Fantastic experience: We cannot speak highly enough about our great experience with Andie and Costa Rica Experts! We were recommended to CRE by friends of ours and it was the single best decision we made in planning this trip of a lifetime. We started working with Andie nearly a year ahead of our trip and she was terrific in helping us craft an itinerary that reflected our interests coupled with her tips and recommendations from someone who knows the country intimately. We visited three different locations in the country (Manuel Antonio, Monteverde, Arenal) and had numerous excursions, hikes, and local experiences. All of the logistics worked like clockwork, which was no mean feat given the territory we covered and activities pursued. When we ran into a problem at our first hotel, the local CRE team were instrumental in getting us help and making things right. You only really know how good a travel expert is in such a situation and CRE more than delivered. If you are considering a trip to Costa Rica, a very wonderful place, we would strongly and vigorously recommend working with Costa Rica Experts to make it a trip that is memorable for all the right reasons!

Fantastic experience: Amazing trip… I wanted to cover a big area in a small amount of time… logistics can be time consuming as can finding the right accommodation. Costa Rica Experts did all the hard work for me … transfers were seamless… accommodation amazing… experiences exactly what I wanted. I saw everything I wanted to see and more in my timeframe… highlights, finding the elusive Qetzal in the cloud forest and hiking the Drake Trail… will definitely use the Experts again !

Fantastic experience: Mathew of Costa Rica Experts arranged a lifetime trip for me and my family, Every arrangement and suggestion he made worked out perfectly. When they call themselves "experts" they really earn their name. There were 10 of us, all adults, and we were able to enjoy ourselves individually and as a group. Ziplining, animal sanctuary, sunset cruise, Golf and lots more. We did it all. We did it off-season (Mid June) and the weather was perfect- hot, but cooled by occasional rain or a dip in the pool or ocean. The W Hotel was outstanding and the staff was constantly helpful. When they say Pura Vida (similar to Aloha) they mean it.

Fantastic experience: We recently hired Costa Rica Experts a second time (we first hired them about 10 years ago) to design and plan a trip for us last December. As before, they provided great advice, different options (especially as to the quality/class of hotel and activities), and made sure that all the logistics (for guides, pick-ups, activity tickets, hotels, etc) were in place and went smoothly during our visit. I recommend them all the time to friends who want to visit CR - and would do the same to strangers.

Fantastic experience: We did the classic Costa Rica deluxe and felt like this was the perfect introduction to CR. We had quick communication through email to set up the tour. We also were able to communicate through their CR office very quickly through WhatsApp. It was my first time on a tour and it was so nice not having to worry about transportation, setting up other tours, or etc. I can definitely see why people decide to do them. Highly recommend this company for your CR tour!

Fantastic experience: Aaron, along with Deborah a local Costa Rican agent, provided us with a fabulous trip. Aaron arranged the hotels in each city (Koora in MonteVerde was THE BEST), adventures, drivers and tour guide companies that did not disappoint. Our guides were very knowledgeable and drivers were safe, even with questionable road conditions. Most spoke English, which helped navigate our adventures. Even though we were last minute in our travel plans, Aaron did not hesitate to give us great ideas. We hiked, dined and zip lined through three different ecosystems. Deborah assisted us in finding even more to experience and gave us ideas on how best to help one of our travel partners.

Fantastic experience: We did the Costa Rica Family Safari (with some cusomizations) in a group of 9. It was fantastic. The hotels were excellent (Tabacon was a stand-out, but they all were fantastic). The transfers and tours were all excellent. For our group, the transfers were all private transfers. We will book again. Loved it!

Fantastic experience: I would absolutely recommend Costa Rica Experts and would use them again if I return to Costa Rica. They helped me plan a great trip for my family of five (3 teenagers). They took care of every detail from airport transfers to help with dinner reservations. Not only were the hotels that they booked for us fantastic, but the rooms were perfect. At Los Altos we were in a three bedroom condo style suite. At The Springs, we had an amazing two bedroom two bath room. Every excursion they booked for us was amazing. They truly know what they are doing and which companies to use. The trip was perfect!

Fantastic experience: We had an amazing expericnce with Matthew at CRE. I usually do our trip planning myself, but we were going with our kids and grandkids and I was overwhelmed at trying to plan a trip in a country I'd never been to and for that many people. Matthew made it happen! It was a wonderful trip for the week of Thanksgiving and it all went seamlessly! I've never been on such a relaxing trip, because I didn't have to worry about anything! Matthew worked with me to plan two different locations, Arenal and the Pacific coast, for a variety of experiences and ages 7- 70. All the excursions were wonderful, the transfers were seamless and the hotels were first rate! It was the family trip of dreams! I can't wait to go back and experience another part of the country and I will definitely contact Matthew for the next trip as well!

