Stardust Hawaii

Fantastic experience: We took a shore excursion off of the NCL Pride of America that was operated by Stardust, and went to the Iao Valley, Botanical Gardens, and a lavender farm. Our guide, Dom, was tremendously knowledgeable and amazingly was able to keep up the information flow continuously during the entire 6 hour trip. He was also very kind and courteous to all of us on the tour. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: This was a great well-rounded tour. We had many stops that were perfectly suited to botanical lovers along with the lavender farm. There was some easy to moderate hiking in IAO Valley. Lunch was provided at no charge. Our tour guide Dom, was amazing with all his knowledge. It was like a traveling history lesson. Well done Dom! I would recommend this tour to families and whoever wants just a wandering moment.

Fantastic experience: Quinn is an excellent, tour guide and driver (necessary for driving 64 miles on a very curvy and sometimes steep road). Also, he is pleasant with a great sense of humor and very knowledgeable of the Road to Hana and Maui. He is punctual and looks out to make sure his passengers are comfortable. The Road to Hana Tour is an absolute must to do while staying in Maui. You will see beautiful scenery while having a great time. No regrets with this tour. We had a fantastic day! Thanks Quinn!!

Fantastic experience: Quinn was an experienced driver, a knowledge history and culture resource, and an entertaining tour guide! The tour itinerary was followed to the letter. We got a lot more in depth history and culture information than we expected, which was right up our alley. The road was legit scary at times, and we were really happy that we didn’t try to attempt it in our own. Getting to sit back and enjoy the ride was the perfect end to our Maui Vacay!

Fantastic experience: I went on a Road to Hana tour led by Dom and had an excellent time. My party was picked up at 5:45 AM from my hotel in Lahaina, and was back at my hotel at 3:30 PM. We were given fresh local pineapple, sandwiches, chips, muffins, and drinks throughout the journey. This tour gave ample time to visit all of the best stops along the way- waterfalls, beaches, Aunty Sandy’s, and so much more. Dom’s voiceover was so knowledgeable and engaging, covering Hawaii’s geographic history, Maui’s island history, the unification of the Hawaiian Kingdom, the transition of Hawaii into a US colony and state, and many of Hawaii’s myths. He translated all of the Hawaiian names we came across, which was so helpful to understand the rich cultural value of the Road to Hana. There wasn’t a single question asked that he wasn’t able to answer. There was some road sickness from a member of my party, and Dom was more than prepared to help us navigate it with dignity! There are certainly a lot of switchbacks on the Road to Hana and it’s helpful having a tour led by an experienced driver. If you’re especially prone to car sickness, even the best driver might not be able to help you, so consider taking some Dramamine beforehand!

Fantastic experience: It was my first time to Maui and I wanted to see everything I could. So I booked the road to Hana tour. The tour was amazing, we were very lucky to have Dom as our tour guide. Dom was extremely knowledgeable about the islands history, culture, agriculture and everything in between. We learned so much and had such a fun time on the tour. Dom was very personable, friendly and made the trip really fun and exciting. I noticed at the locations where we got out of the van, other tour guides would stand by their vans and not really interact with their groups where as Dom would interact with us, offer to take pictures for us and would teach us more about each location. I feel like I got everything I could possibly get out of this tour and I would highly recommend this tour with Dom.

Fantastic experience: Did the early morn road to Hana with Eli in the Mercedes with 10 total people. It was an amazing drive up, the change in scenary from South to North Maui is stunning. Hana is tropical rainforest at elevation and drive isn't easy so the big car and able driving by Eli was welcome. He engaged the group, was kind, humble and knowledgeable about Maui. There was light snack and juice (included), we stopped at Aunt Sandy's for famous banana bread (must have), then lunch (sandwich, chips, water and Maui's famous pineapple included). Beautiful day, weather was kind with sun at Black sand beach, rain here and there but didn't stop us from seeing green sea turtle and go into lava tubes. The trip was 6am to 2.30pm for me, a bit tiring especially because in the drive there aren't much stops at lookouts (clicking waterfall pix from inside car doesn't do justice). Overall worth it, but pocket heavy.

Fantastic experience: Gaura was everything you want in a tour guide! She was extremely knowledgeable, great with people, and just a cool person! My family and I really enjoyed this tour. The stops were timed perfectly and there were plenty of opportunities for pictures! HIGHLY recommended :)

Fantastic experience: Gora, our guide/driver on the "Road to Hana" tour, was awesome! We highly recommend her. She is extremely knowledgeable about the flora, fauna and history of both Maui and Hawaii and is an excellent story teller. She kept us nicely informed and entertained throughout the day. Additionally, she has quite the melodious voice that was very pleasant to listen to. Five plus stars!

