We did the fluid bear and I love how the bear is a coin bank. The staff is always so nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I love that they encourage us to take photos and videos, too. Negative experience: We had our holiday party scheduled here tonight for a group of 12 and made a reservation. We called in advance to let them know we were going to be a little late and were still told to come on in. When we arrived we were immediately turned away, met with attitude instead of any attempt at hospitality or professionalism. No grace, no understanding, and absolutely no customer service skills. The staff was rude, unforgiving, and made it very clear they couldn’t care less that this was a special occasion for our team. To make it worse, after being so dismissively turned away, they even refused to take a quick photo of us outside — a simple, decent gesture that apparently was too much to ask. If you value basic respect, common decency, or being treated like a human being rather than an inconvenience, this is not the place for you. We’ll be taking our celebrations (and money) elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Sara was amazing. She was very patient with us and extremely helpful. We were a party of 8 with two kids. One 12 and one 9. Our 9 year old is on the spectrum and was a little hesitant to come in. Sara helped us get her excited about painting and even helped to accommodate the lighting as we were doing the neon splatter room. We were celebrating the 12yo’s birthday and Sara took the time to show her some painting techniques on her canvas. Overall she helped add enjoyment to the room! Would go again

Fantastic experience: Our family had the BEST time at Shot of Art LA! The team was so welcoming and made the experience so much fun for all of us. We did the Splatter Room, which the kids loved getting messy and throwing paint everywhere and all over us! We also created fluid art on canvas, such a cool creative activity to do together. Plus, we did the fluid bear and their special Halloween edition pumpkin and skull, which was so cool to customize ourselves and take home as keepsakes. Highly recommend for a fun unique experience!

Fantastic experience: We did the Romantic Date experience at Shot of Art and it was incredible! The whole session was about 2 hours and included 3 creative activities that made the night unforgettable. First, we each painted our own canvas, which was such a fun and relaxing way to start. Then came the highlight — we used a BB gun to shoot balloons filled with paint onto a big heart, and afterwards they spun it into this amazing piece of art. To top it off, we got to throw paint together and even created a pair of matching shirts! The staff was so friendly, patient, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. It was the perfect balance of romantic, playful, and hands-on — definitely not your typical date night. We laughed, got a little messy in the best way, and left with keepsakes that will always remind us of this special day. Highly recommend this for couples looking for something fun, creative, and totally unique. We’ll absolutely be back!

Fantastic experience: We had such a fun time as a family doing fluid art at Shot of Art. Kids (11 and 4) had a blast creating their masterpieces and even more so splashing the remaining paint onto the walls and swing. Our instructor Paula was amazing and so engaging with kids. 5 stars all around. P.S. to the parents of younger kids - get them the poncho because they will get the paint all over themselves and apron won't help )).

Negative experience: I wish I could give NO STARS!! They are so unprofessional!!! They did NOT show up to our session today. Due to the LA wildfires I wanted to make sure the appointment was not cancelled so I went on their IG page this morning and they posted that they are still operating today. We didn’t receive a call or email that anything changed. So we went to the location 30 minutes early and sat outside and nobody showed up. We called multiple times, no one answered. We sent multiple emails, no one answered. We had to go on their IG social media page where we finally reached someone via DM. How unprofessional to not respond to a customer who paid $500 for a session. After commenting under multiple pictures, I finally received a call and they said they closed for the day due to the weather. I explained to the lady that their IG page says that they are not closed and would be operating today. Also there was no call to give us a heads up about them closing!! I asked for a full refund and was told I had to get store credit or reschedule, I told her I do NOT live in the area. She said she has to see if can REQUEST a refund. Like what do you mean?? This is a inconvenience on YOUR end not mine. They are trying to scam me out of $500 because why would you not offer a full refund when your workers did not show up. You did not call or send an email saying you closed for the day. AND the IG post showing that they are still operating is STILL currently up right now. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! I’m currently fighting for a refund that I should’ve received immediately since they closed without notice and never reached out. I attached a screenshot to show proof that they said they are still operating today!!

Negative experience: My bf got us tickets to go here and we ended up having a same day family emergency. We called trying to switch out our tickets to a different day since we wouldn’t make it. They weren’t even understanding to do that. Customer service 0/10. Wouldn’t have killed y'all to put the customer first under an unforeseen circumstance we didn’t want a refund just wanted to switch it. Geez.

Fantastic experience: What a great experience this evening. We learned how to create bear art, spinning canvas and liquid art. I have been wanting to come here for awhile. I would love to come back and create my own bear art. Such a great time with my fellow Gold Badgers and one Black Badger. I loved how my canvas turned out as well as everyone elses. Also,I enjoyed my grilled chicken sandwich from @fishgrillcatering. This was only for the event. Fantastic experience: Shot of Art LA really made my son's birthday the best one he's ever had. It was such a unique and creative experience for the kids to express themselves inside a safe and giant canvas of a room. The private room was set up for them to paint right away, and the hostesses were incredibly accommodating to every request the kids had! Highly recommend for everyone of all ages.

We did this as a team building activity for our Home Health Agency and Mobile Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy team and couldn’t have asked for a better, well, EVERYTHING! Bri Bri was our artistic leader and made everything simple, but fun. We are not an artistic group by nature, but were able to create some wonderful art and have a lot of fun!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I went on a date day to Shot of Arts new location in Chicago on sweetest day! To say it was such a cool and amazing experience was an understatement! It was such a unique and fun day! Kat walked us through every fun step for the shot of art and fluid art experience. If that weren’t enough we got to paint on the walls at the end! We also were lucky enough to meet the owner who was also so kind! We are so excited to hang up our art in the house. Every peice turns out so unique and beautiful. I You don’t need to be an artist or even remotely good at arts or crafts to have fun at this experience. Definitely recommend trying it out and hope to go back soon ️️ thank you for a great experience!

She's not only the best person there, but she also hails from my neighborhood in Harlem, making the experience even more special. She truly elevated our time there. I wholeheartedly recommend Shot of Art to everyone - if I could, I'd give it 10 stars!

Positive experience: Our experience at Shot of Art was awesome. Not only is it easy to locate, they have a parking lot on site as well! Less hassle when you’re doing something in downtown LA. The front desk help were quick & friendly & made sure to check in my party ASAP. We were a few minutes late but we were guaranteed our time slot so long as we didn’t exceed 15 minutes. After that our instructor Bree(huge shout-out to her!!) explained to us what we were going to be doing & directed us to paint & inspiration wall. She then showed us to our private party room & explained how to set up our paint for our balloons. Also providing keen detail on the paint/water ratio. She set up balloons & canvas & even helped make sure our BB gun was loaded & had a new gas canister. **DISCLAIMER: upon arrival we were under the impression that we (a party of 3) were going to get our own canvases. However, we were later told that we would only be SHARING one. Probably the only let down of the whole experience! So make sure you ask questions on what you want/need!! 10/10 would definitely do that again!! It was my crew mate’s bday so we let her keep the canvas as a gift. Would have been cooler if we each got our own canvas though!

Positive experience: We brought our family together for an immersive art experience and had a blast together as a family. Be warned that although advertised as family friendly, the lobby contains ceramic bears one of our toddlers broke when they were playing at the end of our session (the bears appear plastic). I had offered to pay and was told “it happens, don’t worry about it.” Once we got in the car and drove away, the reception desk called us and said let us know they were charging our CC full price of $150”. Surprising to receive that phone call after we were told “don’t worry about it.” It definitely put a damper on what was to be a great family experience and was disappointing
