Fantastic experience: This was a great tour. Cousin Maya (spelling??) was very knowledgeable and I learned tons of facts about the islands and history of Hawaii. He kept us involved the whole time and included everyone while shouting out names of different guests on the bus. Kinda felt like he was playing favourites with a few of the guests but it's all good. The one minus I'd have to say was the lunch, while my husband ordered the shrimp and loved it, I ordered the chicken and it was just subpar (kinda dry) but that was just a small minus compared to the great fun we had on this tour. Just a quick note, this is a tour of a bunch of stops for a short amount of time. If you want to explore the Farms (Macodamia, Pinneapple) in length then book another tour because you wont spend much time on one single stop. I've been to Hawaii 4 times before, and this was by far the most fun I've had on a tour. Maya made it great the whole day and didnt stop with the jokes/information the entire day. I would definitely book again. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: We went with a guide named Henry. He was terrible. When he did talk he was chewing food in his microphone. He pulled up to places and said here ya go and everybody on the bus had to ask where are we. This tour takes you to lunch and he never told us that there was food at better food stops in the tour. He took are orders on the bus and called them in. He was clearly steering us towards this place to eat. The bus was a piece of crap and most of the time i thought my teeth were going to come out from rattling and shaking. He gave us no useful facts during are trip and we had long periods of silence from the driver. He acted like he did not want to be there which really ruined the experience. This guy should get some training. By far one of the worst tour drivers we have had.

Fantastic experience: Excelent first time O'ahu discovery tour. Of course, you need a lot more than a day to realy visit such a beautiful and big island, but this tour is like a movie trailer with comments (by the tour guide artist, cousin Maiah, that adds the best value to this expericence).

Fantastic experience: Very nice trip to know more about the history of island and sightseeing some famous view points. Our tour guide “Layla maya” is a funny and well knowledgeable guy; made us a great day!

Negative experience: On behalf of a group of three, we found this tour a bit underwhelming. Tour didn’t follow itinerary properly - was out of order and some designated stops were missed altogether. We were looking forward to visiting the lighthouse but it was completely skipped over. The places that we did end up actually visiting were picturesque, however every stop was rushed and once again did not follow the timeframes allocated on the given itinerary. For example, lunch was not appropriately timed; it was listed to be an hour in length, but we were given half an hour to get on/off the bus, order, queue, eat, use restrooms, and find somewhere to sit in a packed area with multiple tour groups stopping there at once. We feel that the tour guide spoke too much; i.e the “quicker” 10 min viewpoints on the itinerary only lasted approx 7 mins on average, if that, due to the tour guide continuing to talk but then rushing us on and off the bus, so there was not enough time to enjoy the experience fully. Speakers on the coach were far too loud for a comfortable trip - even using noise cancelling headphones did not reduce the noise enough. The snorkeling location was a lovely place to swim or relax at on the beach, but not appropriate for snorkeling. The coach itself was air conditioned, which was perfect for the weather we had, and the tour guide had extensive knowledge to share, however this unfortunately limited our outside experience off the coach.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this tour. Where do I start? They begin by having a few shuttles running around Waikiki picking up passengers and then they all meet to consolidate everyone to fill the shuttles. And by full, I mean you are packed in like sardines. The seats are extremely uncomfortable and narrow. I had a contoured part of the seat in the side of my back the whole time and my wife had a lever from the emergency window in her shoulder all day. It’s really, tight. The tour guide was great, but the intercom was so bad you could only catch bits and pieces of what he was saying. The bus stopped at all the touristy things – mostly souvenir shops, etc. The lunch was good, but again, very touristy – all the tour busses were there, and it was busy – really busy. There were some scenic stops along the way, but they were 9 minutes, enough to get out, take a couple pictures and get back on. The snorkeling portion was the most frustrating. The gear is absolute garbage – you should bring your own if you have it. We stopped for 1 hour of snorkeling in Turtle Bay. If you need to change, you must do it in a restroom. There were 2 stalls for the women and 1 stall for the men. The lineup took about 15 minutes to get changed. Then walk to the beach, spend another 15 minutes messing with the crappy gear (my fabric mask headband was so stretched out I had to tie knots in it). My wife’s mask had a deformed seal and constantly filled with water and her snorkel has a stuck valve. Then swim for 15 minutes – then back to the restroom to get in the line for 15 minutes to change. That’s your 1-hour swim/snorkel. A couple more tourist stops and you’re back. As mentioned, our driver was great (Uncle Chief), but the tour itself was not worth it. For $130 (2 people) I would recommend renting a car on Turo for $50, take your own snorkel gear, spend $40 on gas and do the drive yourself. You can stop when you want, for as long as you want in a comfy vehicle.

