Negative experience: I recently tried to book a 4-day trip to New York, Washington D.C., and Niagara Falls through Sunshine Travel for three people. On their website, it clearly showed a promotional offer pay for 2 people and the 3rd travels free starting from May 1st. I decided to call and confirm before booking. Unfortunately, my experience over the phone was very disappointing. The lady who answered the call didn’t seem to understand my query. She insisted that the offer only starts in June, even though the website mentioned May. When I asked for clarification, she couldn’t provide any explanation and was extremely rude during the conversation. When I politely asked for her name to escalate the matter, she abruptly disconnected the call. This is not the kind of service one would expect when planning a trip. It's frustrating when promotions are advertised one way but the service team says something completely different, and on top of that, handles the situation unprofessionally. I hope Sunshine Travel addresses this, as I had heard good things about them before, but this experience makes me very hesitant to book with them again.

Positive experience: I use this company frequently to get back and fourth from the Mohegan Sun. If you know what to expect, it's great. Quite simply, it is the cheapest and fastest way to travel between Boston and the 'Sun - cheaper than driving yourself and you don't even have to drive! If you're going for just a few hours, it works perfectly. If you're going for (up to) 3 days, it still works! When you arrive, they give you a couple match play vouchers; one of them doubles as a $20 meal voucher so I usually eat as soon as I get there (it works on drinks, too). I have seen reviews from this company that don't appreciate the fact that they are the only white people on the bus which I think is a pretty bigoted response. If their Chinese soap opera dramas on the TV are that unbearable, bring an ipod or take a nap, geez. You might also want to be prepared for a bit of a language barrier. All or most of the employees are fluent in english but sometimes its challenging to understand what they're saying so have a little patience with that and before you know it, you're there. Good to know: Have two $1 bills for your return trip. I don't know why the company doesn't just charge $2 more for your ticket and give this amount to their drivers but this is considered customary to tip your driver that exact amount.

Negative experience: I would give negative stars if I can. I paid for the bill two weeks in advance, but when I came to the tour bus, the guide told me that I am not in the list! Then he told me that they had received a big team and no seat left to me. No notification at all! I looked forward to it for two weeks and got this! I am still waiting for the refund, if I can’t, I will sue them!

Fantastic experience: As a certified English as a Second Language teacher, this friendly multicultural tour company is very respectful to its American tourists. It is primarily Asian-based and the tour guide was extremely helpful, so I would definitely recommend it when visiting Boston!

Negative experience: We been in 2 days tour Nj to falls.Worst tour ever. Everything with rush, they ask you money for everything, even for attractions that were free. If you going don't take the package of $75 all the attractions are free and you will see them anyway.

Negative experience: Review 1/4 The trip that I took was a four-day tour of the country of Canada. This tour included destinations such as Niagara Falls, Toronto, Thousand Islands, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City. Before Boarding the Bus and drive to Canada This tour company is money hungry and will do anything for extra cash. We realized this immediately as we had two grandparents coming on the trip originally but there was an incident in which they were not able to make it just less than 24 hours before. Our tour guide told us that since we had not notified the company 24 hours in advance we were to be fined (a higher amount than we had expected) and we agreed but instead of fining us, but the tour guide suddenly had a brilliant idea which forced us to participate in every activity even though we badly didn't want to (this ended up costing us more money, but he did this since he needed the extra cash and because he knew we didn’t want to deal with a fine) Luckily though he saved us through the horrors of the restaurants that had been chosen for the tour to eat (everyone had that privilege). The bus the subpar to say the least. It was filled with dust, which caused my allergies to dust to activate. There were pieces of gum on windows and curtains, which is absolutely disgusting. Place 1: Niagara Falls So at Niagara Falls it had been originally planned that once we took the boat ride (which was good) we would go to the hotel immediately (they don't tell you the name or address of the hotel until you reach so you will not be able to figure out how bad the hotels are until you are too tired to care) but our tour guide looked to make some extra cash and forced the whole tour to watch the fireworks but the money was only It o go to him and the driver not to the company. We didn't understand why we had to pay them (by the way it was 10 dollars per person for 10 minutes of free fireworks for all other tourists) when we didn't want to go. The hotel was a joke. Our room didn't even have a working TV and some lights were broken. The bed was pretty comfortable, but that is where the positives end. Niagara Falls is overrated and a Tourist Trap.

