Fantastic experience: I worked with one of Rainforest Cruises' travel specialists, Remi Van Doorn and it was a very pleasant experience. Remi made invaluable recommendations and enhancements to my tentative itinerary and the resulting vacation was truly one of the most enjoyable and memorable that my wife and I ever had! The itinerary proposed was personalised for my wife and I, and we were well taken care of, every step of the way. Their partners on the ground (in Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls and Amazon River) were very professional and went out of their way to make sure that everything goes smoothly. If you are planning for a trip to South America, you can't go wrong with Rainforest Cruises.

Fantastic experience: Rainforest Cruises did a great job helping us with our 10 day Peru adventure combining an Amazon cruise with tours of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. Remi was our contact at Rainforest and was terrific. He was always responsive to our questions and requirements and set up the perfect itinerary for us. The tours were great, and the guides/drivers really took care of us - everything ran smoothly on time, and they packed a lot into each day, providing thoughtful and informative commentary, and information on the sites and history of Peru. The 3 night Amazon cruise was also a highlight, with all of our needs looked after on the Zafiro - great staff and guides there as well. I have no hesitation recommending Rainforest to organize your trip to Peru - we were able to see and experience much more than we would have been able to do ourselves over a 10 day trip, and the end result was a very memorable holiday.

Fantastic experience: The crew aboard Samara I were kind, professional, informative and welcoming. The accommodations were exceptional and the food delicious. We spent 4D/3N around Komodo NP beginning in Labuan Bajo. We stayed in the main deck on the back of the boat which had both privacy and shade from the sun. The snorkeling was great and the chance to stretch your legs on land (very short hikes) was helpful. We were very lucky to have three other couples on the boat who were pleasant, kind, and fun. The photographer joined us in the water, on hikes, and even drone shots on occasion. The pictures are better than what I took and memorable. We are very thankful!

Fantastic experience: Our trip aboard the Tucano was everything we hoped and more. Remi was timely and thorough when responding to our many questions about the boat and itinerary and the crew onboard the Tucano was clearly carefully selected. Everyone who worked on the boat clearly took their role seriously and cared about the rainforest. Our guides, Souza and Osmar, knew the forest well and shared their knowledge liberally. The food was delicious and fueled us for each day of full adventure (we brought snacks on board and never touched them). The stars at night are amazing and the visits to local homesteads were memorable. The cabins and beds were sparkling clean and comfortable; I feel asleep every night the second my head hit the pillow. You will interact with everyone on the boat during your trip (each one of them has multiple responsibilities) and they will all make you smile. I'm glad I brought some small gifts from home to share, because by the time the week was over I felt as if I were leaving new friends and it pleased me to leave each of them something to remember us by. We will never ever forget this week of our lives. Everyone in our group agrees it exceeded every expectation. You'll see in the photos a list of all the wildlife we saw on the trip (the guides add to it at the end of each day!). I'll add that I had a small injury ashore and the guides and crew acted swiftly - I never worried for a second whether I was getting the best care. For those who (like me) need some packing help or details on the cabins: there are outlets next to each bed in each cabin (we chartered as a group so I got to explore them all) and are mostly North American outlets, though there are some EU outlets here and there. There are no closets or dressers (cabin #0 on the top deck has two very big drawers built in under the bed - each one has the volume of a carry-on suitcase) but there are plenty of shelves in each cabin as well as several hooks and ample under-bed storage. Wet clothes are usually hung on the top deck in the lounge area and will dry in half a day. I could write 10x more about this trip and how amazing it was, but I will just say THANK YOU to Remi and everyone aboard the Tucano, as well as its ownership/management team - it was all perfect!

Positive experience: Overall a very positive experience. Everything was on time, from excursions to dining to entertainment. Guides were very helpful and engaging. Food was good. The one big negative was the ship does not really go very far, nor cruise around much. One very enjoyable thing about river cruising is watching the river, shore, and everything that comes with that as you are sailing. This ship was anchored a lot of the time. The experience was very positive, and can recommend this cruise. Remi, our tour advisor, was most helpful and always available.