Fantastic experience: Many thanks to cousin Miah for an amazing tour around the island of Oahu! Unbeatable price, lots of information, fun and friendly atmosphere. Had a great experience getting to know Oahu, its people and one-of-a-kind nature. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: We completed an island tour with Henry on Christmas day! He was amazing, friendly, knowledgeable although I am sure he would gave rather be at home with his family on a Christmas day! We really appreciate him spending the day with us! The only down side was the fact that we missed the Dole farm ( that might have been closed for Christmas)! Great tour - we really enjoyed it!

Positive experience: We had a wonderful experience with "Cousin Miah" sorry if that is spelled wrong. He was the best tour guide we could have asked for. He was funny and very knowledgable about every spot. I especially enjoyed his knowledge of pearl Harbour and the experiences that he had serving there. Thanks so much cousin Miah, your cousins Dan and Sasha in PEI (Canada) had the best day touring around the island with you! I did however think that there would be drinks provided, it said so on the website. I would have packed our water bottles if I had of known.

Fantastic experience: I want to start hi, saying aloha to my cousin Miah he was our tour guide and he did an amazing job for the price of this tour, it is definitely were worth it you get to see pretty much, the whole island my favorite part was the snorkeling I wish we could’ve spent a little bit more time there and the food was amazing. Fantastic experience: We had a fantastic day on our Circle Island tour mainly due to our amazing guide Miah. He was so informative and knowledgeable of Hawaii and its history and culture. He made sure that everyone on the tour was made welcome and safe and interacted with all the different nationalities on his bus. We could not speak highly enough of him, he made our day Fiona and Stephen “Aussies”

Positive experience: The tour guide, Mua, was knowledgeable, kind and fun. The tour itself was a bit of a disappointment, however, which was not a reflection of Mua’s commentary or guide abilities. Instead, the tour ended up being largely a shopping excursion to stop at various gift shops around the island. It was not what I expected. We did stop to see a few sights for about 10 minutes each and the tour included a snorkeling with turtles opportunity. Unfortunately, the water at the snorkeling spot was incredibly murky, the ocean floor was too covered in rocks and urchins to walk on, and the only turtles spotted were rather far out. The lack of turtles can’t be controlled, but a better spot for snorkeling (clearer water and smoother bottom) would improve that experience a lot. Also, the only food options, besides a restaurant exclusively offering shrimp based dishes, were Jack in the Box and Subway which were visited at 10 am. No other access to real food (not snacks) until we got back around 6:30pm. Ultimately, while I’m glad I got to see some beautiful spots, this was not a tour I’d do again or recommend to my friends.

Fantastic experience: This company is fantastic and saved our day (we had a mix up with another company and rainbow island was willing to help us fix it even though it wasn’t their issue to solve). Cavika (David) is the kindest driver and we absolutely enjoyed him.

Fantastic experience: I’ve never been on a bus tour or anything like this, but I can tell you for certain that mine and my daughter’s experience was more than ordinary. Our tour guide, Schneider was HANDS DOWN the best tour guide that ever lived! He was so impressive, with a wonderful personality and extremely knowledgeable about the island all the way down to celebrity homes and folklore. My daughter was so comfortable with him and was wanting to be his new best friend and once she mentioned she never tried dragonfruit before, he immediately turned around and got a little baggie of the sliced fruit and shared it with us. The tour alone I am sure it wonderful regardless, and I am sure that some other tour guides are wonderful as well, but nobody is like Schneider.

Fantastic experience: We had the most amazing tour guide for this adventure around the island. Fuji was extremely knowledgeable & made the tour a trip to remember. NOTE: Snorkeling spot did not provide good views. Not sure if it was weather related with the hurricane or just a bad location for snorkeling.

Fantastic experience: My family and I had an AMAZING experience with Fuji. Fuji is native born and knows Hawaii well! He is kind, informative, and willing to stop by extra places to describe and give in depth history. Well worth your money! I HIGHLY recommend this tour!