Fantastic experience: This was by far my best tour in Hawaii to the Road to Hana....our tour guide Quinn....shared invaluable knowledge of the Hawaiian culture and history....if you ever vacation here I highly recommend this company and tour...you will not be disappointed....it's a small group in a nice Mercedes van.....book now!!!

Fantastic experience: Our tour guide on Monday April 7th, 2025 was " Daum" and he was 100% wonderful, making this day on Maui, a total joy. We toured a botanical garden and a lavendar farm in ISO Valley. Hailing from Ohio ( USA) we were astounded at the variety of plants, from tiny ground covers to the giant Elkhorn fern, as you can see in the photos. This tour was through NCL cruise lines. Daum is passionate about the islands; is extremely knowledgeable and " made" the tour ; our group of 4 just loved him !!!

Fantastic experience: The Road To Hana tour was great! My family, my brother's family, and my parents all went together on this tour (11 of us) on Dec 27, 2023. Eric was our driver/guide and he really made the tour amazing. He was kind, patient, knowledgable, accommodating, and professional. He knew exactly how to help us maximize our trip and have a great time. His driving skills were appreciated, and definitely well worth it so that we didn't have to drive ourselves on this intense mountainside road. There is much more I could mention about Eric, but it would be too long. Suffice it to say, we had a great experience. Thank you, Eric!

Fantastic experience: Dom, our driver, was extremely knowledgeable about Maui and its history. There was quite a bit of driving during the Circle Island tour and Dom talked the entire time he was driving. As he drove, he told about the things we were seeing and the history of the areas we were going through. We highly recommend this tour and Dom did a fantastic job. The only issue we had was with the Norwegian classification for this tour. It was listed as class 1, the easiest level of tour. My wife uses a walker and the Kula Botanical Gardens and the Lavender Farm have steep slopes which made it impossible for her to walk around in some areas. Anyone with a walker or cane is going to have problems.

Fantastic experience: We had a great time on our adventure with Andre. He brought us to great places with amazing food and interesting stories. He was funny, kind, respectful and gave us a great perspective of island life. He provided great history of Hawaii and Maui in particular. Highly recommend this tour. Gained 5 pounds in 5 hours

Fantastic experience: Quinn was our driver and guide from Stardust Hawaii. We arrived on the Viking Star in Kahului Hawaii and departed precisely at 830am with 13 guests. Quinn's commentary was excellent, his knowledge of Hawaiin history, the Road to Hana, best photo spots and nearly any and all questions were addressed and discussed. We visited Maui back in 1980 and wanted to do this trip then. It was a 4wd odyssey then but now it is paved to Hana. The trip is worth the time and cost, the scenery is spectacular, waterfalls, deep valleys, rain forest and fantastic views of the rugged shoreline, black sand and lava beaches. Bring a raincoat and light jacket if our going in December as it was cool, rainy and very windy but a good time was had by all. Ask for Quinn, he won't disappoint. Fantastic experience: This was everything I hoped it would be! The food was amazing, local, and mostly new to me. Andre was so knowledgeable, able to answer all of our random questions as well as tell us about where were Maui and about the local food we were about to eat. He was also very flexible when we wanted to go shopping. He made sure it was okay with everyone, recommended a place and still got us back on time. If you want to try local food, this was more than worth the price.

Fantastic experience: My son and I had the great pleasure of doing the Taste of Maui tour with Andre as our tour guide on 12/04/2023. Andre was informative and entertaining as he brought us to the small local businesses to enjoy the generous tasting of authentic Hawaiian pastry and foods. We loved the experience and just advice that you don't eat breakfast before being the tour. Also no need for any light jackets as you are quickly in and out of the van an into a restaurant. Mahalo to the tour company and especially Andre.

Fantastic experience: The "Authentic Taste of Maui" food tour that I booked through my Inter-Island Norwegian Cruise was absolutely incredible! The food was fantastic and there was no shortage of it. I would highly recommend not eating breakfast before the tour as there is plenty to eat throughout the day. My tour guide Andre was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable of the area and extremely friendly and accommodating to everyone. I highly recommend this tour to others if you want to try a variety of authentic, local Hawaiian foods!

I don’t even know where to begin when planning on trip here the family said we are doing the road to Hana tour but you have to be up and awake by 5:30 and be at the front of the resort by 6:00am who wants to wake up early on vacation is what your probably thinking right? (Because we were) but hands down I recommend you booking with Stardust and request Eric to be your driver if you can not only did he safely get us all the way thru the road to Hana but knows the perfect places to snap your photos for that perfect social media post or family group picture. We stopped at some amazing places and was able to get coffee about 8:30am (in case your not able to have some before your picked up) Also stopped at Aunty Sandy’s bakery for some famous banana bread on this tour you will be provided breakfast pastries and lunch at the black sand beach ️ Eric was very knowledgeable about the history on this tour and was able to answer any questions we had! On the tour you’ll stop and get out at a few different places I recommend you take a change of clothes because you have the opportunity to swim at a few different places! We stopped at an amazing waterfall that your able to swim at and he even jumped with us! Eric we appreciate you and your time, Mahalo!

