Negative experience: Notary would not sign page verifing identification we presented her to use for the documents to be signed. After explaining to the manager twice before the manager had the notary sign it. The notary had an attitude and told us we could go elsewhere. Our lawyer indicated because we are out of town the notary is considered a witness for South Carolina. She indicated she was not a witness and would not sign the document. AAA has always had good customer service and would go above and beyond to help in anyway. In the end the manager was trying to assist us, but the notary refused. AAA does not need a person that does not read the documents before refusing to sign. She acted as if she could care less about our concerns.

Negative experience: I called to get insurance and these ladies kept hanging up on me and let the phone ring for 45 minutes when it was time for them to close. No one wants to work anymore. AAA the people you have working on the Shillinger rd in Mobile is not making yall money due to lack of work. Please get better people at these facilities.

Negative experience: They do not provide passport photo services that meet the requirements. Do not waste your time and money - you will be required to go elsewhere to have passport photos remade.

Negative experience: On March 18, 2025, I Called Mobile, Alabama AAA 24HR Roadside Assistance @ 3am reporting a flat tire.... I didn't have the tools to replace the flat with the spare as this was a rental......I was told it will be a 1 hr. wait....no problem as I'm at a Circle K fueled up and drinking coffee. 3.5 hours later service arrives. I receive a text from Kristal...who is perturb she has to deal with this issue...like it's my fault I had a flat tire. I have been a AAA member for years. Used the services across the nation and never been stranded and treated like this. The Mobile, Alabama branch is terrible...I hope with training and management oversight it changes for the members benefits in this area.

Negative experience: I called AAA and told them I no longer wanted their car insurance which was super high and do not take no money out of my account they did it anyway!and now almost 2 weeks later I still haven’t received my money back it’s sad they can take your money out electronically without permission but u have to wait for a paper check never again I’m very upset!

Negative experience: BEWARE!!!! I have been a AAA plus member for years! I called for a tow on my car in November of 2023. I found out from the dealership that they broke my levelers. I had to pay over $1100 at Christmas time and filed a claim in early DEC. It is now July 2024 and I have made numerous calls to AAA and The towing Co because I was told by DomiQco at AAA that I had to make contact with the towing Company. Angelos in Mobile has lied and given me the run around saying AAA hasn't sent them any info. So I sent them the invoice and pics back early March and still NOTHING!! Beware of AAA not standing behind their service! I have continued to call AAA with no response! Domiquco is the only one that is over claims I'm told. Horrible customer service and it takes at least an hour to get through to anyone because of being transferred!

Fantastic experience: Just want to say Kaylee is the best!! She is so patient and helpful and understanding of what u need. She knows her job so well. So if looking to book a great vacation call Kaylee she is wonderful to help! Get your membership it is worth it!

Positive experience: I used to love AAA. I’ve been a member for many years. I have auto/homeowners/roadside. I’m extremely dissatisfied with this office. I had an agent until she retired. Now, I’m just passed around from agent to agent. I used to feel like a person and now a number. The phone number lists here looks local ( it’s not ). The prompts on the phone don’t allow you to look up an agent and connects you to the Birmingham or Montgomery office. When they transfer you to the Mobile office, like today I had to call 9 times only to be disconnected 8 times. The last person I spoke today actually helped me by sending me to Heather’s direct line. I called at 3pm today and left a voicemail to call me back. I left a message along with my name, policy number, and the number to call me back. Here’s why I’m calling about. I get a letter today that informs me that my wind and hail was cancelled because they were not given confirmation of my coverage with AAA. AIUA said they notified me and AAA and that it is AAA responsibility to provide my DEC page. I was told by AAA when I got the notification that they had provided the DEC page. So, I’m happy and life goes on. Then I received the cancellation today. I’ll have to say that since I purchased this home 4 years ago I have gone through this each year!! My insurance is in escrow, how does this happen!?