Fantastic experience: We knew we wanted to go to Costa Rica, but were overwhelmed with the locations and hotel choices. A friend recommended Costa Rica Experts and we are so glad they did! From helping us narrow down where we wanted to be and what we wanted to see, an itinerary was created that ticked all our boxes. From being collected at the airport to our check ins, everything was seamless. Our drivers that took us between hotels were amazing, full of local knowledge and made sure we saw some amazing things! Fantastic experience: We worked with Matthew at Coastal Rica Experts and had a great experience! He was very responsive and put together a 10 day trip that was tailor made to our requests. He made changes and gave us choices until we came up with our perfect itinerary. He arranged a number of different things for us from airport transportation, transportation around the country, hotels, tours, etc. Everything turned out great. All of the services he put together were excellent. We were able to sit back, relax and know that there was nothing we needed to do except enjoy the trip. Unfortunately my wife's father became severely ill halfway through our trip and was admitted to an ICU so we had to leave urgently. Luckily we used the travel insurance company Matthew recommended. He provided the company some of the documents they needed, and the company we refunded us the portion of the trip we did not use. Matthew made the process easier than it would have been had we been on our own. We are very happy with Costa Rica Experts and highly recommend them to others. Hopefully we get a chance to go back and finish our trip some day, and if we do, we would definitely use Costa Rica Experts again.

Fantastic experience: We used Costa Rica Experts to plan a 10 day trip. They were very helpful in planning all aspects to 3 different locations. All the logistics went very smoothly, the hotels were lovely and it was a great trip. My only small negative is that we paid for a number of private hikes/walks that may not have been worth it. Look closely at the options before selecting.

Fantastic experience: January 2024 I usually plan our trips, but for our 25th wedding anniversary trip, I decided to call CR Experts. Even though we had been to CR before, Matthew at CR Experts, exceeded our expectations with a fast paced trip that included everything we wanted; white water rafting (class 3-4), zip lining, hiking in Arenal, and snorkeling. We were happy to return to the Mount Arenal area, but he introduced us to Monteverde, the Osa Peninsula and Cano Island, places we had not been before. The accommodations exceeded expectations with the Aguila de Osa on the Osa Peninsula, being the best. The food was truly gourmet and made every meal an adventure. The staff at Osa were outstanding as were the tours. The transfers were seamless and we felt truly “special”. In the end, it was a good decision to use CR Experts.

Fantastic experience: Costa Rica Experts did a great job planning our honeymoon so we didn't have to think through logistics after we were all planned out from the wedding. They proposed great lodging and activities and everything went smoothly and was well planned. It was a headache free honeymoon. Fantastic experience: Aaron Daker & Costa Rica Experts is amazing! I had never been to Costa Rica before and have never used a travel agent before. I found Costa Rica Experts off the internet and read the reviews. All were amazing. I was nervous at first, but Aaron was very personable, knowledgeable on Costa Rica, had been there before and had done all the activities he recommended. He was prompt and he put together 2 different itinerary options that fit out wants & needs. Everything was set up for us, rides to/from the airports, all of the activities and rides to the activities/from the hotels. We went white water rafting, the hanging bridges tour, night tour, zip-lining, repelling, sailing, snorkeling. I recommend all of it! He was organized, friendly, informative, communicative, and everything on our trip ran smoothly! Every one of our shuttles for everything was on time except for one. That one was only 7 mins late to pick us up and they even called our hotel lobby to tell us they were running a few minutes late. It was my son's 18th birthday on the trip and he communicated with the hotel & boat to do something special for him. Both provided him with a cake, and made his day special! The country is beautiful and the people are very friendly! You can tell they love their country and love to share information about it with you. We stayed at the Westin at Playa Conchal in Guancaste the 2nd half of our trip. That place is amazing! The area of Arenal is also very cool and that is where there are a ton of activities! We are glad we got to see both parts of the country. I have no idea how much more ( or less even) that I might have spent using Costa Rica Experts to plan our family vacation for us. But, it was worth every penny! It would have been a lot of work to have done all those details by myself, especially without knowing the country, etc. Go to Costa Rica and use Costa Rica Experts! You will not regret it.