Negative experience: This review is in regards to our recent experience on the 2-Day Boston Maine (Acadia) bi-lingual English/Chinese tour, booked online through Take Tours website. The only redeeming part of this whole trip/ordeal was that the weather was nice at the national park. Our group was a mix of families and individuals of various ages and ethnicity. Most people were nice and mindful of time, but maybe a quarter of the group were always late or doing some socially unacceptable things like smoking near bus/playing loud music/on the phone with speakers on. Its always a gamble who you will get as travel companions.... What we ended up doing and the amount of time spent is really not worth the cost at all. Keep in mind the cost you pay to book the trip (I have seen it fluctuate between $165 - $180 per person) is just for your seat on the bus and for a place to sleep in (which they don't tell you until you are on your way there). You have to additionally pay over in cash when you board, the cost of admission to all the "optional" activities (they really are not optional as there are no alternative things to do if you do not participate) and fees "to the government" (?), service fees to the guide and drive ($10 per day), fees for parking at sites. The whole tour, the guide really struggled (she was nice but was not trained) to provide much useful information for the current tour, talked mostly about things to do in the fall. Day 1 - The company had booked more travelers than the bus can seat. Also, the bus was not checked to make sure it was in full working order. We had to stop at several places so the bus driver (who has been arguing on the phone or texting on the phone with someone from the company the whole time) could try and fix the bus. Some problem with the gears and it not being able to have enough power to climb hills efficiently. We made it to our first stop at the lighthouse (which we had to each pay $5 for), to walk around for an hour to look from afar the lighthouse. Not sure why we had to pay fees as I don't think the company had to pay any for the bus tour to park at all. We then spend the next several hours on the bus driving at or under the speed limit through local roads and sometimes on highway with hazards on to a truck stop for a very late lunch (had to pay ourselves), and sent to our hotel, which was a White House themed Best Western in the middle of nowhere. The hotel was so out of the way the only place that delivered to there was Domino's from further out into town. This was the only option for those who wanted food. We were all stuck at this cheap hotel from late afternoon until next morning. Day 2 - The company had sent a new bus the night prior, which we had to board very early to make up for lost time. The trip and activities that we were supposed to have done in the previous day to Acadia and the final stop in Bar Harbor downtown where we took a 2 hour boat tour (narrated in English so for the folks who only spoke Chinese they looked miserable the whole time and cold) and late lunch (on your own) were got to, finishing abut 5pm. We had to skip out on the random stop to Salem that was on the original itinerary. Someone got a minor scratch and we found out there were no first aid kids on the bus. The ETA for getting back to Boston was going to be about 10pm. About an hour and half left to the end, several travelers decided that it was a great time to start confronting the tour guide about refunds and start a fight. Mind there are young children on board. At one point, several travelers managed to calm down the angry individuals and the stopped the guide from calling 911 and throwing the individuals off the bus in the middle of the highway. This company obviously does not provide proper training for their employees for their job, does not maintain their vehicles or provide the drivers adequate support, does not have contingency plans if anything happens. At this point, I am just glad we made it home and nothing worse happened. This was an extremely stressful and unfortuante trip for all involved.

Fantastic experience: I been to Sunshine couple times. They helped me get the visa quickly, and found me a great deal for the air ticket during the peak season. I also booked a Canada trip for my family few days ago. The tour guide was professional and knowing lots of background information for the places that we visited. She organized the whole trip well, we have enough time for every attraction. We had a great time with the tour guide and the group.

Negative experience: 千万不要找这家連一顆星都不值的爛旅行社!我們從加州過來探親參加美東4日游,第一天上車導遊就花了大半個小時收取小费,沿途不介紹景點,每次停車就狂抽煙,有團友遲到5分鐘時的態度極差!必付項目其實都是那些本来就免費的公眾景點!感覺這是一家在巧立名目騙錢的旅行社,這家旅行社應該關門!

Negative experience: Everyone, this is worst company we ever been to, the bus broke down on the middle high way, no one came to pick us up, we were stuck on a rest area for 4 hours! We had no time for food the whole day. The company is terrible at management, they have no care for their customers. I recommend you to please don’t waste your money on this company.

Negative experience: CASH CASH CASH! When I pay for my ticket with credit card, they ask for CASH as they will charge me the additional fee from credit card company. IT'S RIDICULOUS! Sunshine Travel should pay for this transaction fee by their own when they do business with credit card company, not us - the customer! STAY AWAY

Fantastic experience: An over 30 years experienced travel agency & tour company, they sell discounted international air tickets, cruises and asian tours. They also runs own bus tours to Washington DC New York etc. Bus charter available. Very Good service!!!Helped me get a tourism visa. Took less than 2 weeks and was a bit cheaper than a few other agencies in the area. Hopefully there will be no issues when I actually use it.

Positive experience: 一分錢一分貨的旅行社,因為費用包括交通和住宿及導遊服務。所以只能對這三方來評論。第一飯店很不好,有的很臭有的有蟲印象很差,第二交通小巴椅子安排臃擠。路程很長幾乎暈車要吐了。卻沒有多餘的位子可調整。第三整個十天行程換了四個導遊服務差又不能不給小費。本來對於這家旅行社只有一星。但是有兩位導遊很稱職。為了這兩位再給兩顆星,行程故事解說很專業詳細的peter導遊以及服務超貼心耐心讓人有安全感的chris導遊。謝謝你們囉!