Fantastic experience: Everything about our adventure to Peru was fantastic! Remi is one of the best travel agents I have ever worked with. He planned our entire itinerary starting with 2 nights at Treehouse Lodge, followed by 5 nights on the Amazon Aria and ending at Machu Picchu. In coordination with the concierge team on the ground, he selected perfect hotels and arranged for all our transfers by van, train, plane . We never touched our bags and received excellent service.

Fantastic experience: Remi has been outstanding. He helped me plan a trip with my son and we had a great time with my son. We booked IARA for 4 days and it was incredible. The experience will be certainly memorable and I recommend them for sure. The crew was awesome. The chef was outstanding and cooked the best and fresh meal everyday for us. Aldiney our guide is very nice and gave the best adventurous experience both day and night canoeing through the Amazon forest. The captain Luis and Pedro were unmatched and super friendly. Fantastic experience: Ebony with Rainforest Cruises was absolutely wonderful to work with! She helped me narrow down the ship that would fit my party of 5 for our trip to the Galapagos. Once we paid the deposit, she continued to stay in touch and respond rapidly to any questions I had. She honestly made our trip so easy, I can't recommend her enough. Positive experience: Rainforest Cruises did a very good job of helping us plan our trip to Brazil. They were very responsive and informative. I had a great trip and it exceeded my expectations. However, the services provided by their partners in Brazil were not as responsive and did not always meet expectations.

Fantastic experience: River Kwai cruise was terrific. Amazing blend of natural beauty, history, temples, and an overview of Buddhism. Off the beaten path on a lovely ship with a great crew. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had in Southeast Asia.

Fantastic experience: Remi at Rainforest Cruises put together a great trip for us. Professional tour guides showed us all the major sites from Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley to fun places in Lima. The highlight was definitely the private 5-day Spondias cruise on the Amazon River. The crew was super, the food was fantastic, and our naturalist/guide, Rudy, was both super smart and super fun. The hotels were top notch and unique and the whole thing was quite reasonably priced compared to competitors. I would definitely use Rainforest again.

Fantastic experience: We did a four night cruise on the Rio Negro with Rainforest Cruises and it was absolutely amazing. Each day was FULL of unique experiences, delicious food, outstanding guides, and spectacular scenery. The Amazon basin is so beautiful and full of life. And Rainforest Cruises made it possible for us to experience it in a unique and fun filled way. From our initial arrival at the port in Manaus to our final departure, the staff made our experience excellent. We were met as soon as we stepped out of our Uber by a cruise representative and porter. The representative spoke excellent English and directed us to the ship. Once on the ship, we received instructions in English and were directed to clean and well appointed rooms. Food each morning, afternoon, and evening was well prepared and we got to try many local dishes and fish. At the end of our cruise, one of the guides who runs his own tour service, invited us on a four hour tour of the Solimões river which included a visit to a local indigenous tribe. I highly recommend Rainforest Cruises if you are looking for an outstanding way to experience the Amazon.

Fantastic experience: I'm not sure what my expectations were, but they were exceeded! This is an Adventure - that I truly enjoyed more than I thought. The guides, top-notch. The boat/ship was beautiful (a bit cozy, but well kept) LOTS of 110v plug ins (I wish more hotels were like that), The outings/excursions were well planned and always different. They really gave you your money's worth. too many photos to select just one or two. Highly recommended for the adventurous type.

Fantastic experience: I had always wanted to explore the Amazon, and this cruise met all of my expectations. It was a once in a lifetime experience, and it is difficult to convey the beauty of the river and the jungle with all of its abundant wildlife. We cruised for three days without seeing another boat and there was no development except close to Manaus. I learned so much from the guides who were both professional, friendly and fun. The accommodations were superb and the Brazilian cuisine was exceptional. I would recommend this trip to anyone with the spirit of adventure.