Fantastic experience: Costa Rica Experts were the bomb for helping us plan our 8 day adventure in Costa Rica. I provided Matthew with our requirements (accommodate a wife with special health needs, the adventurous nature of two young adults, my desire to experience some authentic culture / wildlife and a target budget) and he went to town. 3 days later he provided a draft itenerary that I shared with the crew. They all were on board and we were ready to travel! Our trip included airport transfers from Liberia to the La Fortuna area, daily varied excursions, a boat transfer to Monteverde and more excursions. The quality of our hotels was first rate, the excursions were all superior and our many transfers just happened. We couldn't be more happy with the end results of our trip. Costa Rica Experts are just that!

Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic trip, and the local support staff was an unexpectedly useful feature- I had accidentally left our passports in the room safe at our first hotel, and didn't realize until we were 2 hours away on the road to our next destination- it was so useful having a local rep to call and help us coordinate a resolution for that with the hotel.

Aaron booked us an amazing itinerary that totally fit our interests. It was a great mix of adventure and free time, from exploring national parks in Tortuguero, white water rafting near Quepos, and a 5 star barefoot luxury resort in Uvita. Everything went smoothly, we experienced amazing service and care. Aaron even went above and beyond for us when we missed a connecting flight due to a delay. Fantastic experience: Just returned from an awesome 8 day trip to Costa Rica. We used Costa Rica Experts (CRE) and it was a wonderful decision. We had thought of renting a car and planning it ourselves. This was so much easier!! Matthew from CRE listened to my ramblings of what we wanted to experience. He designed an incredible trip. The guides and drivers from the companies they used were top notch. Everyone was very attuned to safety, as well as friendly and fun. I'm a birder and they went out of their way to point out cool birds and other wildlife during our excursions. All of our drivers were on time and ready to take us to our next adventure. The accommodations were magnificent. The staff at the villas were so friendly and helpful as well. We had an amazing trip. Pura Vida!

Fantastic experience: Our family of 6 including grandparents, parents and two children 9 and 12 spent a fabulous 2-week vacation in Costa Rica thanks to the excellent planning of Costa Rica Experts. We started planning this trip in 2020 and canceled in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID. Finally, in July 2022, with Costa Rica Experts help, we had a once in a lifetime trip. On the day we arrived, July 1, hurricane Bonnie hit Costa Rica. Our agent with Costa Rica Experts took care of all the details to accommodate us during our trip interruption. In addition, he helped us to get reimbursement from the travel insurance once we got home. Throughout the trip, our drivers, accommodations, and activities were first rate. Fantastic experience: Costa Rica Experts made our trip fantastic. This is the first time we’ve used an agency before (I usually plan our trips myself) but having been to Costa Rica before we wanted to be sure that our transportation was taken care of as we wanted to visit multiple areas. We contacted Brandon, Aaron, and the team and they took great care of us. Especially when one of our travelers contracted COVID the day before we were to leave and had to re-plan the entire trip! They worked with the travel insurance to get our money back and then turned around a new itinerary in 24 hours. I can’t recommend them enough. This has been the easiest vacation we’ve ever taken.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Costa Rica Experts (CRE) for anyone planning to visit this beautiful country! My family wanted to go to Costa Rica for my mother’s 60th birthday, and I reached out to CRE to plan an itinerary. Aaron Daker was extremely thoughtful and accomodating for all my requests, and put together a wonderful itinerary for Bajos Del Torro and Arenal/La Fortuna. The trip itself was outstanding! Everything went smoothly, and every single tour operator and hotel stay had the nicest people! There was one day where a planned river safari had to be cancelled due to flooding, but Elfa (not sure of her name spelling) in the Completely Costa Rica office and Jacamar Tours were so helpful and efficient in organizing an alternate option. The hotel selections were amazing, and both hotels went the extra mile to make my mother feel special for her birthday. I’ve never had a trip go as seamlessly as this one did, and I cannot recommed CRE more! I’ve already shared my itinerary with several family friends who also plan to visit Costa Rica. Kudos to the entire CRE team!

Fantastic experience: I was traveling around in Costa Rica with my two children, ages 10 and 12. Being a solo parent for that trip, I was nervous about coordinating the logistics of moving around and so, even though I consider myself a fairly experienced traveler who loves digging into the details of travel planning, decided to work with Costa Rica Experts. I worked with Aaron and was very pleased. He suggested tours and places I would not have thought of by myself, and he took into account what would be generally interesting to children. We visited Arenal, the Nicoya Peninsula and the Osa Peninsula. It was a packed itinerary but the transfers were seamless, and I was happy with the accommodations he suggested. My children had a blast and think I am the best mom ever - what more could a mom ask for.

