Fantastic experience: Lindstrom Travel has been a joy to work with arranging our upcoming Rhine River cruise. Josephine has been our agent and she has been very helpful with recommendations and information. She has been in contact with our cruise line AmaWaterways keeping us up to date on all of the current river conditions and excursions.

Negative experience: Not impressed AT ALL! Called and spoke to Richard. He was less than friendly. I explained to him I was looking for a travel agent and wanted to know if I needed to make an appointment. He said yes and I had to prompt him through the entire conversation. He wasn’t helpful, he was not friendly, less than enthusiastic and seemed unwilling. I got a real bad vibe from him, so much so that I decided not to make an appointment. When I told him this he said “ok” and hung up the phone. You only get one chance to make a first impression and his first impression was awful.

Negative experience: I had requested to receive info on a vacation on Monday. It is now Wednesday and I have not received anything

Negative experience: We had a horrible experience with Lindstrom. We booked a cruise with Christine. She offered very little help through the entire process and when the cruise itself went horribly, she literally washed her hands of it.

Fantastic experience: Josephine Prestegaard did a wonderful job on planning our Hawaii trip this past April. We had a 2 week vacation visiting Oahu. Kauai and Maui. Her arrangements were seamless. Each stay was wonderful, with each stop getting progressively better. I can't say enough about our last week in Maui.

Josephine took the time to listen and get to know us; she not only listened but heard us and seemed to totally get who we are to plan our trip as if we planned it ourselves. Positive experience: Very good personal service for helping with making travel plans and reservations

Negative experience: My husband and I were looking for a cruise and having never been on one were quite overwhelmed at the options. We were pleasantly pleased with the friendly, intuitive service provided by Richard Sturm at Lindstrom at first. Having never delt with this before, we felt very informed. However, when we had our last meeting to pick up our items, there were several charges that we weren't prepared for (the daily service charges per person per day. Over $200) and when we asked about them, he stated that we could have paid them at the beginning when we booked, but we're unable to do so now. He also could not tell us exactly how much it would be, which is very unnerving when you have a limited vacation fund. We we're never asked when we wanted to return and with our early transfer that was set up for us, we ended up waiting around the airport for four hours. There were many other questions that we had that we were told "weren't a big deal" and to top it all off, even after correcting him when he presented our paperwork, he still spelled my middle name wrong for our flight which made for an interesting chat with the airline that almost made us miss our flight. Long story short, we do not plan on using Lindstrom again.