Fantastic experience: Our 7 day cruise on the Rio Negro River on the motor yacht Tucano was fabulous. Remi, at Rainforest Cruises, was extemely helpful as we went through the booking and preparation process for the cruise. The staff on the Tucano were all wonderful, the boat inself was clean and very comfortable. The food was very good. Of course the highlight was the river and the jungle, there is just no place like it in the world! We saw dozens of bird species, caimen, boa constrictors, monkeys, gray and pink dolphins were everywhere. The guides were very knowledgeable about all of the flora and fauna. We would highly recommend this cruise.

Fantastic experience: We had a great experience visiting Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and then an Amazon River cruise. Guides met us at every location and escorted us to the next destination. We also requested a change to our itinerary while in Peru and agent Lucero was able to make it happen with only a one-day notice. She did a great job in customizing our trip to exactly like we wanted it, and everything went according to plan.

Fantastic experience: Ebony exceeded all our expectations for a private yacht 8 day family vacation in the Galapagos, twenty kids and grandkids. The local tour company in Quito did a fantastic job of a first rate tour and lunch and getting us to the airport where we were handed over the Infinity Yacht. We were cared for at evert step. And as for the Infinity — it was amazing. Food, crew, and the yacht- cant say enough good things about them. Trip of a lifetime.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful stay in Manaus and the Mirante do Gavião Amazon Lodge. Rainforest Cruises and the pre-trip support provided by Ebs was excellent and everything met our expectations. The guides and excursions gave us good insight into life in the Amazon, and we loved the food.

From the arrival in Quito to Coca and the transfers to La Selva Lodge and then the Manatee explorer, everything was seamless. We were well taken care of at every turn. La Selva Lodge is a truly amazing place; the staff and guides are beyond 5 ⭐️. There aren’t enough words to describe the incredible food, location, service, guides, excursions, wildlife, etc. What a fabulous adventure & experience.

Fantastic experience: This trip should be in everyone’s bucket list. It was a true adventure for the whole family. Even grandma (82) had a blast swimming with the pink dolphins, fishing for Piranhas and hunting for caiman at night. I really recommend it for anyone looking to really experience the Amazon and not just another luxury cruise. The boat spends the nights anchored right next to the jungle so you will experience the sights and sounds of the Amazon jungle just outside of your cabin window. Bring a lot of bug spray and be ready to sweat a little or a lot depending on the month. Nonato and Felix are great at finding the local species and if you are up to it, will take you right up to them and explain every little detail about them. Felix is a living encyclopedia (google for the gen z’s) and speaks perfect English and Spanish (thank God). One of granma’s favorite activities was experiencing the delicious local cuisine that Bita prepared for us 3 times a day. Mine was the huge bowl of delicious pipocas (popcorn) that she would prepare for us before dinner. This is a must for anyone (literally, my mom is proof of this) that loves to learn and experience nature and foreign cultures. If you still have any questions contact Miguel, he went out of his way to help us make grandma as comfortable as possible, and gave us a lot of tips. He knows everything about the river.

Fantastic experience: The Alya was a fantastic boat, amazing staff, excellent food, and unbelievable experience no other way to go to experience the Galapagos islands

Positive experience: We have had a positive experience booking through Rainforest Cruises for our cruise trip in the Galapagos. Remi was our contact, he is always polite and helpful. There were some issues with the air ticket booking with the operator but they were resolved. We had a lovely and memorable trip.