Fantastic experience: Cousin Maya (or is it Mia? Mya? He didn't spell it. Sorry cuz. ) made this a great tour. He'll guide you around Ohau while expounding upon the history, wildlife, landmarks, culture, correcting misinformation, celebrity homes, conspiracy theories and more with a practiced dry wit and impressive stamina. If he gives you a hard time, don't take it personally. He likes you . . . probably. They provide multiple pick up and drop off points. Lunch is not provided, but there are several stops we're you can pick up snacks along the way. We stopped by the Shrimp Shack for lunch. We were given about 1-1.5 hrs. for the snorkeling, which wasn't really enough IMO, you're better off exploring (but stay off any coral reefs). Highly reccomend, especially for the price we were able to book it for, and if you're a first timer like we were, it provides a helpful overview of Ohau from someone who knows it well.

Positive experience: This was really closer to about 3.5 stars but I will round it up because I liked our tour guide. Our tour guide Schneider was very funny and knowledgeable. My only issue is that a lot of the stops brought u to a place to buy stuff like souvenirs and food. I also did not like the fact that we for the most part only had shrimp as our option for lunch.

Fantastic experience: Fuji was AMAZING!! He’s so nice and knowledgeable and really is passionate about his culture. He went above and beyond to ensure you have a great time. 10/10 experience

Negative experience: My experience was disappointing. Our tour guide/driver was Mua a funny person.However, I wouldn’t recommend this tour because in the beginning we were told to wait and we wasted about an hour waiting for the Mau to come back because he was handling issues. I paid this tour because I was told when I was booking this it that one of the many places we would visit would be the Laie LDS temple. We did not stop by at all i didn’t even see it from far away. I went to the front desk of the hotel and I made a complaint about it and they said it was the driver that probably didn’t want to stop or didn’t have time since the prior issues. If you want to visit a specific place on a tour mention it to the driver first to make sure he stop by this place. I would not take this tour again.

Negative experience: Cannot recommend. Dangerous driving. Experienced road rage from our tour driver towards another vehicle. He should not do this with passengers on board. Or even in his private life. Whom do we report this to.

Positive experience: Island Rainbow Tours There is a lot to take in with this tour overall, the setup, the tour itself, and everything else. Let's start with the Cons: -Poor pickup and send off. We were picked up at a Red Lobster near our hotel by a guy who seemed unprepared and called his boss a few times to know for sure what he was doing. From there we then went to another hotel to pickup two final passengers but the bus only had one spot left so one passenger had to hold on for a little bit. From here we made it to another hotel where we got off and then had to wait around 10 minutes before they finally started to announce names and bus assignments. From here the rest of the process was smooth sailing and we were off. -We made a stop for some lunch but leading up to arriving, we stopped at a beach spot and the driver took our food order. At no point during this point, did they specifically announce that the food was not included and you had to pay yourself. The website also did not mention this. This is a snippet from their website: "We also provide some refreshments on top of the good time that you will endure on this trip." From that I would assume (or at least I believe fairly assume) that a meal would be included, especially since the whole tour lasts about 9 1/2 hours spanning from 7:30 am - about 5:30 pm. Unfortunately that is not the case and you will have to pay yourself despite it seeming to be included. The price of the dish itself is a whopping $18 USD... the food tasted good but wasn't worth $18 in the slightest. This was the most frustrating part of the tour. -The Price: if you order the tickets on their website, it will cost $72 per person (for adults). Typically it's couples so that is $144 for two people to attend this. Considering the cost, it's absolutely reasonable to believe a meal and snack might be included in the trip itself. Now for the Pros: -The tour guide: our guide during this tour was Maya, he was funny, kind, and gave so much extra knowledge you wouldn't normally get during one of these tours. He made a few extra stops since we were ahead of schedule and pointed out and thoroughly explained various points of interests around the island of O'ahu! -The sights: you get to see quite a few beautiful spots all around the island (minus the South West area of O'ahu). This includes, but is not limited to, The Dole Plantation, The North Shore (multiple beaches and you can swim and/or snorkel at one for a little over an hour), A Macadamia farm (where you can try different flavors of macadamia nuts and flavors of coffee), and multiple other really beautiful places. Overall I have a few breakdown ratings for this tour: Tour guide (/5): 5/5 Sites: (/5): 4.7/5 Planning (setup)(/5): 1.5/5 Price (/5): 0.5/5 Overall rating: 2.9 You are always free to choose to go yourself, but I wasn't overall impressed with certain elements of this tour. I really liked the tour guide but he can't single handily make up for some of the Cons.

This is my 2nd time to Hawaii and I feel like I learned way more doing this tour. His energy was great & light. He actually took the time to learn EVERONES name so it definitely felt like a family environment. He’s so knowledgeable, 100% worth it.