Negative experience: On date, 09/06/2023 at about 1245 hour my vehicle became disabled in the middle of the roadway. I was located on Dru Rhu Drive just off Dauphin Street - Mobile, AL. Upon making contact with AAA Roadside Service, I was advised it would be a 45 minute delay before the wrecker could get to me. After about 30 minutes I received a call from AAA stating it would now be a 2 to 3 hour delay before assistance could arrive. AAA further advised they have no other available wreckers for me. I asked if they would call a wrecker company I knew of and they stated no. AAA left me stranded on my own. I contacted wrecker company Hub City Towing and they responded within 30 minutes. This was at my expense at this time. Very poor service by AAA, especially leaving a motorist (AAA MEMBER) stranded in the middle of a roadway. My opinion, AAA should be jumping hoops to assist in a situation like this. *And to top it off, I am now being told it could be 4 to 5 weeks for me to get reimbursed for my tow expense. Very disappointed with AAA.

Negative experience: I was told I had to wait until my insurance due date had come before I could renew my insurance I thought I could pay for it a couple of days before due date. That's cutting it real close

Negative experience: My mom called for the car to be towed.. the first person hung up the phone on her and the second person lied and said someone was going to be there in 45 mins.. now mind you, we were still waiting for them a good 20 mins when they called us back and lied and said they came and tried to look at the car and my mom became hostile with them.. nobody came !!! So, i assume they completely lied because they didn’t want to come to the area the car was in which added another hour of waiting for someone to come.. Completely unacceptable and utter trash.

Negative experience: A few months ago I was at work. I called AAA because my car wouldn't start. I was told it'll be 2-3 hours before someone could come. I ended up having to call a private tow company to tow my car home. Another incident happened in Oct 2021, my 75 year old disabled dad and I was stuck in the middle of the road in Daphne (his car cut off and wouldn't start). I called AAA, I was told they weren't letting people ride with them, asked if we had another mode of transportation. If we had another vehicle I wouldn't have called AAA for help. Thanks to Daphne police dept for helping to get us out the middle of the street. We ended up having to wait for my mom to drive from Mobile to bring us home. Lately AAA services SUCKED BIG TIME!!!!!!

Positive experience: I went in to get an international driving permit. I had my application prefilled and my photos in hand. In and out in less than 10 min. It was awesome. The staff was also friendly.

Negative experience: DO NOTTTTTT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME ON THIS THEYRE HORRIBLE NO ONE EVER SHOWS UP TO GIVE YOU ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE THEY SWITCH SO MANY TIMES TO COME OR IF THEY SHOWS UP IT BE HOURS LATER AFTER THE ARRIVAL TIME !!!!

Negative experience: I have been waiting on a tow truck since 4am it is now 9am, what am I paying for, I received a text message saying a towing company was on the way, no show, then I called back they said the order was canceled, still waiting for a tow truck at 907am I’m stuck

Positive experience: They lure with a low first year rate and then the next year hit you for a 167.00. They sell your name to insurance companies and you receive spam life insurance junk mail in unmarked envelopes so you will open it.

Negative experience: I am a 19 year member. Tonight I had a flat. Called for assistance. They told us they would have someone here by 6. It is now 9. We called the towing company directly. They told us they rejected the call. We called AAA again. Said they were sending someone else. They never arrived and now no one answers. I will be paying for my own wrecker in the morning.

Negative experience: Mixed reviews with this one. They need better packages for the prices. For example, I got a great price on roadside assistance, but it only covered for the 1st 3 miles if towing was needed. For more mileage, the rate went through the roof. Also, the quality of the customer service is choppy. Some times you'll get excellent customer service. Other times, you'll get trash - like Terri, who just kept hanging up in my face after I requested a refund on my subscription. I filed a formal complaint and no one has reached out to me. So, I guess they have no intentions on addressing the rude, discriminatory behavior that their reps sometimes exude. Also, couldn't get anyone on the line when I had a serious emergency. Join at your own discretion.

Fantastic experience: I when here to get an international driving permit. The lady that help me was very knowledgeable and got me in and out in about 15 minutes. Thanks AAA will visit again for all of my needs that they supply.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed in the quality of service offered by AAA. I was hit by a driver who did not have a license, could not speak English and did not own the car he was driving. The only thing he could say is "I had green light". Which he did not. If he did he made a left turn from the center lane into a one lane road and side swiped me. Because he lied about where he came from, we were blamed for the accident and our rates went up $1,000 a year. They never investigated the case. And, it took 2 months to get my car fixed. Now trying to change insurance agencies, they will not answer my calls.

Positive experience: I have had my home and autos insured by AAA for over 10 years, I dropped both after a disagreement over coverage. While I have some concerns about AAA Home and Auto insurance, the AAA Roadside service is great.