Fantastic experience: My god what an adventure! A group of five of us booked the Acqua Amazonia for a six-night, seven-day trip out of Manaus through the Amazon. We saw caiman alligators, sloths, many of the rare pink river dolphins, and countless parrots, macaws, and other birds, bats, and wildlife. We caught (and ate!) wild piranha. We swam on beautiful beaches, took boat trips through hauntingly beautiful rivers and lakes, swam on beautiful beaches, hiked through dense jungle during the day and in the pitch dark, and met with local indigenous people. Our guide, Felix, was outstanding. Very helpful and full of answers to almost any question at all. His English is quite good (but see my note about bringing a fully downloaded translation app below). Ask him about past expeditions he's made far upstream of the Amazon river - riveting and sometimes terrifying! The rest of the crew was equally great. The cook (Laney? Janey? I was never perfectly sure on that) was soooo nice and sweet. Not only were our three meals a day delicious, she also made us absolutely **perfect** caipirinhas every night from the bottles of cachaça we bought in Manaus. There's a reason it's the national drink of Brazil - it's perfect for a hot and humid night. Later, she prepped and cooked the piranha we had caught for a surprise meal! Our bushman, Nonato, was extremely competent. At one point, one member of our party had her shoe fall apart on a hike. Nonato chopped down a vine with his machete and bound up her shoe with it so that she had no problem at all finishing the walk! (And then Laney found some glue and repaired her shoe more permanently once we were back on the boat so that she had no more problems with it for the rest of the cruise!) At another point, Nonato spotted a viper across our hiking path and made us all stop. Even after he pointed it out to us (from a distance) is was still practically invisible until we saw it move. We still have no idea how he saw it in the first place. (Do NOT go into the jungle without an experience bushman, period.) Because we were a small group and only used three cabins, we were all able to have air conditioning during the nights, which was a blessing. Be prepared for extreme heat and even more extreme humidity. I'm don't personally usually sweat much, but after a hike in the jungle, my shirt could not have been more soaked through if I had literally just gone swimming in it. Know that the Amazon is hot, *extremely* humid, and has unpredictable weather - sudden heavy rains can come (and then go) in mere minutes out of nowhere. A small list of things to bring or prepare: *Download the full Portugese language onto your translation app of choice. You will NOT have wi-fi or cellular connection on the river. Everything you want to use your phone for will need to be fully available offline. *Download maps for all the local area of your trip. Your phone will often be able to know your location, but without a downloaded map of the area, all it can show you is a placemarker in a void. But if you have the maps downloaded, you can track your passage through the jungle and rivers. *Make sure ALL of your clothes are fast drying and wicking materials. My lightweight Columbia shirt and pants dried quickly when hung over the fan in my room, but other clothers I had took much much longer. I particularly wish I'd brought some space-age material underwear and socks. *Mosquitoes are a constant problem, but our picaridin repellent worked very very well, However, it does not repel the little black bees that will sometimes swarm in from the shore. (Multiple times we had to move the Acqua Amazonia from where we had tied up for the night because of bees.) If you have a bee allergy, bring an epi-pen (or multiple). *Definitely bring hiking boots that can protect your feet against a snakebite. You'll be provided with leg coverings for your lower legs, but your shoes need to protect your feet. And you'll want a good tread - the ground will be uneven and muddy.

Every person, from Ebony who helped book the trip and answer questions to the boat owner giving us a ride to the Felix the guide and EVERY crew member on board did everything they could to make the trip comfortable and memorable. I’m almost 80 years old with no language skills so I truly needed the help.

Fantastic experience: We stayed at La Selva Eco Lodge in Ecuador. It was a wonderful experience. Our three days were filled with so many adventures and naturalist guided wildlife expeditions that it seemed like a much longer stay. The lodge is well situated, the rooms very comfortable, the food amazing and plentiful, and the staff knowledgeable, efficient and very friendly. We appreciate that the arrangements were made for us by Rainforest Cruises at the last minute. Thanks to Jimmy McMasters our Amazon vacation was a great success.

Fantastic experience: We were honored to spend our time on the Manatee Explorer that took us into the depths of the Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador. It was a phenomenal experience, with great food, affordable drinks, days full of amazing once in a lifetime experiences, and a staff that makes sure you feel like family! Fantastic experience: The Rainforest Cruises trip through the Galapagos on the Ecogalaxy was fantastic! The boat was clean, modern, and quiet. The cabins were surprisingly large and comfortable. The food was superb. But best was our guide, Will. He was very knowledgeable, engaging, and personable. He made every effort to be sure that everyone had a great experience. We had two snorkeling trips every day, walks on the islands, and rides on small boats to see wildlife. There wasn’t much down-time. The boat’s crew were friendly and helpful, and very conscious of health and safety. The entire operation of Ecogalaxy gave a great experience. Strongly recommended!