Fantastic experience: All I can say was wow!!! Our trip was so organized and easy breezy. We stood in closta rica for 10 days and we chose 2 locations. I recommend staying at 3 locations with the amount of days. Renting a car in Costa Rica is very expensive And the roads are very stressful and confusing especially when it's raining. And remember, your in the jungle on a 2 lane highway, in mountains with no lights. Our trip included transportation. Our itinerary was customized to us we are adventurous and wanted to experience Costa Rica at its fullest. Our trip included transportation from San Jose airport to Arenal (4 days) which was a 3.5hr drive which was very comfortable, we were in a large van with A.C and chairs that reclineed. All our excursions included round trip transportation. All our drivers were very knowledgeable of wild life, the area, the roads, and their country. All our tour guides were also very knowledgeable of the rain forests, and educated us about everything costa rica. We stood at Tabacon Thermal Springs Resort, jaw dropping. We had unlimited access to the volcanic thermal springs, the mineral water works wonders for your body, skin, hair, spirit. The higher you walk up the springs the hotter the water is. Pictures do no justice. The resorts shower water was from the volcanic springs, let's just say I took really long showers. Lol. 2nd location was Puerto Viejo. We went white water rafting on The Pacuare River, which was amazing!!! We showered then we had transportation to Puerto Viejo (Caribbean side) which was about 2.5hr drive. We stood at Aguas Claras, we had our very own bungalow in the Jungle right off the beach. We saw sloths outside our balcony, a family of monkey's, and much more wild life. We also did a few excursions. We had direct contact with the office in Costa Rica and they were so helpful confirming our excursions and transportation. It was super easy and they were so friendly. I highly recommend this travel agency, for all the excursions we did and the private transportation, and where we stayed, we paid less than other people we met. We booked in Jan, and had to pay the trip in full a month before departure which was May 4th for darture on Jun 4th. Excursions: Arenal Hanging Bridges, Arenal Sky Tram & Canaopy Zipline, Pacuare River Whitewater Rafting Class III-IV (first timers and it awesome), Talamanca Bribri Reserve/Chocolate Process/waterfall tour, Cahuita Snorkeling and Rainforest hike.

Fantastic experience: The folks at Costa Rica Experts were phenomenal. They planned the most perfect trip for us. We were in the country for 17 days and visited many different areas. At each location, we were met by an English speaking driver (special kudos to Mario, Rudy, and Roger) who took us to the door of our next lodge, or to a small airport where we would catch a puddle hopper to the next location. The inns were all stunning, providing beautiful views of forest, the ocean, and/or a volcano. The service at each was excellent, and we were treated like royalty. As our primary goal was photography, private tours were arranged that surpassed our expectations. In the planning stage, they answered question after question with unending patience and created a trip of a lifetime that was flawless. Anyone traveling to Costa Rica would be well-advised to call on Costa Rica Experts!

Fantastic experience: I had requested a trip focused on birding: Costa Rica Experts arranged for 4 different lodges, each with a unique ecosystem. the birding was fantastic, in no small part due to the expertise of the local guides. the logistics went off perfectly, the food, lodging and ambience were all perfect. a true home run in all aspects. bravo!

Fantastic experience: My wife and I just got back from our honeymoon planned by Costa Rica Experts. It was amazing! We never used a travel agency and were unsure what to expect. We worked with Brandon and he made the process super easy. He tailored a trip based on our interests and preferences. Fantastic experience: Costa Rica Experts helped plan us the dream honeymoon. Having worked in travel I'm always reticent to give up control but I'm so glad I did. Monica did an outstanding job of fitting the trip to our needs; balancing relaxation with just the right amount of activities. All the hotels they chose were excellent. Fantastic experience: This was the first time I'd booked a trip with a travel agency and now I get the hype. These guys were amazing!! We chose the "Family Safari" and added on a visit to Monteverde through our agent Matt Labunski. Some research before I found CRE gave me a sense of where I wanted to go and what I wanted to do, but I couldn't imagine dealing with the nitty gritty of choosing hotels and transportation and tours beyond that. On their site I chose from a list of enticing packages, made any alterations and sorted details through Matt, and... oh, my God. This was the most relaxing, no brainer vacation I've ever had. The order and variety of all the places we went and the things we did was PERFECT, everywhere we stayed was fantastic, all of our tour guides and drivers (and pilot!) were on time, pleasant, and fun to talk to... Just phenomenal all around. Thanks, Costa Rica Experts, for giving our family one of the easiest and most spectacular trips of our lives!

