Fantastic experience: Steves Outdoors was fantastic to work with! I spoke with Kelsey and she was awesome! Kelsey got me over to Travis after telling her my hunting interests. I let Travis know I live in New Mexico and it’s impossible to draw a tag and I want to shoot a trophy antelope. Travis let me know he had hunted this location and gave me valuable insight on how to prepare. He told me exactly the hunt to book and now I am pretty sure my antelope book(Boone and Crockett)! I was able to tag a 85 1/8 inch antelope in the first hour! What an awesome experience all around! Everything was perfect on location to include the lodge, food and guides! Fantastic experience: I wanted to thank Travis Price with Steve's Outdoor Adventures for setting me up with an amazing bear hunt in British Columbia this past week. This was by far one of the best hunting experiences I've ever had. I successfully harvested two big boars. The first boar harvested had a huge white chevron on his chest and was the first bear I harvested in my life. The 2nd boar measured over 7' and was absolutely amazing. I was fortunate enough to meet Travis Price and Welsey White in bear camp. I can't say enough about them. They were both extremely humble, courteous, personable, and welcoming which contributed to the amazing time I had. I definitely will contact Travis again for any future guided hunts and strongly recommend others to do the same, you will be extremely satisfied you did. Travis, thanks again for the amazing hunt.

Fantastic experience: We went to Bull Basin Outfitters through Steve’s outdoor adventures and it was first class through and through. To top that we happen to hit it right so that even made it more exciting seeing hundreds of elk with bulls bugling literally the whole time on every single hunt each day.

Fantastic experience: I used SOA for a 2x1 bear hunt in BC. The staff was very helpful and timely with updates on the hunt. COVID unfortunately pushed the hunt two years to the right, however, SOA kept me updated every step of the way. They provided border updates as well as what to expect whenever hunting was supposed to open up again. The outfitter that SOA matched us with was excellent. Both my dad and I were able to tag out on some real nice bears. I look forward to using SOA for my next hunt.

Fantastic experience: This hunt was originally booked as a spring bear hunt before Covid.I decided that I would rather hunt whitetail deer in the fall. Travis worked with the outfitter and made the change for me. After Covid hit the border was closed. Travis kept me abreast of developments and once the border reopened this year he helped make sure that I knew what would be required for travel and the hunt. I will continue to use SOA as my hunt broker. I can count on them to make sure that the Outfitters are reliable.

I called SOA and was greeted by the pleasant voice who passed me to Travis. He knew I was newby and took sufficient time to outline various options. We discussed personal objectives as well as my capabilities as on 'older' hunter. I made the decision on the spot that SOA is who I trusted to take care of the hunt. Fantastic experience: I am brand-spanking new to hunting. I saw Steve on a TV show on an elk hunt and decided that I would contact SOA to talk about its hunts. I really liked the way Steve worked with his client on the TV show which is why I decided to check SOA out. From my first inquiry through to the post-hunt follow-up, Steve, Travis and the team at SOA were very helpful, informative, responsive and helped guide me to the right hunt which was a two-day pronghorn hunt in WY. The guide I had, Bob, is a true outdoorsman who lives to hunt and hunts to live. Bob really knew his way around the terrain, knew where to go to have a good chance of getting an animal, and was full of great stories and knowledge about all the land, terrain, weather and animals. And, he really wanted me to have fun and have a successful hunt. I was able to take two beautiful pronghorn bucks due in no small part to Bob's commitment to getting me a pronghorn. That, and a little luck trying to find the herds. This hunt, and working with SOA, was a great entry-point for me into hunting. Steve's Outdoor Adventures made it easy, smooth and fun. I highly recommend SOA for your next hunt, I'll surely be working with the team there again. That is a Cooper Custom Classic 6.5 Creedmoor with a Sig Sauer Tango6 3-18x44 scope. I used Sig Sauer Elite Hunter 6.5 in 130 grain. One shot each, 280 yards and 175 yards, one on the run. Enjoy, and happy hunting.

Fantastic experience: I have booked a lot of hunts through Steve’s Outdoor Adventures. I have bought several rifles and a lot of ammo as well. They are always friendly, efficient, and on top of the details. They follow up before and after the hunt. Amazing. Steve helped me get started as I had only hunted birds. Travis and the people in the office have been wonderful. As you can tell, I highly recommend SOA.

Fantastic experience: I worked with SOA for my first ever elk hunt. The staff is amazing and thoroughly explained everything I could expect and they were 100% spot on. They handled all the details from getting my preference points two years in advance, all the way to the hunt. Plus, the outfitters they work with are top notch. Fantastic experience: My son and I recently hunted elk in Wyoming with Tri-spoke outfitters booked thru Steve’s Outdoors. The hunt exceeded our expectations. We both harvested our first elk. The camp was great from the wall tents to meals. All five hunters tagged out in the first day and half. Our guide, Butch, was more like hunting buddy than a guide.

Fantastic experience: I booked an archery Elk hunt with Steve's in Utah. They did a fantastic job putting everything together, and placed us with a five star outfitter. They were very helpful suggesting equipment, and explaining the hunt, plus getting our licenses and permits all together. Steve's seems like they have some incredible contacts in the outfitter industry, and i'd trust them to place me with any future hunts.

Fantastic experience: Booked a WY Mule Deer and Antelope hunt in WY with SOA. Had a great experience with Steve and his Staff with the booking process and follow through. The outfitter, accommodations, and hunting were as advertised. Although not the reason I enjoyed this experience, I did harvest what I felt were very respectable Mule Deer and Antelope on this hunt. Will book more hunts with SOA. Steve and his entire team were very helpful.