Fantastic experience: We have talked about taking a trip to the Galapagos Island for many years, and recently decided to "just do it". We felt that organizing this trip would be difficult, so we decided to use travel agency to help (we've never used a travel agency before). After searching, we contacted Rainforest Cruises - they seemed to be experienced in the type of travel we were seeking. We were amazed at the level of detail and considerable knowledge our agent (Ebony) possessed - she walked us through the process, exchanged countless emails in answer of our many questions, and always responded within a day of our messages (even on weekends). I never expected that level of assistance. We arrived at our cruise better prepared than most of the other parties on our cruise, and were completely prepared for the trip. Our experience with Rainforest was far beyond what we expected - they are top notch, and we highly recommend their services - particularly to those needing or wanting a high level of quality assistance. If we ever decide to plan another vacation within their sphere, contacting Rainforest Cruises will be the absolute first step we take.

Negative experience: Worst travel agent that I ever had to deal with. They tried to manipulate me into paying for a Peru trip after I enquired after booking a Galapagos cruise. Vanessa was last minute with everything and got many details wrong and of course tried to blame us. I have traveled the world using many travel agents and I never experienced such a horrible agent. Stay away book direct or use any other agent but them. They never even bothered to check how the trip went and most other agents have always checked back with us. Just very unprofessional and an extremely scammy feeling about them and most of it was correct.

Fantastic experience: Though the complete Peru and Brazil trip was costly but it was truly a GREAT vacation that rainforest helped us with. They have partnered with some great local vendors which look for a great experience on minute level.

Fantastic experience: In August of 2022 my friend and I were scheduled through Rainforest Cruises to board a boat for four days in the Amazon. The morning of our departure from Manaus, Brazil we received word from the company that our trip had to be cancelled because the boat we were to travel on had not made it to port for some reason or another. Jimmy, our agent from Rainforest Cruises, spent hours trying to figure out a new plan for us. That morning he let us know that he had found availability on a different boat traveling to the same area. A few hours later, not knowing what we were in for, we were picked up at our hotel and driven to the area where Captain Jordi and his crew were waiting for us to board his boat, the Acqua Amazon. It was an amazing adventure! Jordi and the crew took incredible care of us. Jordi went out of his way to be an informative tour guide. He let us ask many questions in our quest to learn and understand about the Amazon area. He had such a feel for the area that not only did he want us to see the Amazon, he took us out on his skiff to hear the Amazon. He knew the perfect time to boat into the jungle to witness the change in sounds from daytime into evening. It was magical. Jordi also made sure we experienced swimming with the pink dolphins, fishing for piranha, walking the rainforest to learn about the medicinal properties of plants, and beautiful sunsets and moon rises over the Amazon river. If you are interested in an authentic journey in the Amazon area you won't find anything as terrific as going with Jordi on the Acqua Amazon.

Negative experience: Please be careful with this organization as they made promises to me to reschedule when Peru closed their borders and then would not return phone calls or emails.

Fantastic experience: This was my first time using Rain Forest Cruises and first time in South America. JP handled all the details of the cruise expertly, hand great background on the destinations and was very response to any questions or concerns. JP/Rain Forest worked with their air partner and arranged good connections, ground transportation and even maneuvered us through some air changes that changed all the land arrangements in the last two weeks and everything worked out great. I would definitely recommend JP and Rainforest Cruises