He told us so much about the local life here in Hawaii and even allowed us to stop so we could see an endangered seal hanging out on the beach which was super rare and incredible! Negative experience: My sister and I were nervous we would miss the bus so when we found it. We immediately went up to it. The guide closed the door and waved and said by! When my sister pulled out a receipt for the tour he opened the door and asked us what time it was and what time was our tour. He said your early. He was soo rude. Not the welcome I had imagined which set the tone for the entire trip. He then told Me to leave my attitude on the street. Also this was the only turtle we saw from the rocks. The water was bad visibility due to all the turbulence so snorkeling was a bust

Fantastic experience: Cousin Miah was the best tour guide my family ever had. He is funny, informative and full of island spirit. He remembered everyone's name within five minutes of our trip. He helped take pictures and made sure our ride was as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend for those who are interested in getting a highlight of all the special spots on the island.

Negative experience: Our bus driver for Rainbow Tours was a lovely guide but I really felt he talked too much. Also other guides from the same company would get off the bus with their groups and offer to take photos etc. Our guide would stay behind with the bus. We departed about 1 hour after the scheduled departure time because the 2 remaining seats on the bus were separated and guests coming onboard wanted to be seated together. This was very frustrating. Most of the stops along the tour were ‘tourist traps’ and not very interesting. We drove past a lot of areas of interest and didn’t stop at these places because an additional entrance fee would be required. This tour was a lot cheaper than others, so I would say it was good value for money.

Fantastic experience: If you have the pleasure of having Jeremiah Luna as your tour guide, then be prepared for one of the best island tour experiences you can have. I teach a photography class here every few months and we've used Island Rainbow tours every time for the last 2 years, but Cuz'n Miah completely surprised me in the best way possible. Despite being from Hawai'i, the man speaks somewhere between 4-5 languages seemingly fluently. While that's impressive alone, he engaged my entire bus of different international students (44~ people give or take) by switching between their native language and English so fluidly that it felt like no matter the language barrier might be, Jeremiah ensured every single person could understand him, his hilarious and heartwarming banter, and the profound amount of native Hawaiian history and knowledge that he so willingly shared with our group. If you have the pleasure of requesting a driver, I highly recommend you pick Jeremiah Luna. If you want to experience the true meaning of the aloha spirit, I highly recommend Jeremiah Luna. Even though I've been on island for the last 13 years, I learned more from him in the short time we had together than I have for the last 2 years of teaching this class and taking their tour group on the circle island tour. Thank you cuz'n Miah for treating myself, my students, and fellow staff like family. It's people like yourself why I'm still glad to call Hawai'i my home.

Negative experience: 클룩 사이트에서 Gocard 바우처를 구입한 후 Circle island tour and snorkeling 예약을 위해 전화했습니다. 통화하던 중 연결 상태가 좋지 않은 지 목소리가 명확하게 들리지 않아 다시 말해 달라 요청하니 남자는 화내듯 큰 소리로 한 글자씩 말하는데 이해할 수 없었어요. ‘무슨 뜻인지 모르겠다 다시 말해달라’ 요청하니 알아들을 수 없는 말로 짜증을 내곤 일방적으로 통화 종료함. 처음 겪는 무례한 반응에 너무 황당했지만 예약을 위해 그 뒤로 통화를 시도했으나 자동음성 안내만 나오며 연결하지 못했습니다. 저는 바우처를 환불해야만 했어요. 관광지에서는 많은 외국인들이 방문합니다. 그들에게 좀 더 친절할 필요가 있어요.

Fantastic experience: My family and I did the Circle Island tour with the purchase of the city pass it was an incredible experience. Our tour guide, Schneider, was absolutely fantastic. He was very entertaining and funny while giving us a lot of good information. He provided detailed information at every stop and along the trip and played good music in between. We were given the opportunity to enjoy and find good souvenirs without feeling rushed. We loved the snorkling and turtle watching. Enjoy Schneidera tour very much and would definately book again.

Fantastic experience: My family of 10 traveled with Schneider today (4/22/23) for my moms 60th birthday. Not only is he a local of 14+ years, he is so knowledgeable! He provided so much information throughout the tour and stopped throughout to allow us time to take pictures of the many places we visited. Schneider some how managed to keep great energy although many of us were exhausted from our overall trip. He was so kind, generous, and true definition of patient. We appreciated his candor, fun activities, and even sang happy birthday to my mom despite her being on another bus. We had people of all ages, ethnicities, and he made sure all felt included. When I visit Hawaii next time, I'll be sure to look him up. You guys have a good one, I hope you keep him employed!