Fantastic experience: Herb was an excellent guide very knowledgeable patient and informative on our Antelope hunt. The food absolutely wonderful, made my experience very enjoyable. Travis was a huge help in guiding us through the process and very informative. Highly recommend for all hunting experiences especially an Antelope hunt in Wyoming. Saw a variety of animals, including white tail and mule deer besides antelope; saw well over 100 animals daily.

Fantastic experience: I have booked multiple trips with Steve in the last few year and have not had a single issue. "YES" he does personally answer the phone and will discuss any, and all, aspects of the hunts. I currently have two additional future hunts booked through Steve. Based on my past personal experience, I will not use anyone other than Steve.

Fantastic experience: I have booked 4 hunts with Steve West and his crew. They have done and incredible job making all of my hunting dreams come true!!! They are professional and follow up..Even through this covid crisis they were patient and took care of me and all of my hunting partners, which I had no doubt that they would!!! There are many booking agents out there but in my opinion only one that you can fully trust and invest your hard earned dollars with, and that's Steve West and Steve's Outdoor adventures....Also BTW we are at a 100% success rate.

Fantastic experience: I have used Steve’s services for many years. Steve and his staff have intimate knowledge of each location he sends hunters to. Steve and his team always handle my out of town hunts. I don’t have to worry about doing all the research, making countless calls to investigate weather or not I should use a certain outfitter. I just call his office , discuss what we are after and he handles everything. It’s absolutely the BEST way to do it in my opinion. I will remain a life long customer.

Fantastic experience: As a CEO of a defense engineering company I appreciate communications and accuracy. I have hunted domestically and internationally with lots of outfitters. Only a few were good communicators with professional contracts and a willingness to go beyond the receipt of payment. Steve West and the team at SOA made this a great experience and Steve personally helped with the challenges associated with COVID-19. We were very pleased and look forward to our next hunt with SOA!

Fantastic experience: I went on the Chama, NM Elk Hunt this past December and it was an incredible trip! Steve, Travis, and the team were fantastic from start to finish, and genuinely care about their clients. I was given great information throughout the process and ended up spending a great week in camp. If you're looking for an elk adventure, I would definitely recommend Chama! The food at the lodge is incredible, the guides are fun and knowledgable, and the location is perfect for the elk migration. I appreciate all the knowledgable advice through Steve's Office and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking to book a high quality hunt!

Fantastic experience: I have been on 3 hunts through Steve’s Outdoor Adventures. An Alaskan Mountain Goat in 2018, a Colorado Mtn Lion Hunt in 2019 and a Montana Deer Hunt in 2019. All 3 of the hunts have been outstanding, the outfitters have been amazing and all the questions I have asked about, type of hunt, trophy quality and overall experience have been answered honestly based on what I ended up seeing while on the hunts. I have multiple other hunts now booked out through the 2022 season. I would agree that when I booked my Alaskan Mtn Goat back in 2016 and up until the departure of that hunt that getting a hold of of Steve was difficult. However, for the last 18 months I have found that both Steve and Travis Price are awesome and getting back and answering questions in a timely fashion. Don’t let other poor reviews from years ago influence your decision to work with the SOA crew. They are hard working, honest guys and they will truly help you set up the hunting adventure of a lifetime. Reach out to me, I would be happy to share the great experiences I have had.

Fantastic experience: I have hunted with Steve West and Steve's Outdoor Adventures for over 20 years. Steve has helped me achieve the Grand Slam of Sheep and I am on my way to a second slam with his expertise and help. I cannot tell you with adequate words what a wonderful and helpful person Steve West has been. He exemplifies honesty and integrity and I would not hesitate to book or refer a fellow hunter to him for help in booking a phenomenal hunt.

Negative experience: The outfitter was great and did everything they could to get us on elk but dealing with Steve Outdoors was a horrible experience. My buddies and I booked a Utah rifle elk hunt with Steve 15 months before the hunt. We were told we would have all the outfitter information and details about 6-8 months before the hunt. We did not find out who or where we were hunting with until 6 weeks before the hunt and only because I googled the outfitter and reach out to them on my own. When I did reach out to the outfitter they told us we weren't booked with them and was waiting on Steve to tell them who was coming and pay them for the hunts. We were also told we wouldn't be hunting with them unless they were paid up before the hunt because of past experiences dealing with Steve. We ended up having to threaten legal action before the ball got rolling and our deposits were sent to the outfitter so they would take us on the hunt. When I was looking at booking this hunt I had specific questions that I asked since we have never been elk hunting before and they seemed to have all the right answers. I ask how large the ranch was because I knew that elk can and will travel a great deal in short amount of time. We were told we would be hunting a large private ranch with 10's of thousands of acres. We were also told that there was a 100% shot opportunity for the last 20 years on this hunt which is also advertised on Steve's website. Another question I had from the beginning was how far should we expect to shoot and was told numerous times 150-300 yards. We ended up finding out these were all lies. The ranch was about 5000 acres with 5 guys hunting it. On the second day all the elk were pushed onto the next ranch and never came back. Also the outfitter said that they have never run a 100% shot opportunity and that is just crazy for anyone to say that. The last thing that got me really upset was how unprepared we were to shoot. We should have been prepared to shoot 5-700 yards. The outfitter also said this was a big mistake. We booked a $500 fly fishing trip in Colorado 2 days before the hunt and got more information and were more prepared for it then this 40k elk hunt we booked 15 months before.

Positive experience: Went on two booked hunts (mule deer and caribou). Shot nice trophy size animals on both hunts. Price very fair compared with other agents. Problems were hard to talk to someone who could answer questions as Steve is out filming and hunting often. Also getting information hunting schedule timely is lacking. Steve needs to add overhead to his staff.
