at the time, but we saw deer. The tent sites looked good.

Fantastic experience: Lawrence county lake is the most beautiful lake in Kentucky.. IN MY OPINION... COUNTY SIDE IS THE MOST CLEANSED AND WELL KEPT. NICE CABINS LOTS OF TENT SITES OPEN SPACE AND GOOD FISHING AREA......

Negative experience: First of all its a very clean campground and the camping spots are roomy and nice! Now I will list the reasons for my very poor rating! Number 1 on my list the lake is so over fished Forget about catching anything we used 6 different kinds of bait to include liver nightcrawlers Shad Bluegill mini bass minnows cheesebait many many lures not one bite ever and even worse our minnow traps empty this is by far the worst fishing I have ever experienced anywhere the Ohio river is way better if that tells you anything. Number two pray you don't have to use the bathroom during your trip unless you want to vomit by walking into their out houses that are full yes full travesty serious travesty. Number 3 no grills and very unfriendly night watchman who insisted on 10 o'clock curfew quiet time my response was are you serious were here to camp but we got to go to bed at 10 totally hilarious l will never go here again we left early because terrible terrible fishing and rules and restroom facilities.

Fantastic experience: Amazing place! The campgrounds are spaced out perfectly so your not right on top of each other, the lake is amazing they even have a small beach to swim in, there's a little shop for snacks or to rent a paddle boat. In all we went twice this year and it was amazing! 100% going again next year, would recommend for anyone, any age can enjoy this campground.

Fantastic experience: We decided to go there last minute. The lady that does the scheduling was AMAZING at getting us in! She stayed over and wai for us and was so very helpful. The park was spotless and beautiful! We stayed in a tent near the water. Never had one negative issue. We will most definitely return. Thanks park staff!

Negative experience: Would not recommend renting from Lawrence county cabins!! Awful experience and horrible customer service!!! Park management will steal your stuff from your cabin and throw everything in the dumpster when you’re not there! Brand new life jacket we just bought our son, his floaties and a few other stuff was thrown away from our cabin. Management would not do anything even though they admitted to doing it! We even have the pictures for proof! Will NEVER rent from them again!! Terrible experience and customer service!!

Positive experience: Nice place. We scheduled our family reunion and reserved a shelter. They actually made sure it was us in the shelter. They were clean. Trash can provided. All in all a nice place to go

Fantastic experience: Nice campground right beside the lake with 12 sites for tents. They're spread out so you're not right on top of each other. Bring your kayak, rods and swim suit the water is literally right there next to campsites. There is also a well-maintained sandy beach for public swimming. RV camping is available on the ridge surrounded by a hardwood forest. If you would prefer modern lodging there are also 12, 1 to 4 bedroom cabins scattered throughout the park, each with a fully-equipped kitchen plus a fire pit outside My only complaint is a shoddy bathhouse with unpainted block walls, overall dirty appearance and dimly lit. For $3 you can take a shower at a modern clean bath house at the adjacent Yatesville Lake State Park campground.

Fantastic experience: My family and I come here several times a yr for the last couple of years...and we all enjoy everything about this park....you just have so much to do witb the kids...my children are 6, 5, and 3 they get so excited when we tell em we are going camping because one loves to swim , another loves fishing and the youngest loves to explore the hiking trails . So there is basically something to enjoy for everyone in the family.....thanks guys this place is absolutely amazing. ..
