Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend The Gypsea Traveller enough! I’m the vacation planner of our family and am quite savvy finding the good deals, planning the trip, etc. And I admit, I am guilty of thinking that I don’t have a need for a travel agent in 2025 BUT the Gypsea Traveller proved me wrong. Libbi was able to find us a much better deal than I could find after a LOT of searching on an overwater bungalow at our favorite hotel on Mo’orea in French Polynesia. The Sofitel. On top of finding us a much better nightly rate - we had breakfast included too. I was also so impressed with Libbi’s knowledge of French Polynesia and really appreciated the travel information and tips (things to pack, etc…) that she sent leading up to our trip. She was also super responsive in the months/weeks prior to our trip, when I had any questions. I will definitely reach out to the Gypsea Traveller with any future vacation plans. Even while she was taking some time off near the holidays, she checked in with us during our trip. Everything went smoothly, and we have her to thank for an incredible honeymoon. Since we wanted to have some down time but also be a bit adventurous, we visited Oahu and went snorkeling in Turtle Canyon, visited Kualoa Ranch, hiked Diamond Head, explored Waikiki, drove to the North Shore, and did a lot of sight seeing. We also went to Maui and drove the Road to Hana. Libbi’s hotel and dining recommendations were phenomenal, and she made the planning easy at an affordable price. Bonus — She uses an app that stores all your reservation info (flights, hotels, car rentals, etc) in one place along with your daily itinerary. She is responsive and proactive in communication. When seeking travel advice, you want to be assured that you are getting experience and firsthand knowledge of your destination (particularly when so many changes have hit the travel industry in the last few years). Enter Libbi Roed with Gypsea Travel. A seasoned traveler herself, Libbi further brings to the table on-the-ground experience, actually living in Hawaii. Libbi begins by understanding your vacation needs. Coming from an east coast state, we’ve stayed oceanfront, so for us, the priority was a clean, comfortable, and quiet room, with space for three generations: my mom, my kids, and myself. After spending time reviewing our must haves and our nice to haves, Libbi presented us multiple packaged options including flights, hotels and rental cars. She advised us on how best to maximize our island experience, booking us an intra-week day trip to see Volcano National Park, vs our taking all our luggage from island to island. She understood a suite with a partial ocean view was a better match than having a more traditional room with a premium view. While she does work from a fee schedule for her services, there are some things worth paying for to ensure your vacation exceeds your expectations. And while other travel and membership companies offer you packages, working with an agent to build a customized itinerary allowed us to earn miles/points in our preferred frequent traveler programs, and gave us the assurance of having someone local in case anything went wrong (although nothing did!). Hawaii is an expensive destination; having someone on your side to help plan your trip is invaluable. We would definitely use Libbi’s services again.

Fantastic experience: Libbi is awesome! This was our first trip to Hawaii (my wife and I are in our 50s). There are so many options to think about when planning a trip to Hawaii. Choosing what islands to go to, deciding where to stay, the best ways to transfer between islands, what excursions to go on, where to eat, and how to best experience the wonders of each island - is a lot to think about. It's daunting. At every step Libbi provided us with clear options and caring guidance.