Fantastic experience: shiniter is our tour guide, he is very patient and fun guy, he introduced us all the famous attractions and hidden gems, I had a wonderful time with him.

Fantastic experience: During my recent trip to Oahu, I purchased the GoCity Pass and was thrilled to learn that The Island Rainbow Tours' Circle Island Bus Tour with snorkeling was included. I called up the day before to make my reservation using the pass, and I couldn't have been happier with my experience. Led by the fantastic Schnider, the Circle Island Bus Tour was an unforgettable experience. Schnider's energy and enthusiasm were infectious from the moment we set off, and he kept us entertained with his humor and extensive knowledge of the island. He even offered fun games and prizes, including asking questions about the area and giving out prizes to those who got the answers right. He also made sure that everyone was on time for the bus and had a fun punishment for anyone who was late - dance in front of everyone! One of the highlights of the tour was swimming and snorkeling at Haleiwa Town / Puena Beach, where we had the incredible opportunity to see turtles up close. Although I wasn't a big fan of the lunch at Kahuku Shrimp - the chicken and rice were overpriced at $40 for two people it wasn't at fault of the tour and didn't detract from the overall experience. The tour ended with a stop at Green World Coffee Farm, where I indulged in a delicious coffee ice cream milkshake with a shot of espresso. Throughout the day, we blasted music and sang along, creating a fun and memorable experience for all. Overall, I highly recommend the Circle Island Bus Tour with Schnider as your guide. It's a five-star experience that you won't want to miss, and with the added bonus of snorkeling, it's an incredible value. You'll get to see some of the best that Oahu has to offer while having a blast with Schnider and the other tour participants. I'm already looking forward to going back and experiencing it all over again.

Fantastic experience: This was a great tour of the island. The driver Snyder was very knowledgeable and personable, not to mention very handsome! He also was friendly and funny , and very down to earth. The shrimp stop is a little high; however, there is a stop for restrooms midway through where you can get subway or Jack in the box. We didn’t get to Dole in time to do the train ride, other than that, it was a seaside experience. I’ve been to Hawaii a few times, but this was my first time doing a Circle island tour. They do provide snorkel gear, HOWEVER, soda and water are not provided as stated on the website.

Fantastic experience: We booked this tour with our GoCity pass and loved it. It’s a great way to experience the whole island by making quick stops along the way. Schneider was our tour guide and he was so good about sharing info along the trip and making jokes. All in all we would recommend this tour to people who want to see a lot of the touristy spots but don’t have a lot of time or a car to go around the island yourself.

Fantastic experience: BIG BIG MAHALO to our tour guide Henry❤️he is very sweet and caring. He shared many stories in details of Polynesian culture, tales, Hawaiian flowers , university of Hawaii where he graduated and his own living experiences here in Hawaii also some of his knowledge of Samoa. He even spelled many words out so we know how to write them and pronounce them correctly which is very helpful since other tours we went on didn’t tell us how to spell them, it’s just something we found very helpful to learn more about the Polynesian culture. Henry is also super humorous and witty, you guys will love him, he deserves to be an ambassador of the Polynesian culture! Most importantly he drives with caution and we really appreciate that. He also made this beautiful headband for a tourist lady, very sweet of him. We enjoyed every second with the island rainbow tour with go city pass and with this wonderful tour guide Henry. We strong recommend this! Mahalo

Fantastic experience: We booked this tour a few months ago through Groupon. Being through Groupon, we had no idea what to expect and didn't have much expectations. Well, let's just say this was the best tour we've been on. Dirk was our driver. He was really knowledgeable, and had some witty jokes that made the tour fun! We never felt rushed at any of the stops. He stopped by a lot of beautiful beaches and he pointed out a lot of memorable landmarks. I just wished we went earlier upon our arrival to the island than near the end because he had a lot of suggestions where to go. Top notch service and definitely would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Loved the tour! Snyder was an awesome guide, kept us very engaged, and spoiled our group! He took our millions of pictures, gave out little prizes for trivia, and even gave us thoughtful postcards as parting gifts. There were plenty of bathroom breaks and places to snack, so be sure to bring cash for the stands, food, and to tip the man! It’s a super long tour, but at the end we felt super accomplished! Would totally recommend for anyone looking to just relax and cruise around the island!