Fantastic experience: I took a very nice tour with Sunshine Travel to see the fall foliage in New Hampshire. The bus was comfortable, clean, and the tour guide was humorous and helpful. The tour schedule was good and the experiences with White Mountain and farm apple picking were fantastic! New England is gorgeous to visit during fall season, I really recommend it for everyone!

Negative experience: I wanna to tell to everybody DON'T GO WITH THIS TERRIBLE AGENCY. First, just the hotels are ok. You are paying 26$ for "NY night tour" i don't know what you pay for that. You have just 2 hours first day in new york and second day you have just 8 hours at 6 o clock you go to the hotel because i so so far from new york. The person who works there is so arrogant you pay for philadelphia just for half hour. In washington just 3 hours. They wanna just money from you nothing other. We have just 1 dinner chinesse and they don't worry you eat or you don't eat chinesse. All time you are on the way. One word TERRIBLE.

Negative experience: Oh my goodness I cannot believe how horrible this tour company is! Literally the worse I’ve ever been on and I’ve been on my tours I can count. They are the biggest rip off! I booked two tours and they were both awful! In Maine we were given only 1 option to eat and that was a Chinese buffet where me and my husband both got sick! The hotel was the worse I’ve ever stayed- it couldn’t have been more than 2 stars. The free breakfast was moldy bread... seriously. The tour was in English and Chinese. The tour guide didn’t know the answers to anyone’s questions. She had no idea what she was doing. I tried to get a refund for the second tour I booked to Martha’s vineyard but they refused. I spent all this money and the tour guy had us walking outside all around the island in 90 degree heat! He was speeding coming back and the van overheated and we were stranded on the side of the road in the heat with no water for almost 2 hours!!! I asked if the company would just pay for us to take an Uber back but of course they wouldn’t. This company is so cheap!! They charge just as much as everyone else but make you pay cash for additional things not included. Like everything. Nothing is optional as it says. It’s all mandatory. This company is a scam and a rip off!!

Negative experience: 第一次訂購美加六日旅遊,結果工作人員處理錯誤,導遊沒來接,害我們旅遊取消。 第二次訂訂購加拿大四日遊,導遊收了門票錢,卻沒去景點,也不願意退未去的門票錢。 導遊 Sam (陳先生)路上開車常常打瞌睡,高速公路上一直蛇行,讓車子壓線,產生震動,非常危險。 在加拿大渥太華被 DOT 人員抓到,車子不符合安全規定,勒令所有旅客不能坐此14人坐的車子,必須換車,因此提前結束最後一天行程,不願意退還門票錢,惡意詐欺。

Negative experience: 我是參加9/20(Wed)出發的美加東七日遊。 第一天有紐約夜遊行程,導遊Vivian Jing強力推薦大家要自費參加,票價是$25,本以為是常在紐約街頭看到的觀光巴士,但實際只是把我們旅客載到兩個景點下去晃一晃(合計1小時15分鐘),也沒導覽也沒門票也沒坐遊覽車。 隔天問了vivian,才說那$25是司機五天的加班費,根本不是專門for紐約夜遊的收費。不合理的是,隔天才加入的旅客,在這五天明明也有參加到晚上的行程,卻不用付這筆錢!!! 第一天的旅客真是被坑了! 其他的跟樓上網友説的差不多,行程一直趕趕趕,旅館捨近求遠,每天花在交通上就浪費不少,這是我參加那麼多旅遊中,最爛的一次經驗!

Negative experience: 6日游就是3个一日游,1个二日游拼起来的。每天的人组成都不同。6天碰到3个导游,第一个只是接机,后面2个都不好,无论是解说水平还是服务态度都不行。感觉他们忙着带游客去中餐馆、购物,而不注意服务质量。公司安排酒店比较偏远,离开景点后开车1小时住酒店,第二天又开车1小时回到前一天同一个地点。时间都浪费在路上,而留给景点的时间非常仓促。6天有3起投诉。导游说他们是波士顿最大的地接,你信吗?

Negative experience: My client ordered the transfer from BOS to NYC for 18 students and a group leader, they came to the agreed location half an hour before, but at the agreed time the driver didn`t appear, when they called, he/she told "you were not there when i was there", and the company never did anything to solve the problem. the group had a flight to catch in NYC, so they had to find another transportation urgently.

Negative experience: I took the three days tour to wahsington... booked for a bus tour but went in a van.. ac was not effective and was very uncomfortable.. the hotels they booked was ok and definitely not recommended for children's... everything was rushed to cover all places...