Fantastic experience: Just returned from a 13 day land and cruise tour in Peru. Everything was arranged by Rainforest Cruises and we were extremely satisfied with their expertise in putting it all together. Our thanks to Remi for setting it all up and making those last minute changes due to in Peru airline schedule changes. We spent the first half our trip on land in Lima, Cusco, and Machu Picchu. A guide and driver was arranged for just my wife and I in all three locations and they were all excellent. Due to a strike affecting the train that goes to Machu Picchu, we were delayed a half a day. But, Rainforest got us on the first train after the strike and we ended up losing very little time at Machu Picchu. After the land touring, we transitioned to the Amazon for a river cruise. We were aboard the Aqua Nera. It is a beautiful boat with knowledgable naturalists and an attentive staff. We thoroughly enjoyed that part of the trip. I would not hesitate to use Rainforest Cruises for any future trips for us.

Fantastic experience: Our boat, the Amazon Premium, could sleep 32, but only had 12passagers. It was clean, air conditioned and well equipped. The food was varied, home made and delicious. Our daily schedules were full, but optional. Our guide Franz, was informative, cooperative and funny. Travel to/from Manaus is tedious and it’s best to allow for missed flights/delays.

Fantastic experience: Rainforest Cruises set up an amazing vacation for us in Peru. The cruise on the Amazon was fabulous followed by several days in the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Cusco. The guides we had were very knowledgeable, the hotels and transfers were great and nothing was missed by the team at Rainforest Cruises. We had a flight delay on 1 leg of our trip and I called to verify and they had already made the adjustments with the transportation service.

Fantastic experience: Rainforest Cruises, specifically Jimmy McManners, did an excellent job planning our trip to Peru. We visited several Inca sites for the first 4 days, then flew to Iquitos for an Amazon River cruise. Condor Travel provided the tour guides. Joseph was excellent and was very helpful in dealing with the mobility issues my husband (has MS) faces. At Machu Picchu, our private guide was William. He helped my husband climb the steps up to the site and was good about providing a rest every few steps to allow my husband to continue. We were able to enjoy the incredible sites and rich history of Machu Picchu, thanks to William. For the second half of our trip we took the Delfin III river boat on the Amazon river and its tributaries for 4 days. The staff and the guides were exceptional. We enjoyed the experience very much. Everyone went above and beyond the norm to provide a wonderful trip. We highly recommend Rainforest Cruises who planned our trip using Condor Travel and Delfin cruises.

Fantastic experience: We had a wonderful experience in the upper reaches of the Amazon! The cruise was one of the most comfortable cabins we have experienced, the food as exquisite and the service exceptional. Guides were both knowledgeable and diligent in finding wildlife that we would have missed but for their expert eyes and ears! A once in a lifetime experience!!

Fantastic experience: We did a 4 day Zafiro Amazon Cruise and 3 day Treehouse Lodge stay mid July 2021. Remi helped us navigate the ever changing requirements for COVID testing/restrictions and LATAM flight schedules. He was always available and quick to help. We appreciated his tips on cruises and the various rooms at the Treehouse Lodge. We appreciated the fact he has been there and has personal experience. Both experiences were amazing and coming off COVID some aspects were extra special.

Fantastic experience: We’ve been on a lot of cruises, and this one topped them all. It had amazing food and excellent excursions. We’d do it again in a heartbeat. In fact we hope to return and bring our grandchildren. The guides were knowledgeable and told fascinating stories from their own experiences. The accommodations were great and we made friends with the other passengers. It was wonderful.

Fantastic experience: We had great trip on the Amazon from Manaus on the La Peix boat. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The boat is small which is how we liked it. Food was good. Lots of excursions on land or in a small motor boat.

Fantastic experience: We would highly recommend an Amazon Rainforest Cruise through Rainforest Cruises. We had a five-day cruise on the Delphin III. The ship is beautiful and comfortable and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They have all grown up in river villages in the general area so can speak extensively about the customs, foods, wildlife, the rivers, plants, etc. It was a great experience and we saw very few mosquitoes and were not uncomfortable in the heat and humidity. Our trip was at the end of February, 2019. The water was very high and that made navigation very easy. We loved it! The food was wonderful on board. The accommodations were luxurious.