Fantastic experience: Outstanding trip! I worked with Ariana Freeman. I was planning a girls trip...we love nature, are avid birders and wanted to stay in a bit more upscale places - each in our own rooms. She really listened to what to what we were looking to do; we had a couple productive calls and she delivered a great package. Having Ariana handle all the logistics was the biggest help. I did not have time to put everything together and I wanted someone who had first hand knowledges of the places were going. The private drivers, guided nature tours, lovely hotels - all with awesome service - this trip exceeded expectations. Communication was clear, prices were very reasonable (for rainy season). We were able to see a very special bird, the Resplendent Quetzal, which as a birder is one of the most special birds you could ever hope see. Thanks to Costa Rica Experts for a very special, memorable vacation.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I booked our honeymoon through Costa Rica Experts and had a wonderful experience. We worked with Ariana to get our travel booked and she worked with us and accommodated our dates of travel. I will say CRE works with the best companies in Costa Rica. I felt very safe in every transfer we took, the drivers were very knowledgeable and so friendly. Every excursion we had planned and pick up was on time and very reliable. We stayed at Makanda by the Sea first and the hotel and landscape was amazing there! It was a nice quiet resort that had really great food and was close to the beach and the bars and restaurants in Manuel Antonio. We also went to Nayara Gardens Resort and Spa and it was one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. All of the excursions went really well and the Ticos/Ticas were helpful, friendly and truly cared about each guest. I felt very welcomed there and would recommend any of my friends book through Costa Rica Experts! We had the best time!

Fantastic experience: We used CRE to book a weeklong vacation trip to Costa Rica for our family of four. Save for the flights that we booked ourselves, they took care of everything. Ariana and the crew at CRE were always available to answer questions, and when a last-minute change had to be made (not CRE's fault), they were very timely in making alternate arrangements. I can't say enough about how wonderful they were to work with, and we would definitely use them again in the future.

Fantastic experience: My husband and I always plan our trips but this time,we decided to get some help in traveling around Costa Rica. Costa Rica Experts did everything we needed, from transportation to lodging to excursions. Everything was perfect. Arianna gave us some wonderful suggestions of Lodges and arranged everything. Each driver was on time, but more important, so knowledgable and friendly. They were one of the reasons our trip was so terrific. Our plane was 31/2 hours late arriving in San Jose , but our driver was waiting for us. The excursions for just the two of us were amazing. I would highly recommend using Costa Rica Experts.

Fantastic experience: Having not been to Costa Rica before, a little extra help was appreciated. Costa Rica Experts and their associate, Aaron Daker were always there for me. We had a well planned trip with good contacts and vouchers that worked everytime. The best part of the trip was Tortuguero National Park and the quiet,comfortable Manatus Hotel right on the Tortuguero River with the sounds of the Carribbean just beyond the tree line across the river.The staff of the Manutus Hotel were great and Luis, our naturalist and guide for the park, was superb. Also, our tour included a. 4X4 SUV and we drove across Costa Rica from San Jose to Tobacon Hot Springs and the Arenal Volcano and down to Quepos to the exquisite Parador Hotel and back to San Jose. Fantastic experience: My brother, husband and I traveled to Costa Rica for vacation in January, and Costa Rica Experts arranged the accommodations, tours, drivers and guides. We were very pleased with the entire trip, including transportation between stops and tour guides, who were very knowledgeable and helpful. The drivers were prompt, courteous and allowed plenty of time to stop on the way if we wanted to see something particular. The Arenal Nayara was the best resort we have ever stayed in, and its staff and facilities were superb. Having a private tour was advantageous in that no one was lagging behind, late for departures, and there was no standing in line to be able to see anything on the tours. Fantastic experience: Costa Rica Experts has planned two trips for us: one to Panama and one to Costa Rica. Both times they found unique and amazing place for us to stay and things for us to do. We had a problem with our booking in Panama and they worked hard and made it right without us even knowing there was a problem. We really enjoyed working with them.

Fantastic experience: I just returned from Costa Rica, and Costa Rica Experts lived up to their name. The hotels were beautiful and the tours, activities and tour guides were great. We traveled to Arenal, Monte Verde and Manuel Antonio in a week, and every transfer went off without a hitch.