Fantastic experience: An extraordinary guide through a most interesting part of Hawai’i on Maui

Fantastic experience: We met Quinn at the entrance to our condo. He was proactive in calling please ahead to let me know of his location and he was very welcoming. From the start to finish, Quinn was the quintessential tour guide! He drove with expert care on the road to Hana, and was courteous to island residents, and allowed them to pass. Along the route he told us stories of Hawaiian culture, shared information on the Hawaiian language, and gave us background information on everything he pointed out, including the flora and fauna of the area. Since my husband and I and two friends were the only group to be on the van, he let us choose which way we wanted to go – to return the way we came, or to go around the island and experience the desert on the other half of the island. We chose to go around the island and experience the other half. It truly was a wonderful experience and Quinn provided expert driving (I don’t recommend driving this yourself!), history and culture, the Hawaiian language, and so much more about each stop as well as information on the entire area! The trip was well worth it - we learned so much and were able to experience all the Road to Hana had to offer without worrying about staying on the road and passing vehicles coming from the opposite direction in areas where it only looked like only one car could fit!

Fantastic experience: From a cruise line tour listing, we found the Stardust tour in Maui included multiple interesting locations with a tour guide and comfortable vehicle. We wanted a small group tour - not a 36 passenger bus. We were fortunate with our selection. The Tour guide, Mr. Dom, was a wealth of information about the geographical, historical, and cultural aspects of Maui and the particular locations we visited. As a long term Maui resident, he knew the communities intimately. The locations selected were prepared for the small group tour and knew the tour operator. Time at each location was appropriate - not too much and not too little. This is the way to get to know the island in a day. The guide provided a running discourse on the various places we passed in travel, so no time was left wasted riding.

Fantastic experience: Our driver Quinn was great. We learned so much from him on our tour. This tour was so much better then us trying to drive the Road to Hana on our own. There were so many details & stories of the Hawaii & Maui history that we never would have know without Quinn & his plethora of knowledge. Thanks so much Quinn!

Fantastic experience: Eric was an excellent driver and historian. We all learned so much about the Hawaiian Culture. I was so glad I took the tour and had the opportunity to relax and see the scenery. I talked with someone on the way who was driving and he was so nervous that he was going to hit someone on the one lane bridges which had blind turns, he didn’t know if he was going to continue his drive. One complaint the the front bench seat is not big enough for two large people and a regular person, way too tight. Larger people need to sit in the full sized bench seats not the partial bench seats. Do take a tour so you can RELAX, the road is dangerous and close. You need an expert driver who knows the roads.

Fantastic experience: We've just returned from a fantastic day-trip to Hana on the beautiful Island of Maui. As a couple who cannot drive, this tour was a perfect chance to experience the epic Road To Hana. There are many tours who offer the same package but look no further: excellent price point, incredibly informative and friendly driver / guide (thank-you Eric!) and awe inspriing views, landmarks and scenery. A tasty lunch is provided, plenty of rest room stops and even a chance to swim in the ocean and take a dip in one of the many waterfalls you see over the course of the trip. It's a long day, but totally worth it. Thank you Eric and Stardust Tours for a brilliant tour. Highly recommened.

My kids really loved the tour with his stories about Maui, and he geared the information to them as well. I rated this tour 5 stars because Quinn was so great throughout the tour and well prepared for any conditions. Thank you so much!!

Fantastic experience: We had the pleasure to have Eric as put guide to the Road to Hana... what a joy he was, every little detail was meticulous, his historical talea and details was phenomenal. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Eric was great. We lived here many years and took our kids for the first time. We learned some great Hawaiian history we didn’t even know. He does extras too like keeps the windows clean for pics and also serves as the trip photographer which is great. He also keeps to the schedule which we liked a lot. He’s also one of the best drivers we’ve ever had anywhere and we’ve had a lot. He’s very courteous of the local traffic. He has the perfect demeanor for this job. You can tell he likes getting up in the morning and going to his job plus he has pride in his ride and what he does. We couldn’t be more pleased with our experience.

Fantastic experience: Dom knows Hawaiian history and is excellent communicating it. He accepted his role as tour guide and went about providing us with a non-stop education. He shared abundant facts about where we were and where we were going next. On the way to each destination, Dom alerted us to a myriad of information about what we were driving pass or approaching. The tour was a great history lesson about Hawaii and it’s importance. . It obvious that Dom loves his work. He is truly knowledgeable and enjoyed sharing stories about the history of Hawaii as well as present day Hawaii. If you have an opportunity to get Dom as a tour guide jump on it, you will never regret it. We had a wonderful experience. He’s great!
